3 stars for the food/coffee. 1 star for the service and attitudes. This is location is the closest to my house. But I only go here when I have to. The service is beyond slow and the employees are indifferent to the customers. One employee is downright rude and argues with the manager in front of customers. I have witnessed her arguing with the manager on more than one occasion. It is a-ok for bagels and coffee but the attitudes are awful. Attention to the manager, please buck up and have your employees check their crappy attitudes at the door.

This bagel joint hosts the best cranberry and blueberry bagels in town. I'd drive for miles to sink my teeth into one of them along with a Vanilla Hazelnut coffee each morn.

Toasted asiago with garden veggie schmear is where it's at. I love Einstein Bros, but they are way too busy for me on a regular day. I wish they had a drive thru at this location, but it's probably a good thing they don't.

Not happy with the consistency of service, here, which is really a shame, since it's my go-to place to get breakfast if I'm out and about, and the closest Einstein to my home. Those who have noted that the service is perfectly fine as long as there is not a line, but the minute there are more than three customers backed up, it becomes frantic chaos are exactly right. I'm pretty forgiving. I know they are slow, and tend to panic when there is a rush, so I plan accordingly, leaving extra time if I need to be somewhere, etc. Yesterday morning was one of those morning where they were freaking out. Sunday mornings are rough. You've got the church crowd, the mommy joggers...it's not a big place, and they never seem to have their routine down enough to get people's orders through quickly. Sometimes they seem understaffed, but I think the opposite issue was going on yesterday a.m. Too many people behind the counter, tripping one another up and grabbing things all willy-nilly. I don't even bother with "fancy" orders, here...no breakfast sandwiches, specialty coffee bar drinks, smoothies. Just a bagel, toasted, cream cheese and a medium coffee from the serve-yourself bar. Keeping it easy. Or so I thought. Husband and I put in our bagel order, went to get coffee, got our bag, and got out. Upon taking out the bagels, we find that neither of them had been toasted, and my husband's appeared to be the result of two different bagels being sliced and then mismatched. Like, the top was the pretzel bagel he ordered, and the bottom was their cinnamon crunch (or whatever). Smeared, of course, with the veggie cream cheese he ordered, because you really want vegetable cream cheese on a cinnamon bagel. Again, his was not only two different bagels, but also not toasted, same as mine. Also, smooshed flat. Cue sad trombone. Get it together, Einstein. This is my preferred food, as bagel chains go, so quit screwing it up.

Absolutely the worst service. A line to the door and there is one person responsible for taking orders, making food and ringing up people. Meanwhile another employee was doing inventory and completely oblivious to the situation, ugh! I wish I didn't love your bagels & cream cheese and coffee so much!

I like this place for the most part. If they are properly staffed, everything comes out quick and made perfectly. I have come in when they were short staffed behind the counter and it really puts them behind the 8-ball. You can't expect one girl to take all the orders, make all the bagels, breakfast sandwiches, and coffee drinks, and take payment and not have everyone in line get antsy about the extensive wait. Especially when I can hear other employees in the back shuffling speed racks around and talking. On the other hand, when they have proper staffing it fires off like a well oiled machine. I love the pumpernickel or everything bagel with salmon shmear. I embark into the pumpkin shmear when fall rolls around. I wash it down with a double shot of espresso and I am ready to get my day rolling. This location is much quicker and quieter than it's sister property in Prairie Village. I'll keep going to this one. If I have to wait once in a while, then so be it, but the end result of product quality and consistency is always on point.

For a chain bagel place - this particular location is awesome! Always friendly and fast service with amazing coffee! Never had a bad experience!

Cleaner, better, fresher than other Einstein locations, but still S-L-O-W. That is the only reason for 4 instead of 5 stars. The younger gal with straight dark brown hair and glasses knows what she is doing--apparently in the roller derby rink as well as the bagel shop? I get a mug refill almost every am (only $1 + tax) and she'll run your card while you fill up so you don't have to wait in line. Highly recommended: pepperoni pizza bagel on asiago, fresh-squeezed OJ, Euro-French roast coffee. They dump the euro-roast at 10 to keep it fresh, but will brew more upon request. Do it.

Pathetic service. Yes there is a line... I am not surprised by that. But employees are arguing like siblings. I asked if they had more chocolate chip bagels and I got chastised for sleeping in on a Saturday morning. Never asked if I wanted it sliced then sighed when I asked for it to be sliced and then made me ask for cream cheese. Are we not selling bagels? The lemon bites were sickly sweet and while we ate the bickering sibling rivalry continued. Lame way to start a Saturday. I was embarrassed for my son to hear them. It was THAT bad.

I was on my way to CostCo when I realized I left my wallet at home. Needing to turn back around but also being hungry, i decided to dig out that emergency credit card I have stashed in the compartment of my car but haven't used in ages. After ordering a coffee and a breakfast bagel sandwich Einstein staff realized my card kept declining. I called the credit card company and was notified it was deactivated for inactivity, I had the card reactivated and thought I was ready to pay again. Wrong. After a few more failed attempts I told Einstein staff I would be back to pay for it. Sensing my frustration, they kindly offered to buy it for me. I was very embarrassed but also very grateful. What a kind, understanding group of staff they've hired. This was my first time at an Einstein Bagel, but I hope the rest of the chain has employees like the one here. Oh yeah, the bagel was also excellent :-).

So I like a good bagel - I admit it. I am not ashamed. I sometimes pass this branch of Einstein Bros Bagels (I have been to one at Crown Center once or twice) when I go to meetings so I try to swing by and get myself a little something something. My office is right near a Panera but today, I made the unnecessary trek to Einstein. I order their asiago cheese bagel almost exclusively - toasted with the garlic and herb light cream cheese. Delicious. Warm and crunchy on the outside, creamy cheese, and soft and chewy on the inside. So good. This location is lovely. Easy to get in and out of, small parking lot but I haven't had any problems getting a spot, and friendly staff. The store itself is clean and well-stocked. I guess the ladies ahead of me had been waiting a bit but I was in and out in less than 5 minutes which is fine with me - maybe I should value my time more...nah! Anyway, I prefer it over Panera for a delicious bagel, I will go the extra mile for it and yum. okaybye.

Service poor. 2 behind counter w backs turned. 1 adjusting product in front cooler. Manager discussing break times. Customer standing by being ignored at 10:30 am.

I almost didn't think to write this review because we've been going there so long that it's just a fixture in our lives. First of all, they aren't kidding around about having Darned Good Coffee. I didn't used to be a particular fan of flavored coffees, but their Vanilla Hazelnut is delicious and I actually look forward to their Holiday Blend's brief appearance every winter. They serve it too hot, but that's a minor quibble which I solve by starting with a couple of pieces of ice in the bottom of the cup. I treat them mostly as a breakfast place, and this location does a great job with my two favorites: the Ham and Swiss Omelet Sandwich and the Spinach and Bacon Panini. I also like their new Bagel Bites as a snack (particularly the cinnamon sugar ones), and of course there's always the standard bagel and schmear combo (I like the honey whole wheat bagel with honey almond cream cheese). My husband and I are particularly fond of the staff there. He eats breakfast there daily, so he always knows everyone's name and vice versa. The long-time employees now know my name by association as well.
