Very good food. Friendly and good service. Great atmosphere. The food experience in Lexington leaves a lot to be desired. But this restaurant has food that could be considered good, even in a more "foodie" city. We had the beer cheese steak nachos, pork bbq sandwich, hot brownie cake in a cup (or something like that) and the bananas foster waffle. Great beer selection too.

I guess it's because I am from California so I am spoiled with good authentic food because the chicken and waffle here were...meh. I've definitely had better. I picked this place to try out during my weekend trip in Lexington because of the witty witty name. What's good? Saullll good! I chuckled to myself as I made my way to the restaurant for a late lunch. People were watching the UK basketball game so the place was pretty packed. The waffle was not that fluffy as I would have wanted and the chicken was kind of dry and not that flavorful. I keep having to dunk it in syrup for it to taste a little better and more flavorful.

Large portions, good food, not amazing service. Great BBQ pork sandwich and beer cheese and steak nachos!

They're really nice for an affordable date, I didn't really nice. I didn't really like the chicken Caesar salad, but the pizza is really good. The music is kinda weird.

I've never had chicken and waffles prepared Saul's way before and after tonight, I wouldn't want it any other way. Chicken brings a unique taste of spice and adds a nice kick to the entire meal. I could only finish 1/4 of the meal so I recommend sharing this plate! It's a must! As far as libations, I decided on the Banana foster martini and was also equally delicious! Ambiance was perfect. There is a nice bar area with high tops. I chose to sit in the dining area and was comfortable. No slack from waiter as I took a 4 top. Impeccable service. Overall a wonderful establishment with great food, great ambiance, and great service!

This is one of my spots! I don't go often enough, though I work downtown, its one of those spots, where you don't want to go alone and you don't want to just pick something up here... So I brought my best friend for lunch. She had never been here before. So we ordered the nachos and a pizza to share. I think here, is a good place to get stuff to share. I brought my kids here one day when there was no school (since on days school is canceled due to weather they have 50% off the entire menu from 11-2) and we all got something and shared it. This is when we discovered the steak and beer cheese nachos! Oh man! So when I told my friend we were getting beer cheese nachos, she kind of snarled at me, but by time we left, she said that's what she wants everytime! Oh yeah, make a believer out of her, right? Ok so we also got the Chicken and rosemary pizza... It was her choice, a choice I would have never chosen on my own, but was happy to share with her, and it was devine! I think I know this is a new favorite. I am not much of a white pie kinda girl... I love my reds, but this one gets its own award for sure! the manager always comes and checks on you when your there, and though my best friend wore a Louisville T-shirt, he still made her feel right at home! Ok so I have also tried the chicken and waffles (oh man, one of my favs for sure!) big breakfast (you can ask for fruit instead of potatoes, thats if your being good, but I am never good) portobello mushroom melt (delicious...for real!!!!) and the pork chop (its decent, not my fav pork chop ever, but hey, who doesn't like to gnaw on a bone right?)

The short- the food is amazing, but the service is so terrible you may not stay for dessert or order that second beer... The long- downtown Lexington is a bit crazy in Thursdays. Don't get me wrong, it's super fun and the Thursday night live scene is awesome but crowded. Saul good was no exception tonight. Which is fine, I love Saul good out by the mall- so why not? First we were seated at a tiny table- which is fine, but we ordered two drinks, and an appetizer. In response to whether or not we could get the wraps without mushrooms, she replied- I guess someone can pick them out. Then we ordered a pizza to split and had planned on dessert. Our server brought out the metal holder for the pizza before we even got our appetizer, so when that was brought out, there was no room. Server seemed perplexed. Then our pizza came out before we even tried our app, and again, no room. At one point she even commented on it, and offered to take plates out of the way- which would have been great! But she didn't. Anyway, she never refilled our waters after an initial fill. Never offered more beer. We waited forever and were never greeted by a manager or checked on our server. So, we paid and left. And I really, really wanted that bananas foster waffle. Like really bad.

What a great experience! As soon was you walk into Saul Good, class is introduced. Saul Good has a great reputation around Lexington of being a mid-scale restaurant and it definitely delivers. I typically order the BBQ Chicken pizza which displays BBQ sauce, chicken, caramelized onions, cilantro, and bleu cheese crumbles. The flavors all combine to create a very great meal. With the addition of a salad beforehand and a glass of wine, a very wonderful, overall experience is crafted.

