Received this recommendation from a good friend. Had the ribeye and fries. The steak was excellent. Full of favor. Fries cut from a fresh potato. Rolls good. Had friend mushroom appetizer. Whole meal 28.00. Worth every penny. I love steak, and this place will be on my list to return. The ambiance was nice as well. Dark woods and comfortable seating. I never expected a nice steak place to be at an airport. Lastly, service was well attended and attentive. I couldn't have been more pleased for the value.

My parents really enjoy this restaurant. It was just okay for me, but for Hutch, it's above average I suppose.The uniqueness of being at the actual airport is different. The food is okay, the service was okay. They seated us in the wide open middle of the room in the bar despite plenty of empty tables in the dining room (I know how seating works in a restaurant...so it wasn't that). We asked to be moved to one of the windows (same server). Our meals didn't come with a salad, which was odd considering the prices. $45 for 3 of us, not including tip or drinks. I suppose it's okay, but won't be on the top of my list to rush back. As I said though, my parents and mom's family really like it for their dinners. I don't think many things are made from scratch or prepared on site (chicken fried steaks, anything battered). Oh well, it's Hutch. It could be worse (across town....I'm sure there are many that are).

Great burgers, steak and chicken. Buffet on Sunday's is great too. Awesome place to fly into and eat or drive to eat and maybe watch a few planes come and go!

So what previous reviewer Chris G. wrote is spot on. Nothing was wrong with the food or the restaurant. The ambiance was nice enough, the server was nice enough, the food was cooked sufficiently, and everything was just fine. But the prices were too steep for "just fine." We pay those prices at home for awesome fare, so it was disappointing to pay those prices for food that, quite frankly, we could have grilled on our backyard grill and it would be been more flavorful. I'm not sure we will find ourselves eating out in Hutchinson ever again, but if we do, we'll not be returning here. Perhaps this is really an awesome restaurant for this community, and I'm not trying to be disparaging, but if you are expecting something awesome, you may be disappointed.

We celebrated my dads 83rd birthday here on Sunday. I called and made a reservation . When we arrived they had a lovely table for ten set up by the window . The service was outstanding and brunch buffet was very tasty!! My dad enjoyed the fried chicken and chocolate pie!!

We called ahead to let them know we had 16 people flying in and needed a quick turnaround. The staff had saved the buffet food for us at our request even though it was several hours after the buffet had been closed. The staff was ready for us on our arrival. The food was served family style in large bowls. They made fresh fried chicken with all the fixings which tasted fresh and delicious. Our waitress was super friendly and on top of every need. We walked out stuffed and happy. Way to go Airport Steak House! See you again next trip.

I wish I had gone here my first night in Hutch. Great food, great atmosphere. Everything made fresh, from scratch. We had the Fried Mushrooms, the Spinach Dip, and the Hand-Breaded Onion Rings. They were all fabulous. I had a dinner salad with House-made Bleu Cheese dressing that was wonderful. And the salad was not just a bunch of lettuce from a bag. It was quite good. I also had the Prime Rib. It was the perfect cut. Perfectly seasoned, and perfectly prepared. Everyone else in my party had a great meal, too. Next time in Hutch I will definitely be back.

The airport steakhouse came highly recommended to me. Im glad i followed the recommendation . I have eaten there two or three times now while working in Hutchinson and I have enjoyed every meal. The service is laid-back and casual but also very attentive. The steaks Cooked very nicely and they have a very nice flavor. The side dishes are good old-fashioned stick to your ribs type. I do recommend the onion rings, they are homemade and very good. For lunch they have a buffet. While I am not usually a fan of buffet type of food I found the fried chicken to be some of the best I have had in a very long time. If you're in Hutchinson, do yourself a favor and go to the airport steakhouse it's a lot of fun and the food is very good.

I hate going to a place knowing they have free bread, but having to go out of my way to ask for it- that pretty much sums up the Airport Steak House. This place has a very good reputation in the area, maybe that's why i was so disappointed by such mediocrity. For Kansas the prices are high, the portions are miniscule, & the ambiance & service are nothing to write home about. However on the positive side they have a decent bar, & their fried chicken buffet on the weekend is worth it. They're lucky there aren't alot of better dining choices in Hutch.

Ate there on business and it should definitely be your 1st option to go if you are in Hutchinson. Hutch seems to be very chain centric but this place is a gem. The quality of the food is excellent, I had the prime rib and it was as good as any Ive had. Had the stuff mushroom apps and they were very good as well. The value of the food is great compared to many places I have been. Decor is nice and the view is cool and unique of the runway.

When we pulled up we were at the airport building. We didn't know what to expect. Glad we went in! Our steaks were excellent. My husband's cowboy cut rib eye was over 2" thick! I called it his flintstone steak. The drinks were good.....I don't appreciate it if my margarita doesn't taste right. Nice decor. Also very good service.... We spent $85 with drinks and tip.

Great food, great service. Lunch buffet is quick, good, and reasonably priced. For dinner they cook good steaks. Not the best steak I've ever eaten, but they're cooked just like I request and they're definitely better than anything else you can get in town. Overall a great restaurant.
