Great food great service. You have to get the mushrooms on your steak. By far best steakhouse in town

The food is great and the service is usually pretty good it can be a hit or miss. However last time I went we had a server Brittany who was amazing and I would definitely recommend sitting in her section!

Hands down the most mediocre steak I've ever had. Both me and my date ordered medium rare sirloins and got a distinct medium. Sent it back and got medium again. Service was fine. Just disappointing.

First time here and had a great time with family. We missed the great weekday specials, which look like a great deal, but I'm happy with what we got on a Sunday lunch. Because it was my first time, we got a free sampler plate of sides: The little cups were a nice snack, and my little son LOVED the sweet potato covered in marshmallows and brown sugar butter... The bread and butter was very tasty. I ordered the Filet Medallions * "Three tender filets (9 oz. total) topped with your choice of Peppercorn or Portobello Mushroom sauce. Served on a bed of seasoned rice." The ceasar salad that came with it was drowning in dressing, so next time I'd order light dressing, but the actual filets were uber tender and simply delicious. I got the portobello mushroom sauce and was impressed with the quality of the steak! I'd absolutely get it again. Side of corn was delicious too. Rice was good, but needed just a touch more cooking. My cousin ordered the BBQ chicken and she was very happy with it. The kids meals of Chicken Tenders came with a side, and it was very good. It was pretty busy, and is a casual restaurant - peanuts in barrels for you to shell, the kind of "down home" fun feel. It's not my ideal of a romantic date night since it can get kinda loud, but it's PERFECT for family dinner out. There was one thing that I did not like: the floors were super slick and I almost fell. Not a good way to impress me, but the server was really attentive and friendly. The refills kept coming well before we even thought about asking for a refill. The portions were huge (always a plus with me, as I love keeping it family-style and sharing bites with everyone.

They are not even that busy. 10 minutes to see someone. No peanuts. Drink order water and beer been 6 minutes and counting. A lot of waitstaff ( kids) standing around talking. Close to walking out.

I've never ordered carry out from here without them forgetting something significant. Butter, rolls, salad dressing, extra sides... It's always something. Maybe 17 y/o girls aren't the best option for handling large food orders.

Sorely disappointed in this Texas Roadhouse. I've been to several different locations and this one simply misses the mark. First place I encountered a rude person in Indianapolis, that would be our server here. Ordered a medium plus steak and got rare, when I pointed it out she just looked at me and then asked my daughter how hers was. I asked for the loaded mash and she stared and me and repeated, "sweet potato, baked, or mash?" I will try it again since it was the server and not the food.

My partner and I came to Lafayette to visit some friends. They happened to have a $25 gift card to Texas Roadhouse so we went ahead and came to the Roadhouse for a nice relaxed dinner and that's exactly what we got. The dining facilities are very close to other patrons but that didn't keep us from enjoying ourselves at our table. The service was very prompt and polite. Our server was fantastic and quick. We could see he had at least 7 to 8 tables at the time and several large parties but he was always on top of everything. The beer was fantastic. The sirloin steak was cooked exactly how I asked. Thank you very much Texas Roadhouse for a great experience!

Sat at the bar and ordered a filet cooked medium, food runner delivered plate stated it was a sirloin as she placed it in front of me. Asked bartender about mix up, he confirmed that it looked like a sirloin, it was also cooked medium well. Bartender went and got the manager who argued with me that it was a filet. I visited this restaurant earlier in the week and order the exact same meal and they looked nothing alike. Manager stated that all cuts of meat are different and that's why there was a difference. I told manager it wasn't a problem, I just didn't want to be charged for the filet. The manager refused to acknowledge the mistake. I have never had an experience like this at this location, very unhappy!

This is the place to go for party's. But don't invite 20 people like one of my friends. You will be waiting more then an hour for tables. Sign up to their email and get a gift on your birthday. Same go for ever restaurant you like. I go here for the ribs which is the best. But I only go during special times like birthdays or party's.

Busy or slow always good service. Been here a ton for lunch and dinner. I love the food. Much better than "Out back steak house". Great priced for the food.

This was the first time I ever ate at this chain, and if I never eat here again, that would be fine with me. Texas Roadhouse embodied everything I dislike about chain restaurants. The teenaged waitstaff was surly and really needs a lesson in the concept of hospitality. Portions were large, but the food was bland and not well prepared. Not only that, but it came out of the kitchen in record time, which makes you wonder how much care is put into the preparation. So again, once was enough. Absolutely no desire to go back.

