Definitely my favorite place to eat out! Food is reasonably priced and tastes delicious. I get the lunch portion of the fried catfish and can barely finish it. The food is amazing! I recommend this place to anyone and everyone. It's a great place to go with large groups because they can accommodate seating.

Love Cheddar's...food is always good and it is very reasonably priced. The menu is quite varied, always something on it for everyone. The Buffalo chicken wrap is great as well as the sirloin, chicken tenders and the Dijon chicken is good as well. The service is hit and miss...especially at lunch time. It is almost always busy so if you can get to dinner early, do it.

Not sure why people say this place is expensive... $23 for two adult meals, one kids meal and drinks! We couldn't even finish it all! I'm sure there is a McDonald's nearby for all you complainers! ;) Busy environment, but got in with no wait during peak time on a Friday night. Great service from our friendly waiter, Pedro! Not bad at all!

Food is satisfactory. Service from our server was really bad - had to ask for refills, didn't bring side salad, mixed up entree salad order, brought incorrect drinks. But decent experience overall.

Cheddar's!! You are really trying to make me never come there again. As it's impossible to ever eat there, I went for lunch one day. I was saddened to see that you upped all the prices on your menu by a couple bucks. You used to be a cheap but better Fridays. Now you're just Fridays with a long wait. What the hell, man?

Cheddar's....amazing. Sums it up perfectly. I came here on the recommendation of a friend. Think of Cheddar's as something similar to Applebees or O' Charley's but with bigger portions and lower prices. For the appetizer, I had the Texas Cheese Fries. French fries, topped with melted cheddar and jack cheeses, as well as bacon, served with creamy ranch. The order was huge! I ended up sharing them with a buddy of mine because of that. Another plus, they were only $5.99! Now on to the main meal, I had the steak and chicken tenders. 8 ounce sirloin and 3 or 4 chicken tenders. This filled me up and it was only $11.99. All in all, for all of the food that I described above, I paid less than $20 for everything. If you are ever in the neighborhood of Florence, definitely check this place out- I guarantee you won't be disappointed!

Chicken tenders are very tender and taste great. I got to admit, I am usually not fan of chicken tenders, most are dry chicken or to greasy. Cheddar some how know how to make it fresh. Also there chips and salsa is great, chips are really thin, which I like, and salsa got sweet and hot flavor. Even there burger taste good for $5.00. Great family atmosphere. Very reasonable price.

Two words...COOKIE MONSTER! How can you go wrong with a fresh baked chocolate chip cookie warm straight from the oven with vanilla ice cream, hot fudge, whipped cream and a cherry? By far the best thing on the menu. The other food that I have had here is all good too. Favorite place for dessert.

Onion rings are really good along with a cheeseburger. Our server, I wish I would have got her name, was one of the best servers I have ever had. Place was busy on a Sunday afternoon outstanding service an a great meal.

This place is so bad it honestly even isn't worth yelping. The only reason I'm doin it is to save the first timers from taking a gamble and wasting their casual dining dollars on this dump. Skip the poor service and barely edible food here (it's expensive!) and go to Chili's instead.

A wonderful little spot my boyfriend and I both enjoy. Even at peak dinner hours, our wait wasn't very long and we were seated almost immediately. My favorite dish is by far the Chicken Caesar Pasta Salad, but there steak was also delicious. My boyfriend was not overly thrilled by his ribs, but he greatly enjoyed the Tilapia and the Idaho Mashed Potatoes. Our servers have always been phenomenal.

We just left the restaurant and had to give a full five stars! Jon was our waiter and its becoming less common to have phenomenal service anymore, but he was amazing! I hunted down the manager before leaving to dote on him. The ribs literally just fell off the bone. The steak was cooked perfectly. Texas cheese fries were fresh, hot, and oh so gooey! And the croissants were flaky and fluffy. The best date night we've had in a long time!

Service was good and food was average. The reason for the poor review is the filthy women's restroom at 1:00 pm. They couldn't have been open but a couple of hours. Stalls with no toilet paper, full trash cans, and yes, fecal matter spread on stall wall. I reported to management but did not hang around to see if they cleaned. Thankfully the Cheddar's in Louisville on Westport Road has higher standards!

An over-abundance of food does not make you forget if that food is just - blah. I had an appetizer sized order of chicken fingers and fries that would have fed a family of four. They were OK. Not the best ever, not the worst. Everyone else had the same feeling about their enormous platters of food. Like many chain restaurants, this place is just too much... the bread is good though. And I'm sure they'll give you as much as you want.

