2 Stars only because the staff was very friendly. However, the food is NOT famous. I got the St Louis Ribs n meat. I got the brisket. It was borderline jerky. It was dry and crunchy with so much salt you think you were eating on the wagon train. The ribs advertise 3-4 hrs of cooking/smoking. Nope. The ribs were tough, not tender so as to easily come off. I do give them an atta boy for great smoke flavor in the meat. But that is over shadowed by everything else that is wrong with their meats. I will forever pass on famous dave's and all other chain bbq places. Sticky fingers is the only chain I would go to again. Sad, because it smells so good and just lets you down.

Don't even bother. The worst tasting BBQ I ever had. The sauce was very heavy on the vinegar. My lunch partner ordered a stuffed potato with some specific requests but the order arrived totally incorrect. I ordered rib tips which were very very bones and fatty. Very little meat on them. Forty five minutes to get an appetizer here today. No server or manager coming around to say anything about the delay. Overheard our server to another table, say that there was a party of 20 whose food had just came up which was why there was such a delay. We have been here an hour and a half now and finally got a refill of our drinks. Sad..just sad..went to the restroom and saw the party of 20...they were done eating 5 minutes after the server told the table by us that the party of 20 food had just came up. Really?

I love all the sauce options being on the table, you can dip your heart out! The half chicken and the ribs are so good. By far my favorite thing at Dave's is the jalapeño Mac and cheese, that stuff is serious! You have to do two things, pick a delicious protein then make sure you get that mac and cheese!

Very disappointed. We went for my son's birthday dinner and made it a point to mention that to the manager, but not a word was ever said by any of the staff. We ordered the All-American BBQ Feast for the family. The price the last time we ordered was $50 and now it is $62. The ribs were tasty, but mostly fat. The 4 sauces that were on the tables before, are now down to 2. Different cornbread. Also, they no longer serve chips before the meal. The atmosphere just seemed dull stark contrast to the decor. Our server, while efficient and pleasant, was rather monotone. They no longer wear the "funny" t-shirts. We asked about the changes and he acknowledged all of them, but stated "no one knows why". We could have gone ANYWHERE in Florence for his birthday dinner and spent less, but gotten more.

The first time I walked into Dave's, I felt like I was back in Memphis. It looked like a Memphis rib joint, and sounded like a Memphis rib joint, with blues playing in the background. I have always loved the St. Louis Ribs, all of the sides, and the service. Now all but two sauces are gone from the table, Chicago's on the sound system and instead of an appealing corn muffin, the cornbread came from a flat pan. They no longer serve the ribs on a tray in paper, and they have weird new salad bowls. The service is still good, and I guess the food's still good, but the atmosphere is GONE. Management's also been instructed to take the "clutter" down. Everything I liked about the place will soon be gone. Not worth going back for. I am so sad.

Our meal was excellent tonight. I had BBQ chicken and it was full of juice and the BBQ sauce was very good. My wife had the BBQ brisket and it was just as good. We will definitely be back and very soon. The sides were very good as well. The macaroni and cheese has jalapeño peppers and packs a little kick. All their sides are made in house, no can stuff..

I don't like restaurant chains. Usually, they suck - bad service, tasteless food. I've never given a chain more than 1 or 2 stars. However, every now and then you find an individual place that makes their chain better (I'm guessing often without the parent knowing). This particular Famous Dave's is one such place. Their service is fantastic. They are the only place I've ever eaten that has Diet Mt. Dew (my fav!). They do their own desserts, and modify the required ones. Get the bread pudding! I don't know why I like this place, but every time I roll through the area I stop at this location....

In my opinion, the menu highlights are the Burnt Ends for appetizer, the brisket for entree and the bread pudding for dessert. All were very delicious and memorable. The restaurant claims to have won over 200 awards in barbecue competitions and while they aren't the best I've had, I think their food can stand up to that claim. They have a variety of barbecue sauces available but my personal favorite was the "Devil's Snot" as it was significantly spicy enough for me while also retaining the sweetness of the sauce. Prices weren't too bad either as lunch for 4 with appetizer, entrees, and desserts and tip came out to a few cents above $80.

