Cupcakes were delish! Minus one star because of their lack of variety of drinks. I'd prefer to have tea or juice to accompany my cupcake instead of a can of soda.

Cupcakes are good, but you can tell they are made with oil and artificial ingredients. The cupcakes are dense and rich and tend to be very greasy. They offer a variety of flavor and they do taste yummy, but be ready.... If you have sensitive taste buds, you'll pick up on the faux mixtures.

I was definitely impressed with the quality of the product. I was also very pleased with the knowledge of the two girls working behind the counter they explained the process to me as it was my first time there. At $3.50 per cupcake I think it's a steal their extremely moist and flavorful.

Great cupcake place in Wichita. I picked this place to try as they had unique flavors and we wanted to pick a variety for my fiancé's birthday! We walked in and they were extremely helpful in suggesting which flavors to purchase. If I'm in Wichita and have a need for cupcakes I'm coming here! Cupcakes were full of flavor, not anywhere close to dry and not a single one was left. I also like a business that donates any leftovers to charity at the end of the day!

The staff was nice, the place is clean and adorable. Loved their variety of flavors! Bought a dozen for a Bday, we loved all of them.

I work at a hotel that is nearby the bakery and when she was first opening up she brought a couple of boxes for us to hand out to guests. Not only did guests love them, but I did and so did the other staff that tried them. We send guests over often now, and I've always heard great things. Not only is the presentation of the cakes very clean and creative, the product TASTES wonderful.

It was 2009, and the country was in the throes of a cupcake revolution. Jeff Martin opened the first Smallcakes in Overland Park and soon became TV famous from stints on the Food Network show Cupcake Wars. Four years later, Smallcakes is franchised across the country, and say what you want about Wichita, but we are definitely a part of the country, so we got one, too. It seems like the franchising is pretty loosely controlled, so each Smallcakes looks different and offers some seasonal flavors that go beyond the dozen "signature flavors" that Smallcakes posts on their site. I tried a Kit Kat Cupcake, mostly because it was fun to say. The concept was more fun than the execution - a chocolate cake topped with chocolate buttercream, a chocolate syrup drizzle, and some pieces of Kit Kat to remind you what they were going for. The cupcakes are made fresh each morning, but the cake portion was almost too light - it stuck to the wrapper, and it didn't stand up very well to the heavy frosting. It was also hard to stretch my mouth to the size necessary to take a bite of the thing - they may be called "Smallcakes," but they are certainly larger than your average cupcake. Technical challenges aside, the freshness and the creativity are the selling points for Wichita's first - and probably only - cupcakery. The cupcake fad has mostly passed us by, but that doesn't mean that Smallcakes doesn't offer us some tasty treats to shove in our cake holes.

Cupcakes were delicious!!! Me and my boys had the Red Velvet, Hot Fudge Sundae, and Carrot! They were all so moist and delicious! The cream cheese frosting and whipped frosting were perfect! They were so good, I could've eaten the cupcakes without frosting!

These ladies are A-MAZING! As an event planner I booked them for a job where I needed a ton of cupcakes! I love that they have 3 different sizes of cupcakes and what seems like a million different options when it comes to color and flavor! They were great to sit down with and have done enough large events to know what they are talking about... The cupcakes are delicious... my favorite is the carrot cake and I love that Tuesday is Toddler Tuesday and if you bring your wee ones in and buy a cupcake there is a mini cupcake for your kiddo! These ladies ROCK!

Very nice staff. Cupcakes we bought were birthday cake, carrot cake and lemon. Lemon was delish! Carrot and birthday were ok. Tasted a lot like Betty crocker mix and frosting. Husband will go back for the lemon cake.

They need to work on their customer service. I've been there 4 times and it seems like other customers are more valued elsewhere. I guess I'll take my business elsewhere. They're not the only cupcakes in town!

Super delicious. They are a little pricey for cupcakes but that hasn't stopped us from visiting multiple times.
