Good food, good price, good service. If you should be in the area give it a shot. Try the Gyro, tasty.

Tried Giuseppe's for the first time tonight. A friend had recommended it. Excellent pizza!! The Terrace Topper was particularly good. Sorta like a BBQ chicken pizza, but more interesting and with more zing than others I've had elsewhere. Pretty impressive craft beer list for a pizzeria, too. But every bit as impressive was the friendly staff and the overall neighborhood look and feel of the place. Just a really nice little place from top to bottom.

My two kids and I ate dinner here on a Friday night -- the service was good, but the quality of the pizza ingredients was pretty low. We ordered the fried mac n' cheese for an appetizer -- it was very good -- but I was very disappointed in the pizza! The cheese was very low quality -- the type that just tastes like white American cheese melted over those other so-so ingredients. The kids liked the pizza, but I guess they (ages 11 + 14) pretty much like any hot, cheesy pizza. The more discerning pizza eater, would definitely prefer somewhere else, but that is probably why it is less expensive here than a place like Godfather's.

Under new ownership that doesn't know how to run a pizza shop. I ordered for delivery and 1.5 hrs later no food. I called them to ask where my food was just to be told that they don't have time frames on delivery , and that it would be another 25 mins until my food was ready. At that time I drove to them to find my pizza wasn't even made yet and the order was wrong. No apologies were given and no attempt to make things right. I am done with this headache.

I was not that impressed with my experience at Giuseppe's. When you walk in, the place is a bit in the small side (and it's a tad "divey"), but I also found that it needed more attention to detail with regards to cleaning. My table clearly had remnants from the prior patrons, and I would guess that I was the first customer at that table since I got there at 11:30 before the lunch crowd. My wife and I ordered the Dirty Don and the Covington's Finest pizza. Let me start with the positive. The pizza was ok, but not spectacular, which surprised me after reading the rave reviews on Yelp and seeing that they had won an award in a Cincinnati publication for being one if the area's best. The toppings were fine - the veggies were fresh (mushrooms, peppers, and onions) and the pepperoni and Italian sausage tasted average. Where I was left a bit lacking was in the sauce and the dough. It wasn't that either were bad, it's just that both lacked that "special something" to make it memorable. At least it was good enough to eat and be satisfied with. As for the Dirty Don - this item is an entirely different experience. The "meat" on the sandwich is akin to something I would have seen in a school cafeteria back in high school called Salisbury steak. It was thick, rubbery, and tasted bland. My wife and I couldn't eat it. Given there was really nothing technically wrong with it, we decided just to make do with what we had already ordered and not send it back or make a big fuss over it. Service was good. Our gal was stretched thin and was handling all the tables at once, but she seemed more than adept at controlling what was going in - she was pleasant as well. I'm all for supporting the local guy, and I hope people continue to do so, but I'm probably not going out of my way to visit again.

Come here several times. Great atmosphere for locals with the "Covington" theme. Great pizza, hoagies, the "dirty cheese" is genius! Greek salad was surprisingly good. And excellent service. Overall great dining experience!

Got carry out here a few months ago. Very meh. Interior looked very 70's. The pizza was good, but for what we got, it was pretty expensive compared to other places in the area.

The loaded fries are the best fries around! This place is my favorite place to go and I'm becoming a regular! The staff is nice and the food is even better! I would recommend this place to anyone.

I got an italian hoagie one day for a quick lunch. This place isn't a fine dining establishment. However, if you want a hearty hoagie, chips, a fresh pickle and an ice cold coke, you found you match. It was delicious! I was full after one half of my sandwich but still ate the other half because it was just too good. I recommend the place! Take your kids, your family or stop by with a friend and get a quick, yummy bite. Their menu is pretty extensive.