Stopped in while in the area for dinner. Service was fast and courteius. The food was better than expected for a chain. The burnt ends were indeed burnt. Good smokey flavor. The brisket was good; moist and smokey in flavor. The smoked link sausage was okay. All in all a good visit.

We have always had good luck with this location. Great service, good food. But last night 5 of us left disappointed. My Texas beef brisket was more like beef jerky, and it had a very bizarre taste. The closest thing I could compare it to is lighter fluid. I told the waitress and she replaced it with a piece of roasted chicken. It did not taste like lighter fluid however when I cut into it it didn't smell right. After I tasted it I further confirmed that something wasn't right. I immediately stopped eating it and went on to my pulled pork, mashed potatoes and broccoli. Although the flavor was good, everything seemed to have a coating of what can best be described as 'grit'. Yuck. I won't even go into the potato soup. We won't be going back. Disappointing.

I ordered a combination plate for take out. It was the rib tips and chicken with broccoli and potato salad. For dessert, I had the bread pudding. The bread pudding was great even when I refrigerated it and ate it cold. It isn't the best I've had but pretty good. The potato salad, hell pickles and bbq baked chicken were really good! Had a little bit of everything from here and all was great. The only complaint I had was the south side rib tips and the pulled pork was alright but the chicken and ribs made up for it. Cole slaw had vinegar in it that I have never heard of before it and it was great along with the baked beans that had a bunch of meat in it as well. I had famous daves in D.C. Before and it was completely different and will be going back here again

This isn't the type of joint I would think to visit unless I was in a feeding frenzy or invited for a birthday party. Unfortunately, some friends still celebrate birthdays after 30. Dummies. Because I don't eat beef or pork, my fondness for BBQ never lines up with people around me. I certainly don't relate to those who rave about Montgomery Inn BBQ. The service and experience here is very unimpressive, but not disappointing. The veggies didn't strike me as being fresh, but no promised me they shopped at farmer markets for ingredients. My chicken was ok, and on our trusty rating system, that garners 3 stars.

I've had the pulled pork here and while it's not Carolina good, and it's WAY more pricey than it is at a small joint back home, it's well seasoned and plentiful. We also took my parents here when they came to visit and they both loved it as well. But usually we order this as Take Out. And I'll let you in on a little secret. As far as Famous Dave's knows...I'm a 6yr old girl. Because I get the Lil Wilbur Meal of Kraft Mac N'Cheese. It comes with carrots and celery, plus Oreo® cookies and a drink for less than $5. The drink comes in a cute plastic cup with a lid. I love them. There. Now you know. I'm cheap and I love mac N' cheese. and Oreos. Don't you dare judge me. The times we have dined in have been pretty ok. The most recent time the restaurant was very busy but we were seated right away.The service is friendly if not timely and/or that attentive. The bathrooms were disgusting. The food took a really long time to come out (45 minutes or better) and that was after our appetizer which took about 20 minutes. So, don't go if you are in a hurry or have a movie time to make. Probably won't happen. All in all though, good food, better if you get it to go.

Not bad for a barbecue chain restaurant. I like to order the St. Louis ribs. You get a lot of meat on the bone. The 5 sauces on the table are really good - the corn on the cob and corn biscuit is fresh. The mac and cheese...yummy. Service is excellent. It was nice of them when the manager came out to see how everything was going. The only downfall is the portions are a little small for the price. Wish the portions were a bit larger.

If you have a hankering for barbecue out in the suburbs of Northern Kentucky, you don't have too many choices. Luckily, though, Famous Dave's ranks amongst those choices. Famous Dave's offers good food, good service, and a good value. The barbecue sauces come in a variety of flavors to suit your palate and the portions are generous. It's one of my favorite stops for a casual dinner with friends who you don't mind seeing you covered in barbecue sauce. Oh, and the praline sundae is amazing!

