Wow surprised by the amount of ppl here. It is like a desert over lunch. I came here after a while and don't know what went wrong but for the entire place there were only 3 or 4 tables with people. server is trying to be extra nice and it felt kinda weird. bur the food was good and nothing to complain about that.

Outback Steakhouse used to be the place that I would go to really treat myself as I don't have that much money and it's gotten pretty expensive. I usually go there at least once a year if not two and one time I went three times in a year as a friend took me out. In my opinion which is not that important, but I really think they've gone downhill. I know anybody that gets the sirloin knows that there is a piece of gristle that runs through the stake and if you don't know how to cut it it ruins the entire piece of meat. In the last three years they have either changed meat suppliers or if they cut their own meat they've got bad Cutters, every steak has been ruined and and what used to be medium rare meant medium rare, now it's brown in the middle, the cooks have gone down hill. And all the free shrimp taste like little rubber nuggets but the garlic and butter is great and the service was terrific and one manager even replaced my steak so that's why I give them 3 stars because its three places they really need to improve.

I love the west store -- but this place is a GIANT JOKE We met some friends there recently. When we got there they had been seated for nearly 20 minutes and had no menus, silverware, or drinks. We finally had to flag down a waitress -- and they weren't busy She screwed up EVERYTHING on our order The food was not cooked correctly -- my "steamed broccoli" was basically straight out of the walk in and not cooked at all My lamb was rare (ordered med) one steak was extra well (ordered med rare) a baked potato was under cooked and it just goes on and on I had my dinner before I got my diet coke and I only got silverware by taking it myself off another table NEVER AGAIN

We went there -- just as they opened -- to avoid the lunch crowds. In fact, we were the first people to be seated. My husband took a spontaneous day off & we wanted to get an early start on our day!! Followed by two other couples immediately behind us. My husband made some joke about us being "officially old" since we were the first to be seated -- before their regular senior crowd!! But that's actually where our problem was. The server was catering to his regulars. Although we were seated first, the two other couples got their waters before us. They had their orders taken before us and were served before us. Which really irritated my husband. We ordered the 'Blooming Onion' appetizer and it was very fresh. I have a sensitivity to oily foods and can almost immediately tell if the oil is old or dirty. It WAS NOT!! I didn't end up with any problems from that deep fried onion. I ordered a 'House salad' and it was nice. I loved my "fall off the ribs" delicious ribs with a vegetable medley. My husband ordered something 'NEW" from their menu -- some kind of deep fried lobster bites. He didn't care for it and actually left @ 2/3 of it on the plate. When our server brought our check -- we asked for 2 'To Go' boxes (one was actually going to the dogs and one for the frig). The server brought only 1 box. By then my husband wasn't happy with our server and he wasn't tipped very well.

Put it this way. We were given $100 in gift cards cause of our terrible service here.

This outback location was quite a disappointment, outback steakhouse is one of my favorite restaurants and I've eaten at the Westside location many dozens of times over the years. So when I moved out east I had to try this east location. I only ever order takeout from outback so I can't comment about their tableside service, but the food that I've gotten from this location the few times I have gone there has consistently been poor, not properly cooked, and not even assembled as described in the menu. It also takes them a while to come out to your car to give you the food, even when you're the only one there.

The food was great and the service was awesome. I'm glad I didn't let the other reviews scare me off.

Dined there Friday after a hectic week and nobody felt like cooking. Tried the new Rum Punch in the mason jar glass - not bad. I skip the appetizers here - just too much food by the time your meal arrives with the bread and all. Servers are programmed like robots to stop and check on you every 5 minutes - a bit much when you are having a conversation. I ordered the filet - it was overcooked and highly resembled a sirloin - not more than 3/8" thick. Last I checked - filets were usually about 2" thick...hmmm. Server said - oh yes, that's our filet... it wasn't filet mignon. Lots of patrons around us were unhappy that night - not sure why, but one guy stated he felt like he was at a circus! We sorta laughed at that. Now one of my questions - about 8 tables were within earshot of the servers dropping off tickets to the kitchen. Since the place is decorated well - I found it odd with the POS systems in place why EVERY server had to yell "ORDER" when they entered the kitchen. Some call me anal retentive, but we stopped counting "ORDER" after about 45. Both of us were pretty annoyed by this. Outback used to be the staple for getting a really good meal at a good value, but this night wasn't that great, eh... gift cards. Nonetheless, we will return for a Fosters next time and perhaps a different seating location.... ORDER, ORDER, ORDER - dang, where is Judge Judy!

