Got delivery. Food was poor, but not the worst I ever had. Not really recommended, but Wichita is really lacking in chinese delivery! I will not order here again.....

One of the best crab rangoon in town, their sweet and sour chicken is pretty good too. The customer service is pretty bad though depending on who is taking orders but the cheap prices kinda sorta make up for that. I always return but a second location would be nice.

Foods ok but the lady I talked to for delivery was probably one of the rudest people I've ever ordered from. After I told her a credit card was how I was paying she sighed and pretty much made me feel like I was really causing her trouble and then she said you dont have cash then she said just so you know you need to have your drivers license and then she made me repeat the card and then she just hung up. I was really wanting to tell her to something but I didn't want something in my food and I was really hungry won't eat here again.

China King is pretty average and Americanized when it comes to their food, yet we keep coming back to them over and over. There's only one reason for that: They deliver. Sure, the delivery time is slow, but the options for delivery are pretty limited here in Wichita so I can forgive that on nights I don't feel like cooking or ordering a pizza. Their dishes are usually pretty comparable to Great Wall. I've tried and enjoyed the General Tso's Chicken, which is surprisingly good leftover. It is moist and sweet; I'm sure you could order it extra spicy but somehow I always forget. Their beef and brocolli is not bad, but I honestly find it difficult to mess that up. Most of the food I've tried, however, I'm not crazy about. Their kung pao chicken has an odd aftertaste. Their egg rolls are very strong in cabbage flavor and little else. Crab rangoon is all just sweetened cream cheese. The hot and sour soup often has blobs of fat floating around in it. The lo mein noodles are generally overcooked and the Mongolian and szechuan beef rarely has much beef to it (it's usually very heavy on the onion and celery). The restaurant has a tendency to stack up the cheap vegetables such as onion, celery, and carrots in lieu of including much meat or the pricier veggies. I can't speak for the service for walk-ins as I've never actually entered the place, but when you call to order the person answering is brash and hurries you through the process. I guess it's more offputting than an actual dealbreaker because they've never messed our order up. There is a $10 option for delivery with a $1 charge so that's incredibly reasonable, especially with gas prices today. Most of the food and service issues are forgiven on nights when I just want to eat and it's a pretty inexpensive option for that. I'll just stick with the General Tso's. If you want good Chinese, not cheap takeout, try elsewhere.

Today I stopped in at China King to grab some take-out food for my roommate and I. This establishment is a small one. They do not have a buffet. I saw 4 or 5 tables w/chairs for customers to dine in. You can order take-out here and they also will deliver. If you are interested in their delivery service, you must order at least $10 worth of food and they charge $1 to deliver. They have quite a large selection of food to choose from on their menu and their prices are average. The reason I am only giving them 2 stars is because the food here is so bland. There's just no flavor to it in my opinion. For myself I ordered the chicken lo mein combo platter. All combo platters come with pork fried rice and an egg roll. For my roommate I ordered the sweet and sour chicken combo platter. I also ordered 4 crab rangoons. Took it home and ate about 4 bites. No flavor. Roommate agreed. Bland Bland Bland!!

Based on poor phone-service alone, we didn't even get to the food. We called to order delivery to our hotel room. Here's the short version: Person at CK (who sounds like a middle school kid): Phone number? *gives Texas cell* CK: That's not a local number? I'm in a hotel CK: what? I'm in the Best Western hotel on E. Kellogg. CK: do you have an address? Phone number? Nevermind *hangs up* If you are gonna advertise your business at the main desk of a hotel that is one street over (no other Best Westerns near enough to get confused with) know where the heck the place is and that you do in fact deliver there. Food may well be great, but we couldn't get past the "where are you at?" Stage of the inquisition for find out. Hopefully sitting in the restaurant has more competent service!

Chinese Cuisine

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.

Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.

There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.