I was torn between giving it three stars, and giving it four stars. I chose three stars because although I just couldn't get over the price being a bit high and the portions were just ok. My friend saw a commercial for Ribzilla last night and basically screamed at me that we MUST be there at opening so he could get his ribzilla monster feast on lol. We got there at 11am as soon as they opened and all of a sudden my friend decides he'd rather get it to go lol. So we walk to the back of the restaurant and place our order. He got the ribzilla meal which said to be one rib and two sides. He let me have the sides since he dragged me out for this lol. I chose the fries and the wild rice soup since the emal came with corn and a muffin. It was very quick, 10 minutes max and the staff was friendly. To our surprise, there were two meaty rib bones, instead of just one. Maybe because this was the lunch time and they didn't have many customers, or maybe because the it didn't look as meaty as the commercial. Either way my friend was geeked. He said it was delicious, a little greasy but the Dr Pepper sauce was nice and sticky. The fries were ok, nothing special- just regular wedge fries. And I was disappointed to see the soup had chicken in it, as I am a vegetarian. Somehow. I missed that int he description. Luckily it was chicken chunks so I was able to pick them out and eat around it, making it an adequate soup. The price was kinda high, $23 bucks, but it was nice to have something different.

I'm a big barbecue fan, having tried some authentic southern barbecue a few years back in Georgia and Florida, and their use of cole slaw on everything that's barbecued! I had Sonny's when I was down there and it was amazing, and when City Barbecue opened in Eastgate, I tried it. Meh. My buddy recommended that I try Famous Dave's, and we did on the way back from a truck show down in Louisville. Everytime that I have been in this location, it is always packed! We started off with the Onion Strings. Deep fried with a remoulade sauce for dipping. $5.99...they weren't bad for the price. Now on to the main meal...I had the Two-Meat BBQ Combo with the Texas Beef Brisket and the Georgia Chopped Pork, complete with cornbread muffin, and corn on the cob, plus two sides. I had the fries and the Wilbur beans. $14.49 for the main meal, a little bit pricey compared to some other BBQ joints, but that's okay since I don't have a chance to come here often. I really wish there was a location closer to Eastgate, but I make the drive to Florence every great once in a while to have either Famous Dave's or Cheddar's. It's been a while since I've been out there and I'll have to make a pilgrimage soon. And don't forget to try the Devil's Spit sauce, it is amazing!

Had lunch before heading to the zoo. The environment was relaxed and comfortable. Fed 3 kids and 3 adults for about $50. The kids cleaned their plates which rarely happens. My sister said her ribs were the best ever. My mom raved about the beer chicken. I loved the corn in the cob and baked beans. Staff was nice and provided great service including plenty of sweet tea refills.

Famous Dave's beats the spicy crap out of City Barbecue, let's just get that out of the way. It's of comparable price for way more food, radically nicer and more interesting servers, and an actual sit-down atmosphere, as opposed to the line-up cafeteria feel City Barbecue so loves. It's also better than Smokey Bones, which is significantly more expensive for, at best, a marginal increase in quality and decor. Is this place classy? Of course not. It has kitsch hanging from every available surface. But really, do you want kitsch from your rib joint? Hells yeah you do. Famous Dave's is like that: exactly what you want from your rib joint. Your server is all like "How y'all doin' tonight?", and some of the larger meals come on upside-down garbage can lids. Meanwhile there's a 1950s gas pump next to your table and your tablecloth is red-and-white checkered. Would you have your first date there? No (or yes--I won't judge). Would you go there for Aunt Edit's birthday? You would if you know what's good for you. I actually find the best food there to be of the non-rib variety. I get sausage links and catfish every time, and they're amazing every time. But I've had just about everything at least once, and nothing disappoints. Plus they have, like, seven different sauces to choose from, and they can bring you a little plate of chips to try them all with. For my money, I go with Wilbur's Revenge. Get it? I can't give this place five stars mostly because five stars means "As good as it gets," and I'm from the South, where all the real barbecue gets made. But other than that, it's a five-star dining experience, at least by Yelp standards.

As others said, the portion size is a little smaller for a comparable price at similar chain type barbecue restaurants. I thought the quality of the food pretty much made up for it, though. Still not as good as the best independents, but a decent selection of meats and sauces. The chopped pork was melt-in-your-mouth tender, and the best of the things hubby and I ordered. Service was quick and efficient. My biggest quibble is that a LOT of menu items are apparently hot and spicy--even including the green beans. I didn't think, for example, that putting jalapenos in mac and cheese is all that great an idea. Anyway, Famous Dave's won't set the Q world on fire, but it's worth a try especially if you're in the area.

