While kind of hidden away in a shopping complex that resembles a housing development & with menu items that essentially render it Irish in name only, I found the Shamrock Bar to be Grille to be a more than worthwhile stop on a recent visit to Lexington. I went just after the peak lunch hour on a Saturday afternoon, so while there was a crowd, it wasn't too busy. I sat myself & a waitress quickly took my drink order & gave me a menu to look at. I went with the French Dip & a side of mashed potatoes, & for dessert, I had the cookie dough egg roll (random, but delicious!). Service was quick & the portion sizes were considerable. Sirius 60s on 6 played over the radio, making for pleasant background music that seemed to suit the crowd there at the time. Will plan a return visit on my next trip back to Lexington.

Really good place to watch a game. Good food, cold beer, endless frosty mugs, and staff that knows how to let you watch the game without pestering you.

This is a solid pub. The staff was helpful and the food was good. Definitely has a local vibe to it but everyone seemed cool none the less. I'd come back next time I'm in town. Wish my town had something like this.

So impressed by this place. The prices are beyond fair & the food is excellent. Awesome burgers & appetizers. Plenty of beers to choose from. The staff is prompt & courteous. Awesome place to go watch a game or just hang out with friends. They also have a patio. We will definitely be going back!

This place is so close, and I'm glad that it's solid. I've been here twice now, and enjoyed everything I've had. Burger, wings, fish and chips, all recommended. The drinks are reasonable, and they have trivia on the weekends which is lots of fun. My only complaint is that the service I've had when I'm there has been lackluster. I hope future visits provide servers who are more attentive, but other than that, highly recommended.

I really like this place, as far as a sports bar goes. Great atmosphere, great service, great food, reasonably priced and good selection of drinks... Both times I've went, it's been pretty busy. First time was on a Saturday evening when there were no major sporting events going on (just some college football games) and it wasn't suffocatingly crowded, but it was definitely full of people. The second time was on a Sunday afternoon. Again, it was pretty packed. That shows me that it's a good bar. The bartenders there seem great as well. Very nice, joke around with certain people, are sweet to everyone. The food is great too. I love their o'rounds. I've had their beer cheese o'round and it was delicious. Shoot, I'd order to-go from here just for one of the burgers! The appetizers are great too. The nachos were HUGE (you could easily share with a few people). The beer cheese dip, potato skins, and mozzarella sticks were all tasty. The drinks weren't overly expensive, there seemed to be a selection of beers on tap. I'd definitely recommend Shamrocks for anybody looking for a fun bar atmosphere on game day (or whenever!)

The burgers are so good! The beer selection is great on tap along with many types of burgers. Do I need to say anything more?

I love this place!! Not only is it close to home, it's good, has fast, friendly service and is not too expensive. The kids like it here too... especially the cookie dough eggroll!!!

Great food, tons of craft beer on draft, and an awesome staff and atmosphere! They always have something going on from sports on TVs visible from every angle to trivia on Mondays & Thursdays to live music on Friday and Saturday nights to the blues jam on Sunday nights. Great daily lunch specials and O'rounds and breakfast specials on the weekend.

Great not so little hole in the wall. Only great place for game day in town. It looks small until you walk in. Everybody is ultra nice. Southern hospitality.

I love this place. They have 2 locations, but this by far is my favorite. They have a lot of indoor seating and great patio. The patio is perfect for summer good weather drinking for sure. I would suggest to get there early if you want to cop a squat at the patio it tends to fill up fast. I may have been spotted here drinking on many occasions. They have a huge variety of beer on tap and a full bar to boot. Shammy's has great pub type foods. Their Irish Nachos are addictive and so are their Rubens. It is an awsome sports bar, in my opinion, with tvs all around. I have watched quite a few games here in my time. They also randomly have live bands or do trivia. I so suck at the trivia. Quite a fun place to hang out. The staff are on point all the time which is very impressive. They usually know what I want without having to order. Stop in have a drink and order some Irish Nachos.