So we are in Lexington for the first time and want to eat so we naturally call on Yelp for Help and it never lets me down. This is more a restaurant than a pub to me but they do have a excellent beer selection. We ordered the lettuce wraps for a appetizer and they did not disappoint us, pulled pork and ribeye were very good. Atmosphere and backround music was pleasing , the place just has a good vibe! Service was excellent and the "Bananas Foster Waffle" for desert is amazing.

Pizza last night was delicious and not overly filling but I probably should not have eaten it all. Not breaking any new culinary ground but I feel compelled to share that my service was great. I sat at the bar even though I don't drink because I travel a lot and eat alone often and it is generally more entertaining at the bar. The bartender was great and knew his way around the menu. I saw some negative service reviews but on a Tuesday night it was great. Not overly busy but about 75% full. Nice ambience as well.

Went here with a large group for dinner on a Saturday evening. We had a set menu--apps were passed to start--delicious pizza squares, lettuce wraps and some undefined dip that was habit forming. Private room was great, service was very attentive and foods was delish.. I had the pork chop and it was prepared well and served with yummy garlic mashed potatoes and what were described on the menu as green beans almandine -- beans were not almandine but were fresh and tasty. Had the "popcorn" for dessert -- bit disappointing but the sorbet hubs had was delish. Hubs and daughter had generous portion of salmon with same sides and they were well prepared. Would really like to return for a taste of what were some yummy looking pizzas and salads... overall good experience.

Good food and a great place to take a kid to eat when going to the museum, a show, or just goofing off downtown. Although I dont see why people wanting to eat outside on Broadway dealimg with traffic, exhaust, dust and dirt flying, and then there is the noise but... to each their own.

I like this particular location for the view, but parking can sometimes be an issue. I've had several entrees here, my favorite being the chicken and waffles. So, so good! I also loved their bananas foster waffle..out of this world good!

This is in a great location for those staying in the hotels downtown - it was nice to have a place we could quickly walk to in the freezing weather. The atmosphere was nice and our server was great (kudos to the one person in the entire United States who can pronounce my last name correctly - seriously, he is a genius). The food was fine - nothing bad, but just okay. Perfectly fine for the price. Would I go out of my way to eat here if I lived in the area? No. But if I was staying at a downtown hotel and needed a place close by to eat? Sure. I had a pizza and my husband tried their steak (which, oddly enough, was served in a bowl with sweet potato fries). All in all - it is just a regular chain-type restaurant.

    (3)
  • Rachel F.

Local chain? I think yes, but is that a bad thing? (The answer is no if they do it right!) Killer service? Yes, definitely. Our server was on point! Delicious local microbrews? Of course! The Porter I had was amazeballs. Chicken and waffles? Yes please, over and over and over again. "Waffling" between three and four stars here, but I'll round up. Get some coffee, chicken and waffles, and a porter at Saul Good and you're rocking lunch like Southern-ish royalty!

  • Philip A.

Ok, not as good as advertised... Order French onion soup and well it was cold! By the time I got it back it was hot and my meal came at the same time! Poor form! I hate a place that get the appetizer out and two seconds later the meal! The service was just ok! On the positive side the burger meat was cook well and had good flavor. That was the only positive! I don't plan on going back and think twice about going there!

Second visit to SG, still a five star experience. This time, I tried the Nutella melting cake, one of the best desserts that I've had in a long time. I wanted to mention, that because it's downtown, the parking may be scarce. If you park in the parking garage, across the street on the corner, just ask the restaurant hostess for a ticket and that will allow up to three hours of free parking.

  • Della M.

Fantastic! The food was so delicious. Service was attentive and fast. We started with the steak and beer cheese nachos which were very good. Two of us had burgers which they said were very good. The other two of us had the pizzas which were a very generous portion. Two people can share one pizza the portion is plenty! The Parisian pizza was amazing! Highly recommend if you like a sweeter dish.

  • Lloyd M.

Had a fantastic lunch here. Went with the sesame crusted mahi mahi. Fish was very fresh and prepared perfectly. Crust was very tasty to the point I was eating little pieces that had fallen off. Worked very well with the wasabi mashed potatoes. Loved it so much almost went back the next day for the exact same dish.

