Great lunch! Breaded tenderloin and potato salad were great. Atmosphere is really cool!

Food was OK but nothing to rave about. They seemed to be more concerned about their restaurant name than they did about customer service. Portions were small and the food was mediocre. The prices were not in accordance with quality and quantity served however. Bread is store type large toast variety. When we went there they were still allowing smoking. I asked if we could be seated in a non smoking area and the waitress just looked at us as if we were nuts. I expected better service and food after seeing my bill. I usually leave a good tip whenever we go out to dinner even if the food is lousy but the service is OK, not great but OK. I did not have to worry about either at the Mill. It is really too bad this place has all the opportunities of being a great place to eat and be with friends. Unfortunately they have not taken the opportunity.

Dining at The Mill was the worst dining experiene of my life! One waitress, one bartender (the owner) and not even busy yet it took over an hour for the waitress to take our order and another hour before anyone's food arrived...and I didn't even get what I ordered...the waitress didn't put in the right order..there was no attempt to correct this and absolutely no apology for getting it wrong. There were several of us in our party and not one of us will return to this place. How they manage to stay in business is beyond me!!!

Don't waste your time...the "Jamaican Blackened Fish" was underdone, looked like it was previously frozen (my portion had freezer burn on it), and was slathered with a cheap version of sweet salsa. Vegetables were cold and tasteless...our friend had a grilled Chicken Caesar which was the safest item on the menu it seemed. When we asked to have all of our fish entrees taken away, the waitress seemed concerned. We ordered pizza as a replacement (we were then leary of any fish on the mini-menu) which took much longer than it should have. It was mediocre at best. When we questioned the total of the bill - which, by the way, they CHARGED US for the iceberg lettuce salad and cold vegetables that were INCLUDED with the underdone fish, the owner/bartender/manager was P-O'd that we would not pay for the cold veggies and inadequate salad. He huffed away, offered NO APOLOGY for the lousy meal and grabbed our signed receipt. Good news - the wine is uber-cheap (but also not great), so we drank our way through a lousy meal. We'll never go back....did I mention we had to ASK to have the heat turned on?

Last August, my husband and I attended my high school reunion at The Mill. I will say that it is a little on the pricey side but all in all the food, ambiance, the intimacy of the upstairs seating, and servers were awesome. We would definitely go there again.

This place has a wonderful atmosphere and just about all of the ingredients to make it a good restaurant yet it fails to impress. I have tried this place several times and always hoped that it would pull through. The food is tasteless and cold, the service is incinsistent, the bartender has the personality of a tree stump, and they still allow smoking in there...what year is it?! Get with the program. In addition to that there have been instances where I was overcharged for my drinks. It was quickly corrected when I pointed it out but I got the feeling it wasn't really an accident...both times. In a nutshell, this place could thrive under new ownership or management.

I've eaten here several times, each time hoping that maybe the last visits were unfortunate flukes. PRICE Waaay overpriced. Food is not even good and is clearly frozen and warmed up. MENU The menu is minuscule at best, and insanely overpriced. They literally have only one fish, chicken, and beef entree for dinner choices. They also have one fish, one beef, and one chicken sandwich. Terrible menu. TABLE BREAD The bread is Texas Toast that you buy frozen from the grocery store. Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me 20+ times over three years, shame on me. Won't be back.

I'm guessing they have revamped the menu if the previous comments are correct. They had several items on the menu to choose from. I had a hand breaded tenderloin that was really good. The service was good and the view was awesome! I didn't go here for several years because I heard so many negative comments and I wish I had. I have been missing out! I also thought the prices were average for this type restaurant. There is no other restaurant that can compare with the view alone in Marion! We will be back every time we visit Marion Indiana!

The Mill is known in Marion for being what most would consider the nicest restaurant in town. It overlooks the waterfall on the river that flows through a majority of Marion. As for the inside, it has very high ceilings with nice, subtle decorations. My (now fiancee) then girlfriend came here before our senior prom (romantic, I know, haha). We were politely lead upstairs and to a seat with both a great view and comfortable seating. We first ordered the crab-cakes for an appetizer, which were cooked to absolute perfection. Delicately crispy on the outside, while nice and tender on the inside. Following that we both had absolute amazing entrees, although can't remember exactly what we had. I do know that it was chicken and it was beyond delicious. For desert we shared the raspberry cheesecake, which was a perfect way to end a great meal. Overall to sum it up, the service was great, the atmosphere was amazing, and the food was impeccable. I will without a doubt be going back in the future.

This place has a lot of good things going for it. First if all it is one of the few waterfront restaurants in Marion. Secondly, most dining is upstairs so you can take advantage of the view. On Monday nights, they have specials on burgers and domestic beers. However, their menu on other nights has an array of choices from pasta to sandwiches to steak to seafood. A good place to get lunch or dinner or just to have a few drinks. This place is locally owned and operated. In fact you'll most likely see the proprietor behind the bar.

This was where we had our rehearsal dinner for our wedding. We had heard great things about the restaurant, and my dad enjoyed this place very much. However, we had the worst service ever. Our party was the only group in the place, yet it still took nearly 2 hours to get our food. Also, the appetizers were already cold when they brought them out to us. They charged way too much because it was a large party. Overall, this was a huge disappointment.

Remodeled historic dam adjacent to Downtown Marion. Good food and a great view of the river! Can usually find the owner behind the bar. The Dam Deli is now open downstairs for lunch during the week. A great place for large gatherings and parties.
