It's good, but I think what makes it so good for me is that it's nostalgic. I don't live in Logansport anymore. Rarely do I visit when Sycamore is open, but when I do, I will make a trip to Sycamore to eat the ice cream of my youth.

Great frozen custard. Vanilla and chocolate fresh each day, along with a rotating daily selection. I highly recommend the black raspberry and egg custard. The must-get is the hot turtle sundae with hot caramel, hot fudge, and pecans. The novelties are made on site as well. Sycamore has a small selection of hot food as well- I'm partial to nachoes with cheese, spanish sauce, and jalapenos. A few benches for seating on the side of the building. Note the sycamore tree in front- it replaces the namesake tree which met its demise ten or more years ago. Perfect as is, and better with a trip to the Riverside Park carousel and minigolf.

Can this place get any better??? NO !!! Went twice in 3 days. UNREAL. Super service and the best I have ever had in my life. Wish they were open year round. I can not say enough good things about this amazing place. The girls working there are awesome and super friendly and helpful. What a class act and a throwback to the old days of stellar customer service and perfect food. This stuff is so creamy and delicious. How can this not be in DD&D T.V. show??

I will NEVER say anything negative about this place. Sycamore is something I wake up and realize I'm living in LA and I'm too far away to get a raspberry fruit chiller or chocolate ice cream waffle cone. Out of every ice cream place i have ever gone to, Sycamore is by far my favorite. I didn't really grow up going too often but in my teenage years I was there every week! Nice employees and fast service. If someone is driving near Logansport, you HAVE to stop here and eat something! Their food is even amazing. Nachos with banana peppers or their chili cheese dog...ugh I have to stop now. Miss it already!!

Driving from coast to coast you may never encounter a more evocative bit of Americana. The Sycamore is well worth the significant detour from the turnpike. Go ahead and embrace the whole experience. As you eat your frozen custard, walk down to Riverside Park and ride the carousel. Yeah ... they have a carousel. This place is like being on a movie set.