Call in system is messed up so when you call in for curbside takeaway it's answered by someone who cannot take your order.. I was then transferred again and was placed on hold for 6 minutes then hung up and placed an order online. We had a $50 gift certificate and unfortunately forgot it at home. I was going to have my wife give me he numbers off the barcode on the cars but the girl told me they couldn't do that and I would have to pay.. This is crazy since I could have entered these numbers online with order originally. Seems to me to have very dysfunctional process and didn't seemed too concern with making my situation better. I told them when I went to pickup the food about error with the call in phone system and the girl at the front told me they were aware of the problem and had other complaints but for some reason it hadn't been fixed. So I know have a $50 unused gift certificate that I will probably give away because little stuff like this shows me they don't pay attention to he small stuff so how likely are they to actually get my order right, fast, etc... NOT LIKELY

Originally from CA and enjoy eating at Outback there. This is probably the worst Outback I have ever eaten at. My husband's steak had no flavor and was well-done, not the medium he ordered (and he's not a picky eater and usually likes everything) and they got my order wrong. I ordered tilapia with wild mushroom sauce and they sent tilapia with crab meat. When it came I started to ask if this is the tilapia with mushroom sauce and the sever cut me off and said yes. Thinking he would know since he works there I let it go. My food had no flavor either and my vegetables were very overcooked and mushy. The check came and on it says tilapia with crab meat... Will not be eating at this location again.

About what you would expect from a chain restaurant. Not great, but not terrible, and incredibly incredibly salty. The french onion soup was below average, the steak was ok, but not the most flavorful steak I've ever eaten in my life. The reason that this gets two stars instead of three is that the waiter was hurrying us out almost as soon as we sat down. He immediately asked us if we were ready even though I hadn't even had time to open the menu. He then asked if we wanted desert about 3 minutes after our dinners came, and brought out our checks when we were halfway through. I understand that restaurants need to flip tables to make money, but this was way too extreme for me.

Overall I can't say it was the worst experience I have ever had at an Outback, but bad enough that I wouldn't return to this location. On a recent visit I sat at the bar around 8 pm. The place wasn't too busy so the floor staff were busy catching up on sidework and chatting. Overall I would have had a better time if I didn't have to listen to most of the servers complaining how they weren't making any money and just wanted to go home. To aggravate the situation, I wasn't offered bread and I was for the better part of my visit ignored by the bartender who was chatting with other members of the staff. The worst part being I wasn't the only person at the bar. The saving grace was the food came out hot and it was cooked right. Otherwise this would be a 1 star review. The restaurant has had a recent update to the interior, it looked great. I just wish the service had been better or at the least, present!

I used to love this place, where the service & food exceeded your expectations. That was about 15 years ago, now when I visit it makes me sad because it reminds me why I don't come at all. The service is careless, and the food quality is poor. We had family in town so we all went there for dinner, wasn't my choice as I crinched thinking of my last experience there but I was optimistic that things have changed for the better. Two hosts stood at their podium & didn't even greet us, we found our own party waiting for us. Then it took forever for everything to arrive, starting with drinks and bread. If you asked for extra napkins for the kids or just bread while we waited for our appetizers, the waitress would snap at us that she couldn't carry everything on her tray. There were 11 of us, and 2 adults had to sit at the end of 'LEAF' table, where small tables with extended leafs to make it bigger. How are they going to eat/cut their steaks on a table that slopes 30 degrees?? So tacky for Outback that you just have to laugh. What kind of management would be okay with this? For an overpriced entree that doesn't even come with salad anymore, you'd think the meal would be stellar. Your steak would look dry & overcooked, the lobsters overseasoned & mushy. At that point, we were just hungry & wanted to get out of there. I didn't want anything else. I used to be a waitress while in college, and it starts with good leadership. If you have management that cares about food & service, it shows. If you don't, in this case it shows very badly. I don't blame the waitress for her attitude & service, or the cooks who put out lame looking food, it all comes down to who is their leader? Trust me, your money is better off somewhere else.

Poor quality food. 2 stars because our server was nice & I felt bad for him having to apologize to nearby tables for them not liking their food. I ordered a grilled chicken sandwich. The chicken was flavorless except for the taste of having been frozen. It came with a side of avocado which was all chopped up and brown. No thanks! My brother's chicken breast was served cold and ribs were like something you'd expect from a cafeteria.

I usually have good experiences here but the last time I went, was probably my last. I went for lunch with a friend on Saturday and left in a really bad mood. I was telling her how great it was and she was going to love the food. Big mistake. For lunchtime in Wichita, the place was empty. I could count all the people eating in the restaurant, which was about ten including myself and my friend. That being said, the wait was the worst I have ever experienced. It took almost ten minutes for our waitress to come take our drink order. By then, we were ready to order our food and appetizer. Our drinks took another ten minutes, and every time our waitress came back, she would say "Sorry for the wait." Moving on..... Our appetizer came out and we ate most of it. It was hot and pretty good. Our drinks were not refilled until they were completely empty. My favorite part of the trip was when our waitress brought out the bread and butter right before our meal. Why even bother?? Our meals came out and by then, we were so ready to get out of there, we asked for boxes so we could take our food and go. That took another ten minutes. Then the check, another ten. You get the point. Worst experience I have had here. The three other servers standing up at the host stand didn't even bother looking at our table or even offer to refill our clearly empty drinks.