My husband and I were just driving by this place and decided to give it a try. I'm really glad we did! They have pizza, hoagies, sandwiches, salads, and fries and other various sides. Their variety of hoagies and sandwiches is pretty impressive, they have 26 to choose from to be exact & they all have pretty cool/goofy names. My husband had "The Dirty Don," which was a traditional hoagy with the provolone cheese cooked, he chose to add onions pickles & banana peppers which are available upon request. It was really good. I had the "Greek Imposter" which was a basic gyro, with gyro meat, lettuce, tomato, onion, & tzatziki sauce. It wasn't as good as it would have been at a Greek restaurant of course... but it was still pretty good. We also each had a side of fries. The fries cost 1.99, and we could have easily shared one order because they gave us A LOT! They're just plain average fries, but I like fries and have no complaints. The sandwiches were 5 something each. For the two sandwiches, two sides of fries, and my mountain dew it was like 17.00. Not bad at all. I also really like that they bring the drinks out in large to go cups. I will definitely be going back sometime in the near future to try their pizza. They have all the regular toppings to choose from and some not so regular toppings as well like gyro meat! They also have some interesting specialty pizzas that I would love to check out like their bacon cheeseburger pizza! If it's as good as it sounds, I may need to come back and update my rating. Another thing I like about this place is that it's decorated to celebrate the city of Covington, if that makes sense? They have framed pictures of different areas of Covington like Main Strausse, Latonia & Peaselburg, and a lot of their menu items have Covington themed names. They also have this deal called the Legend of the Drunken Fireman, where if you (one person) eat this giant pizza in less than 59 minutes you get it for free & win a t-shirt. it's a 20 inch pizza with 20 toppings and it's 7 pounds. You have to call ahead to order it If you can't eat it in 59 minutes or less it's 50.00. That seems insane to me and I don't think anyone would be able to do it... but it's still pretty cool that they have something like this available to try. The waitress was really nice as well. Overall I really like this place. I'll definitely go back, and I'd definitely recommend it to anyone.

I probably visit this restaurant more than any other in Greater Cincinnati. Great food at affordable prices, and a VERY deep seeded local community feel. I really like it. As a previous reviewer mentioned, their new menu has like 26 hoagy/sandwich choices. I order a Dirty Mama at least twice a week, usually more. This is literally my local go to place when I want to grab a bite close to home or work. I seriously think I may visit way too often. Any sandwich I've tried has been a winner.. My favorite, hands down, is Dirty Mama. Which is the Mama Mia done dirty.. You can pretty much order any sandwich with cheese, Dirty. --From the menu: We take our famous steak hoagie and brown the mozzarella provolone blend cheese on the side of the pan, then scoop it up and put it back on top. It may sound odd, but YUM! Get Dirty.. I'm not a big bread person. It's not usually something I would mention or comment on, but these guys just take the care and time to get it right. Just the right amount of garlic and butter to make you lick your fingers, browned just perfect. Sometimes it's the little things, I guess.. And any sandwich goes perfect with their Greek Fries - Crinkle cuts done nice and crispy with lemon pepper and tzatziki sauce for dipping. I personally recommend that you add feta cheese, also. Mmmm. Oh yeah, they have really good pizza too. The Mainstrasse Monster (all pizzas have community names of some sort) rounds out a typical meat pizza (Pepperoni, sausage, ham) with Gyro Meat.. Yeah, it's pretty tasty. I don't think they mound the toppings on, but they add enough, in the right proportions. And again, the crust is done just right, chewy, crispy, and the right amount of garlic butter to keep you licking your fingers. The deep sense of community hits you immediately as you look around. The have different images of Covington Community signs on the dining room walls, and they recently added a large mural above the kitchen window with something like caricatures of local Covington Landmarks, painted by a local Covington artist.. After that, they added a new menu with all the new sandwiches.. I'm starting to make my way through. They are all great, but Dirty Mama remains my favorite. And last, but not least.. They have started adding different craft beers to the menu, but you pretty much have to be there and looking at the chalk board to find out what is available. I think it's obvious that I highly recommend this place. It's time for you to go check them out for yourself...

Finally! A wonderful pizza place! I've been so disappointed with the pizza in the Cincinnati area since I moved here six months ago, so as I read the reviews and looked at the menu for Guiseppe's, I was pretty excited to try it. I finally got the chance last night after my wife and two of our friends were coming back from an event. It was kind of late when we got in, and I felt bad since I thought they closed an hour later than they did, but the service was still fast and friendly, and we did manage to get out of there 20 minutes before closing. I had the Helentown Hottie (pepperoni, Italian sausage, red pepper, and jalapenos) and was extremely pleased with it. It wasn't loaded with toppings, but the topping to bite ratio was good. The jalapenos were spicy, and although that sounds silly to say, I've been to so many places where the jalapenos had no heat. Not the case here! The crust was thinner than I usually prefer, but still delicious, and there wasn't too much sauce, which I appreciate, as I'm not big on sauce. I'll definitely be back to try another pizza!

