I probably haven't been in a Red Lobster for 30 years - seafood is mostly an afterthought for me. But the wife and I got a Red Lobster gift card for our anniversary, so we combined an anniversary dinner and a daughter's birthday for a Saturday lunch at "the Lobster". First impression (other than the obvious smell of seafood): These people are really friendly. the hostess, the waitress, the table-bussers, everyone had something nice to say. Because the wife and I were new to the menu (my daughters have eaten here several times with grandparents for good grades), they made recommendations, gave us some input on preparations, and gave us time to decide. The salads were fine, but most of our attention was on the provided cheddar biscuits. I want that recipe! The wife ordered breaded shrimp, one daughter had shrimp alfredo, one daughter had shrimp nachos...and I had blackened catfish, which was so good that everyone at the table kept eating my dinner. I did get bites of theirs, so it evened out. All items were well-prepared. Service was attentive. When we finished dinner and mentioned how much we liked the biscuits, they brought us a bag of them, to-go. On the way out, several of the staff said "thanks" and "have a nice day" - which to me is always appreciated. Yes, I know that Red Lobster is "upscale chain seafood", but I really had no criticisms to the meal, service, or atmosphere. Next time we're looking to go "celebrate" somewhere, Red Lobster will likely be considered in the mix.

I went here two nights ago with my husband. Overall, our experience was nice, but, the service wasn't very good. We wanted to order something and share, and the waitress taking our order insisted that we couldn't do that. We weren't very hungry, and we just came because we hadn't been for awhile. She refused to take my order until I ordered two items instead of just one. I was expecting better customer service.

Food was great as always. I was put off by the management. There was 7 of us and we are all normal to large people. They tried to cram us into a booth after we had waited 20 minutes in an empty lobby. When I brought it to her attention that the booth wouldn't work she acted as though she hadn't noticed that we aren't a skinny bunch. I will go back but not with a group of 4 or more. It seemed as though seating 7 was a hard task for the hostess and the manager didn't seem concerned with our predicament at all.

It's got one of the healthiest selections of any chain restaurant. Prompt service and the staff is friendly. When I order to go and ask for 7 cheddar biscuits (they're like crack to me), they don't even charge me for it.

Family was hungry for seafood headed to Red Lobster. No one waiting awesome restaurant half empty means dinner crowd is done should be easy in easy out right. WRONG hostess says 10 - 15 min . Meanwhile all employees including manager. Standing around laughing. Waited 5 minutes decided to call B.S. told them Ty o removed us from the "waiting list" and walked out. Manager came running after us saying we can seat you now. Told him where tob put his chair. They have lost customers for life.

The food was good, and while our waitress was very sweet, it must have been her first day. We were there fairly late, and the restaurant wasn't crowded, yet it took a long time for our food to be served, and both orders were screwed up. We'll go back, but will hope for better service next time we're in town

First time ever at a Red lobster! Sadly I don't really see what the hoopla is all about. Ambiance: Like that of any other steakhouse with thick wooden walls and your standard seating. Place was packed on a saturday evening as you would expect although service surprisingly was good and prompt. We were seated with drinks in 40 minutes. Food: Caesar salad was overly dressed and very thick, it was far from a light refreshing salad. I got the Cajun Chicken Linguine and it was pretty decent flavor-wise. There was a very mild heat to the chicken and it was moist and tender. The problem with the dish was that the noodles were cooked a little past al dente (maybe for their older clientele?) and the cream sauce that went with it was more oil than cream, I mean I had a puddle of orange oil at the bottom of my plate. The best part of the meal was undoubtedly the cheese biscuits they serve when you get seated, they were warm, crumbly, cheesy and delicious. If I could, I would've just ordered an appetizer and gotten full off those biscuits. A general theme with my food, though, is that it is ALL overly salty which isn't helping the blood pressure of their clientele. I also snagged a fried shrimp from my mom and it was uninspiring even with the dipping sauce. They could really benefit from some creativity and more complex flavor profiles. Overall this place will win you over with their biscuits but their over-cooked pasta, lack of imagination, and high salt content were a major turn-off for me. I'd much rather spend my $15-25 dollars somewhere else.
