This place stinks! When I say stinks, it smells in here. We sat at the bar and u wanted to gag from the smell. Our party moved to a table, nasty, dirty. Do you ever clean this place. Beer selection is just okay. I would never eat here, so dirty. I will never go back. Not many people at 5:30. I now know why. Won't be back!

went the other night to grab a beer and watch end of KU game. a pre-fight skirmish broke out between two extremely drunk a-holes and accomplices. after 20 minutes of the usual threats back and forth etc., one party finally left.. the remaining guy, drunker than the first, then decided to give me crap as I stood outside for a smoke.. after getting no reaction from me he went back and sat at the bar for another drink. wtf? the female bartender did nothing but watch the whole thing. apparently this guy is just one of the regulars.. this place is low-budget.

I ended up here from buying a groupon. As my roomie said that walking in was like being in a Twilight movie. The decor was way too busy. Also there was a trapped fly on the wall that kept buzzing driving us nuts. Somehow we got some focus on the food. Our server was nice in recommending foods. We tried the fried pickles. Extremely salty but good. I got the nachos and buffalo wings. Roomie got the chicken sandwich with fries. She really enjoyed the condiment bar. All in all the food was standard grill and bar quality food. Would I come back? Probably not. I don't really like stepping into the Twilight Zone.

I have always loved this restaurant, although I just ate at this location last week for the first time. Always just good, standard bar fare and good service. I had the fried chicken salad last week and we had onion rings for an appetizer. Topped off with a huge, delicious glass of diet soda. Delish!!!

Food is standard bar food fare with a nice burger bar. The building however is filthy. Black painted ceilings are clumped with dust. Dust bunnies fall with regularly. At open floors needed to be swept and the tables are sticky. This place is in serious need of a clearing.

I've lived in West Olathe for nearly seven years and I don't know why I'm just now starting to hang out at Fred P. Ott's, but I'm glad that I found this place. I've eaten at the Plaza location several times and always enjoyed it. When you go to P. Ott's, you're getting bar food - but it's good bar food. I've eaten here three times in the past week and each time my food was well-cooked and my service was above average. The first time I stopped at the restaurant was a week ago Friday for a happy hour. Our group ordered chicken fingers, potato skins and mozzarella sticks. The food was delivered piping hot and all was tasty. The following Monday a work colleague and I went and were pleasantly surprised to find all P. Ott's Mexican options were half-price. We both ordered the nachos - the server returned to our table to explain that the cook was making a new batch of queso and that it may take a few minutes longer than normal. No worries here, who would complain about freshness? She returned with two trays so full of nachos that they were overflowing - enough for three people to eat. Finally, my husband and I went for a late dinner on Thursday evening. He ordered the Border Burger - topped with queso, salsa and sour cream. He greatly enjoyed it. I ordered the potato skins again - they were just so good the first time AND they're loaded with bacon. Will I go back? This could be my Cheers.

Have been here several times but not recently. I usually order the wings when here so did so again. The wings were very meaty but I'm not so sure they were cooked all the way through. Will probably find out later. They were extremely greasy/oily and barely brown. They looked more whiter than they did brown. I'd say light golden. Needed to be fried at least 3-5 mins longer. When waitress asked if the food tasted good, I said it was just ok and explained that wings needed to be cooked longer. She said they're usual great and she could get the cook and I could yell at him if I wanted. She also offered to take them back and fry them longer but I didn't want to risk the cook messing with them. She also said to come back on a Friday or Saturday morning because the cooks were different and better than tonight's cook?! Waitress was very young and very friendly. She probably should have offered to comp them or take them away or have a manager speak to us. She may not have known any better. Overall the service was pretty good/quick but I will not return. There's lots of other similar type establishments nearby to go for dinner. Tonight was a big enough turn off to not return.

I have not been here in a couple of years but decided to try them again and the Burnt End sandwich was outstanding but not for people that can't handle spicy food. The Buffalo Chicken sandwich is another option but was a little disappointed in the proportion of chicken on the large hoagie roll. Good atmosphere and great service and the only thing preventing 5 stars was the portion on the Buffalo Chicken.

We enjoyed our burgers, but that is all we can say positive about our visit. Service was slow. Our waitress seemed to have forgotten about us. Our first round of drinks were missing a key ingredient. We had to go to the bar to get our second round. When the waitress came to our table and we informed her she said she didn't care. That truly was our feeling about her... she didn't care. Oh yeah... the receipt showed we paid for extra alcohol in our second round. If they knew how to pour a drink they wouldn't have charged us for extra alcohol. Did we mention the filth on the tables. My fingernail scrapped the table and a ball of muck came up. Clean the place. We frequent the Plaza location and have not been disappointed. We will not return to the Olathe location.

I used to eat here on a regular basis, but after they changed managers, the place went downhill fast. After 3 or 4 years,I decided to try it again. For starters,it took longer than it should have to get our waitress to notice us.I had already cleaned our table with leftover napkins and a half empty glass of water, courtesy of the previous guests. The salad came out with the steak, which is just plain wrong. When I mentioned this, the waitress rolled her eyes and chucked my steak under a heat lamp...Thanks! The waitress seemed more interested in what the rummies bellied up to the bar were conversing about than her customers. Also the rummies are the same people that were there when I ate there on a regular basis. They had a nasty habit of holding the door to their micro patio open while they stood outside in the doorway smoking, but I enjoy the freezing cold air and the wonderful smell of cheap tobacco so I guess this is an added benefit. Fred P. Otts is owned by the same man that owns Plaza III,which explains the better quality meats.Beer and alcohol are the same wherever you go.This being said, where they lose it is in cleanliness (or lack thereof),inattentive service, and poor management.Mr. Haddad,it's time to rattle some cages.

Went there for happy hour yesterday. They no longer have happy hour, WTF. What bar and grill that is empty most days takes away happy hour. Tried their filet sandwich which was the daily special. To be honest the sandwich was very good. The meat was tender and the mushrooms were cooked perfectly.

This is my "go-to" bar when I've had a bad day at work and really don't want to cook after getting home. Cold brew and a cheeseburger is like a warm comfort blanket on days like this. Burgers are offered in either third or half pounders, the fries have a nice salt/pepper seasoning coat that is just right. The best part of getting a sandwich here is that it hits the table in naked form. The condiment bar is up to you, so you can dress it with your own tastes in mind. On this bar is a variety of pickles and peppers to add some zing to your dining. I love okra pickles which they carry, and they always have to bring out more after I leave. Service is always attentive, bar is usually not very noisy, so you can carry on a conversation or sit and contemplate over your beer. Someday I may order something other than a burger, but for now......they are there to comfort me when I need them.
