Best Mediterranean food places in wichita...the service n food is great. The prices are also affordable... You have to get hummus when you come here, it's the best...

My husband and I go here a lot! It's really good, and service is usually on point. The chicken pizza and hummus are the best!

Tasty food, terrible carry out service. They failed to provide plastic silverware, napkins, and condiments (ketchup for French fries). Additionally, they packaged hummus in a styrofoam clamshell type container, which leaked everywhere, and I couldn't clean it up because they didn't provide napkins. How am I supposed to eat coleslaw without utensils? (I am staying at a hotel so I don't have forks at home). The falafel sandwich was good, with nicely spiced falafel. The fries that came with it were tasty, though not crispy. True to other reviews, the hummus was delicious, or what hummus didn't spill out into the bag. Hummus and other liquids should be packaged in a plastic container that seals well for transport. The hummus portion was large, and I wish there had been an option to order a side portion (1/2 or 1/3 of the size) for around $3-4. If the food didn't taste so good, I would have rated this a 2 for the major carry out inconvenience.

A friend recommended Luna Bella and I am going to do the same! The atmosphere is is relaxing and the staff were all very friendly and attentive. I had the SantaFe Chicken which was wonderful! All the flavors mixed together so well with a slight spice but it wasn't an overwhelming spiciness. The rice and vegetable were also very flavorful and there was enough on my plate, which included two pieces of chicken breast a good portion of rice and veggies, that I took half of it home. Loved the ambiance, loved the food, I will be back!

One of my favorite places to eat in Wichita. Excellent service, great wine list, live music on the weekends, and a wonderful menu of lots of different choices. I recommend the lamb shank -- very good

My wife and I met her mother and our daughter here for lunch on a Saturday. We were able to be seated right away, although they were fairly busy. We ordered the hummus for an appetizer, and it was really good. I had the chicken curry for an entrée, at first I thought it tasted ok... but the more I ate it, the better it was. The squash in the curry was amazing. My wife had the lamb gyro which was pretty good. We saw they had tiramisu for dessert so we split one, and it was really good. Our service was average (not bad... she was nice and polite. We asked three times for straws and twice for lemons for our teas... straws showed up with the entrées... not sure where the lemons went...) The food was good so we will be back again.

Had the hummus, best hummus ive ever had, and the chicken shawarma. Excellent food, got food quickly, good service, good music and decor decent prices. 10/10 would go again.

Been several times and never disappointed! I highly recommend the steak hummus. I have only had two things I was not impressed with.. the Gyro and the Falafel.

Went back today to check it out, and it's just as bad as ever. My salad had huge leaves which were still "stuck together" at the base of their stems, and it came with dressing on the side (I did not order it that way). I had to cut my own salad and "toss" it as best I could on a plate that was too small. I ended up with lettuce in my lap and little oily dressing stains on my sweater. Our waitress was poorly trained and never asked how our food was, if we needed anything, or even if we "enjoyed our lunch." No manager came over or was in evidence. Their food is pretty, their hummus is good (but strangely heavy, like it has cream in it). if that's enough for you, then by all means go, but otherwise, go to the BL on the east side because the west one is pretty bad.

  • Lee S.

Sucks, if you live or eat on westside they think your idiots, don't even offer mezza sampler platter, they actually told me west siders aren't rich enough and worldly enough to put this on their menu, you can't even get babba at this location, we left and will not go to any other of their locations, gotta spend $ 7 for grape leaves $7 for kebbeh don't even offer falafel on its own add hummas , tabuli and a fattoush side salad and no babba so to get a half ass sampler plate you would spend $ 30 + , really ate their hummus before it isn't all that with the burnt and old pita to get a olive would have cost me $.50 really, more authentic place on west street called le mondes and cheaper Never again

This place has such great food and on the weekends I think it is they have jazz blues players playing their guitar and bass really adds to our dining experience. Whenever my boyfriend and I have date night this place is always on the list as a pick for where we should go! And you you can't beat Martini Tuesday!

  • J T.

The food is good but if you have to use the restroom don't do it there, go before you leave home. I've been there three times in the last two months and the women's toilet seat is so loose you could easily fall off. I spoke with the manager on duty, who really wasn't interested in hearing a complaint from a customer, as she blatantly walked away from me. There are too many restaurants in Wichita you have to be on top of your game at everyone or the competition will eat you alive. So if you must go for the food the food it's okay, but again don't go to the bathroom unless you brought your boots and spurs because it's like trying to break a bucking bronco!!

