Rafferty’s Menu

I've been going to Rafferty's consistently for over a decade and I really appreciate the restaurant's versatile menu being one that is always in the position of trying to please multiple indecisive palates on a fairly regular basis. I know some will never give the restaurant it's credit due to being a small regional operation that has multiple locations, but Raferty's manages to do a lot of things pretty well, yet nothing that blows your mind (in terms if quality). I do take special note of heir salads and appetizers - while they aren't incredibly unique, Rafferty's attempts to put their own spin on them by adding ingredients you wouldn't see at other restaurants (especially salads and salad dressings). Service is generally good, although I've had some bad experiences at this particular location, and you can always find something to eat regardless of your mood (unless you are seeking a non-domestic cuisine). It's a solid utility restaurant to have in the rotation in the event you find yourself in this part if town (which is rare for us).

Nice patio, potential to be better. I ordered the baby back ribs and it was very dry. Jerky is even softer. The server was nice to replace it but yet again it was dry. The sauce of it is fantastic. ...I used it for me fries. Someone should pull then out of the smoker, even applebees have softer ribs than this. Wanted to give a 2.5 stars because it's all about the food. Server was nice though but let me recover from these sore jaws of mine.

Just had lunch here and our server Wes suggested the blackened Mahi Mahi and asparagus and it was insanely good! The price was awesome for how big of a piece it was! Too bad there isn't more locations!

Huge dining area. Good bar space. Lot's of t.v's. As for the food, they have honey glazed rolls, the starter salad has potato chips, and the tuna steak is two and a half fingers thick. On top of all that is a bartender that knows her business. No one will walk out of here disappointed.

Pregnant wife + fried mushrooms to go = gigando win for husband. My wife wanted two things the other night - a chili cheeseburger and fried mushrooms. I'm not making this up. I probably have 15 tabs open in chrome before I found the solution. I looked at mad Mike's, five guys, Wendy's, Ruby Tuesday's, smash burger, and any other burger joint I could think of. None of them had fried mushrooms. And then came the savior, Rafferty's! We ordered a side of those fried mushrooms with their horseradish honey mustard sauce and they were devoured by my first trimestering wife. A steak and shake less than a mile away was the answer to the chili cheeseburger. Bliss! I can't speak too much to the restaurant's service itself since we didn't go in. In the past I get the fried chicken salad with the honey croissant and I'm always happy. But for this time around, curbside was the way to go!

This place is way over priced! Food was nothing to write home about. Very disappointed!! I would have rather gone to Denny's then Rafferty's.

Good food, good service, great bar. Avoid the prime rib, just not up to par, however when I complained they comped the meal...very professional. Great for a family, or a date, you won't be disappointed .

Ate there last night at the bar with some friends. I enjoyed my visit. The lady running the bar was on top of things. She wasn't messing around. The fried pickles were average. I had the ribeye with a potato and broccoli. The marinated ribeye was good, just really thin. It's impossible to do med rare with a steak that's less than a half inch thick. But it tasted good. I had the mousse pie for dessert, our was really good too. Overall, it was a good place. I would go back.

I used to love going to Rafferty's for a quality meal with a decent atmosphere. The food is normally pretty good and fairly priced. However last week my positive outlook changed. After having a lovely dinner with a friend and her son, I became violently ill with food positioning. I ate a small portion of the chicken tender salad with the hot honey bacon dressing and ended up sick for two days. I was sick before I even left to go home! My friend had a salad as well with different grilled chicken and her son had chicken tenders, but neither of them became ill after eating here so it leads me to believe there was either something in the dressing or his chicken came from a different batch than I had. Even though our server was awesome and we received our food quick and promptly- I cannot give any establishment a positive review if I end up with food poisoning! Just avoid this place if you can. If not for that, but because it's still a smoking bar inside.

If your staying at one of the nearby Hotels definetely go, its a chicken, burger n steak place. Everything is decent and place has a warm cozy feel with a lots of flat screens. BE WARNED: you are in KY, if you're alone and they steer you to the Bar it will be very smokey and not BBQ smoke. God bless you Kentucky land of liberty and heavy liquor pours.

Although a bit pricey the food and service are great. Def give the house dressing a try you will love it Last time we were in they still allowed smoking in the bar which has hopefully changed

We've been to rafferty's a couple times. Both were a fairly standard meal and service, nothing exceptional or poor to note. Last night was probably the last time we'll visit. It was Thursday night, 5:00 with a fairly light crowd. My son & I sat inside in a booth. The waitress was friendly and prompt, but didn't know if there were specials or happy hour, no big deal. We ordered an app and our meals. Food: this is why we won't be back. Queso needs more flavor Chips were stale, they finally brought fresh ones Chicken tenders had no flavor! My chicken breast dish had the skin on it. Weird, I've never ordered a chicken breast dinner in a restaurant that came like that. I scraped off the overly smoked ham and cheese to peel off the skin. And the broccoli had a weird fish taste. I don't know how broccoli could be messed up... We probably won't visit this location again

The food was mediocre bar food. The atmosphere was welcoming. I really enjoyed the patio and fire. The staff and service were exceptional. I would go there again if on the area.