I could hardly decide whether or not to give Cheddar's a 4 or 5 star. My last experience there made me decide on a four, but it was mostly because of a server, whom I could tell was new. Other than that, my only complaint is that there is always a horrible wait around lunch time. Now onto the good stuff.... Everything I've ever tasted at Cheddar's is really good, and I've been there quite a few times. Not only is their food really good, but you also get a crapload of it. (Meaning a whole lot) A couple of my favorite things are their potato soup, and their buffalo chicken wrap. Their buffalo chicken wrap is less than $7.00, and it's actually 2 huge wraps cut into 4 ends with fries in the middle. It's an amazing deal. This is a great place to go to with a family. I have a big family and my entire family loves it, including my picky little sisters. It's also decorated really nice with an awesome huge fan, and a big fish tank that kids love to look at. After my last experience, I've decided to never go during lunch hours again, so I'd recommend going there after 3pm at least on the weekends.

Cheddar's may be a chain, but the food is decent, and you get giant portions for dirt cheap. There are lots of other great places I would eat in the area, but my mother-in-law wanted to go here for her birthday, so off we went. The appetizers of spinach dip and queso dip were both good, and I really like the tortilla chips that accompanied each, although they were still a bit greasy from the fryer. My entree was a combo of chicken tenders and hickory smoked ribs, with red beans & rice and fries as my sides. They gave me three giant chicken tenders and a large half slab of ribs, tons of fries, and a small soup cup of the red beans & rice, and it only cost me $12. The ribs were very tender and not over sauced, and the tenders were crispy and fresh. The fries were average, and the red beans & rice were tasty, but a bit too soupy for my liking. The service was nice as well, as our server did a great job the entire time, keeping our drinks filled and getting all orders correct. If you're with someone that wants to eat at Applebee's or somewhere similar, steer them here. The food's better and cheaper too.

The quality here has gone way down. This used to be our favorite place, but I doubt we will be coming back.

My boyfriend and I went to Cheddar's for a late lunch today. He ordered ribs, a loaded baked potato, and fries. I ordered a cheeseburger with fries. I usually rave about Cheddar's burgers but today mine was just so-so. My boyfriend found his ribs pretty tasty though. Their fries are awesome. I thought about having desert but when the waiter showed me the menu there were only 3 options: a monster cookie, a hot fudge sundae, and apple pie ala mode, so I decided to pass. Overall it was an alright lunch, nothing to rave about though.

  • Michael H.

This place is comparable to an Applebee's or Friday's. The food isn't great, but it hits the spot. Everything seemed pretty cheap, so even though the food wasn't amazing, it was all worth it. The menu was pretty varied, but nothing too unique.

I LOVE Cheddar's. I first ate there in Lexington, KY a long time ago, so I was super excited to hear that there was now one in Nky! The place: Very bar and grill style, w/o the wal-mart feel of an applebee's or Friday's. It has a regular dining room as well as a bar area w/ TVs. The food: Standard American w/ some fun additions. Most of their items are made from scratch...soups, pot pies, spinach dip, their chicken tenders are hand breaded...and AWESOME! Some of my favorite things on the menu are...chicken caesar pasta salad, chicken tenders (which I NEVER order anywhere else), ribs, spinach dip, world class bacon cheeseburger, and onion rings. The price: very affordable! A great place to go out w/o spending a ton. The service: sometimes slow when they get really busy (which they do) but always friendly. All in all-Cheddar's is a great restaurant!

nice menu selection, most everything is good. they have the best coffee of anyplace.

This place is just so generic in its food offerings, not to mention there's always a huge wait to be seated. Your service will either be really great or terrible with no in between. Not my favorite...

  • Karina M.

Cheddar's food is not original or particularly daring. It's just cheap, standard chain restaurant fare. While I'm tempted to give it 4 stars based on the fact that I eat here fairly often, am pleased with the modest cost, and always leave stuffed, the truth is that these are the kind of places that are eroding American culinary culture while expanding our waistlines. Enough of my ideological tangent. I've got to recommend the Monte Cristo sandwich for anyone who doesn't mind sweet flavors mingling with the savory. Roast turkey, ham and two cheeses are piled a top two slices of bread, which is then battered and deep fried and served with raspberry preserves. This decadent sandwich is so huge I don't honestly know how one human could eat this in one sitting. Split it with a friend and round out the meal with a salad or soup so you won't have to unbutton your pants in public.

  • Cathy R.

Kind of an Applebee's or Rafferty's feel, we thought all in all it was pretty good. My first impression was that it was too loud, but as tables started to empty, I didn't notice the din so much. We were very pleased with our food: spasagna (cross between a lasagna and baked spaghetti), Key West chicken & shrimp, and the buffalo chicken wrap. One of the biggest and best surprises was red beans and rice as a side dish! The waiter suggested half marinara & half Alfredo sauce on the lasagna dish and my son thought that was a great idea. My buffalo chicken wrap was actually two full sized wraps cut into four smaller pieces. Easily twice as much food as necessary. The environment is just average. The service was good, although we had to wait for our check and for drink refills. The prices are very reasonable given the generous servings.

