Good food, and quickly prepared. Our server wasn't super fast - I think the tall backs of the booths make it hard to see if a customer needs something. But she was very sweet, most especially to our little guy, who she greeted and laughed with, to his great delight. I should give a 4 star just for that. I've had better food, but they have really improved since I ate here last. Not the best on the shrimp allergy thing, but once we insisted, I think she got it. Just a translation error, I think. The place looked mostly clean, just a few little things on the floor, but it's the end of the night too. I like the place, but not sure it's great enough for a 4 star.

I've driven past this place many a time and we decided to give it a try. The sparcely filled parking lot on a Sunday lunch should've been a warning. 1 server to handle half the dining room. Nothing against her but she couldn't handle it and few people could. Most importantly the food was bland and the chips were stale. With Chuys around and El rodeo, no need to bother with this place.

Sad to say that something has changed with our favorite Las Rocas. I don't know if ownership has changed, but the personnel is different. Gone are our fun and friendly waitresses who used to greet us loudly and warmly at the door. And the food and drink has changed too, and not for the better. The margarita we had today was not good at all- watered down and not fresh. The cheese dip is spicier now- and not as creamy. The guacamole, which used to be so chunky and flavorful, is now too thin, too liquid, and too spicy. The beans are a bit watery. All these things which used to be so delicious now taste cheap, average, and disappointing. The Pollo Loco Tapatio was still good, but the rest- meh! We will not be returning, which is so sad because for years this has been our favorite Mexican food place. Adios, Las Rocas.

This place isn't anything exceptional, but the service is good and so is the food. I was at a training in Noblesville and randomly decided to stop here for lunch. We were greeted by the extremely pleasant hostess and seated immediately. We were given chips and salsa, which tasted fresh. I ordered the shrimp quesadilla and it was just ok.Pretty basic. Although the service was good, the restaurant itself was nice, the food just didn't stand out.

My husband and I went to this restaurant and fell in love with the staff and the food! They treat us like family and always make us feel welcomed. I brought my son and his family there and they loved it. It is the only Mexican restaurant my family now goes to. We love the queso with chorizo dip. My favorite is the shrimp fajitas and I get chorizo cooked with it. They are always willing to please the customers. They will accommodate you in giving you your order your way. Robert the manager is very friendly and easy to talk to. Santa and Paula are two of the sweetest servers I have ever encountered! The food is a 10 plus and the margaritas are great too.

Incredibly friendly people serving you with fast service. The fajias were great, but the chili relleno needed more egg and sauce.

Absolutely hands down favorite Mexican restaurant. Love the staff, especially Santa Cruz and Fausto. Food is great. Patio is wonderful. Ask for the hot salsa and salsa verde! Our go-to dishes are the Aroz con Pollo & the carnitas tacos. Also we always get the deep-fried jalapenos as a side,

Best mexican food I've had north of Indy. The Carnitas Tacos were great. I asked for the hot salsa in addition to the regular salsa and was delighted!

Easily the best Mexican I've been to in Noblesville. Good food, good service. The owner's have run a couple of places around town before, and they've all been good-this is their best place yet. Keep it up!

Went for a late lunch this weekend with a friend. Service was extremely friendly and quick. Food was good, but nothing extraordinary. If I were in the area and in the mood for Mexican, I would probably go back, but nothing about the place stood out.

After reading the first two reviews I was skeptical about this place, but I realized that they probably suffered from what all restaurants suffer from when they first open. The most previous review had me ready to try it out. I won't mention the decor too much, only that you could tell a bit that it was a remodeled previous restaurant, but I don't really care about that. I only care about the service and the food, and I did try the burrito loco and it was absolutely fantastic. Whatever the sauce they cook that chicken (or beef if you order it that way in) is amazing. I also had a tamale which was actually quite good. I wasn't that keen on the salsa, but it wasn't bad, just not the kind I like, a little on the sweet side. The server was friendly and she even told me about how crazy it was when they first opened (after I mentioned the reviews on yelp). I highly recommend the place, mostly for the food, which is the best reason and I am quite picky.

A little history about this location for years it was a sunshine cafe *and before that a wafflehouse I believe* once sunshine cafe went under it stayed a vacant building for over 6 years which leads too.. Renovation and cleaning: It is obvious it took a little less then 2 weeks for them to clean and renovate the inside of the building which one would assume would be of major importance since it went from a american cafe interior to a Mexican restaurant with most of the floor remaining the same as it did 7 years ago except for a few cosmetic changes most of the walls they just painted over the old wallpaper *and it shows since wallpaper is starting to peel* Layout: Bathrooms are small this is of impotant note they are actually smaller then they use to be when it was a sunshine cafe the majority of the floor is dominated by booths with little to no room for proper seated tables which puts the kibosh on larger parties, the booths are small and taken up by hard tall backed benches made completely of wood with no cushions. Food: in a word horrible they got all of the orders wrong in my party, one person ordered queso sauce as a side order for her chimichanga they brought it out 20 minutes before the meal so it was cold and started to solidify by the time our food did come out. My own personal order of Enchilada ranchera's was cold and they took my cheese sauce substitution to mean I wanted absolutely no ground beef ontop and it was as though they had heated and let sit out the Enchiladas then the substitution of the usual enchilada red sauce for the chimichanga sauce poured the freshly heated queso sauce ontop because some how the enchilda's themselves were cold the cheese inside about as far from melty as they could get yet the Queso as I said was runny like it should be... Another amazing contridiction is that all of our food was cold because it had took them near 30 minutes to serve it yet they some how managed to serve cold food on plates that were so blazing hot they burned us I for one went to grab my plate to move it on the small table and dropped it because it burned me severely enough I had to run to the bathroom and hold my hand under cold water for a few minutes. Note: you may wonder how I know it has the same floor tiles, ceiling..etc Becasue when sunshine cafe was still open my father was alive and had cancer and the riverview hospital accross the street was a constant fixture in my life so I would go to sunshine cafe by myself or with my dad after his blood tests and checkups so we would constantly be in there and it has changed very little. Update:About 2 months ago my review disapeared It then appeared in the filtered area A few edits fixed that problem but it would seem that the first review of the place and the review that was posted after mine are stuck in limbo...I see no reason to change my opinion of a place that has its employee's come here to flag reviews.

I don't understand the negative reviews -- I'm wondering if they got the name wrong. I eat here probably once a week. The waitresses here are extremely friendly and nice. The food quality is good and the dishes are tasty. Not gourmet, but reliably enjoyable.

My favorite Mexican restaurant in the Indianapolis area. I think the past reviewer might have caught them when they first opened in August, as I was there that first week to, and they did seem a bit overwhelmed. ...but today, the food is fantastic and the servers are so friendly and helpful! They have even taken the time to teach my two daughters a few things in Spanish too. The Burrito Loco is to die for, covered with white cheese sauce! MMmmmm! Yes, this is not a 5 star place, and it does look like they slapped about $500 into the interior design, but what is most important anyway? Yep, that's right, the food. LOVE IT!

Friendly service, clean and welcoming atmosphere, love that they offer both Pepsi and Coke! Orders came out fast and correct. We both loved our meals. I have nothing bad to say! Two thumbs up!

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