Though i liked the taste, Rafferty's is NOT the place for a salad to go! The spinach salad sounded great, and prob comes in an ENTREE size when dining in. The take out version is more like a tapas plate, even with grilled chicken added on. $14.00 + a tip leaves me sitting in my hotel room debating which fast food restaurant to visit for the entree to follow this side salad. Chick-Fil-A here i come!

Came here on a Friday night with an aunt. Was informed by the host that it would be a 30-35 min wait tops. Overall we waited 1 hour and 20 mins. The service was not great and the prime rib was something I could of prepared at home. I wouldn't be as dissatisfied if talking to the manager and her shrugging off our wait and awful service I wouldn't be writing this review. Not a fan. Will not be returning.

Better than Applebee's! Lol. Had the "super sized" Long Island Iced Tea...house salad and their tossed chicken fingers. Everything was good, but in particular you could tell the chicken tenders were homemade, not prepackaged frozen, and very tasty and tender. However, they weren't very spicy even though I ordered the "smokin' hot" variety.

We were traveling from Chicago to visit the Creation Museum in Ohio. My husband and I were starving and wanted to have a good hot meal. Convenient stores and 'healthy' fast foods just weren't cutting the mustard at this point in our trip! I totally forgot about this archaic question: "Smoking or non-smoking?" We were seated in the non-smoking section far away from the bar. I didn't notice that the odor of smoke following us to where we were located. But as soon as I headed to the bathroom that was a different story! The waitress was friendly and seemed enthusiastic about the food. We figured that was a good sign. (Although it could have been demographics...Chicagoans don't pride themelves on cheery dispositions, even in restaurants they are making money at!) This place wasn't too busy for a Weekend night, but the food was AMAZING. It took a little longer than expected for our meal to arrive, but you could tell that everything was made fresh. For the food: My husband's steak was just as good as any served in a Chicago steakhouse. He thought the honey butter rolls were out of this world. I special ordered a salad and it was prepared perfectly! Plus, the portions were generous. If we ever happen to be in this neck of the Kentucky again, we will definitely stop in this place again. If you're craving great, fresh food for a decent price, this place is it. I forgot to mention the decorating--It was weird. Not sure what else to say, but when you go there you will know what I mean.

Long time customer here who decided to try their carryout tonight. It was very easy due to them having a separate entrance and counter on the side. Love it!!!It made it super fast. The food was very good when I got home just like when I dine in. I was afraid it wouldn't be good. I will be back soon.

Food was fairly good. The mushrooms mentioned by others were excellent. I had grilled asparagus and salmon which were both good. The salmon could have used a little more seasoning but was still tasty. What impressed me the most was the service we received from Cory. For being a busy Friday night, his demeanor was wonderfully pleasant and helpful.

This was my first time eating at Raffertys. I would definitely go again. Visiting from NJ, it was nice to have good food with a southern touch to it. -The service was great. -The blackened salmon was very moist and DELICIOUS! My friend had the blackened mahi-mahi which also very good. -Everything on our plates, including the vegetables, were seasoned perfectly and were flavorful. -The prices are reasonable. -They had a nice outdoor seating area with a cool fireplace display that had blue fire. I would recommend to anyone who visits the area.

My husband & I have been coming to this restaurant for years. While its good food...they've changed. We used to feel we were getting a good deal for our money....the portions are now smaller and they've changed the recipes on our favorites, like the six shooter. It used to be a favorite restaurant of ours...now they've just jumped on the cookie cutter band wagon. Our experience last night....service was okay...they were busy, but it took about 10 min for them to take our drink order. My husband ordered a full baby back, I ordered steak & chicken fingers & our adult son ordered chicken Alfredo. The only reason I go there is that I love their house salad with the house dressing ...honey mustard with hot bacon...anyway...salads were served promptly. Our main dishes however were late....served lukewarm and my husbands ribs were cold! REALLY? The waitress apologized and brought him a new dish, but my son and I were done eating by the time the new dish came out. They comped our drinks for "the trouble" but I told then they should have comped his meal. This went from being my favorite restaurant to not being one I will choose anytime soon. It's gotten increasingly worse the last 2 years and with that snafu last night, my husband Will never go back. I Will say the salad was fresh, my chicken fingers were hot and good...my steak and potatoes were "warm". My sons Alfredo was "hot enough" and was tasty for an Alfredo Dish. Seemed family oriented...lots if big parties with small kids. They have numerous games going on their tvs. If ur drinking and eating..I'm sure u Will love this place. I would have given this place 5 stars about 4 years ago...but they've changed and portions got smaller while prices have gone up and I feel the food quality has declined. I don't know why they felt they needed a change....want to look like the other steakhouses I guess. They had a great thing going...anyway... I think its a hit or miss. I gave them one star because no food should come out cold...especially meat.

