Went with my friend the other day for an after work drink and dinner. Liked it so much I am taking my husband today.

Loved this place! We sat outside and the atmosphere was great. We had the made as you order nachos which were excellent.

The turkey ruben is to die for. The prices are great and the atmosphere is chill. Great for lunch or dinner. Closed on Sunday though. :-(

Went here on Saturday as part of a pub crawl. The wait staff was attentive and three out of the four came to check if I needed anything while I was waiting on friends. The over appeal of the establishment was OK. The theme was a garage concept. The beer was cold and cheap.

Screw this place. Crappy service and assface doormen. The food sucked and they said all u can drink for 9 bucks but then ignored me after 5... I left pissed and will never be back again. Screw em all. Lucky for them I wasn't in the mood I argue.

Very laid back, plenty of TV to watch games & great happy hour. Their quesadillas are great (try the sunny...sun dried tomatoes, chicken, avocado...)! My stepson loves the buffalo chicken strips. Haven't tried most of the sandwiches, keep going back to the quesadillas.

Came here with a bunch of friends when we were in town for a wedding. Good location in downtown area Lot's of outdoor patio space Good prices. Does get really crowded on Friday nights though.

I can't exactly point to what it is that makes me hate this place. Maybe it's the fat doorman who gives you a pissed-off look as you come in. Maybe it's the bartender who tells you the kitchen closed at 10:30 when it's 10:31 and won't bother to check. Maybe it's the overall feeling I get that I should feel privileged to be there and they don't need my business. On the bright side, the bands are usually good and they have a nice sized patio.

Stopped in here with friends to grab a beer. It's a nice venue for a happy hour with drink specials 'til 7:00. There is plenty of outside seating and big doors that open up to make the inside feel like the outside. They have live music every night. Can't comment on the food because I never order any but I've heard that it is good. Gets really crowded on Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights.

Best fries around! Crinkle cut, crispy, and seasoned perfectly! Ordered the Southern Hospitality drink which was great but a little pricey for the size. Settled for this drink after they were out of two beers that were advertised and I had asked for, which is what bumps it from 4 stars to 3 stars for me. Service wasn't bad but not the best either. Will be back for the fries if not the drinks.

A total university hang out. Don't expect fine dining, only good food at fair prices and a fun atmospere.

Honestly, I don't get the charm of this place. It's frustrating that this has become the #1 place for UK games among students, considering it serves lousy food, mediocre liquor based drinks and often times tough to swallow tapped beer. I'm not expecting "fine dining" but bar food can and should still be exciting and great. My jalopeno poppers were not hot and the jalopenos within were way too thick. On another occasion, my buffalo chicken quesadilla's cheese was not fully melted, so it was a mess. Drinks are okay at best, but I can't expect much. Bartenders can be overwhelmed there when it's busy, and with a pretty lousy set up for the traffic to both stand and get to the bar when it's crowded, it can be a lot to handle I'm sure. One thing that is most unexcusable: the bathrooms. Sure they can get in disarray on a busy night (which is still disgusting and unacceptable), but I have been during the week and there been puddles on the floor. Yikes. The service isn't bad, which keeps the rating from being poor. When I have gone in on nights for music, the acts range from decent to okay, which also helps this place get a 2nd star. However, there isn't much else to shine about. If the students had any sense of history, this place wouldn't compete with Two Keys because the only way it should be a better place to watch a UK game is because it's food and drink is better, not because "it's the place to go" and the atmosphere. Two Keys always to me will beat them on both. To be honest, Two Keys isn't all that either, has crappy bathrooms and is average in a lot of ways, but it has been a campus icon with the loveable, hole in the wall feel Tin Roof tries to fake with it's theme. Thus, there is no reason why a so-so Tin Roof down the street should get the appreciation that it does.

Come here for: - Overpriced WEAK drinks in plastic cups. - Student explosion. - Duders wearing three identical collared shirts of nonidentical color. - Generally poor decisions.

This bar is awesome to watch the Cats play or listen to live music! Their food is really good for bar food. Bartenders and waitresses are friendly and efficient. They have good drink and food specials throughout the week. Gets packed late night but that just means it's the place to be! Very fun college bar!

I wasn't expecting it to be super clean or to be able to order anything special, but I guess I was expecting music I could dance to and reasonably good service, neither of which there was. Also, we ordered Jaeger bombs and they came pre-mixed in plastic cups so, you know, there's that.

Came here for lunch with a couple of friends and the service was only ok. We waited a while for the server to approach our table, but the host was more friendly and attentive than our server. I asked our server if she had tried the Pizza Dillas and she had not, and went on to say if I thought the ingredients sounded good then I'd probably like it--uh, thanks. I got it, and it was not bad, but not the best either. One of my friends ordered the California Quesadilla which he enjoyed, and my boyfriend really liked his Turkey Club. Then one of my friends noticed a piece of corn in his water, but the host promptly switched it for a new cup. All in all the food was good for the price, but not outstanding, and the service was sub-par.

Sometimes the crowd can be a little young but it's a great place to go on game days!

They make a few good sandwiches here. I had the BBQ Tenders sandwich, which came with fries. Total was something like $8. So, not that bad of pricing. The main draw of this place is booze and music. It's one of those college-town bars that every large college has. You know, the one with the haphazard wall "decorations". That is, there's a bunch of random signs, trinkets cobbled together on the walls. I can imagine that this place becomes something of a nightmare later in the evening with troves of live music goers and drunk college students. Hey, that might be what you like, and if so, you'll have a good time at Tin Roof. It just isn't my scene.

Went there with friends on a vacation in May 13. We had a lot of fun and the drinks were cheap. When I go to Lex again I will go there for some drinks.

A college bar yes but by far my most favorite place in Lexington. I'm here typically twice a week. The wings are traditional upstate NY fare which is why I return week after week. So for all you true Yankees who can't find that traditional Buffalo hot wing we all have come to love and can't find anywhere outside of Yankeeland they are here. Mondays are all you can eat after 7. Beer is cheap, decor is typical college atmosphere, the restrooms are always clean and stocked. Fear not, there is more to eat here than just wings but that's all I get, the rest looks good too but I have never wanted anything else.

I always have a good time at Tin Roof. Most recently, I was there for the NCAA Championship basketball game. Unfortunately I didn't get there early enough to get inside the actual bar, but they had a great setup outside with an enormous LED jumbotron type TV and another 70"+ screen under a huge outdoor tent - think "outdoor wedding tent." They had beer available at the outdoor bar, but unfortunately they were not prepared to accept debit/credit cards outside. Various times throughout the year Tin Roof hosts some decently known bands, and it is very cool to see such performances for a significantly lower price than a ticket to a standard concert venue. They usually have some sort of drink special - especially during the summer months and during football season. As this location is pretty much across the street from a major university, there should be no surprise about the makeup of the patrons here. But like I said, I always have a good time at Tin Roof!

I have not been here when the band was playing and do not think that I would want to either. The restaurant is small and without the out door space would be awkward. I stopped for lunch and watched a college football game. Service was nice and friendly. Drinks were filled and food was simple but of quality for bar food.

Great place for a beer, and to hang with friends. So so bar food, nice beer specials.

I did not eat here but while stopping through town met an old buddy for a Beer. Can't say enough good things about this place. It is like a beach bar smack dab in the middle of campus. They had a nice selection of bourbon and scotch. A great deal of a beer special was in place for a Saturday afternoon, and the Bartenders were funny but not too cocky.

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