I have never ate here before, nor did I have much intention to. But OB was giving away free steak meals on the internet. Signed up, and few weeks later I got a voucher card for a free meal, side, and drink. From the Outside it really doesn't look much. You don't really see any windows, and it just looks plain. Not important, but just an observation. Inside I was greeted by the hostess, and I had explained that I got one of those freebie meal cards and wanted it to go. She agreed with my requests with enthusiasm and took me to the room where they take orders for carry out. The interior is very dark, lit with amber color lighting. Seating varied a lot with booths, tables, and cool looking 2 seat tables by the bar area. The person whom took my order wrote my order up, and asked what I wanted for my free drink while I wait for my food. I asked for a sweet ice tea. I ordered the 6 oz steak cooked medium rare with garlic mashed potatoes. I proceeded to wait at the bar area, where their seating was all angled in a way that made it easy to grab a seat and sit. It's hard to explain unless you're there to understand what I'm describing. The bar area was very clean and organized. The bartender was very nice and asked if I needed anything. They have 2 TV's setup in the area to catch up on any sports and sports news. The wait only took about 20 minutes, and the waitress brought my food in a huge carry out paper bag. My steak was in a Styrofoam case, mashed potatoes in a Styrofoam container to separate from the other food. What I didn't expect was it also came with some of their fresh cooked bread you get while waiting for food, and a thing of butter. I was very impressed on how detailed and well packaged my food was. The food itself was cooked perfectly, and was very flavorful. My steak was cooked exactly how I wanted. Most places are off by 1 when I get a steak. It was seasoned nicely and not over done. The mashed potatoes were very buttery and had a garlic taste to it. The bread and butter included was very good. Overall my experience there was good and the staff there seem to enjoy their job and don't walk around like they hate their job.

When I am in the mood for a steak and I don't have the time to make one at home I usually get one from Outback. The upside is that it is very easy to use the "Curbside Take-Away Online Ordering". It is very easy to use the website and customize your selection. And when you arrive to get your food and park in one of the designated spaces a server will deliverer the food to your car. The downside is that when you make changes and customize your selection it is very hit-and-miss that they will get it right. I always want extra salad dressing and only get it about 50% of the time. If you can get it I recommend asking for Tiger Dill sauce for your steak. If you get it you will not be disappointed. The salad is also good and always fresh. If you have children the selections are good. My little guy likes the Boomerang Cheeseburger with steamed vegetables. There have been visits where I are inside and the service and food are always good. I still like the carry out and make sure I check the bag and/or ask the sever before I drive home to make sure everything is in the bag.

I took a few employees here for a celebration last night. I hadn't been here since moving up from Dallas last year. In the past I've always depended on Outback for a solid and dependable steak dinner. However, I feel like this Company is in decline. The last two times I've eaten at Outback ( once in Dallas) things were lacking. Last night my ribeye was grey with faint grill markes. It's texture was mushy and I can't remember the last time I was this disappointed in a steak. The others in my party remained quiet and were not raving about the delicious steak as usual so I assume...I recommend you don't waste your time here.

I like the service in here and they made some new meal share to all the customers taste it for free. I order their fire ribs, it was nice, can taste the burn wood flavour.

Not the best for lunch. Over cooked prime rib sandwich. Dry and they did not trim the gristle. The iced tea lacked ice and tasted old. Kids enjoyed ribs and Mac and Cheese. Service was ok but server seemed distracted and uninterested in ensuring happy customers... Since the ownership changes and other menu changes this place has changed from great to just normal. Still reliable and clean but quality of food especially at lunch has gone down.

This is my ultra-favorite place to go can't think of a place to go out! Their Ahi-Tuna appetizer is the best around, and their cheese fries are epic! Anything that is grilled as a main course is excellent. Their staff is friendly and helpful :)

I think I've learned that if you haven't had the experience of eating in a really good steak place then you think Outback is really good. However, I think it is just slightly a cut above average. A double thumbs up for the Gingerbread Martini - A double thumbs down for the worst tasting frozen strawberry margarita. Two 6oz filets ordered (medium well). Once came out medium well and one medium. Mine was the medium and I can deal with that. Outback servers the flattest filets I have ever seen and they were both a bit tough. I wish the menu would have better descriped the "garlic mashed potatos" as "half mashed potatos with skins and TONS of garlic". I thought they were awful. Service was average...not bad but not great
