I found a new place for BBQ! As a Kansas City transplant I've been looking for a place that stacks up to the barbecue served there. Awesome ribs, sausage, and they have burnt ends! I thought I would be relegated to only getting burnt ends when I visit the family in KC. The sides were pretty good as well, the baked beans had some nice chunks of meat in them. Potato salad was good, though not a lot different than you'd get anywhere else. French fries were really good. Service was pretty friendly and efficient.

The first time that I went here -- I had a Coupon that had come in the mail. It was buy an Entree and you got a free Salad Bar. I am a HUGE Salad Bar fan, so I was interested in checking out theirs. I had never been there, so I asked to look at the Buffet before placing an order. The Salad Bar had a decent selection of fresh veggies and dressings. But the Coupon clearly stated that I had to order an Entree -- so I ordered off the menu. I ordered the 'Big Brother Bacon Cheeseburger' and I double checked that the burgers came with Mustard and No Mayo, which she confirmed. Fries DO NOT come with the burger and must be ordered separately for an additional $2 dollars. I usually pass on the fries anyway, but had my Husband been there, he LOVES them! I then gave the Server the Coupon for the Salad and she told me to help myself.. After I made my Salad at their Buffet, I decided to order a Long Island Iced Tea. I don't normally eat lunch at places that serve mixed drinks and I decided to try one. They had a Drink Menu at the table and when I got back, I looked it over and was pleasantly surprised to see that it was ONLY $5.50. When my Server passed by I requested one -- she looked a little surprised -- but went and spoke to the Bartender. My Drink arrived at about the same time as my Cheeseburger. The burger was pretty big and I cut it in half. Ate half and took half home.. Without the Coupon, my lunch would have exceeded $20. I decided that I would bring my little Grandson and surprise him with BBQ Buffet. He LOVES BBQ'd food. So about a month later, I took my Grandson to the Zoo in the morning and arrived here about 12:00 pm. We both got the Buffet and I did help him make a small veggie plate and then let him choose his meat. The ribs WERE NOT at the Buffet -- you have to ask the Server to bring you those. I understand that they are costly and people at Buffets tend to be wasteful, but I would have preferred to choose my own. I like the smaller ones with very little fat. I explained to my Grandson to only select what you intend to eat and if you are STILL hungry, then go back. He was painfully aware of the desserts, but those had to wait and IF he finished his lunch he could choose something. He enjoyed his meal and ended up getting a Cobbler and a Cookie. I thought the meats were kind of bland and I had the Server bring me 1 Baby Back and 1 Saint Louis. The Saint Louis was very fatty and I tried cutting around it -- the Baby Back was better, but I found these to bland as well. The Servers are good and the place is clean. It appears to cater to Business people going to lunch. I have never seen it in the evening, but the Bar is pretty PROMINENT so the atmosphere might change at night.

I visited this place around 8:00 pm on a Sunday night. I really just wanted a pulled pork sandwich but decided to order a pound of pulled pork carryout instead. My thought was that I could make a sandwich for myself and one for a friend and have enough left over for the next day. I was disappointed with the quality, quantity once I removed the bread from the container. For 13.99 I received chunks of dried meat somewhat pulled and it didn't look any where near a pound and a tiny cup of bbq sauce. When I am home I go to Joe's Barbeque formerly Oklahoma Joe's where the servings and the quality is superior to what I got on Sunday night. The taste was okay but everything else was disappointing.

My co-worker and I stumbled upon this place looking for dinner on the first night of a business trip. The outward appearance if the place was pretty inviting, so we decided to check it out. The interior atmosphere was pleasant as well, and the staff friendly. I ordered the two-meat combo with Brisket and Chicken. I was served a two meat combo with Brisket and Ham. I didn't send it back as the ham was actually pretty decent, everything was a little cold though. The brisket left a lot to be desired. There was a ton of fat, and the flavor/texture were disappointing. All in all, the food wasn't terrible, the sides were ok, and the meat was edible. If I were back on the east coast, this might pass for barbecue, but I expect more out of this part of the country.

This place was a nice example of Kansas BBQ. The young lady at the take out counter was helpful and let me order way to much food but a hotel microwave made the left overs a great lunch the next day. I are there once and I'm ok to try other area joints.

Every time we go to Kansas we like to try out the local barbecue joints. We saw Two Brothers by our hotel and figured we would give it a shot. None of us were impressed at all. The chicken was dry. The ribs were overly fatty. The brisket was bland. We asked for garlic bread and got wheat toast. One and done.

Not the best BBQ, but not the worst. We showed up at 1:45, just 15 minutes before the end of the buffet. We hurried to fill our plates. The salad bar was impressive and well stocked. I tried all of the meats and some of the sides. --Moist Brisket was okay, but both Briskets lacked the smoke flavor I was looking for. --Sausage was just okay, but my sister did love them. --Pulled Pork was okay, but it being the end of the buffet, a bit dried out. --Ribs were also dried out a bit, but actually quite good. The server asked if there was anything she could bring out before shutting down the buffet, so I asked for ribs. Man, I would have been happy with just those four ribs she brought out. Guess I should have just ordered off the menu. Sides: Scalloped potatoes were good, Mac & Cheese was just standard, chili was good, but dried out.