Can't handle smoking at the bar? Then don't go here..... Ughhh, I thought that died in the 80's (sorry smokers). I made it through one & 1/2 beers and checked into the hospital across the street for breathing problems caused by the chain smokers beside me..... Food? Who can eat in a cloud of smoke, I've seen less smoke at the Memphis in May bar b que competition.

Pretty good. 4 in our party, 1 had the steak, every one else had the burger. All came out fast and tasted good. The waiter was attentive and personable. Get the asparagus rather than fries. :)

Local Applebee's style restaurant with a unique twist on things. Worth trying to branch out. Everything I had was just a little different from the norm, which made it fun to try. Croissants covered in honey and pecans for an appetizer.Caesar salad had a unique spice covering it. The Chicken strips werent very good. The sirloin was decent but had a nice smokey flavor to it.

Stopped in for quick lunch while running errands in Florence and definitely regretted the choice. Smoke from the bar drifts into the non-smoking section. The fish on the sandwich I ordered had a very fishy/not fresh taste and was undercooked (never a good combination!) and the fries were limp and texture-less. I couldn't wait to get out of there, but service wasn't exactly quick, so had to hang out in the secondhand smoke for our check, making the experience all the worse. And for what it is, it's also overpriced. There are a ton of American chain restaurants in the area so skip this place and head to one of those instead if that's what you're in the mood for.

Would you like smoking or non-smoking? It's been a while since I've heard those words from a hostess. And, it's kinda like going back in time. I had to remind myself that parts of my homeland still allow smoking in public places which would probably account for why half my usually Downey-fresh clothes reek of smoke. But I digress, Rafferty's had been one my favorite small chain restaurants to eat ate when I lived in Kentucky. I had dual dreams between the buttery croissants they served and the flaky biscuits served at Cracker Barrel. So what choice was I to make when we exited the freeway (err Interstate) and found both restaurants side by side....go Rafferty's because they have booze. From their Famous Potato Soup to their Bluegrass Special Sandwich, Rafferty's has never disappointed. (sorry Cracker Barrel, I'll have to continue dreaming about biscuits and chicken n' dumplings).

Went here while we were in town for the Cubs game. The potato soup was very good and then came the BBQ ribs and pulled pork - so delicious - awesome food and good service. What else can you ask for? I wish there was one near my house.

I came here with a bunch of drunken IT co-workers who enjoy liquor. I am surprised the staff put up with us! We were saddened that the bar's closing time was 11pm. But, somehow we managed to stay an hour later. The BBQ cheddar burger was scrumptious! It was beautifully and artistically created by the delicate hands by the Mexicans that work in the kitchen. When I inquired if there were any Mexicans in Kentucky (I'm Mexican), the staff informed me that they work in the back! The drink prices are very reasonable and the employees were very accommodating. Come here!

I love going to Rafferty's for lunch, they have the best salads, especially the sweet croissants for the Salads. I ordered to Cobb salad. When you order the Salad get extra croissants. I Like the atmosphere. nice to see the manager come by to see how everything is going.

This is your typical chain restaurant. The theme is something like a generic ski lodge built for tourists, except this is a generic restaurant that serves the tourist crowd and the refined palates of Florence. In addition they pipe in some killer 80's tunes like the Cure and New Order. During the meal I turned to my sister and said this place reminded me of a bad 80's ski movie, or Hot Tub Time Machine, personified into a restaurant, which is perfect for people like my parents who grew up in the 80's. Food wise its a mixed bag of shorts. Usually the burgers and sandwiches are pretty good, and I think all apps were 5 bucks until 8. Also the potato soup is really good. I on the other hand made the unfortunate mistake of ordering the chicken salad, thinking it was the delicious chicken finger house salad with croissants and some fancy vinaigrette. Wrong. What came out were two small croissants and a two scoops of chicken salad on a plate. The chicken salad was so-so, but come on this is quite possibly the lamest dish ever. Granted this was all my fault because I ordered without my glasses on my face. Overall its a pretty decent restaurant. The other noticeable cons are the beer menu of 4 beers and that there is smoking. Aside from that its not a bad place. Lots of good menu options and free smells from the kitchen. All of this makes for a fairly enjoyable and pleasant experience, just make sure you have 20-20 vision when looking at the menu.

Traditional sports bar. Great chicken finger buffalo filet appetizer. Chicken was extremely moist and hot sauce has flavor. The ribs were excellent. We did not need a knife to cut the chicken or ribs.

Just average food. I think this is a concept that has run its course. Over priced, mediocre food at best. No one seems to want to be working there. For a while I thought we had the invisible table. Not a great experience. For the price I would go elsewhere.
