The No. 1 Chinese Restaurant is certainly no. 1 in Martinsville (out of two restaurants, that is), and it would likely rank fairly highly among all Chinese restaurants. The food is usually pretty good, especially the lo mein. They always pack their lo mein and rice containers extremely tightly; it's a wonder how they got it shut as well as they did. The only really negative aspect of this place of business I can think of is that they don't accept cards, so be aware of that.

One of the best Chinese take-outs around. General Tso and crab ragoon with red sauce, mmmm...

I love this place. It's been family owned forever and it's a local place. The idea is take-out, however, there is a small dining room with about 6 tables if you prefer to eat in. I love the Sweet and Sour Chicken. It comes with pork fried rice and egg roll. I also like the cashew chicken as well. They take cash only, so be prepared for that. If you don't have cash, the Koger next door has a Citizens Bank ATM.

Good food but the major flaw with this restaurant is that they do not take debit/credit cards, CASH ONLY. They make you walk to a nearby Kroger to get money from an ATM. Really should consider getting a credit card reader, major inconvenience.

This is the best Chinese food I have ever had and i have tried a lot of different Chinese restaurants all over the country, I have been coming here for years. I would give it 5 stars but the fact that they don't accept credit cards makes me give them 4 stars. Food is absolutely fantastic though, and they always make your food in an acceptable amount of time. The owners are very friendly. I highly recommend this place.

I had the Chinese food and it was pretty ok. I really got full and would highly recommend this for filling up. If you want something for a health purpose this is not for you

The only good place to eat in Martinsville. Bring cash. Really one of my favorite places for Chinese anywhere.

We order food to go from here time to time. Always fast and good. Only down fall is its not really meant to eat inside. If u our getting it to go you won't be disappointed for the taste and price worth it.

Chinese Cuisine

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.

Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.

There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.
