Food is always good. I love the chips and cheese dip. The smothered burritos are good too. They are really quick with the service when you order, very little wait if any at all. The only downside is that four employees were sitting in the dining room on their cell phones, and chatting with each other. That's not great.

First time trying Qdoba and the food was magnificent. My only issue is that they said my Yelp coupon for this exact location was not accepted. The coupon is for this location only!!!

It's been a while since I've been too a Qdoba. Before i go any further, let me say that the service was good. The young ladies working in there were very friendly and nice. I ordered a pretty standard chicken burrito. The quality of the ingredients were good but the finished product had no flavor whatsoever. On top of that, they don't mix up the ingredients in the burrito. This means when you get a bite, it's all beans or all rice. Half the ingredients are warm and the others are cold. Now i understand why they offer to douse them in queso. This should be fresh food that is good for you. Not some crappy cheese covered mess. Thumbs down.

I usually love t but the employee who rolled my burrito needed to not mess it up like. 5 year old and roll it falling apart

After waiting some time to try Qdoba again, my most recent visit was 100% better. The staff was attentive, the food was on point, and they gave me plenty of chips with my craft 2.

Went to Qdoba for lunch on a Saturday (Feb. 21st) with my boyfriend. He had never been there before and felt like there were a lot of choices to make. I have been before (valpo and other cities) and I felt quite a bit rushed (even though there was no one else in line)! The food was standard Qdoba quality...kind of like a Subway for Mexican food. It felt fresh and I would go back again. Also, we spent about $12 a person (food and a pop) so that's about the same as Dickey's or Panera. The three stars are totally because we were rushed for no reason at all. I could understand if there was a line...or even one other person behind us--but there wasn't! That was a great opportunity for the staff explain the food and choices to us (I pointed out that my boyfriend hadn't been there before and needed some help) but that didn't happen.

Terrible terrible terrible!! My first time going to this place I was very hesitant when I walked in, because I'm a Chipotle fan. I could barely read/understand their menu and I saw no part of the menu that had "extra charges" information on it. I ordered a vegetarian bowl. While ordering, the lady had a terrible attitude. I had no idea what I COULD get in there and what I COULDN'T. She rushed me, and FAILEd to tell me that the onions/peppers and queso were EXTRA CHARGES. What I thought would be priced a little over 6 dollars ended up being nearly 9 dollars. I will never go back here again (especially this store). Everytime I go to Chipotle, they ALWAYS tell the customer that certain things are extra, no matter how many times they think that person has been there. Qdoba is very uninformative, and all employees that day were rude. I've heard this store had a bad rep before, but I wanted to give it a try since all my friends ranted & raved about this place. In my opinion, the quality and service of Chipotle is way better, and I will stick to Chipotle over Qdoba ANYDAY. Oh, and one more thing: when I called corporate to complain (which I was very professional about) they didn't even offer me a credit or even say "we hope you're able to visit our stores again", which I thought was a terrible way to keep customers coming back. Step your game up Qdoba. ---PS: Today (10/20/13) I got an email from corporate asking about the situation and they offered me a gift certificate, so they DO in fact care about their customers. My faith has been partially restored :)

Inappropriate work behavior. Very impersonal interactions in a customer servicing restaurant habitat.

Service. Poor. To be treated as if I was being a bother? No thanks! Nothing is made properly....the veggies I got on my burrito were still raw! And this happened multiple times. Unfortunately I will never go back because of the multiple mess ups.

okay... I used to work here & am pretty sure I got fired because the manager didn't like me, but I digress... I love qdobas food. I still eat there... although usually only when I have a coupon or there's a deal. so, just went yesterday on valentines day cause they always have a BOGO deal... the deal stated that if you got one entree with queso, you got another entree for free, I also read about it on Facebook & saw some reviews/complaints people were having & qdoba said "you are not required to order an entree with queso, but they were encouraging people to" okay, cool. I ordered a BBQ burrito bowl, my bf got a queso burrito bowl. when I got to the salsa station, I only wanted corn salsa... cause its delicious. the worker told me they were out... & they were out of a lot of stuff today. alright... it was only 7:30... and that sucks, but I understand. we get to the cash register & the girl says we can't get the BOGO because my burrito doesn't have queso, we explain to her that that's not what the deal is, only 1 has to have queso, she argues with us & so we said, alright fine, put queso on it, actually, put it on the side, does that make it half price? ... and it did... so... you just wanted to give more away for free? alright... whatever, you're an idiot. then! I see someone behind us has corn salsa on their food! and low & behold there's a fresh container of corn salsa! ... seriously? are you kidding me? you just told me you were out!!! what terrible employees are you trying to keep at this place?

I am home visiting my parents and went to Qdoba today for lunch. It is fairly new and located in the same strip mall as Panera near Target, so great location. I had see Qdobas in downtown Chicago, so I was excited to try it! I had heard it was very similiar to Chipotle, which I love. I thought the menu was a little more confusing than Chipotle, but I did see many many things on it that looked tasty. As a vegetarian, I really appreciate options. There is a quesadilla, a vegetarian burrito, a grilled veggie burrito and vegetarian Mexican gumbo among others! The vegetarian burritos come with guacamole for free! I also liked that they had a breakfast menu, although we did not try it. It is similiar to Chipotle in that you choose what you would like to eat, then follow it down the "assembly line", choosing what type of beans and salsa you would like, and adding other tasty ingredients. I ordered a vegetarian burrito, and as I was going down the line, I noticed they had the normal grilled cut up peppers and onions, which I'm not a huge fan of, and they also had cut up squash and zucchini, which is different and sounded really good. My mom ordered ahead of me and had already paid while my burrito was still in progress. I asked for some of the zucchini squash mixture to be added to my burrito and the guy building it yelled to the cashier that I owed more because now my burrito was a Grilled Veggie Burrito instead of a Vegetarian burrito. The way he handled it was kind of embarrassing, especially considering the difference was 30 cents! The manager standing behind the cashier said it was not a big deal, since I had not gotten guacamole, that they would not charge me extra. This situation wasn't a deal breaker or anything, just a heads up that there IS a difference between the two burritos. I would go back and try some other things. They do have a Pick 2 section of the menu where you can choose quesadillas and gumbo, or tacos and a burrito, all in slightly smaller portions, for $5.99! Bargain!

Just went here for the first time the other day with my other half. He'd been there before without me and he was excited to go back. They have a good range of selections on the menu and a duo sampler(called Craft 2) which I chose because I couldn't decide on one thing! :) Got the chicken quesadillas and the steak tacos. The chicken is AMAZING! It's got a wonderful smokiness to it that reminded us of tailgating. The steak was dry unfortunately, but the nice thing about the tacos is that you build them yourself. They have all kinds of fresh toppings to choose from. I also had to try a side of the rice which was SO incredibly yummy. It was perfectly cooked(which I was very surprised about) and had cilantro running throughout. Also, we tried the 3-cheese queso dip which was also delicious. It's got just the right amount of back heat to give that kick after you eat it. :) I got a couple sides of hot sauce so I could experiment on my tacos. The salsa verde is okay, nothing to write home about. And the other I believe was an ancho chili sauce. That had some decent heat and good flavor. I can't wait to go back here and try something different! Great place to go for any meal...they even offer breakfast! Open 7am-10pm

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