So I've began to hate the wait before going to a nice dinner on a Friday or Saturday evening. On the other hand, unless there is a good reason for it, I'm not going to go to a fast food restaurant. Just went here tonight and there were a lot of people. However, besides the fact that I groaned when I get there, there were two places at the bar and we sat down. The 30 minute wait that was proposed to us ended up being about 15-20 minutes. Now this isn't necessarily one of those amazing things, but for the amount of people that were there, they got us seated pretty well. We sat down and almost immediately our server came over and got us our drinks. From this point on, our drinks never sat empty. Once again, this may not seem like a big thing, but this is definitely a thumbs down if my drink stays empty long (I drink a lot of pop). The food was spectacular as usual (I have been here before) and the staff was very responsive. If you go, you must try the baked beans. They are absolutely heaven. Definitely a nice place to go. Not a romantic atmosphere, but definitely a good first date place (as long as you can eat BBQ without getting it on you!). Also a fun place to bring friends or the family.

Famous Dave's is easily the best barbecue joint in Northern Kentucky. I have been to the Florence, Ky location several visits. I have always had great food, and good service. I love the selection of sauces on the table to choose from. The smoked salmon & cream cheese spread appetizer is TO DIE FOR, and Famous Dave's (St. Louis style) ribs are easily the star of the menu. Tender and tasty. While the food is a little pricey, it is worth every penny. I love eating here!

This place is really good. Everything I've ever tried is good. Service is usually pretty fast. I did have to wait a while once though. Lunch hours are probably best but that's with all restaurants. When it's your first time there, they give you free fries so you can sample all of their types of bbq sauce, which all of them are good. Also they give you a little goody bag with a free bottle of bbq sauce. Once I went when they had their que for two. It was an amazing deal. When and if they ever have that again, I highly recommend everyone going.

After ten hours of loading trucks and sorting inventory, I headed back to the hotel for a much needed shower and change of clothes. From there I met up with new Yelper Heather I. and possible future Yelper Tommy E. over at Famous Dave's for some Southern BBQ. Our server Lindsey was super friendly and gave top notch customer service. I felt very welcome in this place... at home if you will. For appetizers, we started with an assortment of beers, followed by a couple rounds of Maker's Mark bourbon. I can't come to Kentucky and not have Kentucky Bourbon! I only wish I had more leisure time on this trip out to tour the various distilleries. Anyways, enough of the glorious booze-fest portion of this review... on to the food! As we were in a Southern BBQ joint, I opted for a full slab of their baby back ribs. I had to redeem myself as the last time I had baby back ribs the dish was sub-par, but that's what I get for ordering it at a "pachyderm" bar which shall remain nameless. The ribs here are a generous portion of spicy, messy, tender, and flavorful goodness. My dish came with a mini BBQ corn cobbette, some delicious Wilbur Beans (baked beans with smoked pork, brisket, hot link, and jalapeno!), and Famous Fries (skin-on fried potato wedges). I also sampled their Drunkin' Apples (warm Granny Smith's marinated in a sweet cinnamon and amaretto sauce) and their Spicy Pickles, which start off as your standard butter pickles, and then they add a spiciness that creeps up on you as you eat more and more (and can't stop!) Needless to say, I put it all down and chased it all with a few more brews. Leave any room for dessert? Not sure about that. Then I was told by Tommy E and Lindsey of the wonder that is their Bread Pudding. I shouldn't... but then again, I do need to carb-up for the next day's truck loading session so.... Bring it on! Divine eating, sinfully sweet with a caramelized sauce. Pics are up of all this tasty goodness. Stopped in while in the area for dinner. Service was fast and courteius. The food was better than expected for a chain. The burnt ends were indeed burnt. Good smokey flavor. The brisket was good; moist and smokey in flavor. The smoked link sausage was okay. All in all a good visit.

