I eat in this place every time I go to orthodontist appointment in Emporia. I always order food off their Chinese authentic menu. It is very tasty, however in most of their dishes they have too much vegetables especially onion and fewer meat, so this is one thing I don't like about it. But they have very good sauce though.

Cream cheese wontons?!!!??! So good... I usually try to order something different each time so I ordered pork and mushrooms on my visit this week. It was pretty dang good! So are the eggrolls. My mom, sister, me, and my sister's girlfriend all ate here and we had a 'Get $5 off when you spend $25' so my mom, not knowing how big the soup portions are, ordered two things of egg drop soup. Don't. do. that. It's delicious, but there is certainly a lot of it! : ) Good place, and cheap too!

Lovely waitress, good service, but tough meat with poor seasoning. Large portions, which in this case was not all that good n idea. Nice appetizers. Do not order a pot meal unless you have pets at home with strong teeth. May e we just ordered the wrong things.

I've never had anything bad from here. I used to go almost daily when I went to ESU which is only a couple of blocks away. All of the food I have had from here has been excellent. The staff can be a little antisocial at times, but they are likeable people. Even the waitress that is a real space cadet knows her stuff. My favorite item from here is the Coconut chicken, but you won't get a single thing that tastes bad. on a side note, If you are a larger person,as I am, get a table, as the booths are VERY close together.

The menu and website are impressive, but I would not willingly eat the food again. In fact, threw most of mine out after picking at a few items. I ordered beef soup (Pho Ga) and the mung beans were too old to eat, the beef was dried out, the lemons had no juice, and there was no basil, and only two tiny cilantro leaves. The broth was good enough that I drank some broth and threw the rest of the dinner away. If you like huge portions, and cheap food, you will like it. I would rather drink broth and go hungry. This is not 'worth the drive' from any location.

Cream cheese wontons were great. Hot & spicy green beans very good. Service was excellent. Surprised to find quality Chinese food in Emporia. Worth the drive from TX.

Chinese Cuisine

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.

Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.

There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.