I went here with a friend for dinner. She doesn't eat red meat, so I was a little concerned about the menu options for her. Fortunately, there were plenty available. She ordered the smothered chicken with veggies and rice. I got the half-rack of ribs, a side salad with honey mustard, and macaroni and cheese (surprise!). They don't list the mac & cheese on the sides, but you can ask for it and it's 99 cents extra. Our server barely stopped by our table. Although the restaurant was busy, I expected better service for the number of employees milling around. The food arrived fairly quickly. I love their side salads here; they add so much more than the usual side salads, like egg. Their honey mustard is amaaazing. I love it. The ribs were also fall-off-the-bone tender, and quite tasty. The macaroni and cheese, though, was straight from the box. I was so disappointed to see that. I could whip it up if I had a nice blue Kraft box in front of me; why did I pay an extra 99 cents and waste a side order on that? I expected steakhouse mac & cheese, the creamy kind. I could practically taste the cheese powder. All in all, I won't be going out of my way to eat at Texas Roadhouse again. (Even if we did get to sit at the Willie Nelson table!)

Texas Roadhouse is all about steak, and they do it very well. Their early-bird specials are a good deal. On the few occasions when they haven't gotten the steak done the way I ordered it, they were gracious about redoing it, without the attitude that sometimes accompanies a slip up at other restaurants. The manager, Scott Eaker, is a real pro.

We came on a Saturday night and had about a thirty minute wait. The food was very good and the service was also very good.

Its got an obscenely long wait time, doesn't come close to the ones in TX and if you are brown as I am and walk in some people will stop and gawk at you, staff included. The only reason it got 2 stars is because the service we got was good, and the whole rep it had going for itself.

Just look at the line in the door and you will see how great the food and service is. Every night the place is standing room only!

They won't take reservations for parties over 6. What's up with that? They just turned away business.

For Lafayette this is OK steak. I've had way better, but it's not horrid. The cinnamon butter they serve with the rolls is by far the best thing they serve here. Sad really. The service is also simply OK. Depends on your server, some are great, others really are horrid. Your best chance for decent service is to sit at the bar. Even then it's hit or miss with service. The on tap beer selection leaves a lot to be desired. After talking to one of the owners, they are simply scared to add small batch local brews. I personally think this would help their bar crowd and word would get around, but who am i?? If you go here and feel the same way about local beers, talk to the owners. Maybe if enough of us chime in, they will make a change. Doesn't hurt to try.

Was in there again today with all my kidos minus two- I thought the food and service were on point! The restaurant was packed to the rafters but we still got our bread refills, drink refills, plates cleared!! We were so pleased with our visit! I highly recommend coming here!!

I had a great experience here tonight that deserves recognition. A young man named Adam served me tonight and was friendly, professional and quick to bring whatever I needed. I didn't have to ask for anything. Adam brought a refill of my drink just before my glass was empty and my check at the perfect time after asking if I saved room for dessert. I think I may have been there a total of 35 minutes which was nice. The whole service went like clockwork. The steak was cooked just how I like it and was very tasty. No need for steak sauce. Good job Adam. I think anyone else who he served would agree that the service and attention Adam gives all his customers makes the meal and dining experience so much better. Good job Adam

This location, next to the Tippecanoe Mall, is a local favorite and it is always, always busy and packed. They are not open for lunch; dinner only. I've visited and reviewed other locations, but strangely have missed this one. I usually get the ribs here, but was recently disappointed so I tried the country baked sirloin. That thing was HUGE. The steak is smothered in a crispy coating, and generously topped with your choice of creamy or brown gravy. I went all-in with the creamy gravy. The gravy and breading are very peppery, but not too much so. I could not eat the whole thing. Service is friendly. We were there on a Tuesday, which is Kid's Night, and that may explain why it was so busy. (Although we got a table almost right away because we called ahead.) We also got to see the person dressed up like an armadillo who was there to entertain the kids. Maybe he/she has a name. I don't know.

The best steak for the money, in Lafayette. I always get a great steak here. The sauteed mushrooms are great too. Most people don't know you can order your steak by the ounce, this way you always great a fresh cut steak. The largest I've had is 20 ounces & it was great.

The best salmon I've ever had! The steak is also really good, and I love the rolls with cinnamon butter.

I personally like their ribs a lot... I have had ribs in many different places including some of the best BBQ places in Memphis but I still like Texas Roadhouse ribs better. They always have a lot of meat and it falls out of the bone really easy. The steaks are a hit and miss in my opinion unless you get the filet medallions that so far have been always good in any of the chain locations I have been to. And of course, the rolls with the irresistible butter... So hard to don't eat the whole basket!!