We have always had good luck with this location. Great service, good food. But last night 5 of us left disappointed. My Texas beef brisket was more like beef jerky, and it had a very bizarre taste. The closest thing I could compare it to is lighter fluid. I told the waitress and she replaced it with a piece of roasted chicken. It did not taste like lighter fluid however when I cut into it it didn't smell right. After I tasted it I further confirmed that something wasn't right. I immediately stopped eating it and went on to my pulled pork, mashed potatoes and broccoli. Although the flavor was good, everything seemed to have a coating of what can best be described as 'grit'. Yuck. I won't even go into the potato soup. We won't be going back. Disappointing.

Good mac n cheese, but the pulled chicken was a big disappointment. Nothing special about the famous fries. The cornbread was just so-so. Friendly waitstaff. I prefer City Barbeque.

I ordered a combination plate for take out. It was the rib tips and chicken with broccoli and potato salad. For dessert, I had the bread pudding. The bread pudding was great even when I refrigerated it and ate it cold. It isn't the best I've had but pretty good. The potato salad, hell pickles and bbq baked chicken were really good! I couldn't stop with the chicken. The rib tips were dry and not my favorite. It wasn't terrible either. Just ehh.

Went around 2pm and the bbq was hidden under sauce and seemed dry and burnt at times. Maybe a bad day to go? What Cincinnati really needs is a bbq place that is on the same caliber as Kansas city, Memphis, or Texas bbq places. I'm talking about "The Saltlick" "Gates" "Arthur Bryant's" "Corky's" "Rendezvous" Elis is good but it is skillet fired bbq

Love this place. Tip: When I first came here, they always had the different barbecue sauces out on the tables. I guess they've now moved them but they're still available so make sure you ask!

Had a little bit of everything from here and all was great. The only complaint I had was the south side rib tips and the pulled pork was alright but the chicken and ribs made up for it. Cole slaw had vinegar in it that I have never heard of before it and it was great along with the baked beans that had a bunch of meat in it as well. I had famous daves in D.C. Before and it was completely different and will be going back here again

This isn't the type of joint I would think to visit unless I was in a feeding frenzy or invited for a birthday party. Unfortunately, some friends still celebrate birthdays after 30. Dummies. Because I don't eat beef or pork, my fondness for BBQ never lines up with people around me. I certainly don't relate to those who rave about Montgomery Inn BBQ. The service and experience here is very unimpressive, but not disappointing. The veggies didn't strike me as being fresh, but no promised me they shopped at farmer markets for ingredients. My chicken was ok, and on our trusty rating system, that garners 3 stars.

I'm a Carolina girl. I like barbeque. I can't help myself. I've had the pulled pork here and while it's not Carolina good, and it's WAY more pricey than it is at a small joint back home, it's well seasoned and plentiful. We also took my parents here when they came to visit and they both loved it as well. But usually we order this as Take Out. And I'll let you in on a little secret. As far as Famous Dave's knows...I'm a 6yr old girl. Because I get the Lil Wilbur Meal of Kraft Mac N'Cheese. It comes with carrots and celery, plus Oreo® cookies and a drink for less than $5. The drink comes in a cute plastic cup with a lid. I love them. There. Now you know. I'm cheap and I love mac N' cheese. and Oreos. Don't you dare judge me. The times we have dined in have been pretty ok. The most recent time the restaurant was very busy but we were seated right away.The service is friendly if not timely and/or that attentive. The bathrooms were disgusting. The food took a really long time to come out (45 minutes or better) and that was after our appetizer which took about 20 minutes. So, don't go if you are in a hurry or have a movie time to make. Probably won't happen. All in all though, good food, better if you get it to go.

Not bad for a barbecue chain restaurant. I like to order the St. Louis ribs. You get a lot of meat on the bone. The 5 sauces on the table are really good - the corn on the cob and corn biscuit is fresh. The mac and cheese...yummy. Service is excellent. It was nice of them when the manager came out to see how everything was going. The only downfall is the portions are a little small for the price. Wish the portions were a bit larger.

If you have a hankering for barbecue out in the suburbs of Northern Kentucky, you don't have too many choices. Luckily, though, Famous Dave's ranks amongst those choices. Famous Dave's offers good food, good service, and a good value. The barbecue sauces come in a variety of flavors to suit your palate and the portions are generous. It's one of my favorite stops for a casual dinner with friends who you don't mind seeing you covered in barbecue sauce. Oh, and the praline sundae is amazing!

