As far as I am concerned, the more locations the better. I love a hot sandwich and Planet Sub does them so well. This particular location makes me especially happy since it is close to Sonic and I can pick up a Route 44 ice tea to go with my sub!

Gotta give em credit, sure do make a mean sando. Every time i walk in here there is someone cleaning the floors and the tables, the place is always spotless. The environment is great but the sandwiches are even better. Keep it up!

I can always depend on these guys for a tasty, quality sub. The staff are always nice. I'm glad they are a part of my neighborhood!

As always, this place NEVER ceases to amaze me! I've had everything on the menu, and I can say that they don't know HOW to make a bad sub! The Pesto Bello is amazing, but the Beefeater is my personal favorite.

I work near here. I have to say, I'm glad it's here - hard to find a decent vegetarian meal in the area without resorting to salad or some sort. They haven't ever disappointed. Carry out or dine in? they have you covered.

What's not to like about Planet Sub? The whole wheat bread is baked fresh each day, tons of cold and hot sub options and your number comes from a deck of cards. The chicken subs here are awesome, real grilled chicken any way you want it. Service is friendly, fast and it's a great option for the restaurant choices on Johnson Drive.

I lived in Lawrence off and on for 10 years and one of the staples of a Lawrence college student's diet was Yello Sub. Loved it! When I found that Yello Sub was known as Planet Sub outside of Lawrence, I was excited to try it, but sadly, I never got around to it until recently. I visited the Johnson location, taking my wife to lunch on her first day of work. The restaurant was very clean and well kept. Just like in Lawrence, when I put in my order, I received a playing card, which they use to keep track of orders. As Mr. Picky, I got a ham and swiss, no veggies. My wife got a sandwich with cream cheese. They came out hot and delicious. We both saved half for later. My biggest surprise was that it was empty. No one but the workers when we walked in. It was 1:00 on a Monday, so I thought it would be busy. A few trickled in when we sat and ate, but more people should visit. This is good. Plus, red cream soda in the fountain! Yum!

I really like P-Sub...they have such a great variety, and the warm toasted goodness never fails to satisfy me. Their call ahead option makes it perfect for that "on the way home" pickup with minimal waiting. I've certainly got my favorites, but my top two are definitely the Beefeater and the Meatball Grinder. While I'm sure they are not exactly low calorie options, they are both incredibly flavorful. Even though I should stop doing this, I can't help myself with regards to ordering the full size sandwich instead of the half. These are not for the faint of heart, or small of stomach - and thought I've not broken out the ruler, I'm pretty sure they are well over the usual "footlong" that is usually the standard in such sandwich outlets. If I have any knock on P-Sub, it'd be their iOS app - it's not really very useful at all. Hopefully, they get that figured out someday, but for now, I'll keep calling the old fashioned way.

Nope. The last 4 times we have ordered sandwiches they have been wrong. My husband's sandwich is specifically a marinara sandwich - it's in the name - and had no marinara. It was a pathetic, sad looking sandwich. He did take a picture and sent it to customer service. They sent him a gift card which was nice. We have started to go out of our way to avoid this store. The location has gone downhill since it opened.

I'm a PS fan, but I found this location to be just okay. I arrived at the end of the lunch rush. My sandwich was ready in about five minutes, it was perfectly toasted, and tasted great. The dining area had not recently been cleaned, and there was a puddle of water on the floor (with a caution marker), even though we have not had rain in several days. The service was somewhat friendly, and I enjoyed the aquarium. They also have good specials: MON kids eat free TUE $2.99 turkey THU $3.00 any veggie FRI free chips w/ footlong.

First time in to this location, despite living nearby for over a year. Showed up around lunch time on a Sunday, and it didn't seem super busy. I was unprepared for the wait, which was substantial (around 15 min). The cashier was friendly, and apologetic when my sub finally arrived. They do have a disclaimer posted on a marker board, which is apt. I didn't see the tattooed manager referenced in previous reviews, nor was my experience negative in any way. They have mango iced tea as well, which was pretty good. When my sub finally arrived, it was hot and delicious. The components were good quality, the bread crisp on the outside and chewy on the inside. I'll be back, but next time I'll phone ahead!

