Always good! I always order the Enchiladas Supremas ( subbing the bean for another cheese )...red sauce & cheese only. SOOOOO GOOD! Always too much food so we always end up taking some home for later. Their Panchitos are awesome too as an appetizers.

The food here is pretty good, although somewhat Americanized. Service is another thing; surly and rushed. The man who seated us on the patio basically dropped the menus on a table and walked away. Our waitress didn't crack a smile, although she was efficient -- in an officious sort of way. When we were done, I asked for my leftovers to go and she completely ignored me and threw them out. Too bad, they were going to be lunch. We'd go back for the food, guard any leftovers, and hope they've had a complete staff turnover.

Let me start off by saying, I love the Mi Mexico off Winchester Road. Prompt service, flavorful food and friendly staff. We saw this one while coming from I-75 and decided to stop. We were seated promptly by one of the most unfriendliest hostesses I have ever met. She attempts to put a family of five in a booth that fits four. We had to ask for a chair so one of us could sit at the end of the table. Chips and salsa arrived immediately; I asked for a second set since not all of us could reach the bowls. It arrived with our drinks and they took over 10 minutes to get ordered and another five to be delivered. We waited another fifteen minutes for our orders to be taken. I ordered queso dip to accompany the chips and salsa. It never arrived and was included on our bill. One order arrived and it was incorrect. She promptly went to replace it. No, sorry. No it will be a few moments, nothing. She seemed annoyed that she had to go locate what I ordered. Did I mention our waiter wrote our order on a napkin (no joke). Drink refills were sparse. No chip refills. After eating we were not able to sit and relax for a few moments because we had no drink remaining. The waiter brought us our check and after the removal of items we ordered but never received, we left. Were they busy, yes. It's a Friday night in Lexington, duh. To receive such poorly service from start to finish is pathetic. If you dislike your job, get out of the service industry.

Average food/poor service. We were seated outside. After waiting 15 minutes, one of us went inside to let the wait staff know we were still waiting to order drinks, get chips n salsa, etc... The wait staff was overtly bitchy and semi-rude throughout the meal. They seemed annoyed to have us there. I thought the green and red salsas were good. Entrees were just ok. I had chicken enchiladas. An entertaining moment occurred when one of the waiters was clearing one of the other tables. He was literally throwing the drinks in the bushes outside the patio, with a lot of anger! It was really weird. Seemed like he was having a meltdown.

I've been eating at this location for years now. I do enjoy the beans and rice. I recently tried the shrimp enchiladas, and they were the first thing I've had in a while that really perked up my taste buds. Other than that, most of the food somewhat tastes the same. I do enjoy their salsa. Another thing, I eat...A LOT, so some items I feel are over priced. As for service, it's hit or miss. My husband and I had a very colorful waiter one time and he was GREAT, but there is a girl there that doesn't have any personality at all, and she has been there for years. Sometimes when I go in to get To-Go orders, the lady almost seems annoyed and frustrated, which in the end has made me avoid going there.

The food and service is adequate, nothing special though. They do have quick ticket times if you are doing a business lunch. The decor is ghastly, you feel like your eating in a fun house.

Loved it, everything was very good, even the fried ice cream.

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
