After a recent visit that included some more sampling from the ice cream in the display case, there has been a notable improvement in the texture of the ice cream, bringing it in line with the otherwise excellent made-to-order ice cream, the homemade waffle cones, and the coffee drinks.

Wow what a find in our neighborhood. Great ice cream made to order with nitrogen. Had the toffee mudslide...very buttery. Got a taste of the wu shock sunflower ice cream, sweet and salty. Yum. Got to come back and try their coffees.

One word comes to mind...upset. I'm upset that I didn't find this place sooner. The flavors were all very good if and they will let you stand there and sample every single one of them, including the strangely good lavender flavor...kind of like eating a lavender candle but in a good way. I ordered a caramel C&B machiato and they added ice cream to it and then froze it with the liquid nitrogen, like in a science fiction movie where the people wake up from cryogenic sleep and all the fog comes rolling out...yeah, that was my drink. It was not too thick so I could still use a straw and it tasted amazing. I will be returning for a second and third drink/desert.

This place isn't as good as I expected. Their process of liquid nitrogen was poor; the process is too fast, the ice cream is slushy, and there wasn't as much flavor. I felt no creamy texture and the freezing point had tapped out. Their machine doesn't look up to par with modernized looking or working machines that cater to liquid nitro. The churn & burn tiramisu wasn't as good either. It was a bit too coffee tasting and over done with it as well as its bitter after taste that made me gag. The portions are alright and the prices do match its size but the main problem is the ice cream itself and that's not good. I did like their sunflower ice cream though! Just reduce the salt in it and it's gold lol. The customer service was friendly and helpful but there was a lack of passion into making their ice cream. It felt too fast, bland, textures were off, unwanted comments ("well it wasn't what I expected to be but its fine") uhmmm.. Then don't serve it to me?!! Wth? Lol

I have been here several times now. I have to say that I have never been let down. My all time favorite is the Magic Cookie flavored churn and burn. With the Amaretto Cherry being a close runner up. I have taken a few different groups of people here and everyone just LOVES it. It's such a fun place and with the great product that they are turning it out I will bring everyone I know by here when they are visiting in town. Very excited to have such a fabulous treat here in out little Wichita.

I decided last minute to take my 8 year old out for some ice cream and saw this place. I asked him if he wanted to try it and he was all for it after looking at the menu online. We got up to the counter and he saw "blue ice cream". It was called Cookie Monster. He got that and I got the salted caramel drink. Omg, best thing ever! The people behind the counter were very nice and answered all our questions. I will, for sure, be going back every chance I get!

If someone asked where to get the best desert in Wichita, without a hesitation I would say Churn & Burn. I was recommended to go here by a friend, and now I'm hooked! The staff was super friendly, the inside was extremely clean, and the frozen 'coffee' ice cream was fantastic. It's even neat to see how they make it with the liquid nitrogen. This is a great place to take anyone of all ages.

This place is a great addition to the local food scene. The owner and staff are very friendly and have provided excellent service every time I've been in. They make their own ice cream ( I believe using cream from a locally sourced dairy) and have a small rotating selection of flavors to choose from. Churn and Burn also prepares delicious caffeinated beverages produced from locally roasted beans. My favorite treat is the C&B Express. This is a vanilla ice cream base and a shot (or two) of espresso mixed together and then turned into ice cream right in front of you by the addition of liquid nitrogen. Their extra effort to support other local businesses in addition to providing their own delicious products and great service has already made me a loyal customer. I highly recommend you give them a try.

Great customer service and fun atmosphere watching the ice cream being made. Ask about the soy milk based ice cream. It's vegan and delicious!

This place is great! Have your creation frozen right before you or just pick what they have in the case. Lots of fun watching the "smoke" come off the bowl because it's so cold! They have lots of flavors and toppings too. Will definitely return.
