More like "munch-a-lottas!" This is the buffet destination in Hutchinson (a.k.a. The Big Sleazy). Get the cheese enchiladas, the crumbley beef stuff and an order of their flour tortilla chips. Margaritas are the ish. Trailer park beer selection, but they serve Boulevard. Service is hit or miss (mostly miss, but who cares, you'll be stuffing your word hole full of that greasy, cheesey goodness).

Best Mexican food in Hutchinson! I honestly don't like Mexican food, never have, but their cheese enchiladas and their beef and cheese enchiladas are sooooo good. Their chips and salsa are both great and homemade. If you order tacos off the menu then the taco shells are also homemade. If I wasn't allergic to dairy we'd probably eat here at least once a week, but my stomach can only take so much. I usually end up sick from the dairy, but it's totally worth it. It's not the classiest place, but everything is well priced, especially the buffet. It's busy no matter what time of day and greatly accommodating to groups. My only real complaint is that they don't season their beef, but it's nice that it can appeal to everyone and then those of us who want heat can drown everything in their salsa. If you're like me you can just carry a small bottle of cayenne pepper in too... Pour a little salsa in your red beer and you're all set for a great night!

I don't always eat Mexican, but when I do it's pretty much always the Anchor Inn. Here in Hutch, a place like this is a tropical oasis in an otherwise arid wasteland of dining options. Menu, portions, ambiance, and service all get 5 stars from me. Go for it!

The Place is still rundown not as clean as it used to be. Was able to get seated right away from a guy at the bar. The food is just average they only use ground beef the service was really good the waiter was right there take our order and fill are drinks, had a big party enjoyed having one long table altogether looks like the buffet was the best thing to get for the price just not a good vibe in the place.

Great margaritas and atmosphere. Food is good, but I'd order off the menu and pass on the buffet. Great place to watch the game or meet up with friends.

I thought the buffet was very good and had more variety than the menu did. Definitely a little more authentic than what you normally see if this part of the world. The beans were exactly like the beans I had on a vacation in Mexico.. The service was average but the margaritas were to die for! I would definitely go back again!

Awful! Worst food ever! Ordered off the menu... Ordered the fajitas which was a big mistake! So why did I tell the waitress everything was fine? I felt stupid. I should have told the truth, but I didn't. Nothing resembled Mexican at all....fool me once, shame on you. Oh, but u won't fool me twice. NEVER have Mexican food at the Hutch. The servers were nice but you can not guilt me into giving one more star just for that.

Worst Mexican food I've ate in Hutchinson. A bunch of people I know like, but I've been here a few times and the buffet. I wont go back.

Best mexican food in Hutchinson, hands down. Their rice is so amazing and I love their pork enchilada. Be sure to get an order of the flour chips! I live in Lawrence, KS now and I make trips to Hutch just for Anchor. My parents have been known to bring me a plate in a cooler when they come up to visit because I miss it that much. This is a Hutch staple!

4stars for having a buffet, definitely a rare oddity to have. Food was average but had a decent variety of food. Wouldn't try the nachos and cheese, cheese looked like it came from a muddy thick swamp, i didnt want to turn into swamp thing, the chocolate cake and ice cream i had for dessert was very good.

Good food, my wife LOVEd the buffet. Being from AZ, I have a hard time really finding authentic mexican food, but this did the trick while we were visiting Hutch. Try it

When I go back to visit, this is one place we ALWAYS visit. They have wonderful food. This is a Hutch favorite. The name often throws people off but give their buffet a try!

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