  • Eric S.

Bella is great! Good Mediterranean, but the Orange Roughy Florentine is amazing! Unfortunately, the first week of July '11, we noticed it was removed from the menu...how do you remove the best item on the menu? The humus is great, very fresh. Their coffee is great as well. If you haven't been there yet...go! Coming from out of town? There are 3 locations across town and one more pita shop.

great food beautiful wait staff that knows how to serve a table..

Bela Luna was recommended to me by a friend and I'm glad I went. The menu states their humus is the world's best. That's probably a bit of an overstatement, but it is truly excellent! I've been fortunate to have eaten a lot of humus in the middle east and this is on par with what I ate there. It arrived with a BIG plate of fresh pita and some homemade pita chips. I ordered the spinach salad for my entree. It was a large portion that sounded great on the menu, but it was just OK-nothing wrong with it, but not too exciting-I would order a different salad next time around. The service was excellent-friendly and fast (but I was one of a dozen or so people in there. At any rate, I think it's worth a try and would certainly go back.

For me this is as good as it gets for Mediterranean food in the ICT. I love N and J and all the others but nothing beats Bella's hummus. My mother takes me there everytime we're out in New Market Square for any reason. She is in love with the hummus there too. Their fattouch salad and house salad are amazing, my mom doesnt like the house so much because there's pecans in it, but I love it so much! We both ordered the Chicken Shwarma last time and barely had anything to take home. Well goodness I'm getting hungry just thinking about it!

  • Kesha M.

Bella Luna is a great option if you are looking for a quick, fresh and affordable lunch in West Wichita. I order the hummus every time and it never gets old. In my opinion the best entree on the menu is the Santa fe chicken, but I have tried many others and have never tasted anything I did not enjoy.

I try to eat here once a week. I like the chicken curry and the Hummus is the best in Wichita.

The hummus is great, and service is always extraordinary. Other great items are the mushroom soup and house salad.

One of the redeeming culinary establishments of Wichita. When I moved, the first Bella Luna had recently opened down the street from our College Hill cottage and we walked there at least twice a week to enjoy Matteo's Mediterranean menu. On a recent trip home, I found that the venture was successful and now Bella Luna is a favorite local chain with numerous locations. AND - nowhere else that I've lived has had any Mediterranean restaurants that make a Fattoush Salad. Everyone always looks at me and says, "Fah - what??" But every good spot in KS has a Fattoush. SO GOOD!! Add some grilled chicken and heaven is right there on a plate in front of you. My family's recent takeout excursion consisted of the said salad, a Maggi Salad, Chicken Schwarma and the Kabob Trio. All were delicious, but the true star is always the Hummus. Bella Luna makes the BEST hummus. With gherkin pickles, paprika, pine nuts.... creamy, goodness on soft, warm pita. Hooray, ICT - way to keep a great indie restaurant thriving amidst the surrounding big national boxes of sameness. **Note - our entire bill was $45. Unbelievable.

Looks like we were right about it just being a gyro off-day last time. This time, Amy had the steak sandwich, I the chicken shwarma, and a delicious time was has by all.

About Taco Bell

Taco Bell is a haven for Mexican delicacies such as tacos, quesadillas, burritos, nachos, and other specialty items. Owned by Yum! Brands, Inc. Taco Bell is one of the fastest growing American chains of fast food restaurants. The restaurant operates from 7,072 different locations which are mostly run by independent franchisees and licensees.

The background story of Taco Bell is interesting and inspiring for budding entrepreneurs. The fast-food brand is the brainchild of Glen Bell, who started his first food venture as a hot dog seller in San Bernardino, California. The year was 1948. After witnessing long queues outside a Mexican restaurant called Mitla Café across the street, Bell saw the opportunity and demand for hard-shelled Tacos. He reverse-engineered the recipe and later started selling Tacos and called the venture Taco-Tia.

Later, the name changed from Taco-Tia to El Taco. Eventually, Glen Bell sold the company to his partner and opened the first Taco Bell in Downey in 1962. By 1964, the restaurant also got its first franchise in Torrance. The 100th Taco Bell restaurant was opened by 1965. PepsiCo acquired Taco Bell from Glen Bell in 1978 and the restaurant brand is currently a subsidiary of Yum! Brands which looks after the restaurant business of PepsiCo.
