Have been here many times. Service gets progressively worse. On our last trip we saw the waiter once when he took our order and and once when i had to run him down to get the bill. They left off one of the sides for one person in the party. Let the person delivering the food know and he just blew it off. Had to go to the kitchen door to get it. Like the food, decor is nice, 75% of the wait staff are really personable and due a great job. Unfortunately, we were so fed up we probably won't go back a gain.

The BEST Mexican in Hardin County! Love the food and the prices...you will too! The chips and salsa are awesome. My personal favorite is the Pollo San Juan - rice, chicken, cheese and vegetables - awesome! We go there on a very regular basis. I and several of my friends would highly recommend this Mexican Food if you are in the area!!

Meh, ate here once on someones recommendation. I learned that someone had a terrible taste in food and loves mayonnaise on everything. I never ate here again.

Food had no taste not even the salsa. Rice & Beans were served cold. I have had better food at Taco Bell & I eat out 6 nights a week as I travel all over the south for my job. I had the mixed fajhatis.

I have eaten here several times and overall the food is great! I am not a huge fan of their chips and salsa but for the price it's pretty awesome! I prefer thin freshly made chips and theirs tend to be on the thicker side which is fine but I can get normal tortilla chips at the grocery store. I have no complaints and will be back again in the future.

I've never been to a mexican restaurant that had GROUND BEEF substitute CARNE ASADA. That's just being cheap, or maybe this is just me being from Los Angeles, C.A. and being use to authentic Mexican food. If I wanted ground beef I could've just gine to Taco Bell. I recommend Los NOPALES, great service and food. I gave this a 2 star because the beer is cheap.

Great pico de gallo! It's really fresh and flavorful. I order a side every time I am there; it's great on everything. My only complaint is the 'birthday surprise' that seems to happen every time we're there. It is WAY too loud and I, personally, would never again go out with anyone who allowed the staff to smoosh whipped cream on my face.

We just moved to the area and have been trying Mexican restaurants to find our favorite. So far this is it! The salsa was very good and tasted fresh made. I ordered the Especial Dinner to get a sampling of different things and was very pleased. The refried beans & rice were both very flavorful and what you would expect. My meal included a taco, tostado, relleno, enchilada and a tamale. They were all very good and a TON of food for the price. Definitely could be shared with 2 people.

This place is no Daniel's Little Mexico, but it will get the job done, since Daniel's Little Mexico couldn't stay in business consistently...

The main reason why I'm a fan is the chips and salsa. The chips were good alone or with the salsa. The salsa was sweet with a nice bite that's not overpowering. If anything I was afraid that I was going to eat all the chips and salsa before my food came. I ordered a beef chimichanga. Although it was good the two disappointing things about: 1)The size, 2)not shredded beef Although the diced beef was tender and moist it just doesn't have quite that appealing taste that a shredded beef filled chimichanga offers. The plate came with rice, beans, fresh pico de gallo, guacamole, a white cream sauce over the item. The beans and rice were tasty. I'd go again and probably try something a little different. The main reason I went was because I had a 15% off coupon. You could definitely tell this place had regulars. That was a good sign. Still no horchata. When I asked why they didn't serve it I was told people don't ask for it. I then asked, how do they not know to ask if you don't serve it and teach those who don't know about it what they're missing.

This place is effing creepy. The staff came across as awkward and weird when I visited with several young girls on my own. My other visits weren't any more positively memorable. There was nothing special about what they were serving. The restaurant itself is reminiscent of K-mart restaurant, circa 1982: the booths weren't even screwed down. The ambiance is strip mall g*d-awful. Pretty sure it's owned by the same guy who has several Mexirican restaurants in Etown / Radcliff...so, all of you who say that the free chips and salsa are the best in the area...well...you're out of your damn minds. They're the same thing, If they source their food anywhere but Sysco, I will eat my hat. Without salsa,

It's cheap good Mexican. They give you a lot of chips and salsa and the margaritas are cheap! I ordered the seafood tropicana. My wife ordered the cheese enchiladas. Our portions were huge. They didn't skimp on the shrimp. I recommend this place.

I wanted to try this place since the other 4 Mexican restaurants in town are all owned by the same guy. Food was tasty, but man do you get a lot of food. They had to wheel my family out and two kids meals and 2 entrees plus drinks came out to 32 bucks!

Great food, great prices. If you like it hot, ask for some tomitio sauce instead of the regular salsa with your complimentary nacho chips. I could eat this stuff by the gallon! Why folks come to town just to eat at a chain restaurant is beyond me, especially when places like this are out there and so yummy.

Service was horrible....non existent. When we asked to talk to a manager we were told he wasn't there. Our waiter never came to our table after taking our order. We had to hunt him down for our check. He told us they were "busy" and someone was on break. That has nothing to do with not coming to our table at least once or bringing our check. Try another Mexican restaurant instead!

There are quite a few mexican restaraunts in the area, but El Tapatio is currently my family's favorite. Common mexican dishes served in good sized portions and at good prices with short wait times. What makes us come back though is the people who work there. You are never hassled to hurry up when it is busy and they always take their time to make sure your order is right. Friendly toward picky eaters so if you want something plain they are happy to oblige. Very family friendly environment you will typically see a lot of children there, never a problem getting a booster seat or a high chair. Diaper changing table is located only in womens rest room but one rest room is better than none. Beer and alcohilc drinks are available and several tv's are scattered through out the restaraunt, not so bad though that you feel like your in a bar. If you have never dined here, I definitely recommend dining here at least once.

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