Pros: great local brew selection, delicious menu options, nice atmosphere Cons: understaffed and slower service (to be fair, I have only been here one time and this was my experience on a Saturday afternoon) Stopped through Lexington while traveling, and used Yelp to find a place with decent reviews and a good bar. This place definitely fit the bill! We cozied up to the bar which had plenty of TVs for your college football watching pleasure. There was a decent selection of local beer which I was happy to see. I hate going to a bar only to be given the options of Bud and Coors. I enjoyed a nice pint of West Sixth when I was here (and actually hit their tasting room on my way out of town because I liked it so much!). Started with their soup of the day which was a chicken and shrimp gumbo. It was delicious, and had the perfect consistency. If it's ever on special there, order it and you won't be disappointed. After feeling a little full from our soups, we decided to split an entree rather than each get our own. The turkey cobb was a nice little sandwich served with seasoned fries. I personally did not care for the seasoning on the fries. They tasted as if they had been dusted in creole seasoning, which just didn't jive with me. All in all, aside from the fries, the meal was pretty good. If I am ever in town again, I'd definitely swing by this place again!

Anytime you see the zebra sidewalk or awning...you are in for a treat. This place has great food at great prices. I haven't had anything bad here ever. They are very well decorated and the atmosphere is relaxing. They have a full stocked bar with excellent service and great food. They are known for their pizzas and their well thought out salads. Their salads chopped up small enough so that you get a bite of everything in the salad with every bite. It also has just the right amount of salad dressing mixed in with it. I have learned to ask what their monthly special item is at the time. It is normally a pizza and an entree. They are always well prepared and thought out dishes. Stop in here and enjoy a great time at a great price.

Absolutely amazing! The wait was pretty long because of the Rolex 3 Day Event, but once we were seated the service was superb and the food came so fast. Our waiter was so friendly and enthusiastic and really made the experience even better. Every single course was to die for... From the drinks to the appetizers, to the entrees, and the dessert. Highly recommend the cheesecake! The atmosphere is very unique with rustic charm which we learned the owner's wife designed. We were upset when De Sha's closed, but I think Saul Good is our new go to!

After victory at the KHSAA state basketball tournament, we were looking for somewhere new to eat. We decided to walk around downtown and our feet led us Saul Good. The food was delicious and service excellent. My only regret was that I did not have enough room to sample some of the desserts.

I've been to Saul Good' a few times, but this was my first visit to this new downtown location. The ambiance is great. I love the black ceilings and fans with the chandeliers. My friends and I ate here before the concert last night and even though we were seated right before they for busy, the service was still great for as packed as it was when we left. They had half off drafts. I ordered the blue cheese burger and it was really good. One of my friends had the wasabi mahi mahi and I took a bite of it. Great flavor! I will definitely get that next time I go although the mashed potatoes it came with were spicy she said so I would probably ask to substitute that if you don't like spicy food. One of the best things on their menu is the fondue. We didn't get it on this visit, but I have had it in the past and it is delicious. My friends would come and split that since it was around 15.00 but 3-4 people can easily eat on it. You can get milk chocolate or dark chocolate fondue. It came with around 4 food items to dip in the fondue. Definitely a must try!!

I'm here in Lexington for the first time and needed a quick lunch. I got the bacon cheeseburger. The burger was pretty dry. The fries were good though. They had a few local beers on tap I had a blonde ale that was good. I was the only person in the whole place so you'd think they could give my food some extra attention but unfortunately they did not. I don't think I'll be back here. Lexington seems to have some nice little places. Next time I will try something a little more off the beaten path.

It's been at least a year or more since I have eaten at Saul Good. What I remember about this restaurant is that their menu wasn't of much variety. Boy, was I wrong! I went tonight to give it another shot, and saw a huge improvement from the last time I was there. I shared the beet and goat cheese salad and the steak nacho starter and both were amazing! I will most definitely go back to eat here again. I also really liked the downtown location.

