1st timer. I would give 4.5 stars if I could. It was too quaint to be 4 stars but the food was not exactly 5 stars. I ordered breakfast burrito and it was good (not great) the omelet looked really good and so did the special. The scrambled eggs did not look like real eggs, pancakes were perfect (but plain), fruit was fresh. I would definitely go back. Pros: location seems secluded (intimate), decor was very quaint, food was good, clean bathrooms, breakfast for lunch, fresh fruit, really nice service Cons: not much to the menu, limited seating, I think eggs were from a carton (not confirmed)

My husband took me here for brunch recently. I got the Belgian Waffles, and he got an omelet plate with cheese grits. I'm always disappointed in Belgian Waffles here in the States. The ones I've had in Korea have almost a caramelized outside that's crunchy and a fluffy inside. But these were alright! Let's talk about their grits. The best grits I've ever tried! So creamy and smooth! So flavorful! Whenever you visit, get them, please. Even if you don't like grits! I like this place. It's one of the closer brunch places to where we live, and that's fine with me! It's quaint, has good food, and friendly service!

This place is so cute and adorable. They serve breakfast and lunch. The good: seriously, this place is charming. The coffee was really good. The ok: the food was standard American fare. Nothing exciting. When I say nothing exciting I mean nothing. I ordered the chicken breakfast tacos with pub fries. The bad: when I asked what pub fries were, they told me fried potatoes with no seasoning. No seasoning, no salt. No nothing. It seems that most of the food lacked seasoning.

OMG... Awesome! Rated this place for exactly what it is... A perfect coffee and lunch place! The chicken salad sandwich was perfect derby style chicken salad! I asked about the cheese grits and my server gave me a sample! Definitely on my must get list! Excellent service!

Came here on a Sunday morning, a little after 10am. We were seated in about 5minutes and placed our order just a few minutes after that. Got our drinks within 2min of ordering. Our food arrived 14 minutes later. The food is excellent. here's what you need to know. Inside, this place only seats 44 people (assuming all tables are full, i counted seats). If you come here on a weekend morning, it's busy and you'll have to wait. in my experience, the earlier you arrive, the better. Sundays get busy a little later because i think people are at church. So that's a good time to come, if you're heathens like us. Otherwise, you'll probably have to wait but they do offer coffee on the porch while you wait. My favorite is the Breakfast Burrito. The OJ is fresh-squeezed and I love they offer flavored creamers for your coffee.

Just OK breakfast food. Need more seasoning added to the potatoes and food in general. Wasn't horrible but wasn't great either. Good if you don't feel like cooking in the morning.

I've been coming to Coffee Pub ever since my senior year in Highschool. It is a great breakfast/brunch restaurant in Lexington! Their Potato and Chicken salad are divine! It is a quaint place that you should try!

One of my favorite brunch spots in town! It has a definite KY atmoshpere and is a wonderful spot to bring out of town guests. I would recommend the 2-2-2 which has 2 eggs any style, 2 pancakes, and 2 pieces of bacon or sausage. It is a tasty breakfast that provides a great start to any morning/afternoon. The dining area is on the smaller side, so there is typically a bit of a wait on the weekends. It is well worth it though!!

Great service with a warm atmosphere! The food and coffee is A-MAZ-ING! A hidden little treasure close to home and away from chains!!

This quaint breakfast pub is adorable and I was excited to finally have a chance to eat here. I was, however, disappointed. First , the menu stated freshly squeezed orange juice. It was not. I then ordered sweet tea , only to take a huge gulp to discover it had no sugar at all. Then my eggs, bacon and pancakes arrived(The 2-2-2 deal). The scrambled eggs were cold , not even a hint of warmth. Same with the bacon. The pancakes did have a little warmth, but not enough to melt any butter. The pancakes did not taste homemade , but then again, they were not advertised as homemade. It was generic syrup . I could have, and should have, saved money and gone to a fast food chain that serves breakfast. For such an eye catcher pub,it was just eye candy. I had high hopes for a cozy, warm and fulfilling breakfast . Did I complain ? No... By the time the waitress resurfaced, I was ready to leave and be done with it. I may return to try it one more time, but it won't be any time soon .

I consider this place a hidden gem in Lexington. It's a quaint little restaurant that's tucked away off Harrodsburg Rd. that has consistently great food and great service. I have only been eating here for years but always on the weekends and Saturdays and Sundays they serve only breakfast (open til 2pm). I love the Chicken Soft Tacos with a side of cheese grits. Their grits are super creamy and delicious!

First visit for Sunday brunch. The bourbon bun was great and the cheesy grits fantastic. We will be back!

