Great family owned Irish restaurant. This place can get really busy as they're only open for breakfast and lunch. The biscuits and gravy are awesome. Very friendly, comfortable place!!!

Cheap and yummy. My husband and I split the loaded biscuits and gravy got side order of oatmeal and hash browns. Loaded b n g came with biscuits then eggs and cheese with gravy and sausage crumbled on top. Gravy was excellent. Great consistency, and flavor. Small place so get there earlier then you think to get a seat otherwise you'll be waiting.

Have visited this restaurant a couple of times. Since their breakfast food is so great- they are busy and thus the service can be inconsistent. Will say that the biscuits and gravy is the best I have ever eaten- just great.

I give it a three because the food was very good. However , the service was awful. There was 4 tables of people when I walked in . I sat at counter and was greeted by one waitress who got my coffee and proceeded to tell me that somebody else would be with me in a minute. 10 minutes later I was given a menu and another 5 to 8 minutes after that my order was taken, again the food was great just the service was awful

We had a great breakfast Eggs cooked perfect., crispy hashbrowns, and the biscuits are also perfect! Great prices... Today we came later and ther was no wait, however, it is with the wait if there is a line out the door.

Don't listen to any of those negative comments. This place is amazing. Staff is on top of it and everything is made from scratch. It's the last of the old fashioned coffee shops. If you are in Mishawaka it is worth a stop for breakfast or lunch.

After a 20 minute wait, we were hopeful. If they had a busboy, there would be no wait. omelet wasn't bad, but they charged $2 to put bacon into it, tho it only said $1.30 on the menu.Nothing but toast for a side on the omelet, girlfriend had Tims tasters, which she said were not bad but the hash browns were gross.Had to ask another waitress for cream for the coffee, as the first waitress must have forgotten about us. Not horrible, but we will not be going back there. Those who put cheap and great food must have been talking about long ago and far away, as it all was mediocre at best. Also the bathroom was scary. Will continue to go to the Iconic downtown Mishawaka, that we just discovered.Mac a don't

Lets start with 5 stars and go from there..... Waitress: Polite, always smiling despite the grief she was getting from other customers. She was working as hard as she could to please everyone but she was outnumbered. She gets 5 stars. Management needs to evaluate and adjust the staff-to-customer ratio much better. Wait time: 17 minutes from seating to greeting. -2 stars Food: Ordered the Corn Beef Hash platter. Eggs: cooked to perfection. Hash: Portion size was a little small despite this being the feature of the plate. (I didn't get the "taster") It was a bit over-seasoned. Ordered Rye toast but got white. No water offered. This should always be offered. -1 stars

My family and are looking for a new place to eat Sunday brunch. This will not be the place. The sign on the door said they were open until 1 so I checked when we got there at 12:45 if it was OK to be seated. After the hostess checked, she said it would be fine but we would have to order right away. After she seated us at a dirty table, the four of us quickly decided what we wanted to eat. We waited for about 15 minutes and no one came to even ask a drink order. The servers knew we were there, they had all walked passed us. If you are going to say you are open until 1, be open until 1.

I've heard about how good the biscuits and gravy are for quite some time, so I finally tried it...complete disappointment. The gravy was not properly seasoned and the biscuits were just like Grands, even the American fries were a greasy mess. For a place that calls itself the biscuit and gravy depot they certainly could use some help in the flavor department!

We were first unsure but what the heck always want to try something different. Mishawaka is an old town but very nice scenery. Reminded me of neighborhoods from the 1960's. When we first arrive we knew this was going to be a pleasant experience. Carol, our waitress, seemed very personable and ready to explain the menu. My eyes went straight for the biscuits and gravy. Wow , indeed a true original! Just wonderful to eat it and how it reminded of country living. My husband had the meat lovers omelette (3 eggs with sausage, ham, and bacon) with lots of cheese. My husband's eyes nearly popped out of his eye sockets when it was placed in front of him. The omelette was huge compared to what we are used to and for the price tag $7.25 with a biscuit, toast, or pancake on the side. I tried to convince him to try the carrot cake pancakes but up to no avail. He chose the biscuit my luck. The waitress also recommended to try a cinnamon roll with pecans. I declined because I felt as if I would have to be rolled out of this restaurant when I was done. Anyway I caved in to the pecan cinnamon roll. The amount of pecans on this cinnamon roll was too hard to pass on. So delicious better than the Cinnabon hands down. Made from scratch with love.. All the waitresses were friendly and ready to serve refills of water and coffee. Great homestyle cooking for the prices. This is better than eating at those food chains. If I could give them 10'stars I would have... Oh just reminder they close at 2:00.

