Great breakfast place. Extensive menu. Great service. I haven't been to one in years. I was impressed! Great for family or business meeting.

The food was good hot. Hit the spot. The waitress was very good. The place was clean. I will eat here again.

Wife and I had the turkey dinner. Turkey was hot and moist, just like one would expect. The mashed potatoes were hot and just the right consistency. Did not appear to be from the box. The broccoli was a little crispy but just like I wanted it. Service was prompt and the food came out timely. The atmosphere was very quiet. No music just quiet.

IHOP does not deliver a $30 breakfast (we're talking 2 adults and a child here), but that's what it cost us. Well, $30.68, to be exact, including a tip. Our biggest complaint was with our very indifferent server, Mollie M. She surely has many gifts in life, but interacting with people - let alone serving them food - does not seem to be one of them. There was no attempt to smile, no attempt to pretend to be friendly. We don't need a server to be buddy/buddy; but honestly, this poor girl has no people skills. As for the food, it was very, very lackluster. The bacon is flabby, not crisp. There seems to be unnecessary sugar on pancakes and the toppings, and the eggs were so-so. Coffee will set you back $1.99, and they charged $2.69 (about what I pay for 2/3 of a gallon of milk) for one glass of milk. Our coffee came out in a carafe that had LESS than two cups of coffee in it, too! I don't care how hungry we are next time; we're going to drive on by the IHOP and hunt for something better!

This is the standard iHop. They have the regular ihop menu and depending on when you go there, if you get a good waitress, you will probably get what you expect. Be specific with your instructions. I have been in this particular chain four times. Three of those, I witnessed visual disagreements with staff and staffing issues (staff arguing with management, not enough staff, staff not doing their job), so they do have some problems (maybe it is the town?). The first time I went it was good, the second time it was so-so, the third time it was crappy, the fourth time it was good. Each of those I had comparible wait staff, so that may impact what you get. I like waffles and sometimes the egg breakfast. The last couple times I went in the AM when it was not busy and got fairly efficient wait staff. Each time I asked for crispy bacon (I love it!), I got it once and it was burned. It may just be that no one around here orders crispy bacon (it is difficult to get thin sliced bacon in the stores too!). Eggs are cooked to order, toast is typical (ask for extra butter if you don't like it dry), last time I got hashbrowns and asked for them crispy and they were good! Sausage is just like you would expect. Waffles not as good as at other iHops I have been too....a bit undercooked (but the people in this town like mushy, soft bread). I will go again if I am hungry enough and too lazy to cook for myself.

I would be extremely surprised if everything here did not come from a box. We ordered carryout Smoked Sausage, Bacon and Cheddar Soup, Garden Omelet, and Crispy Strawberry Banana Cheesecake. The mashed potato consisted of some kind of creamy mess on top of boxed potatoes with absolutely no texture or taste. It tasted like something between margarine and mayo. Disgusting. It covered everything in the box which required extensive wiping off. The Cesar Salad side was just shredded romaine lettuce and shredded cheese without any croutons. They completely forgot the Garlic Bread. They forgot the requested spoon for the soup which made eating it a little difficult. They forgot to put cream on the cheesecake. There are several restaurants in the area; my parents picked this one because it was convenient to our hotel. I would suggest going ANYWHERE except here. Even if it's cheap it's not worth the time. I could have bought a TV dinner from the Super Wal*Mart across the road and had a more satisfying meal. Edit: I am a veteran of cheap foods: diners, McDonald's, cafes, my own cooking--this really takes the biscuit. I cannot speak for the breakfast menu as we only ordered from the dinner menu.

My family was on a road trip to Oklahoma for the 4th of July. On July 3rd 2013 we had the misfortune of stopping in Hays Ks to eat. We entered a Ihop restaurant for breakfast. When we walked in there was crickets in the lobby. I asked the young guy who came to seat us about the crickets and he told me not to worry he was going to seat us in the back. I couldn't imagine what that meant and assumed it was just away from the crickets. There was only one other table occupied it the area he took us too and yes there were still crickets. We sat down and asked for water with straws. We got water that the waiter (same guy who seated us) placed on our table by picking them up by the rims instead of the bottoms. It took 15 more minutes and 3 more requests to get straws. We ordered our food about 5 minutes after being seated. Two other tables of guest were finally seated in the section we were in. Their food came, they ate and left while we still sat waiting. Finally we decided that over 45 minutes for pancakes and scrambled eggs was ridiculous, especially since others in the section we were in had been served and the people in the front of the restaurant were coming, eating, and leaving. I declared it time to leave. My granddaughter decided to speak to the manager before we left to get an explanation. The manager apologized and offered to buy us breakfast. However, being Black Americans I felt that if we could not initially be served what was to prevent our food from being tampered with after our complaint. I would suggest if you are black and you enter this Ihop and everyone turns and looks at you as if you are an anomaly, back out get in your car and drive to where you see other black people before you stop to eat in Kansas.