Great place, and for Californians, a great value. Burgers were satisfying, portions large, and waitstaff charming. Would highly recommend.

Cheddar's is one of the best for families on a budget. Great food and large portions for a good value! They have a large waiting area and a bar, which become crowded due to popularity. From drinks to appetizers to entrees and dessert, you will not go wrong with Cheddar's. A little piece of advice: You must try the cookie monster, a large chocolate chip cookie(baked fresh)with ice cream and chocolate syrup on top! The only way to do this is to split your meal. They give you plenty of food for two to share and that way you can make it to the dessert! Enjoy.

Let's get two things out of the way right up front: yes, it's a chain, and no, there's nothing particularly innovative about their food. So why do I love this place so much? Because of the absolutely audaciously huge portions you get for the tiny, tiny price. The Monte Cristo sandwich, which at Cheddar's is basically a ham sandwich wrapped in a fried donut with raspberry sauce, is downright obscene. It's the size of your head. My husband and I once split one and couldn't even finish THAT! Yeah, yeah, we're all too fat, and it's irresponsible, yadda, yadda, yadda. We know that. No, you should not eat a giant hand sandwich donut every day. But, good gravy, if you're on a budget, and you want to go out and fill up on guilty pleasures, you absolutely can not do better than Cheddar's.

Family oriented but with a separate, very large, full bar area. I was travel ling alone so I sat at the bar. Very friendly, attentive service there. Menu is reasonably priced with standard American Fare. I recommend that you pay them a visit. I doubt that you will be disappointed.

We were not greeted when we came in. We had to wait a few minutes for someone to come to podium to seat us. Then we were ignored for 20 minutes before keaving. Never came to the table to ask what we would like to drink. We were sat by the kitchen. There was a trail of trash from the table to kitchen and down hallway towards restrooms. Woman's restrooms was overflowing with trash. It was in the sink and all over the floor. We left and went to logans next door. Great service and smiles here!!

I am astonished that this place has 3 1/2 stars. I must order all the wrong things. Nothing has been good. Although, it was not really bad either. Waitstaff always seem to be short. And this is definitely not a place to go for romantic date. Much too loud.

This was our 1st time at Cheddar's and there was nothing memorable to make me want to come back. In the interest of full disclosure I am currently have some problems with my teeth and can't chew alot but I ordered the Chicken Tortilla soup and Cheddar French fries. I sent the soup back because there was no chicken in it. The cheddar fries were loaded with cheese but it wasn't melted:/ The prices seemed ok and our waitress was ok as well.

Good food and didn't break the bank. They give you lots of food and we leave with a meal for the next day! ;-) oh stay away from the grilled fish Taco's unless you like soggy tortillas.

  • Ina K.

Every time I come here I get the bourbon glazed salmon. It's the best thing I've had here. Usually for appetizer I get the spinach dip, which is also very yummy. Service is usually friendly, but sometimes can be a bit slow. You can't beat the prices and their cookie dessert is the bomb!

Food is competitively priced. Quality is so so. Was served brown tinged lemons for water garnish and service was sub par. Overall a bit of a mixed bag.

I've visited this location several times for lunch. I work nearby and used to bring customers here, but due to the slowwwww service, I've quit mentioning it. They're typically not crowded, but somehow manage to take an ungodly amount of time to bring food out. During one lunch, a co-worker and I both ordered a chicken tender salad. The salads took forty minutes to come out of the kitchen. Service has been hit or miss. Multiple times I've had servers that have complained about their own job.

The atmosphere in Cheddar's was pretty nice - I enjoyed looking at some of the neat features like a fan made with these giant straw-like blades. The kids enjoyed checking out the aquarium that held a variety of fish. There are a number of TVs for those wanting to watch whatever the big game is. Bathrooms were clean, and there was plentiful parking. Food-wise, the menu is quite large. Based on reactions from those in my group, I'd say the favorites were certainly any of the comfort foods or Southern favorites, like the chicken and waffles. (Basically, everyone who got something fried enjoyed their dish - ha!). Those who tried lighter dishes (soup, salad) were not as wow'ed. So if you're in the mood for some comfort food, this might be a good place to check out. I was surprised and impressed to find that they have a nicely-sized gluten free menu available upon request. Service was only so-so. On one hand, when a side dish came out incorrectly, our server was quick to get the correct one out. But then when we were waiting on to-go boxes and the check, we had to call her over from the nearby TV. Don't get me wrong - it's one thing to glance at the TV and check the score. It's another to actually watch the game when you've got customers waiting. Overall, I would say this is a decent option.