I was torn between giving it three stars, and giving it four stars. I chose three stars because although I just couldn't get over the price being a bit high and the portions were just ok. My friend saw a commercial for Ribzilla last night and basically screamed at me that we MUST be there at opening so he could get his ribzilla monster feast on lol. We got there at 11am as soon as they opened and all of a sudden my friend decides he'd rather get it to go lol. So we walk to the back of the restaurant and place our order. He got the ribzilla meal which said to be one rib and two sides. He let me have the sides since he dragged me out for this lol. I chose the fries and the wild rice soup since the emal came with corn and a muffin. It was very quick, 10 minutes max and the staff was friendly. To our surprise, there were two meaty rib bones, instead of just one. Maybe because this was the lunch time and they didn't have many customers, or maybe because the it didn't look as meaty as the commercial. Either way my friend was geeked. He said it was delicious, a little greasy but the Dr Pepper sauce was nice and sticky. The fries were ok, nothing special- just regular wedge fries. And I was disappointed to see the soup had chicken in it, as I am a vegetarian. Somehow. I missed that int he description. Luckily it was chicken chunks so I was able to pick them out and eat around it, making it an adequate soup. The price was kinda high, $23 bucks, but it was nice to have something different.

I'm a big barbecue fan, having tried some authentic southern barbecue a few years back in Georgia and Florida, and their use of cole slaw on everything that's barbecued! I had Sonny's when I was down there and it was amazing, and when City Barbecue opened in Eastgate, I tried it. Meh. My buddy recommended that I try Famous Dave's, and we did on the way back from a truck show down in Louisville. Everytime that I have been in this location, it is always packed! We started off with the Onion Strings. Deep fried with a remoulade sauce for dipping. $5.99...they weren't bad for the price. Now on to the main meal...I had the Two-Meat BBQ Combo with the Texas Beef Brisket and the Georgia Chopped Pork, complete with cornbread muffin, and corn on the cob, plus two sides. I had the fries and the Wilbur beans. $14.49 for the main meal, a little bit pricey compared to some other BBQ joints, but that's okay since I don't have a chance to come here often. I really wish there was a location closer to Eastgate, but I make the drive to Florence every great once in a while to have either Famous Dave's or Cheddar's. It's been a while since I've been out there and I'll have to make a pilgrimage soon. And don't forget to try the Devil's Spit sauce, it is amazing!

Had lunch before heading to the zoo. The environment was relaxed and comfortable. Fed 3 kids and 3 adults for about $50. The kids cleaned their plates which rarely happens. My sister said her ribs were the best ever. My mom raved about the beer chicken. I loved the corn in the cob and baked beans. Staff was nice and provided great service including plenty of sweet tea refills.

Famous Dave's beats the spicy crap out of City Barbecue, let's just get that out of the way. It's of comparable price for way more food, radically nicer and more interesting servers, and an actual sit-down atmosphere, as opposed to the line-up cafeteria feel City Barbecue so loves. It's also better than Smokey Bones, which is significantly more expensive for, at best, a marginal increase in quality and decor. Is this place classy? Of course not. It has kitsch hanging from every available surface. But really, do you want kitsch from your rib joint? Hells yeah you do. Famous Dave's is like that: exactly what you want from your rib joint. Your server is all like "How y'all doin' tonight?", and some of the larger meals come on upside-down garbage can lids. Meanwhile there's a 1950s gas pump next to your table and your tablecloth is red-and-white checkered. Would you have your first date there? No (or yes--I won't judge). Would you go there for Aunt Edit's birthday? You would if you know what's good for you. I actually find the best food there to be of the non-rib variety. I get sausage links and catfish every time, and they're amazing every time. But I've had just about everything at least once, and nothing disappoints. Plus they have, like, seven different sauces to choose from, and they can bring you a little plate of chips to try them all with. For my money, I go with Wilbur's Revenge. Get it? I can't give this place five stars mostly because five stars means "As good as it gets," and I'm from the South, where all the real barbecue gets made. But other than that, it's a five-star dining experience, at least by Yelp standards.

