Disclaimer: this experience takes the prize of my worst restaurant experience ever, and I've had a lot of bad ones. Yes, this is the huge newer location. I confirmed that I am posting toward the correct one. When we first sat down, to make a long story short, service was slow. Not a huge deal at that point because although they weren't busy inside (which is where we sat) the patio area was packed. I ordered "fish tacoS" from the seafood menu, the ala carte menu didn't include or list any seafood tacos, so I assumed that wasn't offered ala carte. When my fish tacoS was brought out, it was one, that had a thin slice of fish that didn't reach across the tortilla, lettuce and shredded cheese and was very underwhelming. Even the smallest, inexpensive local taquerias throw in a lime and cilantro. Here is where it gets even more complicated; my husband who tens of times had been to the older Mi Castita across the street and not even a mile down the road, always gets the carna asada meal. This time they brought out in three flour tortillas, with just chicken and the soggy tortillas, beans and rice on the side. After tasting two bites, my husband politely asked the waitress if he could just have fresh corn tortillas, she rudely informed him that he would have to pay extra for the tortillas. He politely handed her the plate with two bites taken from it and said, "well, if you're going to serve soggy tortillas then I don't want the meal at all". Not only did he address the issue with a solution, not even as a complaint. Honestly, I myself would've eaten it, sogginess and all... just like I ate the sucky fish taco. But in actuality the one in the wrong was the waitress and then it turned into four other employees making a scene over it. From what he tells me is that the many times that he has ordered the same meal from their other location, it comes with corn torillias, so they're not soggy after they add the chicken. Ten minutes later, I approached the cashiers stand, half way wondering if they were going to offer him a menu and half way wondering if I should ask for the check, I asked for the check and he immediately and rudely started yelling Spanish... it was so uncomfortable. Then, after a few more employees peek around the corner, a short older lady came up and gave us the check. I assumed that she was a form of management. I can exaggerate and say that she tossed it or slammed the bill down, but the truth was that any way that she placed it, I now have a negative recollection. I said to her "he politely asked the waitress for new tortillas, the last option was sending the meal back" . She then shut one eye and rolled the other, turned her head to him and proceeded to explain that she was still going to charge him because he can't come in and eat free chips. Free chips?! I have eaten at almost every Mexican restaurant in central Ky and this place takes the cake on the worst customer service , apparent management and wait staff.

Very fun atmosphere. By far the best Mexican restaurant in the georgetown area. Food was delicious and the restaurant was very clean. Very big open feel with great service. It is a very fun place to go with friends, big parties or even on a date. Not romantic but very fun atmosphere. Great place to go for lunch with friends or co-workers.

This place very is mediocre. The food matches it's price. Chips and salsa were fair. We ordered guacamole and asked if it was made in house. They said yes. However there is no chance! It definitely came from a tub. It was extremely bland. No tomatoes, no spice. The entrees were no different not a whole lot of flavor. The servers were no where to be found after our food was delivered. Never checked to see how things were. The ambiance was colorful and spacious and clean. If you are looking for bland food this is your place.

Visited on a weekday for lunch. The buffet was limp and frankly pathetic. We ordered a-la-carte (veg/chicken/salmon fajitas). No one had more than 1/2 of the food. That too only because we were hungry.

I'm very fond of Mexican food and Mi Casita is one of the better Mexican restaurants in Central Kentucky. We have family in Georgetown so Mi Casita is our standard family dinner meeting place. The restaurant is very spacious. The staff is always friendly. The food is always good. This is a good, afford place to take a family or kids to dinner.

We will never eat here again. My family of four came in on a Sunday afternoon, and business was slow. We were seated on the back wall, while every other diner was seated up front. The waitress took our drink orders as soon as we sat down. The sweet tea was disgusting. It had been sitting, evidently, and was murky; it looked like it had milk in it. When she came back, I asked her to trade it for a water and she didn't even ask why, just turned to go. After waiting an appropriate amount of time, she took our food order. That was the last time we saw that waitress. Our food came out on time, or at least part of it did. My husband and youngest son got their food and me and my other son waited. And waited. Finally they brought mine but not his. When they sat my plate down, he said to watch out because it was hot. My hand grazed the plate and it was so hot, it nearly blistered. I pushed my young son as far away in the booth as I could because I was afraid he would touch it, and then I sat there, scared to eat for fear of being burned. My other son was still waiting. He waited another 5 minutes for his crappy little microwave pizza and fries. The time between when my husband was served and our son was served was over 15 minutes, and I was irate by then. I looked for someone to speak with and saw no one. When they finally brought his food, I asked to speak to a manager. From what I was told, the manager was on break. My food was terrible, by the way. The chile relleno had more batter than anything else, way more than it should. The enchilada had a tortilla that was like a chewy sponge. The beans have no flavor. When another waitress walked by, I asked her if she was the manager and she said no, that the manager doesn't come in until 5! So someone lied, obviously. Regardless, I never even got a chance to speak to anyone in charge. So I left feeling not only like if had a crappy meal, but dissatisfied that I didn't even get to voice my concerns. My advice: steer clear and go to Pepe's. (FYI this review is for the larger and newer Mi Casita behind Zaxby's. I've not visited the other one).

This is a regular go-to spot for us. Rare is the day when something from Mi Casita doesn't sound good. My fave - the fajitas Del Mar, all seafood and I have more than enough for lunch the next day or two. They're great about accommodating my dietary restrictions, service is beyond excellent here. Come before 7:00 for happy hour margaritas!

The old one that is still open is much better than the new one for food quality and service.

Fabulous restaurant - we were on vacation, but ate here twice. The food is delicious, and the service is top notch.

It may not be the most authentic Mexican restaurant in Georgetown, but it is certainly the best. Top quality food and service.

Everything I have had was fresh and delicious! Chile verde has just the right amount of heat. Guacamole is solid. Salsa is a bit watery for my tastes but still good.

Great big ass Mexican restaurant. The service here is spot on. The wait staff are attentive, fast, and friendly. You truly couldn't ask for more. They have a full service bar and ice their mugs. That is a HUGE perk. Nothing like a good frosty mug o beer to wash down a meal with. I really like this location and the huge parking lot.

As far as Mexican food goes it's not bad. But I have a huge issue with the way Mexican food is made here anyway. Not a fan of the queso they use or of the meat sauce.. but they're cocktails are freakin amazing and they make decent micheladas

Excellent meal on a Sunday night despite them getting ready to close. Enchiladas rancheros, taco carne assada, cheese quesadilla, and enchiladas were all very good. Only negative was that the chips were a little bland and the salsa a little watery.

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
