Always friendly and very quick. Only takes around 10 mins for food. Good prices as well

The location is great. The decor is a little off. The screen right as you walk in feels very Asian with the wall colors. The entry is open, widely accommodating traffics without feeling squished up. Once you get to looking around it feels more Mexican for the decor. Food was good. Not great. My steak fajita was over cooked, chewy, and sadly devoid of great flavor. To the point I would have sent the chef a message about it, only didn't pass the opinion along because my sinsues were stuffy so perhaps it was simply me who couldn't taste. Taste aside the steak was over cooked. Rice, beans, and pico were good. Guac was well seasoned. Service was prompt and polite. Restrooms nice. Whole place very clean. Margarita was good. Hopefully the food improves.

The Jalapeños on New Circle Rd is my favorite lunch spot, so I waited for the newness of this location to wear off before I tried it. When I heard that this location was going in, I thought that it would replace the NCR location, but all three locations are open. The NCR location is in much need of renovation or a complete rebuild. Anyways, back to this location... yes, it is weird because the walls are red and it does have an Asian feel to it. The menu and pricing are identical to the other locations though. I recognized some of the wait staff from the other locations. The service was ok, there were a few miscommunications though. I ordered a water and he brought me out a Michelob Ultra. When I told him I'd only ordered a water, he acted as though I was joking and was a bit "off" towards me the entire meal. The food was a bit stingy. For instance, no lettuce came with the fajitas. When I asked about the lettuce, the waiter said something about his boss. But he brought us out a side of lettuce, something that always comes with that entree at the other location. The side of beans and rice were smaller and the portion of pepper and onions were less than they were at the other location. The chips and salsa were just as they always are, excellent and plentiful, so that gained an extra star back from the 3 stars and I was going to rate. You can probably guess, I'll stick with THE OTHER LOCATIONS.

This location leaves much to be desired and is not on-par with the South Broadway or New Circle Road locations. That said, I was there the first month of this particular location being open, so it is entirely possible that they were working out some kinks. The food was not very good or flavorful and the portions seemed somewhat smallish. The decor of this location was off, too. I'm guessing that the space was previously occupied by an Asian restaurant because the decor definitely had an Asian vibe, not the vibrant colors found in many Mexican joints. I'll give it another shot I'm sure, but based solely on this visit, I can think of a half dozen other Mexican restaurants within a five mile radius that I would choose first.

This was a new place. The service was great and so was the food. I will definitely go back to this location.

We have not been to the other locations and this one was so disappointing that I'm not sure I want to take any chances. This restaurant has a strange layout, looks like the Asian restaurant than was previously here, and is very loud. On the night we were there, a bluegrass/country band was playing. So odd. Our food was just okay - we ordered a queso appetizer that was cold and stringy when it arrived - and my chicken entree was supposed to be covered with queso but was covered with more of this melted, then hardened cheese. It was a disappointing experience because it is near our house - but I'll have to keep looking for my favorite Mexican restaurant.

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
