Met a few friends at Sharks to play pool last Friday night and it was quite fun. We were with a good group of people that were a table with a server and the evening was great. We ordered a few pitchers of beer and our server, although young, was very attentive and good at her job. I haven't ever had food here but saw many people eating and things looked good. I would definitely go back because the drinks weren't very expensive and they had various bar games (darts, billiards, poker tables and video games). If you're into bar games, you should check this place out.

Regular customers there we enjoy the laid back atmosphere, good drinks but the service is SUPER slow next time we will just have to sit at the bar to get our drinks.

I go here for the lunch specials. You get to play pool free while you eat. Food specials are good and pool tables are kept in above average shape.

Monday special...Bar-B-Q chicken and potatoes are great!! I thought their side-pocket salad was awesome and it's at a very reasonable price!

A winner so far. Only been in here a couple of times and those were just to hang out for a bite and a drink at the bar. As far as pool halls go, this is definitely the cleanest I have ever seen (I think the earlier complaints about smoking must not matter now; I think the city of Shawnee has kicked them all outside now too). The couple of times we've been there, the jukebox has had a steady strem of either pop music or upbeat country, which gives it a happy but slightly off-beat vibe. They have lots and lots of tables, lots of seating, and plenty of room for a huge crowd. Good bar food, good drinks, and good service. Will definitely be back, especially if the urge for foosball or darts hits.

I came to Sharks with my dad, brother, boyfriend, and friend. We all had drinks, appetizers, food, and stayed there to watch some march madness. We ended up staying there for a good 5 hours. Our waitress started out very friendly, but just about the last hour we were there, she developed quite an attitude. My brother had paid his tab and left before us. When she brought the bill, there were a lot of things wrong with it. She got the attitude when my Dad asked her to split the bill. She came back and my Dad's bill had one of my brother's drinks on it, which he had already paid. He told her that, and she came back with $7 "out of her own pocket" to pay for the drink. Really a rude thing to do instead of just taking it off like any other waitress would do, since he was already charged and paid for it. Food was not very good, except for the queso and chips, but how hard is that? The only reason I gave 2 stars is because they have a lot of pool tables and foosball tables and darts.

Great place with great prices. Every beer under the sun. Excellent food and service. Huge place with every game you would ever want, pool, darts, fooseball, poker you name it. Great place for business events and employee parties.

I recently visited Shark's and had a BLAST! Initially I was a little shocked at the mere size of the place. When I asked the manager how big they were he said they were working with something like 14,000 square feet! I told him I was looking for a venue to hold my birthday party for around 100 people and he sat down with me and gave me tons of options. He said we could do a poker party, as they have their own poker room. He told me they could help me plan a menu specifically for me, and they could even open a few of their pool tables... Of which they have at least 20. The party went off without a single problem! The service was great., the food was wonderful, and now Shark's is my "home away from home". P.S. Try the Pot Roast Sliders. Pot roast, mashed potato's and gravy on a small sour dough bun. You get three in a basket... UNBELIEVABLE!!!

My chicken burrito (Tue lunch special) with queso was delivered with a smile in about eight minutes. The burrito tasted great, the service was somewhat friendly and attentive, and the price was good at $6.00. This place is huge, with 24 pool tables and 4 foosball tables. If you like pool, foosball, or darts, then this is a great option.

If you love playing pool, this is the place to go!! They have a ton of tables and great service! Even the food is pretty good! They have some pretty good specials too. One being that if you spend $5 bucks (in food and/or drinks) you get to shoot pool for free! I highly recommend this place!!

