Good food and a lot of variety I barley made it to desert. Friendly people and a lot of room so I didn't have to site to close to anybody else which is good for a quiet dinner. Price wasn't to bad $30 with tip for 2 of us. I could barley breath when I walked out so it was worth it.

Went to this place for a father's day dinner with our family. The food was pretty good. But it was very hot inside the restraurant. I mean it was unbearablely hot while outside temperature was over 96F and no air conditioning was on!! I asked to waitress and the manager to cool the restraurant down but the answer was 'there are no air conditioning for this restraurant". You've got to be kidding!!! Any restraurant must have a/c and heating system for their business. I asked again to cool the restraurant down but the answer was ver rude 'ther is no a/c!" It is hard to believe this restraurant is still in business with no air conditioning during hot summer of Kansas. I am not going to this place again and so are my friends.

This has been an "about average" for Wichita Chinese buffet, but my supper today was horrible. We came for dinner early and the buffet looked a bit less full than it usually does. When I began eating, I realized that everything was tough and dried out as if it had been sitting around since the lunch crowd. For almost $12 pp for dinner, I expect better than 5 hour old leftovers. I was very disappointed.

I expected worse based upon the reviews. But this was a tasty buffet with more options than I typically will find in buffets. Some corners are cut (vegetarian rices and lo meins) but the Mongolian was tasty and quick.

It's a decent place. Lots of tasty food. The hibachi was quick and yummy. It's honestly a lot better than the reviews. Three stars because it was so freakin hot inside. I sometimes sweat when I eat but this one was on them.

Yikes! I'll give this place a 1 Star Review just because it's extremely cheap to eat here, it's a huge place and....because I have to. First off, there is BARELY ANY selections at all! I've been to a couple Chinese buffets, due to family obviously, and this place is REALLY scarce when it comes to the selections. What's the point of going to a buffet if you have nothing to really choose from to eat??? If you only want to eat the normal general tso chicken and stuffed mushrooms go ahead, but other than that there's nothing else for my eyes to feast on when I enter the buffet area. Second, the place is barely air conditioned! We came when it was a piping 100 degrees outside and expected to come here feeling refreshed, but N O P E. They have a couple ceiling fans here and there, but don't expect to feel air conditioned, you'll leave feeling a little sticky yourself! And lastly...the service was not to par at all! They got our drink orders completely wrong and guess what? There was maybe 5 different families in the buffet in total! What would they do if the place was actually busy?? In general, I know I didn't pay for this meal in particular, but I felt like we could've gotten better food and selections at a nearby McDonalds...and that's actually saying something.

I had this waitress chasing me and my little ones demanding a tip! She never served us! She only brought the ticket, I was in shock to see how mad stubborn she was asking for a tip out of the door! My kids didnt understand! We got home and got ill also, throwing up and trips to the bathroom DO NOT waste your money and time, go where people has more decency of asking for the money they earn, I am not giving tips just because she brought me the ticket to my table.

If there's one thing I wanted less than to eat at a Chinese restaurant in Wichita, it was a Chinese buffet. Rarely are buffets a good idea even when they're with a cuisine that's suited to them - e.g. Indian cuisine, which relies on a lot of stewed dishes - so I had no desire to ever visit Chinese Super Buffet. But I got dragged here as part of a work function, so here we are. The title "Super Buffet" is deserving, given the line after line of options presented here, though I avoided the pointless American items like pizza and chicken tenders and managed to try about twenty different Asian dishes, and all were approximately the complexity you would expect - simple one note meat-vegetable-sauce combinations that consist of what most of the average American palette thinks of when they think of Chinese food. Given the sheer quantity of the buffet, it allowed to branch into other things like taro buns and sesame balls, which were interesting and better suited to buffets. I was pleased with the temperature of everything I ate, which is sadly a high mark for buffets, though there was still the occasional item that was dry, like the lo mein noodles, or greasy, like anything that was cooked in a sauce. They also had a limited sushi selection and seafood on ice, the latter of which I didn't try, but a coworker did and didn't seem perturbed upon consumption. The dessert selection was also large, though the baked items like eclairs, profiteroles, and roulades weren't made in-house and were dry. There was a cheesecake that wasn't bad, and there was standard puddings and fruit that I'm sure tasted fine. The best bet at Super Buffet is probably the Mongolian barbecue stand in the back, where you can pick your protein and veggies and have someone wok it up right in front of you. It's part of the buffet, and you know it's freshly prepared. As far as buffets go, I wasn't as disappointed as I thought I would be with the quality of the food, though I did visit during lunch, so who knows what it's like during an off-peak time. Still, at under $7 for lunch, China Super Buffet isn't claiming to be anything but a cheap and satiating meal for people that want as much Americanized Chinese as possible, and I can't fault them too much if they do it mostly correctly.