The location is pretty good. I love the style and the decor. However, the food is just "ok." Me and my wife usually try to eat at a different breakfast establishment every weekend. This was our first experience at the Coffee Pub and was nuetral on the fact that it was a "must": visit in Lexington. The customer service is great, but they can inprove the food.

Good food, slow service. Got food 30+ minutes after ordering. Food was tasty, but nothing to get too excited about.

Decor is country kitsch in this tiny coffee house/restaurant. On my first visit, the food quality was extremely average. My ham and cheddar omelet was small, overcooked and dried out. The cheddar was tasteless. The potatoes seemed like the frozen variety you could buy at the grocery store. Total bill for the omelet and OJ was $13 ($15 with tip). It was maybe worth half that.

Excellent!!! Went for breakfast while passing through on a cross country trip. Easy to get to. Friendly service. Great food that was not expensive. Loved the grits! Highly recommend!

Wonderful atmosphere and great food...they may not want me to share this as the decor and clientele seem first class but it was even kid friendly. Will be back over and over!!

We went here for Sunday breakfast last weekend - we arrived just before a big rush (9am-ish). Not sure what other mornings are like, but the tables were filled after 9, though there didn't seem to be much of a wait. The outside tables also filled quickly as it was a nice fall morning. The staff was very friendly and the food was great - the portions were a decent size but not too big. Though they have all the staples of a diner, there were a few signature items that I was looking forward to trying - one was the cinnamon bun that had homemade bourbon icing. I'm not a huge fan of bourbon, much less on Sunday morning, but I didn't want to pass up the opportunity. It was excellent - I wholeheartedly recommend it - and though I wish it had been a bigger bun, it's probably good that it wasn't. My coffee cup never got below half before one of several waitresses came by to check on it, and the scrambled eggs were cooked just right. Can't speak for the other meals they serve, but breakfast is tasty and not too expensive.

I love that here is another one if the few places in town where you can sit outside for breakfast. We had excellent service and the OJ was fresh squeezed. Our food was very good. I would have loved to have seen eggs Benedict on the menu.

Good food and the service is finally improving. I love the atmosphere so I'll make do. I suggest their Giacomo dish for breakfast. It's a good size and tasty meal.

The restaurant itself is lovely, with plenty of seating in a cute stone cottage with wood floors, horse/KY/general store decor, and chairs with the logo carved in. I was really excited for a brunch option near my house (Lexington has too few brunch options as it is!), but having gone twice, I can't say I have much of an impression about the food. Chicken soft tacos were boring, with largely flavorless, slightly dry chicken, eggs were fine, flour tortillas were boring, salsa was a mild saving grace (in that it had flavor. that's it). My sandwich the previous time was also boring. Just because it has a fresh piece of lettuce and tomato (and some kind of completely forgettable cheese) on whole grain bread doesn't make it anything special. My companions' meals were also fine, but forgettable. Service is cheery, bright, and energetic, matching the atmosphere and making the whole experience better. Now if only they had delicious food....

Went to breakfast this morning, and had such a great experience I wanted to come home and post a review. We arrived just after 9:30am, and were lucky to find one open table inside. All the tables outside were empty, but by time we left, they were full as well. It has a quaint and comfy feel as soon as you walk in. The staff was friendly from the moment we arrived, until we were walking out the door when they thanked us for coming in. I ordered the breakfast burrito, which I found to be delicious! I enjoyed the refried beans, along with plenty of cilantro for extra flavor. I would definitely order the burrito again! It came with a side of either potatoes or grits. I went for the potatoes, and they were ok. I was a little disappointed that they were not made from fresh potatoes, and instead were from a frozen bag, but they tasted fine for what they were. Next time I will be sure to try the grits. My husband ordered the special which was 3 pumpkin pancakes, and your choice of sausage or bacon. The pancakes were to die for. A nice welcome to Fall. He also said that the sausage was very good. The only reason I gave 4 stars instead of 5 was for the potatoes. I feel that if you are known for being a breakfast establishment, you should really serve the finest breakfast foods, and I really missed the homemade home fries! All in all, we will definitely be back, and really enjoyed our experience at the Coffee Pub.

Went for a Saturday morning breakfast per a friend's recommendation and I was pleased. I ordered the War Admiral (scrambled eggs mixed with meats and veggies w/ a side of toast). The building looks like it was ripped out of a storybook and is a neat setting for breakfast. Space is available both inside and out for your meal. Orange juice is far to pricey for the amount provided, which my friend found out. But overall, I liked the setting and meal.
