Stayed a night with my mom and she LOVED it. Inside pool, great location, comfie beds, It was a large elegant Hilton. looked like it was pretty new or at least well maintained, close to restaurants and shops, One of the best hotel buffet breakfasts I've ever had. We asked for a room high up and quiet. We stayed on the 1529 .. high up enough the street sounds not a problem and far form the elevator and ice machine. My husband is a diamond rewards so they upgraded us and gave us both free breakfast vouchers. Which I gather was worth 35 dollars. I highly recommend this hotel if you are staying in Lexington. My only complaints with our stay was the hotel room didn't get cool enough .. it was set at 60 but it sooo wasn't cool in there so that was uncomfortable, the bathroom was very small and no fan. I feel this is a safe area .. great location if your in town. Will consider it for girl getaways.

Tiny, TINY bathroom. Water pressure isn't the best. Neither is the wifi signal (I'm on the 13th) Great downtown location, walking distance to shops, restaurants, convention center, opera house.. Etc. In hotel martini bar has happy hour 4-6 during the week.. And restaurant food is not too shabby. Comfy beds- though the room smelled a little musty. :(

I thought this was a great location in Lexington. Staff was accommodating and the rooms were comfortable and clean. No complaints!

The room itself was fine. The sleep number beds were great. The service, however, was terrible and the parking was a nightmare. We were told when we checked in that we wouldn't be charged until we checked out and that at that time we could pay with cash. We were charged before we even woke up that morning and told there was nothing they could do about it. If you're going during the Polar Vortex splurge for the valet parking otherwise you'll freeze to death trying to figure out where the elevators/stairs are in the parking garage. It's unfortunate that this is only 1 of 2 hotels in the immediate downtown area and you don't have much of a choice if you want to be close to Rupp.

The hubs and I had a pleasant stay in downtown Lexington for an overnight trip. We selected this hotel based on proximity. The Hilton is located downtown, just across the street from Rupp Arena and some fabulous Lexington dining options. We arrived at check-in and the complimentary valet parked our car in the garage. It is odd because there isn't one of those traditional cute semi-circle places to pull up and unload but rather you kind of just dump everything out at the entrance of a parking garage. Not classy. And there wasn't even a bell-hop offer. Boo! The hotel does not offer complimentary WiFi but we were able to acquire an AT&T HotSpot network from our room. So check that out before you enroll in the internet scheme. The hotel is quite large and martini bar in the lobby is popping in the evening. Our room was very clean. Overall our stay was pleasant and I'd highly recommend checking in here next time you are in Lexington.

Nice hotel, attended a small conference meeting. The rooms are nice, parking is included in the downtown hotel which is unheard of in the big city. Nice gym to work out. I must concur with the many other complaints, the Internet was bad, and they do charge for it. It's not the only place I have to pay for Internet, but you expect good Internet when charged. This is my only complaint with the hotel.

In this day and age, no American hotel should be charging for internet. The interwebs are cheap, ubiquitous, and essential; charging exorbitantly for them is enough for me to knock this place down to two stars (which I interpret as, "I wouldn't come here again, but I'm not going to try to get my money back"). Aside from that, hotel seems pretty good. I got lucky with a good rate since I was here on business, but if I'd paid regular price I would've felt like I'd gotten shafted. Room was clean and the amenities were good with the exception of said Internet...but I feel like that should be standard at a Hilton.

Properties like this are the reason I typically avoid Hilton branded hotels. If you want to stay in downtown Lexington, you basically get your choice of the Hilton or the Hyatt. I attended a wedding and they got a block of rooms here. Next time I'm in Lexington I'll spring for the Hyatt across the street. This isn't the worst hotel in the world, but it certainly isn't spectacular either. Hallways are tired and worn. Guest rooms beat up from years of use. I probably would have given this 3-stars, except that on the last day, housekeeping knocked on my door multiple times to see if I was gone yet. I'm sorry, but I paid for the room until noon. I don't appreciate being rushed out. At check-out I mentioned this to the agent. She didn't care, made excuses about it being a "business" hotel where most guests check out early. OK, except that this was Sunday and we clearly were not business customers. Won't be returning.

What kind of hotel doesn't have fridges in their hotel rooms!!?!??!?!?!? Well this one doesn't in ANY of their rooms! And if u want one brought to u, u gotta pay $15! What a rip off and just ridiculous! Other than not having mini-fridges, I guess this hotel is okay. Free parking in the garage.

I have read the mixed reviews and I can tell you my stay was just fine... The valet was quick to park my car and it was $14 bucks (that is cheap where I'm from). Call ahead to pick your car up in the morning. The front desk was efficient and nice. They gave me a few walkable ideas for dinner. The location is central to many restaurants and bars. Pretty view from the hotel of the fountains. My room was clean, the bathroom was clean. I never use a hotel Internet because I'm too damn lazy to deal with my expenses. I use my hot spot... So I can't tell you what they charge? Like I said it was just fine...

Stayed one night. The front desk staff were helpful, the room was clean and either the rooms are well-insulated or there were so few people around us we couldn't hear them. Ordered room service for breakfast. It was there within the stated 15 minutes timeframe. Waitstaff was courteous and personable with me. The scrambled eggs didn't taste the best but were okay. The rest of the meal was fine.