I really don't give a single __ ___ about what other people say. I eat here sometimes and I like it. If you spend all your time complaining about how there is no good Chinese food anywhere, just go eat in China. Or, if you complain all the time that your mom makes better food, go eat at her house and be happy. Otherwise this is a nice buffet that does all the buffet things right.

If you are a fan of large buffets stacked with sub-par Chinese food, then you've found the right spot. It had almost as much American food as it did Chinese. I don't expect great quality from any buffet, but this one really let me down.

Pretty darn good "Chinese Buffet" I've ever had in Kansas. They have one of the largest varieties I have ever seen ranging from pizza to crawfish to stuffed mushrooms to frog legs, along with the traditionaly dishes you normally see. They have a Mongolian grill, which is part of the buffet, so you are welcome to choose your ingredients, and the cooks will grill it right in front of you. They have an entire aisle dedicated to desserts (tapioca pudding and custard buns are tasty). If you have room for ice cream, they also have multiple flavors. The wait staff are very good about clearing your plates when you leave and refilling your drinks. The restaurant is huge, with plenty of seating. If you are in the military, be sure to ask for your 10% discount!!

Ok, again I trusted another recommendation of this place, but wish I had just ignored it honestly. The buffett was nothing special and not much variety as I anticipated and have had at other places. The food was just ok, the service was so so, and the place seemed unkept. I cant stand sitting at a dirty booth in a restaurant, so I sat at a table, but of course the walls were dirty - yuck!! I swear if I ever work at a food establishment, I will wash all the walls...sorry, off topic. The tea was very weak and tasted very much like tap water - double yuck. The servers were sitting around and seemed to be watching everyone eat, which was a little irritating. It was a little chilly in this place and I ate with my jacket on the entire time...not good. I would not recommend this place to anyone. Yeah, Super Buffett owners, you have a buffett restaurant, but at least pretend you care and prepare decent food to your customers please!! Its obvious your just trying to make a quick buck by serving mediocre food, triple yuck. If you are hungry and just so happen to drive, keep going!!!

I am new to the area so I thought I should go check out this place. I wasn't impress with the food at all. They dont stock up food consistently so the entire first 30 mins that I was there, the usual food still remained empty. By the time it reached 1 hour later, I did not see 1 tray of crawfish nor crabs bring out. So, I decided to request a tray of crawfish to bring out to our table. They brought out a tray of crawfish in less than 10 mins. We have 7 people (all grown adult) at our table, so we requested to bring out another round of crawfish tray since the buffet isle still emptied on certain food items (clams, crawfish, crabs, etc..). The ridiculous part was the waiter informs us that we have to pay additonal $10 for the second order of crawfish. They dont put out the food so we had to request and they asked for additional charge??? What is the point of going to a buffet? Isnt buffet is meant all you can eat??? They just lost 7 customers for good!

The first few times we went with the kids, it was okay. That was about 2 years ago. Over time, it seemed to decline on cleanliness. The floors and walls really needs to be cleaned. The buffet was well tended though. The staff was nice, but it is a very loud restaurant. BUT, it is a buffet. Its okay. There are worse places.

Chinese Cuisine

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.

Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.

There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.