Having heard many good things about cheddars , I was excited to check it out this afternoon. My son , husband and I were greeted coldly by the host who clearly did not want to be there. Our waitress was either overwhelmed or uninterested in us and our dining experience. Hoping for good food at this point. My Cajun pasta was cold and had no sausage as stated in the menu. Mac-n-cheese was the worst Ive had ( and cold) I will say my son had a good ribeye for a good price. Waitress dropped check off and did not offer dessert. ( I was planning on ordering) I will try cheddars again. But, NOT AT THIS LOCATION!

My second time here at Cheddars just different location.. this time tried the Hawaiian chicken sandwich it was awesome. Service was very good and we were seated right away. My husband had the shrimp and he said he would also recommend it to others. We did the onion ring appetizer. . Yummy. .. we will definitely stop again on more road trips.

This is a pretty good chain restaurant. Prices were decent, especially the kids menu prices. The food was okay. Our pasta dishes were light on sauce and the steak and shrimp combo was average at best. The two highlights of the meal were the spinach dip and the fruit & yogurt side dish. Both delicious. Our server was extremely friendly and helpful. The restaurant itself is very loud. Which was good since we had children with us, difficult for conversation though.

We usually have a good experience at Cheddars but the last time we were there it was not a very good experience - We were seated in a back dining room at first we were the only couple back there ,well you would think we would get our food in a timely manner but after more people were seated we were swept under the rug people were eating and paying their tab before we received our food after 40 or so my wife said her steak wasn't hot and my rack of ribs were warm -the server didn't even offer dessert and she picked up that we were not happy ,she actually forgot our food it was sitting in the kitchen awhile we got a slight sorry , she started out as a good server but I was not thrilled with the end result ( If someone from Cheddars reads this review ) I also posted on Cheddars web site have not heard anything yet and the was mid March ( email me at jdhornback@zoomtown.com )

Others have summed up this place well - its a decent chain restaurant with a pleasant decor, pretty good food and prices better than the competition. We had the Chicken Pot Pie and the New Orleans Pasta. Both were quite good; the Pot Pie comes with a good salad. One item deserves mention: in their up-sell pitch, our server, Steph, casually asked my wife to choose "a salad or one side". She didn't mention that these are options at extra cost (usually $2 each). A little more openness is called for. Other than that, its a good option for dinner in an area crowded with many options. Note that there is no open WiFi here.

Chicken and waffles was much to be desired. Chicken was good waffle was just a frozen eggo more or less. Husband had the cabin chicken and shrimp pasta and it was excellent. Will be back!!!

The prices and portions are always reasonable! The spinach dip is my favorite appetizer and the broccoli casserole (which is something I'm usually leery of eating at a restaurant) takes just as good as one that was homemade.

  • Louise D.

I didn't really like the atmosphere of this place. It feels so chain like (I'm guessing it is...) But I did like their monte carlo sandwich which is what we came for. Such a greasy, yummy, sugary sandwich was never tasted by me before. They give you some jam with it to make it even worse. Definitely a calorie bomb but sometimes that's just what you need! Annoying waiter who kept coming over every 2 minutes to ask if everything was ok. I don't like that at all... It kind of stopped the conversation I was trying to have with my friend. But I'll be back... whenever I crave that monte carlo sandwich. Yep.

  • Michael R.

I am really only rewarding two stars because our wait staff was excellent. We ordered the Mozzarella Cheesesticks as an appetizer. They were not entirely cooked, the sauces were COLD. My wife ordered a Montecristo and it arrived cold with cold fries. They heated it up, but let's face reality that microwaved food is subpar for the cost. I had the ribs and fries and while it was warm on arrival the ribs were fatty and VERY VERY salty. I will not be returning, Cheddars as a chain used to justify their cost with quality, this meal left us wishing we had spent our money at a fast food spot.

  • Mike L.

I got the ribeye steak.. It was done exactly how I wanted it. There were no extra seasonings on it just good steak flavor.. Now I'm a steak man but the sides made this dish.. Mashed potatoes and corn were very good. The wife got the lemon pepper chicken.. She wasn't as pleased with it saying it didn't have much flavor and kind of dry. She also got the cole slaw and broccoli and she was very happy with those. Our waiter was nice (sorry I forgot his name). Chedders is worth a try!

The best part of this experience was spending it with friends. And the waitress did a super job. I had the Key West Chicken & Shrimp. It was ok. They do have a GREAT cup of coffee -- douwe-egberts.com

Alright so my wife and I checked out Cheddar's and it wasn't as good as I thought it was. I will say it is really nice and the waiters try and be helpful and professional but it kinda comes off as annoying. The Chicken Fried Steak was horrible... I just wanted a country fried steak and the waiter warned me about the Pork one being pretty bad... but in the end I should have tried That one... lol... chicken one wasn't too good either. My wife got some kind of sandwich and loved it. May have to update this later after I try it again..., but for now... Just an ok place. Our waiter was very antsy and seemed to be pacing and just kept kinda staring at us... odd fellow