I have been dining at MacAdoo's in its many incarnations for over 20 years and although I no longer live in the area, I make it a point to go back whenever I am in town, It is small and it is busy but it is also the best in the area. I read some bad reviews and am sorry for their poor experience (except for the one who went for brunch at 1245). Doos just isn't a brunch place and has never presented itself as one. The corned beef hash if available is the best I have ever had and I have had it all over the country. Like I said, there is no pretention here, just honest, fresh, well prepared food.

We had our first visit to Macadoo's over the weekend for breakfast. The place was packed but we were able to get two seats at the small counter. The menu is standard breakfast fare and you notice their "almost famous biscuits and gravy" mentioned numerous places throughout the restaurant. We opted for coffee and our server enticed us with their $0.95 cinnamon special which we split to start. It was huge, but light and not as dense as some cinnamon rolls. The glaze was overly sweet. My fiance loves biscuits and gravy, but has not been able to find one he absolutely loves. He ordered the Tim's Taster which had a half order of biscuits and gravy, home fries with cheese and gravy on top, sausage patties. two eggs and a side of toast...definitely on the heavy side, but he said it was pretty good. I ordered their skillet, which did not have a description on the menu. I was expecting the standard breakfast skillet with potatoes, eggs, cheese, etc. It's my fault for not asking what was included. The plate arrived covered in sausage gravy of which I am not a fan. The plate consisted of a layer of home fries with cheese, scrambled eggs (which were cooked perfectly) topped with two huge sausage patties and covered in gravy. Fortunately I was able to scrap the gravy off. The portion was huge so if it sounds appealing, I would recommend a half order. Prices were reasonable - our breakfast for two was less than $20. We would go back and I would definitely try something different.

Long distance relationships are not the easiest thing in the world, so when I met my girlfriend who comes from Mishawaka, we had our challenges to overcome. During my first visit to her hometown she just had to take me to this MacAdoo's place... I am so glad she did. I've been here many times now and every time I get one thing for breakfast... The LA Style French Toast. It is the best French toast I've ever had. No syrup needed because the cinnamon swirl bread comes with a cinnamon-buttery glaze thing that is amazing. I never use it all but its there for your pleasure. I anticipate eating it every time I'm heading into town because we usually go there one of the mornings. The joint is a little small and so on busy mornings it can be a bit cramped while you wait. Still, the seating is fine and you don't have someone's butt in your face while you eat. The staff is friendly and efficient. My girlfriend always enjoys her food here too. I have had a few of their sides and between my experience and how people appear around me, the menu is delightful. They also have a breakfast burrito type challenge which offers patrons to eat a $20 dollar meal and if they are able to eat the item, its free. Many people have failed but you can also see the photos of those who have lived to survive the challenge. All in all, I love coming here. Its cozy atmosphere, enjoyable employees, and legendary french toast makes it a must stop for breakfast when in Mishawaka.

Out waitress was rude but the other staff were friendly. Our sausage and gravy came out warm and was all right. It was busy so we had the rest of our order to go. This would have been three stars but our waitress left us a bad first impression.

Best breakfast in the area. I usually get an omelette with biscuits and a side of gravy. Tim's taster is a great value too. Coffee is good. Great cheap breakfast!

Just had biscuits and gravy. Small menu, which I like. Usually means fresh ingredients and they do it right.

For a restaurant that specializes in biscuits and gravy, I'd expect them to be better. Not bad by any means, but not "oh wow, these are awesome." The omelets are ok, but nothing to rave about. Sometimes there is a wait, as the restaurant isn't that big and some folks just seem to hang out for an extended period.

Good food with low prices. I've only eaten breakfast there, but that's where they shine. Friendly atmosphere.

Very welcoming environment. All of the staff is friendly and kind. Samantha was my server and she is awesome! My 2 year old loved his Mickey Mouse shaped pancake and the loaded biscuits and gravy is possibly the best I've ever had! Would recommend anyone in the area to come here. Also the prices are great!
