Somewhat of a regular customer of Yolo's until today. Tried to call in my order and was on hold till I got there 13 minutes later. When I arrived, I was met with an attitude rather than an apology. "I got busy" was her excuse. When I explained that it was the second time this happened, her reply was "what can I get you" with an attitude. I didn't expect compensation, maybe just a sincere apology. Not sure if I will return... They have great burgers. But then again, so do a lot of other burger places in WichIta.

Cleanliness 4 Service 5 Food 5 Overall 5 Stopped by purely due to the name after some friends and I were looking for a place to eat on Yelp when we were visiting friends in Wichita. We saw there was a burger called the YOLO stack and decided this was the place for lunch. The restaurant is in an old Sonic that looks to have moved down the street not to far. There is some inside dinning with one table outside. It looks and feels like a small burger place. The food cost-wise is more expensive than what a few of the pictures here on Yelp show. I'm assuming this is because the grill re-opened in December 2014. We weren't told why or for how long it was closed, but just found out it re-opened, thus leading me to think this is why the menu changed. But the food was great. The YOLO Stack is amazing! The patty by itself was very tasty. It had a burger patty, a sausage like link, bacon, pulled pork, onion rings, BBQ sauce, lettuce and tomato. Over all the burger was great, they even toast their buns which add even more flavor. My only two minor problems were that you couldn't get much of the pulled pork taste due to the flavors of the bacon, link, and onion rings, and that there wasn't enough BBQ sauce. However if you order a side of the sauce they seem to give you more. Overall a great place to eat and give a try. They have alot of options and is great all around!

Have been wanting to check this place out for a while now. Got the brunch burger with an egg on it. Man what a burger, served with tomato, lettuce, pickles, onion with a fried egg on it. The beef Pattie was hand formed fresh meat, not a frozen processed Pattie. All I can say about it is it was a Great Burger.. The fries came in a large basket. They were not cooked crispy but were fully cooked. I'm sure if I had asked for them chrispy they would have been. My final word would be I can't wait to go back and try more of the great menu, I will be a regular here... I also love the name,YOLO, You Only Live Once...

Awesome food! I came here because I'm in Wichita for work. It looks like an old Sonic from the outside, but there are seats and booths inside. The staff is very nice, and I think the fries are hand cut. They were VERY good. The burgers are cooked over an actual open flame - wonderful flavor! I had the west Burger with bacon and avocado...lots of flavors to choose from! Give it a try!

The only place we have been able to find mountain oysters... or as they call them prairie oysters. They were fantastic! Awesome french fries and amazing burgers. We will definitely be back!

#YOLO: You. Only. Live. Once! And we 'bout it every day. There's a reason the first result Google returns is an Urban Dictionary entry that defines the acronym as "the dumbass's excuse for something stupid that they did. Also one of the most annoying abbreviations ever." It's not an association any business would want to be associated with, and had the owners taken even the slightest bit of research into the origins of the phrase, they might have thought twice about stringing the vapid expression on top of their renovated Sonic. It's actually a bit surprising given the care that seemed to go into everything else. Having visited the space when it used to belong to the short-lived Sloppy Joe's venture, the amount of proper fixing-upping that went into the #YOLO drive-in was significant, adding a proper kitchen, cleaning the floor, and painting the walls. The cast iron grill does great service to the burger, providing a slightly more complex flavor than the griddle that dominates most other burgers around here. Even if it comes at the expense of a good crust, the burger was straight-up 80/20, cooked to leave just a little bit of pink in middle, making for a significantly juicy burger. The cheese of this #YOLO burger was well-melted and the bacon was nice and crispy, as I like it. What originally excited me about #YOLO is that they make their own buns - something that you might not expect from a place in these kind of digs. The bread is certainly fresh, and holds up reasonably well to the plentiful juices of the burger (the confident toasting of the bun helps here) but doesn't really contribute much that couldn't be found by a nice brioche or kaiser bun from any local bread proveyor. As it is, the dough could have used a little salt to emphasize the flavors. Fries were thin cut, not particularly crispy, but the basket in which they were served had a lot of wax paper to wick away some of the oil. Plus, they were seasoned! Seasoned with table salt, which was a little heavy-handed, but better than nothing. As a burger place, #YOLO Grill is a pretty modern take on the fast casual burger restaurant that is dominated by old timers around here. With care given to the patty, bread, and toppings, it's a steal for less than $5, and worth a visit despite the ridiculous name.

My wife and I enjoyed our burgers. They were good sizes and very juicy. I would recommend ordering only one order of fries as it's enough to share between two people. We will definitely be back again.

Dinner tonight for the family. Really tasty burgers, hot-dogs and fries. Everybody enjoyed their meal. The restaurant was clean, service prompt, and very tasty. We had a Western Burger, Happy Trails, Grilled Cheese, and Hot Dog. Lots of good flavors and perfectly cooked burgers. Plus a family of four ate for under $25. We'll be back again soon.