I travel to Lexington frequently for work, and I usually stay at the Hilton just down the block from Saul Good. I've eaten here six or seven times, with large groups, small groups and by myself, and I have yet to have a bad experience. Let's start with the ambience. It's casual, relaxed and comfortable, yet classy at the same time. It just feels right. I've sat in the bar and in the restaurant area and both are great. Not too crowded, but enough people to feel like there is something happening. Onto the food. I've eaten something different each time I've been here and have not been disappointed. Tonight I had the french onion soup and the fresh strawberry salad. Both were excellent. I've had the Thai pizza, which is also good. And of course the chicken and waffles. If you only come here once, you should probably get that. Last but not least, the staff. Always friendly, and refreshingly unpretentious. There are few restaurants I can say this about, but I could eat at Saul Good every night and be completely fine with that. It's all good.

We went here for some food after a small bar crawl around Lexington. This place is great in terms of drinks and location. We all ordered different entree's, the ribeye was over cooked at first which was kind of annoying. Jeff (the waiter) took care of it though which was awesome. He was extremely polite and listened to everything we had to say, and was also quick in his service. I would easily come back here

The good: the food, the service, the unique atmosphere. The bad: parking, lack of a changing menu. The rundown: this particular location is Lexington's 3rd Saul Good based in "The Square". The food has always been well prepared, however nothing has ever been something you want to come back for time and again. I will say that you should try something different each time you come as the items can vary greatly in flavors and textures. The one item I can most assuredly get is a half baked cookie in a cast iron skillet, it has a scoop of ice cream and everything, you can't possibly go wrong. Their beer menu occasionally changes, but mostly keeps the same decent variety of brews, their specialty drinks tend to be more seasonal. Service here is always quick and attentive. The decor is a little funky in a good way with the zebra print and stained glass. The downside at this location is parking. If you can't find street parking then you have to pay at the garage next door, which of course is paid. The impression: though the food is not something amazing, it is always good, and always reliable, this making it worth a place visiting multiple times. If you are wanting to try it without being downtown check out their other locations for the same experience.

Have now been to Saul Good's twice and it has been EXCELLENT both times. Awesome pub food and great beer selection. But the best part is the staff. Both kitchen and front of house absolutely shred. No one misses a beat in a packed and crazy busy atmosphere. Even on a super busy night, we got our food quickly, it was hot and perfect and delicious. There is an open kitchen and you can see the line cooks just getting it done. Would be happy to go here every time I visit Lexington.

The food and drinks were excellent! It would get a 5-star if it wasn't for a few things. One, the server didn't know if she could give a small sample of beer to see if we liked it... The answer ended up a "no", which is quite unusual. She said we could get the flight of beer where we could sample different kinds, but me friend didn't want that. Two, the tables were jampacked next to each other you barely had room to sit. Three, the server didn't know the specials or the soup of the day stating "I don't know the soup of the day because it's new today". We just had to laugh at this one... I think a lot of these will ease once their settle into their new location. The manager continued to go around to the tables to see if everything was okay, in the hour to hour and a half time frame we were there, he stopped by her table no less than five times. To us, this was a little excessive and annoying. Other than the above the food was fabulous and the drinks were amazing. I would recommend trying the local beers - YUM! A perk, they come in some pretty cool glasses. I had the Cajun chicken pasta. My friends had the breakfast and the other two had different hamburgers. All of the meals were fabulous, we all ate every bite of ours! I would definitely go back and try other items on the menu.

We strolled down to Saul Good for dinner when I was in town visiting friends. With a party of seven, I knew we might have a bit of a wait. There was a table that was just finishing up in their 'Elvis' booth so we decided to hang out for a bit while they cleared out. It took them a while to decide it was time to go, but I won't blame the restaurant on that one; it's a pretty cool place to hang out after all. We ordered drinks and appetizers for the table, but I was more excited about my dinner choice: chicken & waffles! Well, if I would have known that it was going to be delayed because they were having problems with the waffle maker (anyone heard of PAM?) I would have maybe gone with something else. And the staff was nice enough to take care of my meal; we're talking at least a good 10 minute wait after everyone else's food came out. However, all being said & done, the meal was well worth the wait. The chicken was fried crispy, the waffle was cooked just right and the syrup added the right bit of sweetness to the dish. Dessert had caught our eye when we were waiting for a table so with a couple rounds of chocolate covered popcorn among many other sweet treats, we were all happy campers and went home with very full bellies.

  • David Y.

Great service and good ambiance. I felt the chicken and waffles was missing that crunch on the chicken and a crispness to the waffles. The boneless chicken was a great touch but i think dark meat might go better in general with the dish. The Cajun Pasta had a good flavor profile but I might do a little better with spicy sausage rather than a chicken.