Good personal service , the facility to clean. The only reason I have it 4 stars is do to it's age and lack of amenities. It's a older building, they are doing the best with what they have.

I have fond memories here as my school frequently used it for the winter writing conference. Even though I lived in Richmond at the time, I always chose to stay in the hotel. The staff is friendly, and the hotel is kept pretty clean. I recommend this to anyone.

To preface this review, I am reviewing this as a business traveler, so I'm more focused on services that are used during a business trip. This hotel has a few things going for it. It's clean, has a great location downtown and the rooms are pretty big.A big plus is free valet parking, which is nice in the winter. A few things that can improve: Wifi = Paid. I get it free through company rate, but even then, it's still too slow. If you are going to charge for internet, better be useful! Executive lounge. The breakfast is pretty weak. The oatmeal is not too great and they only have eggs (no bacon, sausage, etc...). It's ok for a quick breakfast, but it doesn't help that the few things they have aren't really good. I usually get some fresh fruit (they have 1 little bowl). Gym. Small, not much going on. What really kills me, they close at 11pm. Why do morning people always get the priority, some of us are night owls!

Pretty nice place. Nice atrium from floors 1-5. However no breakfast area or in room refrigerators.

Let's be realistic. Very nice hotel, updated, nice medium sized pool, whirpool, large fitness center with over 12 machines, comfortable, quiet, convenient, good breakfast buffet for $15 or $11 or free for Hhonors gold. All Hiltons charge for wifi in rooms yet free is easily available here on att. They guaranteed I'd find parking even when the arena was full and I did. Valet is only $6 more than self park if you wish. Yes parking garage is a bit old-school but our 12 yr old found the elevatot quickly so you can, too. Yes, if there is an event the prices are higher yet far less than an average room on SF or NY. So it is more than I paid last te in this town but more convenient amd many more amenities. Of course, I do hope I can get a deal next time but that's life

*I should say first of all I'm a diamond member that stay in a lot of Hilton properties in a year and my wife and I were upgraded to an executive floor.* Stayed here for a wedding and had a good time. Although we were traveling for pleasure, I would have been very happy to be staying here on business. The 16th floor has 2 computers for the use of the executive floor, with printers, and a very nice sitting area where you can read or have drinks. I didn't get to visit the lounge itself during happy hour, but I did go up the next morning and it looked very nice. The location downtown was great. We drove, but didn't use the garage so I can't speak to that. Street parking on the weekend (mid afternoon) was plentiful if you don't want to valet in Hilton's garage. There is a nice park directly across the street and you can walk to all kinds of interesting food and drinks. Breakfast at the Triangle was a very nice buffet (buffet+ I would say given the choice of hot/cold items as well as the omelet station). My only negative impression was that the lobby is weird. The side door is the front door, the desk isn't really in view when you walk in, the valet stand is like a guard station, there is a ton of dead space....but, who goes to the hotels for the lobbies anyway.

I used to stay at the Hilton all the time when I didn't live here. The staff is super helpful especially Seth at the bellhop stand.

The Hilton was where we had a group rate for our wedding. We had dozens of rooms blocked out, and chose this hotel over the Hyatt for 2 reasons (they both had location going for them): 1. Rooms were about $10 cheaper. 2.) They said there were hotel shuttles available for our use A couple of points about this hotel: - After we checked in, they said one of the shuttles was broken down and we couldn't have use os them anymore. It was also Keeneland and prom weekend, so we ended up with no transportation for our guests. - A majority of the staff were very rude and unwelcoming. We felt like every request was an inconvenience. The staff at the Big Blue Martini were the worst offenders, even though we had large groups that tipped a ton and spent a lot of money. - One of our guests checked into their room, and found waste in the toilet and a dead bug in their bed. Those are pretty big things to miss when cleaning a room, so it makes you wonder what else was overlooked. - My husband and I had a suite and I told her when I booked it I wanted to pay the extra for the room since we had 127 people coming in from out of town and wanted to be able to have them in our room. The first night, (around 10pm, when we were not being loud at all), security came to our room and told us that because of how the vent system is set up, every noise we made could be heard loudly a couple of floors up. And that if we didn't make our 2 guests leave we would be evicted from the hotel. Since that was the first night, we couldn't visit with anyone for the rest of the 4 night trip in our room, which was the only reason we paid for it. - When the room was cleaned daily, they did not replace the toilet paper or tissues once. We had to call the front desk and specially request both. - While out one day with a large group of people (impossible to run back to the hotel), I called the front desk to see if someone could let my friend into the room so she could bring something I forgot. They refused. They also refused to give my husband a replacement key when he locked his in the room, even though we have the same last name. I booked the room and didn't even think to include his name on it since we had such a large block of rooms under both of our names. Super disappointing stay and I wish we had paid the extra to stay at the Hyatt. Definitely never coming back here.