Yolo Grill has reopened and after so much fan fare from my husband about how good the food was here I had to finally taste test for myself. I like hamburgers, don't get me wrong, but I thought it will be just another hamburger joint...no big deal. Boy, was I wrong! I ordered the hot one with jalapeños and it came out with the toasted bun and grilled fresh jalapeños, so I was already impressed before I took the first bite! Yum actually came out of my throat after every bite, it was very hard to control because this burger was so good! My husband saw a little pink in the middle of my burger and his eyes got big because I never eat anything like that ever! I saw his reaction and said I didn't care it was so good! The fries are excellent also, we always order them extra krispy at places like this. I can't wait to return to eat another one of these tasty creations! They have longer hours now so check them out since they have reopened!

Until the story in the Eagle we had never heard of the 'YOLO' Grill. We greated by a very friendly and helpful young man. It was our first visit and he took the time to go through the selections one by one so we knew exactly what we were ordering. My husband opted for the California burger and I selected the Mushwiss. Seating is minimal so you may end up having to carry out your meal. We managed to get a table shortly before our food was ready. YUMMY!! I haven't enjoyed a burger that much on a long time. My husband loves fried okra and it was ample. The onion rings were crisp, hot and sweet. I do like them a little thicker and before I knew it our server brought MORE cut, breaded and cooked more to my personal taste. WOW! What a surprise! We left happy and well sated. As for the name... so what? A rose by any other name wouldn't taste this good. Thank you to the servers and cooks. We will be back!

It was a really cool place, and I've heard nothing but good things about this place so I decided to try it. I ordered just a regular cheeseburger and fries. It was okay. By no means was there anything wrong with it, but I felt like there wasn't anything special about it. Along with my mom it was about $14. For that price I honestly rather go somewhere else. The french fries were a little greasy and under done, and the burger tasted like something my dad could have cooked at home. I will probably try this place again though. Good food, for the most part, I would recommend this to other people.

I must have driven by YOLO Grill a dozen times before I actually stopped in. The name made me laugh. I thought it might be a joke. It wasn't until I actually tried some of their food that I realized what the name is all about. I ordered the California burger (bacon and avocado) with fries. It was delicious. The bread was nicely toasted. The toppings were fresh. The patty was well seasoned. The burger was full of flavor, not greasy, and actually seemed healthy compared to the other burger joints in town. The fries were slightly less crispy than I wanted, but they tasted fresh and were enjoyable. The burger definitely stole the show. Despite the 1/3lb patty, fries and pop I had consumed, I didn't feel even remotely sluggish after eating the meal, which is not something I can say after eating at other greasier burger joints. On top of all that the price is roughly what you'd pay for a value meal at a fast food place. How is this place not super busy 24/7??? I think the location is what hurts this business. It's located on West Street in a renovated building that once housed a Sonic. If YOLO Grill were located in the Delano district, downtown, or perhaps near New Market Square they would be raking in the cash as they deserve. I highly recommend YOLO Grill if you're in the mood for a burger. Do yourself a favor and skip your regular fast food place and go to YOLO Grill instead.

The best burgers in town! Cooked perfectly! Their fries need a little help though. If you go be prepared to wait a bit as everything is made fresh. I wish they would have some tables outside. They have the perfect layout for it.

Freaking amazing!!!!!!! All bread is made from scratch. Chicken, fish and onion rings are fresh, hand breaded and made to order. Burgers are hand formed and OUT OF THIS WORLD GOOD. Rubens are made with corned beef brined in house for seven days, homemade sour kraut, homemade thousand island dressing and fresh homemade rye bread. Fresh homemade cinnamon rolls sold daily. The best food around!! I am super picky. Most food just doesn't taste very good to me. I've been to YOLO three times this week!! Family ran and owned. It doesn't get much better than this.

Went on a recommendation. Really tasty Rueben, fresh cut fries yummy. My husband had a Cheeseburger, which was good but small. The owner said that all burgers are 1/3 lbs but will make doubles if ordered. Nice family owned business. Building I believe is the OLD sonic, it's bright green and sits on the West side of the street. The also provide 10% discount for Police, Fire, EMS, Teachers with proper ID. Give them a try!

Went with the wife for lunch today. She had a cheeseburger and fries. I had the cindy burger with onion rings. The cindy has a fried egg on it. That's always a treat. Food was excellent. It's menu items like that that give meaning to the name of the place. Keep it up. I will definitely be back.

We have eaten lunch and dinner at YOLO. With minimal seating, getting a table is iffy, but we lucked out both times, and offered seats at our table to others who were waiting for their meals. The new owners of this spot have done a great job of cleaning it up, and yet leaving it still a burger joint in the true sense of the word. The food is very good. The Reuben, while not a classic, NY deli reuben, was excellent. The meat isn't piled high, opting instead for quality, fresh-made, moist goodness. The stacked hamburger is truly sized for a teenage male appetite. While it looked tasty, I was glad to not have been the person who had to try to do it justice. Hopefully, this joint will be around for a long time.
