We were going to go to Texas Roadhouse, but their power was out, so we ended up here. Spent $100 with tip, and it was one of the worst meals I've had in a long time. Fried catfish was soggy and tasteless, salad was a bowlful of watery iceberg lettuce with crappy Bleu Cheese dressing. And the drinks? well, I don't even know how anyone could make such bad drinks . . . the frozen strawberry margarita looked like pudding, had NO alcohol, and tasted terrible. My daughters Bloody Mary was BROWN!!!! What the heck kind of tomato juice do they use??? and again, no alcohol, and tasted awful. Her chopped steak was also dry with not very much flavor. The only good thing on the table was the basket of rolls. My son in law didn't complain about his meal, but then again, he'll eat anything. Thanks a lot Nipsco. Cause of a power outage, I wasted $100. Don't waste your money . . . Go to Texas Roadhouse!!! For the same money, you get outstanding food, a great atmosphere, and fantastic drinks!

This establishment is pure garbage. First of all there sign is broken and just reads "oral" and I don't need to make a joke about that because they are just insulting themselves every day with a broken sigh. My steak tasted like gristle and I don't know if my dog would have enjoyed it. Its like they don't even try to make it look like they care, broken sign, dirty silverware, piss soaked floor in the men's room. I have no idea how the health department has not shut them down.

I loved this place when it first opened. I used to go here and order a meal with a side salad because the side salads were huge and had eggs, bacon pieces, tons of veggies, cheese and dressing. A total meal in itself I always took my entree home for later. The food was decent and the portions enough to share a meal and still feel food. Now the salads are dinky chunks of watery ice berg with a paper thing onion slice and tomato wedge and while the entrees are still huge the quality of the food has really gone down. Also the staff has really gone down as well, most don't care about their jobs or customers and i guess don't care if they get decent tips either.

I am disappointed. They force you to have soda as kid's drinks with the kid's meal. They want to charge extra to do a healthy substitution of juice or milk ($1.25). And yet they are having $0.50 beer on tap. Aren't there any laws about providing healthy food and drinks to kids at a reasonable price? What happened to good customer service?

The first time I went to Texas Corral, I was really disappointed. I gave it a second chance today and decided to write this review because I was disappointed yet again. Both times I ordered a plain sirloin and chili and both times the food was very bland and neither time was my steak cooked to the correct temperature. I like my steak rare and I make sure to ask for it "VERY RARE", so I don't get why it came out medium. For a place that pretty much specializes in steak and ribs, I'm not sure why it would be one of the most flavorless pieces of meat I've ever eaten in my life. Also, when it came out, the presentation was TERRIBLE. The fries were scattered all over the plate, the mushrooms on my steak looked like mushy bugs, and laying on the plate next to my meat was the little plastic stick that lets the server know which steak is what temp. Both times I came in, it was when it was fairly slow. I don't want to say that our service was ever "bad", but it definitely wasn't good. We were rarely checked up on and I felt guilty asking for anything. When it comes down to it, I'm mostly just sad that the food is so basic for the money and the waiters are just not very friendly. Maybe one day I'll go back and it'll be better, in which case I'd be more than happy to amend my review, but after today I don't feel any reason to hurry back.

Hello Texas coral I have been in this location several times and I have noticed business has slowed and the has gotten worse. The last two times have been horrible. On the 01/20/2015 was the worst. I had brought my fiancee in so she could have a nice steak dinner for her 39 birthday . We got seated in a great time but no one was in there . Ok well the music coming from the kitchen was so loud I could hear it in the bar . Mexican music. I couldn't hear the music in the bar. We ordered our food she ordered a med.well steak with onions and mushrooms. We get our food and her steak was not even close to med. Well it was very well onions and mushrooms were not even done they were crunchy . It was terrible. The waiter come over and asked if everything was ok . We sent it back and they cooked another one and now this one was so not done the dam thing starting walking off the plate! So we paid our bill and tried to leave that horrible steak behind but the waiter chased us done. Well it was so bad the dog won't eat it. Went here a few nights ago and will never go back. The bartender, Danielle, who claims to have worked here for sixteen years was horrible. She spent the whole time talking to people she knew, meanwhile our food came out wrong because she didn't pay attention to what we ordered because she was so worried about if her friend was going to get laid and if they were going bowling. When our food came out, burger was not cooked properly, order was wrong and sandwich was skimpy and the three pieces of meat on the sandwich were over over cooked and microwaved and dried out. Not at all worth the money and we left without eating the nasty food that was served to us.

For a steakhouse there chose of "other meals" is amazingly creative. My fiancé and I go here a lot and I often have trouble deciding what I want because I have several favorites. ( And I haven't even tried the steak yet). If you like pasta with a bit of a twist I would try the Santa Fe pasta. The dishes are large enough to bring leftovers home.