I went here for a wedding on 1-1-2011. I We stayed here the weekend and it was a damn good time. New Years Eve was pretty freakin awesome. The bar on the first floor, I think it was called the BLUE bar maybe, anyways, the bar tender made an amazing dirty martini! The rooms were pretty nice and always very clean. The beds were the sleep number beds. I could not figure those damn things out. I tried one night in like the 80s and the next night i had it in the teens. Both nights were miserable! Apparently I needed it in the 50s. The bathrooms was an odd layout. It was the typical hotel bathroom, but you had to straddle the toilet in order to open and close the door. Overall, damn good time!

The room was nice, just as you expect any Hilton to be. However the service is very disappointed. Traveling alot and staying exclusively with Hilton brand hotels this was very surprising. I had booked this place months ago knowing i was going to a meeting at the Lexington center across the street and decided to stay here over the hyatt even though it was cheaper. So i Pre-Paid for the nights i had to stay and had to leave a day early. So i called down to the front desk and let them know i was leaving early. I was shock to find out i was going to get charged $30 early check out fee?? I couldn't believe it. I paid for the room ahead of time and they wanted to charge me and im sure the lady knew this and only allowed me to stay in my room till 1pm. My flight was at 6pm out of Lexington. I later found out there was a game that night and sold the room again by kicking me out early. I'm very disappointed by them not giving respect to a valued gold level customer. They are more about making money then anything else.

The hotel facilities are very nice and the staff has been quite professional. If you need a hotel, go ahead and give this place a shot. However, I'm staying here on business, paying $40/5-days for internet access and it is barely usable. Sorry to ding you guys for crappy service from the internet provider iBAHN ( ibahn.com ), but "High-Speed Internet" this is not. I can barely do any work here, forcing me to resort to the faster 3G connection on my blackberry. Unacceptable.

We were here for an extended weekend for a wedding and the Hilton Downtown Lexington was the perfect home base and location for our family gathering and celebration. We ate multiple times at the restaurant and enjoyed the bar nearly every evening (into the late evening most nights). The staff was prompt and thorough all around, with that famous southern hospitality in excess. The banquet hall was roomy, clean, and classy. A great space with excellent service for the wedding. Our rooms were clean, modern, and new enough that I was impressed, especially since I'm used to hotels in Chicago, New York, or San Francisco. The Hilton Lexington Downtown certainly held her own. I'd recommend in a heartbeat or stay there again if I'm ever again in town. Location was excellent too- for getting around town, visiting the shops and restaurants nearby, no need to drive!

Bad experience from reservation malfunctions to lukewarm showers. Forty dollar per day extra charged just for using a debit mastercard. Apathetic Hilton staff could learn a few lessons in customer service from the parking garage staff.

It is a Hilton, I expected better. My bathroom was not cleaned thoroughly and the housekeepers did not refresh the provided toiletries; it was very obvious someone previously used them. Gross.

Another place that gets five stars because of my cousin's wedding -- the reception was held here. It was great, the food was good, the best being the risotto and the mashed potatoes (hey, I told you several reviews ago that mashed potatoes were 'sacred' in my family.) There was a cash bar, but there was free wine (until they ran out) and I am glad to report that I was able to get the last glass at each of the bars. There was a dance floor set up and the DJ had an awesome selection. When I left at midnight, the party was still going on (hey, I had a 6 yr old nephew so I had to go when the 'majority' ruled). I was impressed that they hadn't asked the DJ to lower the volume, but hey you only get married once (at least that is what you hope at the time of the ceremony.) I know that the staff at the Radisson has taken very good care of my cousin and his bride -- I thank them for that.

An average hotel. What really bugged was the Sleep Number beds in the room. You can set the bed as high as 100 (as hard as a rock) to 0 (deflated air mattress). Good luck with that. I was ready to call the front desk and ask for a crib. I'm sure that would have been more cozy and comfortable. The front desk staff was very friendly.

Room was very clean and we had a nice view of downtown. Beds were comfy and internet was very fast. Didn't have a fridge in the room so we brought a cooler and got ice from their ice machine. Had to pay $8 to park in the parking garage for the hotel which they add onto your bill. It was expensive BUT you were within walking distance to Rupp Arena and MANY different bars and restaurants. We will definitely stay here again!

Dreadfully slow Internet. What's the point of paying for a business hotel if you can't do any business while you are there? Oh, and they charge extra for that slow, slow Internet. Guys, it's not 2010 anymore.

I'm not sure why this hotel has such terrible reviews- I liked it. Came here for a wedding and this was the hotel booked for guests. It's well-located in the middle of the city. Parking is a little difficult unless you valet. It's big and the service was acceptable. The most exciting thing about it was the fact that our room had a Sleep Number bed! Not sure which rooms have these beds, didn't seem like this was common throughout the whole hotel. But it was so comfortable, we slept like babies. Never slept so well in a hotel before. This was a very pleasant and comfortable stay!

I expected a lot better from The Hilton. The hotel was clean and well maintained. The bar and the staff was terrific. The disappointment was the so called executive breakfast on the 17th floor. SHAME ON YOU! Your Lowest priced "Hampster Inn" has a ten times better free breakfast. I actually went downstairs and bought my own breakfast. Everything else was at the least very good.