Nice clean place and the owner tries hard to make it a great experience. Pizza was below average - crust was lackluster and best described as old dough, sauce was too sweet like Ragu, and mozzarella was poor quality. There was lots of cheese, but it does not make up for all the other elements not being good. Our four kids who will eat just about any pizza, all hated it. The "steak" in the hoagie was horrible! It tasted like a fake piece of processed Salisbury steak patty from a bad TV dinner. Couldn't even finish it, and I eat anything. The server also asked us to pass the plates to her so she wouldn't have to walk around the table and do it herself. Having been a waiter for 8 years, this is unacceptable. She was snarky about it, too. We stopped at this place based on Yelp reviews and felt like we had to share our opinion. We are also rating two other Yelp recommended places with 5 stars, so we aren't negative Nellys.

If there was one word to describe this place it would be Yummy. The location is small, but there is plenty of seating, since most of their business is delivery. The owner is super nice, and the pizza is generally amazing, and adventurous. We even asked him to make us a gyro style pizza. Pizza dough and tzatziki sauce, topped with Gyro meat, Feta Cheese, Tomato's etc. The appetizers are fun and tasty, and this has very quickly become one of our favorite pizza parlors!

Excellent pizza (Terrace Topper, especially). VERY friendly staff. Just a nice, clean, fun atmosphere kind of neighborhood pizzeria. Craft beers are $2.50 each (yeah, baby!). Free parking. If you do not live in the area, trust me. Take a short drive to Guiseppe's. You won't be disappointed.

The pizza is just okay. But, where Guiseppe's really shines are the hoagys. They have some of the best hoagys around! Try the Dirty Don and you will not be disappointed.

The store itself is in a strip mall and looks small from the outside. Inside however, it seats a fair amount. Giuseppe's is nothing fancy to look at, but the food was surprisingly good. We started off with the Mac and Cheese bites. They were ok, but you could tell they didn't hand make them. Frozen bites that were just thrown in a fryer to warm up, I think. They lacked the gooey factor I wanted. The rest of the meal was great. I ordered the Hot Sicilian (hot and dirty). The bread was garlicy and full of flavor. There were plenty of delicious toppings and by getting it "dirty" they flat topped the cheese that gave it all a crispy deliciousness. I would come back for this in a heartbeat. I can't wait to try their other sandwiches. Lauren ordered a pizza with bacon, pineapple, and banana peppers. They were very liberal with the toppings. The cheese ratio was perfect. You know it is good when the first bite you get that long string of cheese that pulls away from the pizza. Lauren said it was one of the best she has had. I think this place has massive potential if they would just staff better. Our poor waitress was running her butt off. She was the only waitress, so she had all the tables; on top of being the sole person to answer the phone and take delivery orders. That phone never stopped ringing. I felt so bad for her since she never got the chance to check on any of her tables. It clearly was not her fault as the delivery phone never ever stopped ringing. She was nice, upbeat, and apologized to everyone; but some customers weren't as forgiving. They had three people in the kitchen and a busboy. Not once did anyone come to her aid. Get more help and keep your waitress off the delivery phone and this place will do well. I'm interested to see how it is on another visit.

First time dining in. Why have I never been here before?! Always ordered delivery but I love the homey atmosphere and the service was great!! Perfect for a business lunch. By the way, the food is always phenomenal. Whether you go for the pizza (amazing crust) or the hoagie (try it "dirty" style with pan melted cheese) with hot, fresh fries, you will not be disappointed.

In Covington, where there's a pizza place on every corner, Giuseppe's is no doubt one of the best. Fresh ingredients, great flavor, much much better than a pizza chain. Hidden in a small shopping center in S Covington, it's pretty easy to miss driving by. All the pizzas are named after neighborhoods/streets in Covington... Very local! I've never had anything I don't like. Tried a couple specialty pizzas and make your own. Love the crust... They paint garlic butter around it! Breadsticks are also a yummy add on. Salads are blah, nothing special, but I wouldn't go there for a salad so no surprise there! Really need to try the hoagies... the pictures from other Yelpers are great.

UPDATE: We just got pizza from these guys last night: good news! Fresh mushrooms are now being served! That is a major improvement. Two things i'd like to see: Crust is a little dry (and seems that it's pre-made) - fresh would be a major improvement. Second, the sauce is pretty much just tomato sauce...a little spice would be nice. I'll return to see what else changes (It helps that I can walk to this place from my house...)

Great pizza and great service! The owner was super nice and hospitable. They also had a great non-greasy pizza. We got a garden-type veggie pizza. The crust was delicious too. They had plenty of high chairs for our daughter. My only complaint would be that they use non-recyclable styrofoam cups instead of reusable washable cups. Sorry! I like the environment. :)

Pizza

Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.

Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.

Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