Great little pub tucked into the Patchen Shopping Center off Richmond Road. My friends and I watched the UK game there on Saturday night. They have plenty of flat screen TV's lining the walls. The décor could use some updating. The service is friendly, but not super attentive. I had the Irish Cobb Salad (hold the cheese) and it was delicious. My friends enjoyed the loaded tater tots, burgers, and fries. It looks like they have a great selection of typical bar food. I was impressed by the freshness and presentation of my salad. In a place like this, usually salads are an afterthought, but this one was really good!

Typical Irish inspired bar in America. The food is actually better than the booze! Burgers are tasty and playing darts is fun. I've never been on the weekend but weekdays are pretty dead.

One of my favorite spots in Lexington. Typical bar food, but the atmosphere is fun. Love the Irish Nachos and the burger is among the best tasting in Lexington. Great local crowd, good music, trivia nights, and great food make this one of my go to places in all of Lexington. If you're visiting from out of town and want good food, good drinks, and a great local atmosphere then you need to stop in. Menu recommendations: Irish Nachos, Burger, Chicken thingies, Cajun Grilled chicken sandwich, BLT, Chili, and the Club. Buffalo chicken dip is also a great appetizer. One more thing, if you're in Lexington on St Patrick's day then this is a must.

Absolutely the nicest servers and bartenders I have encountered in Lexington. I love the beer, and the food...With one exception. I would have rated 5 stars..but the fish and chips I had there was so bad I had to spit it out and demand my money back. Other than that, everything else on the menu I have had was very enjoyable.

Can't find anything bad to say about this place. Great food! Great neighborhood bar/grill atmosphere. We will definitely come back when in the area.

Fun bar. Good service. Allot of tvs. And i think they have some of the best food in town. Usually a 30 to 40ish crowd so not a lot of kids. One of my favorite places in town.

My favorite hang out in lexington! I'm not a drinker or a big sports but I love the atmosphere and food of shamrocks! I love trivia and some weekend nights they have live trivia. I went one night it was fun but very loud and busy. Shamrocks can get very busy and loud so if you do not like that it isn't the place for you. In the summer months the patio is open. I do wish the bar was bigger it tends to get cramped when it's very busy. There are several choices on the menu. For appetizers they have great homaade soups and chili. I love the sherpards pies potatoes skins! The wait staff isn't so great when busy thou so I'll give them a four!

It's a sports bar, a neighborhood and a just a good all-around hang out bar. Nothing pretentious. I've been here a few times when visiting family in Lexington and it caters to just about anyone. The last time I was there, an acoustic guitar player was playing music. He did a decent job. I liked that it wasn't too loud that you couldn't hear yourself. If you like darts, they have several dart boards. I played a few rounds with my brother and sister in-law. Damn, I smoked them at darts! I was on a roll and hit 50 bulls eye in...in a row! Beat that. Hey, it's my review and I can tell whatever lies about my dart game I want.

I met a friend here on a Sunday afternoon and the place was packed. I just ate and chatted for a while but it seemed like everyone else was there for hours, watching the games. Our waitress, I thought was a bit unattentive though. I seemed to be the only one around eating so I guess she was attending to more of the beer ordering. I ordered something like "the thing platter", it was chicken tenders, waffle fries, cole slaw and a gravy like dipping sauce for $9.99. The chicken tenders were basic like, grocer tenders, the fries and the slaw were excellent. I didn't care for dipping sauce though so when the waitress finally came back over, I asked for ranch.

Had a great time here music was a little too loud couldn't hear the conversation of my group they had a trivia night going wich I thought was really cool I had an o round and loved it but my cheese stick order wasn't put in until after my meal was brought out but the waitress was nice enough to take it off our ticket

Huge portion of decent food. Great music! A nice place to hang out and chill. Not too hippie the way I like it.

We stopped for dinner and ordered the derby and the routhlesburger. They were both excellent. First time I didn't need ketchup to eat a burger. Great flavor, affordable, and the service was prompt. It has a sporty environment, I wore yoga pants and fit in. Good mix though of people getting off work, and super casual too. Too bad we don't live nearby or we could definitely become regulars.

Great pub food, atmosphere, and beer selection. Ever though they no longer offer Woodchuck Cider on draft, Strongbow Cider is now an option. They even offer a gluten free menu! This is a great place to meet friends.
