The strongest part of Hana Cafe has always been its Korean dishes, but it's understandable why it occupied only a small portion of their menu, instead giving way to trendier, more upscale, and presumably more profitable sushi to appeal to the nightlife of Old Town. Still, ICT's Korean presence is small enough to make me glad that Eunice Kim took advantage of the empty space next door to create Hana Next Door and provide a full-fledged Korean restaurant to enjoy. Because I know little of Korean food beyond bibimbop, and because half of the menu of Hana Next Door involves the same bibimbop and variations therein, this worked out well for me. The big hot stone bowl of dolsot bibimbap had exactly as much vegetation and seasoning that I was looking for, and the experiences was occasionally punctuated by Ms. Kim coming out with another type of kimchi to try. We talked a little bit of the few other Korean restaurants in town and how business was going. It seemed to be pretty light for Saturday dinner, perhaps because it's positioned more as a lunch place, or perhaps the giant "Now Open" banner covered part of the door. Maybe it's just because Hana Next Door is a little too far outside the comfort zone of what the average Old Town visitor comes to eat. Whatever the case, Hana Next Door's entry into the Wichita restaurant scene leapfrogs both Hot Stone and Juni's So long as you want bibimbap, at least. For a larger variety of Korean specialties, you might still be better off with Mana Wok.

Went there for lunch during the week and the food was outstanding, however it took over half an hour to get our food and the restaurant wasn't busy. So I would absolutely suggest this place but just know you might be waiting for a while.

Great authentic Korean food. Eight different kimchees to sample were included with the meal for free. We actually got so engrossed in our amazing feast that the owner actually closed down while we watched a great episode of the Kimchee chronicles starring this hot half Korean /half black chick and her best friend Heather Graham. Only in town a few more days but will undoubtedly return. Simply epic

Great food and service. I had the BiBimBab. Probably not spelling it correctly. It's a signature Korean dish. Various vegetables and meat over steamed rice with an egg on top. They will cook the egg to order, but I'd suggest over easy. I'll be back to try the bulgogi.

I've been in twice so far and gotten something different each time...both dishes were delicious! I love the atmosphere and the service is great...they're big on handing out free samples which is always fun :)