As others said, the portion size is a little smaller for a comparable price at similar chain type barbecue restaurants. I thought the quality of the food pretty much made up for it, though. Still not as good as the best independents, but a decent selection of meats and sauces. The chopped pork was melt-in-your-mouth tender, and the best of the things hubby and I ordered. Service was quick and efficient. My biggest quibble is that a LOT of menu items are apparently hot and spicy--even including the green beans. I didn't think, for example, that putting jalapenos in mac and cheese is all that great an idea. Anyway, Famous Dave's won't set the Q world on fire, but it's worth a try especially if you're in the area.

So I've began to hate the wait before going to a nice dinner on a Friday or Saturday evening. On the other hand, unless there is a good reason for it, I'm not going to go to a fast food restaurant. Just went here tonight and there were a lot of people. However, besides the fact that I groaned when I get there, there were two places at the bar and we sat down. The 30 minute wait that was proposed to us ended up being about 15-20 minutes. Now this isn't necessarily one of those amazing things, but for the amount of people that were there, they got us seated pretty well. We sat down and almost immediately our server came over and got us our drinks. From this point on, our drinks never sat empty. Once again, this may not seem like a big thing, but this is definitely a thumbs down if my drink stays empty long (I drink a lot of pop). The food was spectacular as usual (I have been here before) and the staff was very responsive. If you go, you must try the baked beans. They are absolutely heaven. Definitely a nice place to go. Not a romantic atmosphere, but definitely a good first date place (as long as you can eat BBQ without getting it on you!). Also a fun place to bring friends or the family.

Famous Dave's is easily the best barbecue joint in Northern Kentucky. I have been to the Florence, Ky location several visits. I have always had great food, and good service. I love the selection of sauces on the table to choose from. The smoked salmon & cream cheese spread appetizer is TO DIE FOR, and Famous Dave's (St. Louis style) ribs are easily the star of the menu. Tender and tasty. While the food is a little pricey, it is worth every penny. I love eating here!

This place is really good. Everything I've ever tried is good. Service is usually pretty fast. I did have to wait a while once though. Lunch hours are probably best but that's with all restaurants. When it's your first time there, they give you free fries so you can sample all of their types of bbq sauce, which all of them are good. Also they give you a little goody bag with a free bottle of bbq sauce. Once I went when they had their que for two. It was an amazing deal. When and if they ever have that again, I highly recommend everyone going.

After ten hours of loading trucks and sorting inventory, I headed back to the hotel for a much needed shower and change of clothes. From there I met up with new Yelper Heather I. and possible future Yelper Tommy E. over at Famous Dave's for some Southern BBQ. Our server Lindsey was super friendly and gave top notch customer service. I felt very welcome in this place... at home if you will. For appetizers, we started with an assortment of beers, followed by a couple rounds of Maker's Mark bourbon. I can't come to Kentucky and not have Kentucky Bourbon! I only wish I had more leisure time on this trip out to tour the various distilleries. Anyways, enough of the glorious booze-fest portion of this review... on to the food! As we were in a Southern BBQ joint, I opted for a full slab of their baby back ribs. I had to redeem myself as the last time I had baby back ribs the dish was sub-par, but that's what I get for ordering it at a "pachyderm" bar which shall remain nameless. The ribs here are a generous portion of spicy, messy, tender, and flavorful goodness. My dish came with a mini BBQ corn cobbette, some delicious Wilbur Beans (baked beans with smoked pork, brisket, hot link, and jalapeno!), and Famous Fries (skin-on fried potato wedges). I also sampled their Drunkin' Apples (warm Granny Smith's marinated in a sweet cinnamon and amaretto sauce) and their Spicy Pickles, which start off as your standard butter pickles, and then they add a spiciness that creeps up on you as you eat more and more (and can't stop!) Needless to say, I put it all down and chased it all with a few more brews. Leave any room for dessert? Not sure about that. Then I was told by Tommy E and Lindsey of the wonder that is their Bread Pudding. I shouldn't... but then again, I do need to carb-up for the next day's truck loading session so.... Bring it on! Divine eating, sinfully sweet with a caramelized sauce. Pics are up of all this tasty goodness. I hope to visit this region again soon, not for work, but for more good eating with Heather I. and Tommy E.
