Stop by on a Lark while passing through town. We were in the mood for Italian and this place did not disappoint. Loved the warm breadsticks and mariana sauce brought to the table as we sat down. Friendly and helpful staff. By far the chicken Alfredo was fantastic along with the Alfredo pizza. Big portions and although the wait time was a bit long the fact that these dishes had sauces made right then and not two hours before really came through on the taste buds. And hey, we had breadsticks. Oh, the chicken dumplings soup was the best I ever had. Nice chucks of chix and a creamy broth hot and balanced with seasoning. We ordered dessert. Wow! Biggest piece of cake ever served on a table I have been at. Moist and layers of flavor. Wife mega pleased. Only reasons not five stars: seafood linguni dish sauce too much butter/oil and bit cool air temperature.

Gondolier is about lots of food at a fair price. The quality of the food is on par with Olive Garden which is to say it is not terrible and is seasoned to accommodate most palates- read: bordering on bland. Veal parm was ok- Lots of food. Sara Lee desserts were pretty darned good.

The eggplant parmesan is the best I have ever had but the marinara sauce on the spaghetti is disgusting. The marinara sauce is like a can of tomato soup. The deserts are bland. The decor is very nice and the portions are huge.

I had the house stromboli which was much better than I had expected. The spaghetti and meatballs my friend had looked good also. Service was excellent and prices reasonable. I would return.

My wife and I stopped in London, KY and used Yelp to help us find a place to eat dinner. We enjoyed a great pizza. There is a nice family atmosphere in the restaurant with a separate bar area. We ordered the spinach and feta white pizza along with their house cabernet and were very pleased!

The atmosphere inside restaurant was very nicer then I expected, our waitress was extremely nice and the food was great. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a nice meal.

This is the best restaurant in London. My wife and I have eaten here countless times over the past several years. I usually always get a calzone or stromboli. She is a chicken parmesan fanatic, and Gondolier prepares her favorite version of that dish. You can't go wrong with the pizza, either. It's one of the best in town. If you have are still hungry after eating (you won't be), they also have excellent desserts. This is one of our go-to date night spots, though it can be a bit loud if there is a large group nearby. They also have a separate bar area with televisions.

As amazing as the all the things I mention below are, there is one thing that made my visit to Gondolier absolutely perfect. And that was the server Kelli! Kelli (trust me, ask for her! She's amazing!) made my gondolier experience the most incredible dining experience in London. She is very knowledgeable and clearly loves her job! She was my server the very first time I went into gondolier and she was patient with me and made sure to recommend what she thought I'd like best based off what I had told her. Now, I will not go into gondolier without asking for Kelli directly. You can tell she genuinely cares about her customers and their dining experience. If only every server I had was as awesome as Kelli, I'd never have to post a bad review! Hah The owners of gondolier need to give Kelli a promotion. Seriously. I'll bet my opinion wouldn't be nearly as high if she wouldn't have been my server. Anyone that has the luck to get Kelli as their server (only need luck if you aren't smart enough to ask for her) needs to tip this awesome server great. Remember, they get screwed and basically have to live off these tips! And with the way Kelli bust her rear to make sure my visit was great, I'd never believe anyone who said she wasn't worth at least a 30% tip. Don't be cheap! (No matter what server you have if they do a good job) I've had some good servers throughout my life but Kelli truly makes Gondolier shine! Anyway... This is Probably one of the best restaurants in Laurel county! Wait, no probably about it, DEFINITELY one of the best! The pizza is some of the best in town and their calzones are some of the most highly recommended things in town! Hah They also have a ridiculously awesome dessert counter too!!! With fresh cake, cheesecake, and cannolis! (I'll bet you won't find better cheesecake in town!) Gondolier also has a completely separate full bar! So you can enjoy a family meal or you can go grab you yourself a drink with your friends.

This is the reason why Olive Garden comes in and takes over. Bitter base marinara for all the sauces, very tired decor, the motto is, just drown it in sauce!

Woah, what a lot of food. I had the shrimp alfredo and it was too much for even two meals. It also came with a house salad and the ranch was terrific and obviously homemade. My party had lots of other different meals and they were all huge. The desserts looked great and my friend gave me a bite of her turtle cheesecake. It was very flavorful and rich.