Went to sharks today and man how it change. I went there and had a blast last time was tended to good by the waitress waited for food to come in about 10 mins or so.... Now I went there, and got a table waited for the waitress for about 10 mins mind you it was not pack since we got there early, played pool but when it was time to order some food since we got hungry it nearly took them one hour .... But here the funny part when I ask the waitress she said "what did I order " I was amazed that she ask me that since she wrote it down, i told her Nachos and fries ended up saying never mind and ask for the bill that even took 30 mins in the mean time the excuse that the waitress stated to me was " I came and ask you if everything was OK and then she stated that the kitchen has problems " yes when she came I was OK but how was I suppose to know you guys were v having issues I don't work there ...... Heh last time I go there

I've gone to Sharks probably 5-6 times with my friends and my experience has always been about what I expected; lower than mediocre. My most recent experience is what made me leave this review. The prices for the drinks and drink specials are okay. They didn't keep track of our reservation for the pool table and then initially tried to renege on an agreement we had at the beginning of the night. We got that ironed out with the manager at the end of the night so thankfully that is not a large part of this review. I try not to use the waitresses because I'm never sure that they can keep track of everyone's drinks and you don't know when or if you'll get them. This particular night I went to the bar for half of them, and used the waitress for half of them. I tried to pay the waitress in cash, and she said she'd go get my bill. She didn't come back. 45 minutes later I chased her down and asked her if I could pay my bill. She hadn't kept track of what drinks I ordered out of our group, so I had to remind her of which drinks were mine. Then when she came up with my bill, I gave her a $20 and even though she was standing right next to the cash register, she said, 'I don't have change for this.' I was so fed up at this point that I said, 'bring me the change your next time around.' Sure enough, she didn't come back, so I had to chase her down again to ask for my change. By this point I had multiple people in my group who had asked for their bills and had to chase her down as well. Now, I know how busy waitresses can get on the weekend, but this particular one was serving the tables around the pool tables, and spent PLENTY of time socializing with the other tables. It almost seemed as if she was serving everyone but us. I particularly despise having to ASK to PAY my bill, whether it's in a restaurant, bar, or anywhere else, so this is my pet peeve. She just confirmed my dislike for dealing with waitresses in a bar. I'll keep paying cash at the bar like I have been.

Shark's is a good place to go if you're looking for cheap drinks in Shawnee, or if you love pool or darts. Food is meh, service is meh, but drinks are cheap! We go nearly every Sunday during football to watch NFL games that aren't always available at bars that only play Chiefs games. There are plenty of TVs and they are always accommodating with what we want to watch. Plus you can't go wrong with $6 PBR pitchers. On a typical Sunday, we will spend $40 here compared to the $100 we would spend at Johnny's or Tanner's. That being said the food is just average. I have had the Nine Ball Nachos and the Taco Sliders which were both so-so, and the Milano Melt which was awful. Have yet to try the pizza. But it's close, and a good place to relax and watch the game without spending too much money. I haven't been other than a few random Saturday nights and Sunday afternoons, so haven't caught any of the bands or events they advertise at the bar or on their website. They seem to have a lot of fun things going on though like Beer Olympics and some seasonal parties which look like they would be a good time!

Now that it is smoke free - it can get 4 stars! :-) (there is patio with tables out front for those who do smoke) I'm a fan for the laid back vibe/atmosphere. It is a great place to hang out with your friends. It is very large with pool tables and darts and what not. There are more than enough so that even if other groups are there you are not bumping into each other or stressing over grabbing a table or anything. The drinks are good. One of the waitresses is right on...the other you better order a drink half way through the one you are drinking if you want it to arrive by the time you actually want another. The food. Um, no. I have tried a few things and so far nothing has been good, much less exciting. The stuffed mushrooms were not good at all. The nachos...if they'd have REAL cheese instead of that fake liquid crap then yeah, they'd be tasty. But the sandwiches...bland. So far, no luck in the food department. The drinks and the atmosphere are great though! Also, great daily specials on food and drink.

Numerous pool tables and televisions. Dart boards and poker tables are also available, as well as some other games (video, ping pong) Can get very smoky. Bands on Saturdays, with $5 cover charge. Cocktail service is hit and miss. Food is average to above average, with average pricing.

Three stars for the pool tables and the tap selection. Tables are plentiful. I cannot imagine the place being so full that one would not have ample personal space. We came in here just before it went smoke free and had to walk right out. It still smells of stale smoke, but now we can deal! We will definitely be back. If you want to get together with a big group, shoot some pool, or throw darts this is a great spot. Also, the wait staff was friendly and helpful.

Great place to grab a beer and play some pool or throw some darts with friends. It has a relaxed atmosphere with friendly employees. The place is also big enough that you have find your own space for you and your friends.