Last night, my boyfriend and I went here right before closing (8:50) because we were trying to rectify a terrible expirience from another PSub location. The two girls working were SUPER nice even though they were about to close. We mentioned the bad expirience we had had the previous night and how we just wanted the same subs like we usually get. When we got home, not only were our subs the BEST I've ever had from PSub, but the girl who made them wrote on the foil "best exp ever" and "perfect 4 cheese". We will never go to another location again, this place is fantastic.

Planet Sub how I've missed you. Just moved to KC and they closed their stores in Omaha. Love the unique options. I've had the Planet Sub and The Experience. Are you kidding me, they both could be my go to and I already love the Buffalo Chicken from my days in Omaha. Bread is delicious and served toasted, meats are very flavorful. If you like spicy, gotta try The Experience. I'm ready to try the next one on the menu.

This place is absurb. one person working at the store? expensive and takes forever, manager completely covered in tattoos seems uninterested and incompetent. they play uncensored music, including sexual lyrics and f bombs.

This place used to be good but the present management is gross. Takes forever to get your sandwich place is not clean. The review that said that the place is cleaned all the time is way out of date - this is OLD information. Go there NOW, fall of 2014 and you will be horrified. Don't know how it stays in business. The manager is Matt and he is rude and unprofessional. All the old managers are gone, probably because of him.

I'm such a Planet Sub junkie. Got to get my fix of tasy creative sandwich mixes (with sprouts! Why are sprouts so hard to find in good sandwich shops?) on the addictively freshly-toasted bread. Fortunately, I have had a location around the corner from home and work since arriving back in KC. And by signing up for the mailing list, I get all sorts of specials in my in-box at least once a month. My personal favorites? The Green Turkey, the Creamy Club, and the Tuna Bacon Melt. Just don't look at the calorie count if you're going with any of those 3.

Oh yeah first to review the newest in the Planet Sub Chain - don't be jealous ladies :) So I saw this morning that this shop of divine sandwich-vention was open and at first I thought it was an April Fool's Day joke. Joke's on you if you didn't go! I walked in to find a nice, well-dressed line at the counter - ok I don't recall if they were well dressed but they were all clothed so I ain't complaining. Anyway, there was a small line which quickly disappeared when another order taker arrived on the scene. I ordered the lovely and delicious super hero - lovely italian meats, ooey gooey provolone, crisp toasted bread, tangy banana peppers, mmmm. I got an ice cold beverage and some chips and I was good to go. The wait was a little long - but it is made to order so I can't complain too much - and I had my book so I was fine. My sub was a little more toasted then I expected and it was smaller than I have had in the past but I was satisfied with my meal overall. Once they get their toasting techniques down I am sure I will bump them to 5 stars. Food was delicious, staff was friendly, the restaurant was clean, nice tables and chairs set up. Oh yeah I'll be back - and I can walk there from my office so I can get some exercise while I'm at it. I call that super awesome. okaybye.

The Torpedo sub takes me back to a favorite spot in Baltimore's Little Italy: Isabella's. There, I had a couple of wonderful subs made on fresh-baked bread and filled with authentic Italian deli meats and cheeses... Planet Sub's creation is nearly on par, and here, in Mission, where I am perhaps 10% of the Italian population! Recently had our nephew stay for a few days and he wanted to split the meatball sub. The kid's growing like a weed and has an incredible appetite, but half for each of us was plenty, and delicious! You can't go wrong here, I promise. I shudder to think of meals I wasted at 'Jarod's sub place'! No more - it's Planet Sub for me!

Same good sandwiches as other locations. We go there a lot since we live nearby, but find the Leawood, Olathe & Plaza locations seem to have friendlier staff. My favorite staff is Leawood. I think that this location is thrown off by the tattooed/rockabilly set appearance, which the other locations tend to employ. However, the food is good and service is pretty fast, if staff was friendlier I would give 5 stars.

Hard to go wrong with Planet sub. This place is just as good as any other location. Good food and good service. Highly recommended.

Whoa baby!! Planet Sub had a 1/2 price 6 inch sub special as a "present" to its customers tonight. Hubby and I had two incredibly yummy sammies chock full of tasty ingredients on fresh baked bread for only $5.75. I love Planet Sub!