Service is excellent. Desserts are extreme. The Italian food was bland. Tasted like I was eating white bread while drinking tomato juice. Hopefully, the other types of food have more taste. 3 stars for service and dessert. They make their own cakes.

Wow! I will not be returning! Found a LONG black hair in my food and the manager didn't even show up to apologize ? I understand these things happen but gees someone needs a serious lesson on how to run a restaurant.

Mothers Day at the Gondolier has become a tradition, and what a tasty tradition indeed! I took my wife and daughter there for lunch and we were not disappointed. The portions were huge and delicious. The presentation of the food was great and the service was great. Portions were so large we had to ask for a carry out box. The piece of Million Dollar Cake was fantastic! Five different layers plus the frosting. The bottom layer was a dark dense chocolate, the next layer was thick chocolate fudge, the middle layer, which was the largest, was some of the best cheesecake I have ever eaten, the fourth layer was a thinner layer of cheesecake, the fifth layer was chocolate mouse, topped with a sweet white icing. The million dollar cake was so rich that we could only eat a small portion of it. Lastly, we enjoyed the good music they played on Sunday.

From the moment my friends and I entered in the Gondolier we were instantly approached by a staff member. Personally, the staff member made me feel welcomed. The waitress was extremely friendly and nice. She brought us free bread sticks and she was attentive with our requests. I had the delicious House Salad with fresh vegetables. We enjoyed our time at the Gondolier and it was a wonderful atmosphere!

We really like the gondolier in harrogate. Our favorite place to stop when traveling. Love the Greek salad and gyro.

We came in this restaurant not knowing what to expect and we were immediately seated, brought DELICIOUS, free, breadsticks, and our drinks were regularly refilled. I really enjoyed my experience here. It was quiet enough to relax and have a conversation, and I really enjoyed the atmosphere. I'd highly recommend this to anyone hoping to find a good italian restaurant in Berea, Ky. The chicken fettuccini was what I got and it was one of the best I've had.

Had a Gondolier's special pizza. Toppings were great and the crust was Fantastic. Would rate 5 stars if they had more beer variety.

Big cakes! Super salty calamari, terrible Caesar dressing, good looking girls serving, depressing Karen carpenter playing, pretty solid gyro plate. It's mediocre. Massive plates of food for the money. Just watch your blood pressure and definitely don't expect " authentic Italian." Very confused menu. Oh and the wings were decent.

It's better than Dinos, I'll say that much. Pretty good if you want an Italian fix. try the Gyro with Ranch!!! best thing on their menu, and the desserts are very nice too. Friendly staff and fast to get your meal.

I'm on a long-term work assignment in London so I asked some locals what the best restaurant in the area was. I'm always looking for a place I can return to at least once a week. They all said the Gondolier so I tried it. I will not be returning. The garden salad was very good. However, the grilled chicken breast was so overcooked and dry that I had to smother it in ketchup just to choke it down (probably the only time in my life I've put ketchup on chicken!). I ate only half of one of the two breasts. I also had to spit out a couple of bone pieces. I asked the waiter if the vegetables were frozen and he said they were fresh, but they didn't taste fresh. Overall, I was very unimpressed. There are not many choices in the area, but I doubt I'll come back here.

Stopped in with the wife, just passing thru, and thought we'd have a little snack. Well, the snack turned into a meal. The wife had Chicken Caesar Salad and I had the specialty of Lobster Ravioli after an appetizer of Calamari. The Cal was excellent and oh so tasty. My wife loved the salad, although some of the chicken strips were a little on the dry side. For myself, I loved the Ravioli but it was so very rich. Afterwards, I had a decadent piece of Tiramisu cake (something a little different than the typical) that was extremely rich and delicious. Altogether for the two of us we ate for around $40.00 including tip and dessert. Not bad.

Great Italian. The menu is excessive, but everything I've had has been hot, fresh and served promptly. The portions are very generous, but try to save some room for a cannoli. The pizza is excellent and so is the calamari.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.

Pizza

Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.

Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.

Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.
