I am not a fan of Chinese food. That being said, I love Kings Buffet. The broccoli chicken is really good, and I even liked the pork dish (I normally don't care for pork). The service is good, and the prices are great! My fortune cookie was even relevant to my life! So, if you are looking for Chinese in Eastern Kentucky, the King's Buffet is the place to go. It satisfies your most pickiest eaters and provides the customer with an all-Chinese experience!

I love Chinese food, and I also love China King Buffet. Like any other Chinese restaurant, there was a wide variety of food on the menu. I loved their sesame chicken. It was sweet and complemented their rice really well. I also enjoyed their shrimp and the sushi was awesome. Their also had a wide variety of deserts to chose from. The prices was very affordable, 6 bucks for a buffet is pretty good for college students! The service was fast and the waiters were pleasant. I would definitely go back to this place anytime. I highly recommend it.

Wow... Took some friends here today and they were packed! Should have realized it was the Sunday Church Crowd. It only took about 10 minutes when we asked for a table, though. The quantity of wasn't excessive, but their quality was wonderful! The server had a very flat affect. She wasn't friendly at all, but cleaning out used dishes and filing drinks was efficient. The place is fairly small. Only around 50 seats and one isle to go down towards the buffet tables. One of the smaller Chinese buffets I've ever been to. Very clean. The food was great. Good variety and everything I enjoyed about a Chinese Buffet. The food was hot and fresh. It was definitely not sitting there for long. They didn't fill their buffet trays, but had continual refills on their items. This kept it hot and you can tell it wasn't just sitting there for hours. I'm definitely glad our friends recommended this place. For the four of us and one child with drinks, we got out for $60 including tax & tip.

I agree with Sai Aung L., Cohort 8, EPG candidate in Berea College. The food was amazingly cooked. Neat place to seat, perfectly arranged chairs, friendly waitresses and fabulous customer service are some among the many qualities of this place in Hazard, KY. This place serves a buffet and refill soda, water and various kinds of teas. The customer service anyone would receive at this place is super. Because of the variety of food, great location and fast waitresses I would definitely go to this place again. One thing that stood out for me was the chinese rice. It was mouth watering, delicious and well cooked. The cabbage was not over cooked, which is perfect. Thus, I enjoyed my dinner in Hazard. I do recommend you to pay them a visit anytime you stop by Hazard, KY. Luwam Okbazion

Great Vegetarian Selection Fried Rice wasn't greasy, but still very flavorful. The crab rangoon was more cream-cheese than crab, but the sweet cakes were amazing. Above all- the Lo Mein was some of the best I've ever had- it's all very reasonably priced and super-duper delicious! If you're in the area- go nowhere else for Chinese!

For someone who usually hasn't eaten a lot of asian food I really enjoyed this restaurant. As a buffet, service wasn't an issue of course, and the food was really good me thinks. Mmm mm.

This restaurant is exactly what the name says: a Chinese buffet. Don't expect anything more than the typical Chinese take out you can get from any plaza located in America. The food was decent, there were lots of options; two soups, white rice, fried rice, fried anything, dessert bar, noodles, vegetables and meat covered in lots of different oily sauces, egg rolls, top it off with some bland sushi rolls and fruit that may be a week or so fresh and you got it. Its not terrible but its not my first choice.

This restaurant seemed very average to me for a Chinese restaurant. Their was no unique koi-fish pond at the front entrance, or even a small garden giving of the whole 'Feng Shui' vibe. All they had was a small 25cent gum machine when you first walk in. However, I attended the restaurant with a group of 20 people and the seating area was satisfactory. The food was good and had a decent variety of choices. Though, when the items run out they are a bit slow about refilling the 'chow line.' Other than that I enjoyed my time.

I've been to the China King two times now. The first time the food was stellar, hot, and ready. The second time, not so much. The food has great flavor, but the service is mediocre. The server bought me the wrong drink and eventually corrected the beverage issue.

Chinese Cuisine

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.

Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.

There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.
