Always get a lot of food for the money! The food is pretty good. I try to get something new every time and haven't been disappointed. The employees are always friendly! The delivery is always fast and pick up is ready when I get there.

I've been ordering from First Wok for more than 6 years, and it's the only Chinese place in Muncie that has managed not to disappoint me at one time or another. They're awesome about taking the dishes I order ad altering it to my tastes. (Blazing hot, typically.) Even when the item specified isn't a "spicy" dish. I can count on one hand the times an order has been missing something (twice) and if you call they are quicker than lightning to fix the issue. I can't really say anything bad about First Wok.

Small place but very busy. I stopped by around 7pm to order to go. During the 10 minutes I waited at least 5 people stopped by to pick up their order. I really enjoyed the seafood soup. Next time I'll ask for extra spicy kung pao chicken which was pretty good.

First of all, don't believe the delivery area posted online, it's all lies. We were well within the boundaries and had order with no problem before, and this time we had a really big order, but we didn't get that far because we were told very rudely that they would not deliver to us. We were actually hung up on. If you are looking for quality food and service, might I suggest China Kitchen on Tillotson? You'll thank me later.

The dining room is dreadful, but the food is consistently good and the kitchen appears to be clean and well kept. This is the only place I order Chinese food from now.

Muncie, IN: Chinese Take Out with a dining room. So I'm nowhere near a Chinatown and need to judge this Chinese Carry Out place fairly. It's always a struggle to draw that line of authenticity for cuisine in a location where the named ethnic group is in the minority. I will say that I was on the hunt for a low fat, and low sodium entree tonight. Hubby just wanted something nourishing. We dined in. His choice was the Beef and Snow peas, 8 ounces size. The snow peas, with water chestnuts, were cooked nicely and looked very attractive on top of the steamed white rice. There was a goodly amount of beef, but they were lacking tenderness. He had his nourishment. I was excited to see several options labled "Healthy" . The kind lady taking my order was patient and made several suggestions. I settled on a Combo of a half sized serving of Steamed Chicken with Mixed Vegetables, pork fried rice, a crab rangoon, and an egg roll. That egg roll was light and flakey, and thickly filled with what appeared to be some sort of shredded vegetables. That was the highlight of my meal. The cream cheese of the crab rangoon sat on a soggy section of fried won ton skin. I sent my entree back because the chicken meat was cold while the veggies were warm. It was graciously remedied. The accompanying soy based sauce mixture was too salty to use so I sprinkled on my own light seasoning blend. The pork in the saffron colored fried rice was miniscule. I normally don't consume fortune cookies so I did not miss that typical dessert, which would've been an additional charge. Additionally, although we dined in, our food was served on styrofoam. Seeing the Chinese characters written next to a list of dishes not on the printed menu was intriguing. Wish I'd seen it before I had ordered. The owner was there and had immigrated from China. Does that makee this a legitimate Chinese food venue? I've had better but appreciate the healthier options.

This place is great in that they were early to cater to the large chinese student body at BSU. Although not on the printed menu, there's a marker board of 10 or so "authentic" options. I've probably tried 5-6 and they're all pretty good. Other times, I've seen employees with their special meals and the staff has been happy to accommodate. Dumpling House is gonna give them a run for their money in terms of real ethnically Chinese food, but First Wok is nothing to sneeze at.

A quiet sketchy place to order food at night, however I love the Singaporean rice noodles here! I ordered pork fried rice and noodles, both tasted delicious. Come here to get your quick Asian fix if you are staying near Holiday Inn, Hampton Inn, or Fairfield Inn!
