We thought we would try this new place in the Village. The poutine and pretzels were great. I got the chicken fried chicken and Tonya got the Fish. Both were great. Kyle enjoyed the boneless wings. Good place for the family.

I'm giving this three stars provisionally---it could go up, it could go down. I have to admit that I have a negative predisposition to this place because it is in the monstrous building that was put in the Village that required the tearing down if the quaint brick buildings that were there before. It's unfortunate that no one ever put a good restaurant in one of those. (there was a equally hideous building across the street that was also torn down--I don't really miss that one) In any event, though the decor is pretty standard "bar" decor they get bonus points in my book for a huge neon "Duesenberg Straight 8" sign. That is a point a pride for Indiana--so good call. There are plenty of TV's here if watching sports is your thing. However, there is a weird bar that goes around the bar. It is sort of an odd space to eat or drink, because you're by default in everyone else's way. I think this "bar" is actually there to comply with the Indiana law that requires a "barrier" between the bar and the rest of the restaurant if minors are to be present. On the food. It's pretty standard bar food. I had some mac n'cheese that was pretty good, and a burger that was pretty so so, and some fried green beans that were pretty greasy. The bartenders and waitresses are all on point, though. If I just happened to be in there on a bad food day, I'll raise my review next time!

Being that there are a lower number of students at BSU, we took the opportunity to visit the campus businesses. We opted for BROTHERS, and are happy that we did. Our waitress was great, as was the food. The one issue, that kept the ranking from "excellent," was that the kettle chips were hard to digest; as in cooked in old grease. The facility is great, with a great option for seating. There are pool tables, in the bar area, & outdoor seating, if weather permits.

Full of college kids. Nice establishment. Nothing too much to say about it beyond that. I'm not the college kid bar going type, so I wasn't impressed. Avoid if you're an adult who's not a bro or if you're not interested in dealing with a lot of 21 year olds. If you like that sort of thing, definitely check it out.

Great atmosphere, decent craft beer selection, priced about right, the pulled pork spring rolls were in a word AMAZING. We had no trouble getting seated, even on a busy Saturday night. Our server was good, maybe just a slight over attentive. If you think Scotty's is the only game on campus, well think again. I recommend this place over Scotty's.

Visited this place while in town this past weekend. Place was pretty nice with plenty of tv's to watch the games. manager was pretty cool and changed the channels whenever we had a request. The bar had plenty of beers on tap, but good luck keeping your glass full. Several times I waited to be helped when my glass was empty and the place was not even busy. When we did ask for help the bartender acted as if we were disturbing her. Against my better judgement I gave her a good tip and regretted it afterwards. I may give them another chance next time I am in town but I am not looking forward.

Great atmosphere for a college town bar! By far the best bar in the village if you're looking for the best combination of food/prices/people!

The lovely former GF and I ventured in on a dreary Muncie Friday afternoon..to a.wide open space....not terribly charming, but cool neon on the walls that, even if accidental, was appropriate for being in former "auto industry" town. Probably pretty damn noisy when crowded. Bathrooms were quite nice....I especially enjoyed loitering in the womens restroom. A decent choice of craft beers, fairly well chosen, and properly poured. The charming blonde bartender....who unfortunately cut her hand while cleaning.....put up with a lot of crap from moi....whilst my charming company recoiled in embarrassed horror. Dammit....I can't remember her name (speech therapist or something major)...anyway....she was a lot of fun and very playful....a very bright woman who sparred with me/us very well....we appreciated the fun repartee and the attention...as most places the bar staff disappears to yap with their co-workers. HELLO ?? Your co-workers don't have lot to do with your income!! I mention this....mostly because we were at Scottys the previous day....and the bartenders were no fun at all ! I can be a very difficult person to deal with if you are easily offended...but if you are a fun and reasonably quick and witty person with an actual personality...you might have fun as well. She shared stories about her family....music festivals....and was very much an outstanding goodwill ambassador for the bar. Chicken tenders were certainly decent....surprisingly "moist"....dipping sauces were quite good as well....my only critique would be the dearth of healthy menu items...but...this is a sports bar in a college town.....and in fat Indiana. So many places don't get it...have a fun person with at least an inkling of a personality as the host/hostess....and hire convivial and entertaining bartenders.....and.....low and behold people come back ! and write positive reviews. Fun and engaging staff can compensate for a bad kitchen....slow service...etc. I am often in the area....and previously tolerated the efficient...but not inspired or terribly friendly/fun service at Scottys...and now will go to Brothers.....as long as they schedule fun and smart bartenders !

What a fun place. Lots of beer options and the appetizers! In fact, we never got past the appetizers. You can't go wrong here for an afternoon out on the patio.

The server we had was nice and helpful. But she could not cover the bad cuisine. Food was expensive for the bad quality. We might come back to try the burgers. Maybe it was an off night. So my review could be better next time... The two worst food items were the stale fries (may be good fresh) and the "Spanish rice" that came with my tacos. The rice tasted gross and like it came from a microwaveable pouch (not appropriate for a sit-down restaurant). The mahi fish tacos were not flavorful. The six cheese Mac and cheese was also pretty bland. The queso sauce tasted like it came out of a jar. Sooo, let's hope next time, if there is one, will be better.

Brothers is a newer bar in Muncie but has other locations as well. The burgers are great! I've had the stuffed smokehouse and the lone tree burger and neither disappointed. I would recommend others to visit. Plus plenty of tvs!!