3.5 stars. Good beer on tap and good burger with above average cheddar cheese. The seasoning on the shoestring fries (meh) was a nice change-up. Friendly and efficient staff.

Went for dinner about 9pm on a Saturday and there were many full tables - so popular place. Asked to sit in the back room because the main room was craaaazy loud. But the back room allowed for conversation. Ordered the Hawaiian burger-- teriyaki and grilled pineapple. It arrived and I took a big bite... Jalapeño !!?!! Turns out the server entered the Texas burger rather than Hawaiian. She was apologetic but didn't really know how to solve it. She said they could make another but it would take 15 minutes. I had to suggest that she just bring me the pineapple. I scraped the jalapeño off, added the pineapple and ... After my mouth cooked off from that first bite..it was a very good burger. I think the server should have taken something of my bill or something. But nope. My friend had the pulled pork sandwich and said it was great, though also very spicy. Would definitely go again but hope my server is having a better day.

We arrived at Saul Good last night at 10pm after leaving another restaurant in town (because we hadn't been served after 2 hours!). The severs were awesome. They sat is immediately. Everyone was friendly. The place was lovely and lively. The food came quickly and was delicious. Our table ordered a little of everything. I had the goat cheese and beet salad. The homemade tarragon dressing is phenomenal. Others in our party had tuna fish tacos, veggie pizza, burger, and pulled pork sandwich. Everyone loved their meals. Thank you Saul for saving our night!

My boyfriend and I had tickets to a concert at the LOH across the street so we decided to go to Saul's. I've had their food numerous times at various events they've catered, but never at any of the restaurants. I had the French onion soup and Steak and Blu salad with Balsamic dressing. The soup was good, not great, and in rather a small bowl. The salad was a hearty size, served with a slice of their version of cornbread. The steak was cut into small pieces and somewhat overdone. There was not nearly enough blue cheese, and just a few slices of red onion. Decent, but not great. My boyfriend had the pork sandwich with fries and slaw and was relatively pleased with his selection. All in all, it's an OK place, and I'd likely return, but it isn't Saul "Great"!

Why 4 stars? Because they won me over. --- --- --- I really enjoyed my Bourbon BBQ Pork Sandwich here. This is definitely one of those reviews that's 4 stars now, but could definitely be upgraded to a 5 after another visit. The service was very prompt, and I really dug the vibe here. I don't know how to describe it, but it's the one where the servers are all wearing ties, but it still maintains a casual vibe. I'm not big on restaurants that you have to dress up for, but if the servers want to look super professional, I'm not going to complain. I'll be back.

Great for a date night with your guy or your girlfriends. Now with three different locations I can get my fix on any side of town. The beer cheese nachos are great and they have a nice beer selection. Dessert is a must; the fondue makes me want to go straight to the dessert menu and skip the entree. Chic decor & ambiance.

I came to Saul Goodman's w/ my PA buds after a killer trip to Cloud splitters mountain to climb and all that song and dance. I just asked them: "do you like this place?" And they said IDK yet but were thinking yes probably this place rules. Good martini! It was red and in a martini glass which is very fun to hold. It was my birthday and I asked for the bday discount and they checked my id! I told them I was 45 and it turns out I only look in my forties. I'm in my twenties and it wasn't even my birthday. No discount. Boo! Oh here comes my salad... Bye!

First time trying chicken and waffles...I am now officially a believer. But really this place was a solid experience all around, the lettuce wraps were a good choice too. This is a spot worth checking out in Lexington.

Drinks Only: I came here with some friends over the holiday break, and had a pretty ok time here. We had a really nice server, whose name I did not catch- but a young lady who was very sweet and not pushy at all. We came in at about 9, and stayed until about 11pm before venturing to the next bar. We had a few extra people join our party, and our server was pretty chill about it, and even splitting my check. I think I also may have been dinning in the North too much.. but I was pleased with the experience, even if for only a few drinks. It's a nice change of pace from the rest of downtown and 'beer lane' aka the pavilion and down to Hugo's and Mccarthy's area. Good place to start a night off.

Excellent service, really great food! Easy few blocks walk from the convention center/Rupp Arena. Great for sitting and watching the games on tv or for group dining and conversation. I ordered the steak nachos- so delicious and quite rich with the cheesy beer sauce. The overall experience was pleasant- I'll definitely go back next time I'm in Lexington!