I don't think there's anyone that can make a compelling argument that foods served in a buffet are better than their non-buffet counterparts (unless you base it upon a purely monetary judgment, in which case my reviews may not be for you) (Indian foods serve as the exception, for reasons I'll mention later). Still, I haven't tried all varieties of buffets. Chinese, certainly. Burger bars aplenty. Italian once in a blue moon. I hadn't tried a barbecue buffet, though, and I found the concept interesting. Barbecue is all about letting meats sit around for a long time, anyway - if you make them available to the public, what damage is done? The one good thing about buffets for me is that I can get the widest sampling of the menu as possible, so here's the long and short of it: MEATS The pulled pork wasn't bad at all, though not as pulled as it should have been, with big old chunks still sitting in the chafing dish. I think the wide distribution of fat kept everything pretty moist. I found the brisket and turkey moist, but with an unpleasant texture, like it was TOO moist, which I know doesn't make sense, even to me, but something was up. The same moistness couldn't be said for the chopped pork, which I found unpleasantly dry. They had sausages... and that's all I have to say about that. SIDES Two Brothers offers both a jambalaya and a chili that incorporates the barbecue, which I liked because I don't see it often, and it works well in a buffet, because - similarly with Indian food - stews don't have to worry about preparation - they could sit there all day and still be plenty good, so long as the temperature remains high. The chili wasn't great by chili standards - seemed more like the baked beans with more meat and tomatoes thrown in - but it was good enough. Speaking of the beans, I enjoyed them, not only because they also had some of their pork thrown in, but also because their house sauces weren't as sweet as other places, and given as that served as the base for the sauce of the beans, I didn't mind them at all. The macaroni and cheese was the same bland buffet-style we've all eaten before. They had pickle spears at the condiment bar, which was awesomely not the boring wrinkle pickle chips all restaurants serve. Mention should be made of the "floor manager" that was watching over the buffet and helping out the customers at the tables, because he was all over that buffet and quick to react to anything anyone wanted, whether it be clearing plates or getting drink refills. This was probably the most well-tended buffet, I've visited, which is certainly not bad at all. And as I was eating a decent peach cobbler with a nicely tender crust, "not bad at all" was something that I think sums up Two Brothers well. I think this is an example of the best product a buffet can produce, though no matter how good it may be, it's still never as good as a comparable meal that's prepared to order.

The service outright sucks. They try to make up for it I suppose by hiring fake boobed bimbos in short shorts. The buffet wasn't that great. The only thing good was the smoked turkey.

Not crazy about any of their sides. Corn (I am from Iowa) not fresh, green beans and fried okra not seasoned, but the smoked turkey...delish! I went back for a second time. Actually we ordered it in twice for our business lunch!

Not at all impressed. People were nice, place was clean but this was no better than Burger King with beer (if you call Bud Light beer) Went in to kill 90 minutes while a real estate agent showed my house. For $12 was supposed to get a burger and a beer. Ordered a Bud light wheat and realizing you had to order then find a seat similar to a standard fast food restaurant I asked if a server came to provide refills or if I had to go up to the cashier to reorder. Cashier said she was the waitress so I had to find her. Burger didn't even come with fries and they didn't have anything except Bud and Bud Light products. I ordered a Bud light wheat because I like import style beers and they brought me a regular Bud Light. It wasn't even the server (cashier?) that delivered the incorrect beer because apparently she wasn't old enough so the manager screwed the pooch. Burger King has better burgers, but I will say the BBQ sauce made it a little better. Damn skippy it should since the wrong beer only cost $3. That means The crappy burger without fries was almost $9. They were pimping the salad bar for $11.99 but the receipt clearly said "Try our salad bar for $8.99". I guess I'm just not impressed. Go someplace else...

Meh is right. Underwhelming. Went for a late lunch. Staff was all sitting at a table eating not paying attention to the only paying customers in the building. No wonder it was empty.

Chose this BBQ place over some others as they served cocktails and beer and the hotel desk recommended it. I was quite dissapointed in the food. Have always heard Kansas City was famous for their BBQ so why not Wichita...right? Not here anyways. Looked over the buffet and it appeared very dried out. They closed the buffett at 8pm and this was 7:30pm so I chose to order off the menu. The brisket was very dry and tasteless and the ribs were very fatty and their sauce was nothing to write home about. The baked beans were like paste. Could probably patch an adobe wall with them. The atmosphere was nice, the wait staff was pleasant and the beer was cold. I would not go back.

Two Brothers was recommended to us and it didn't disappoint. I think we were the only customers inside as we came in at a weird hour (about 3:00), so service was terrific. II tried the extra moist brisket which was recommended by our server, Abby, and it was outstanding. I've never had such a moist piece of brisket, and the en pieces has a great jerky quality to them. The pulled pork was also moist and great. Sauces are served on the side, so you can easily pick the amount and flavor from the four sauces available on the table.

Nothing special to be said about this BBQ place. Fairly typical, and not overly exciting. I got the lunch buffet and found the turkey and chicken rather dry - I guess their slow cooking process just sucks the juice out of the poultry or something. The side dishes were rather bland and there was no originality or anything noteworthy. Pretty blah. Lots of parking and not crowded.

Place was not very good at all. Had the 2 meat plate, brisket and ribs. The brisket was suppose to be extra moist. It was very very dry and looks like it was take. From the buffet line. The plate came out way too fast. Too bad. I was excited for the bbq buffet next time. Lost a first time customer.