Went to this restaurant after a race that was in town. Went with 8 people and they were able to seat us within 5 minutes of arriving. Hostess was very professional and courteous. Leigh, our server, was exceptional! She had perfect timing on our drinks, apps, and entrees. She even passed my "can I have my next beer with dinner test!" Food was real good but not exceptional. Service gave this restaurant a 5 star and a must try for anyone traveling to Lexington.

On a busy Friday night me and 12 of my friends met at the new Saul Good downtown for dinner. Several people split an appetizer of nachos as we waited for the rest of our group to get there. It was gone in minutes! I had the sangria with pear and it was perfect. I like sweet drinks and usually don't like wine, but this had just the perfect combination of fruit juice for me. I had the tuna salad sandwich and fries for my entrée. The tuna salad is on a flatbread and is a generous portion. I was hungry so I ate every bit of it along with the wonderfully seasoned fries. The fries really are great because instead of seasoning them with a mix of MSG like so many other restaurants, they use fresh seasonings. We ended up staying 2 and a half hours and didn't feel rushed out the door.

Went in for lunch about noon. Me being a vegetarian, I thought the menu looked a little light. I was feeling for pizza so I asked the bartender if the pizza toppings were set in stone and she kinda, sorta implied they were. Disappointing as the veggie option didn't look too appealing. Giving up, I was headed for the door when a very nice gray-haired man (manager? owner?) asked why I was leaving. He listened closely and informed me of many veggie entree choices not on the menu and that I could select any ingredients from the menu for my pizza. He even came over later to check on my satisfaction with my choice. The only reason I gave "Saul Good Restaurant & Pub" four stars instead of five was the food, actually. The pizza was very good, particularly the toppings (caramelized onions and spinach) and sauce (arrabiata) which were excellent. The crust was just good for my taste. Judging by the size of the lunchtime crowd the rest of their menu must be outstanding. Everything else about the place is five stars.

Wahh was really looking to trying this place on our weekend trip to lexington based on the hype and reviews. A few things, the ambiance is cool, but the music is just weird! You feel transported to a club circa 2004. I don't want to hear The Thong Song while eating my dinner. The weird stream of music distracts you from the food and your company. Our group tried several dishes and all were pretty mediocre. Sadly, it fell short of our expectations. On a good note, the wine is pretty cheap.

Thr chicken and waffles were amazing. The chicken wasn't some chicken tender it was a fried chicken breast which is great. The service was good, our server was very attentive and extremely helpful.

Great food, great service. We stopped in before the TSO concert at Rupp. All 4 of us had a great meal for a reasonable price. Mahi mahi was great with wasbi potatoes (awesome). Wife and daughter had the chicken co di vi and was the best roasted chicken they had in a long te. Out granddaughter had a bacon and cheddar chicken sandwich which was outstanding. Would recommend and will be back.

I stopped by this place while in town for a concert. It was recommended and I am glad I went. They have some great beers on tap from local breweries. We had the beer cheese Nachos as an appetizer and they were good. I had the Kentucky hot brown pizza which sounded more interesting than it was but it was definitely pretty good and was really too much for an individual. My friend had the salmon and he said that it was good. I would say this is a great place for non college kids to still have a great loud fun atmosphere but eat a bit better food.

All I can say is wow! I have frequented the other Saul Good locations in Lexington and I had been consistently disappointed. I keep trying it because I just want to like this place. When I saw the new Saul Good going in downtown, I was instantly excited. I figured what the heck, I'll give them a 6th shot to impress me. I went in during lunch for their soft opening and I was pretty impressed. The Tuna Salad Sandwich was amazing. Very light and fresh. The celery was a nice touch and the tomatoes had tons of flavor...and the pita...I could go on for hours about the pita. The fries were hot and had a very intense flavor. Loved it. Whatever the head chefs are doing wrong at the other locations, they are doing right here. Keep the quality up and I will be a customer for a long time to come!

Nice place for a romantic night out , its quiet and share the chocolate fountain with fresh fruit.I went in to treat myself to a late night dessert and found the staff to be very friend, and clean. I love the decor that was in this place, from the chandaliers to the open firepit for the pizzas. The chocolate fountain( really a fondue) was enough for 2 people to share. The menu ranged from sandwiches , pizzas, chicken & waffles. There was an open bar and seating inside or outside. My next visit will be to go and try the white chocolate cheesecake.

This was my first time at Saul Good and it was a pleasant one. Margaritas were 1/2 price and they were delicious. I had a tuna salad sandwich which was huge and flavorful! My boyfriend had fish tacos, which he was not impressed with, but he was comparing them to what he gets out on the east coast. Nothing in this area is going to come close to what you eat out there, right? We had the chocolate fondue for dessert. The chocolate could've been warmer, but the fruit/dipping selection was great. Service was outstanding and everyone was very friendly. The prices are great and the location is very easy to get to. I enjoyed it.

I had the blue cheese burger with fries. The burger was a little small but worth the price.(yummm!) The fries were deliciously seasoned and my boyfriend and I gobbled them up. He got the Southwest dip which was nothing special. after all these reviews I am looking forward to the chicken and waffles!

It's Saul right, everything seems to need more seasoning. Nothing is really bad, it's just Ok at best.

This is my favorite restaurant in Lexington! Had the seafood chowder (it was the soup of the day) it was the best soup I've ever had! I then split the chicken and waffles with my son. WOW! They were amazing and were large enough for us to share. My other son had a burger that he loved and my husband had a great breakfast dish with the best bacon he'd ever had. They have a great beer selection and the service was amazing! Couldn't ask for more! I go back to Saul Good every chance I get!

The food is good with some interesting beer choices. But they need to get those vibrating things that notify you when your table is ready. The girl with the shrill voice screaming out names really takes away from the experience. Otherwise, I love it!

Good beer selection. Wine selection was mediocre. I had the Saul Meat pizza and it was great. Almost ate the whole thing by myself! My partner had the blue cheese burger and he said that it was one of the best that he has ever had, which is saying something since he has them everywhere we go! We would definitely eat here again!

This is a great place! We were seated by the open kitchen- it was like watching the end of the show... when Chef Ramsey has changed the crappy restaurant and the place is perfectly humming along. Wait staff was moving so fast all over, manager was moving orders out of the kitchen area like crazy. We had the rosemary chicken pizza- very good! We had the warm Nutella cake in a cup- super great. Took the chocolate covered popcorn to go- eating it now. We noticed when we left that people were stacked up waiting for tables and as soon as we left our table- 4 wait staff swarmed our table immediately cleaning it to bring more patrons in. We are visiting from out of state- so disappointed we don't have these where I'm from

I'm one picky guy. That said not many things on menus I would call me. But, I keep going back as I like the place. Service is what it should be and price is more then fair. The fish taco's are good, and I have had the pork burger. Both I would have again. But main reason for this write up... On my latest trip I braved up and tried the fish special. Maui Maui with wasabi mashed potatoes and it was something I said after 1st taste I would for sure be back for. Also means I will from this point try the other fish special too.

The minute I walked into Saul Good, the delicious food smells confirmed my choice of dinner spot. Lucky for us, it was Restaurant Week in Lexington, so we got to try 4 course meal at a special prices. Drink, wine and beer menu made it easy to select a local brew. Entrees at our table were coq au vin, grilled pork chop and salmon. My lettuce wraps, fresh garden salad, grilled salmon and dessert of chocolate popcorn were fantastic. Other 3 dinners at our table were just as good. Tried something new: marshmallow ketchup to go with sweet potato fries. Our only complaint was too much food! Excellent service, nice decor, and a restaurant that cares about their food. Thanks, Saul Good, for a nice dining experience.

We stopped in after church for brunch and were delighted with the entire experience. My husband's Big Breakfast was just the right size and delicious with eggs and waffles. My portebello sandwich was the best I've ever had with the mushroom full of flavor and a melt in your mouth bun. The accompanying slaw was light and fresh. The coffee was full-bodied and hot! The waitress could not have been more service-oriented and pleasant. The ambience was polished yet comfortable and we enjoyed sitting by the window on Broadway. Prices are quite reasonable. We'll be back soon!.

Our son took us here for dinner on a Friday night. The wait was not long. We had their gourmet pizzas. They were so good. The prices were reasonable and the service great. We got the chocolate popcorn for dessert. The portion was huge and the 3 of us shared it. It is addicting. We would definitely go here again.
