Excellent service, calm atmosphere, and delicious omelets. A welcome break from traveling on the tollway.

If you're in LaPorte for breakfast, be sure to eat here. But if you're in LaPorte, you already know that. Everyone who is anyone, and most people who aren't, go to Round the Clock, but it's a big place, so the wait won't be long. Breakfast is good and there is plenty to choose from.

The servers are usually quiet good and attentive, however, I have had several issues with food being wrong, or finding nasty things in my food, so the kitchen staff obviously need to step up! At one point I found corn in my mashed potatoes, and was informed that they hadn't had corn for a few days, so where did it come from? I don't think I want to know!!!

We came here on a Saturday for a late morning breakfast. I absolutely adored the setup of this place. It was one building, but on the inside, it was made up of partitions setting the whole place up to look like separate rail cars. And yes, there was a smoking section. And that one in particular was set up to look like a subway car, with sliding doors and everything (That had to be a pain in the ass for the waitstaff, though.) The breakfast menu was gigantic, to say the least. I didn't know where to start! Did I want biscuits and gravy, crepes with strawberries, or potato pancakes? Well, I decided, since I had my fill of sausage gravy the day before, to have the strawberry crepes with a side of potato pancakes with applesauce. I was glad I didn't get a full order of potato pancakes. They just were not that good. Maybe I was spoiled all my life by my Mom's homemade ones, but these were sad in comparison. They were square in shape, and almost looked to be deep-fried. But whereas I was let down with the potato pancakes (but the homemade applesauce was delicious) the strawberry crepes were fantastic. First off, they used real strawberries, so there was no ten tons of sugary syrup covering my plate, and the crepe itself was perfect! A good spot for breakfast. But just look out when in the bathroom. It's clean, it works, but never mind the little old lady handing out religious tracts. It's kind of creepy.

The place is always really dirty, the food is mediocre and I usually end up on a date with the Porcelain King 30 minutes after leaving. I don't need to pay to hang out in my bathroom. No. Thank. You.

I really liked the place. Maybe because there wasn't much to compare it to but it was still solid food. Train theme was interesting but not overwhelming. Staff was friendly and attentive. Breakfeast was tasty. I was really hoping for some good home cooked hash but they still prepped the canned stuff well. The menu is extensive. Would have liked to try some of the lunch items. Pies looked good but didn't get around to them. Good solid meal at a fair price.

The portion sizes are huge, but the floor is always dirty. You decide what is more important.

Went here all the time when I lived in LaPorte, especially for breakfast. TONS of food choices, HUGE portions, and a great price. Service is hit or miss, with some days being fast and friendly, other days being ridiculous. I can't suggest one menu item over another, everything is good. It's exactly what you would expect from a family dining restaurant with Senior Life and some contractor or dog grooming cards on the bulletin board. When it comes to the family diner, however, great service is what I crave most. When I'm eating home cooking, I want to feel like I'm at home. If they even that out, I'll throw in another star!

The food is average and over priced. In hard times the menu continues to rise with the same mediocre options. When I asked for extra lemons I was told there would be a charge. When I asked for a box for my left overs there was a 35cent charge on my bill. When I complained about the charges to one of the owners all he said was he pays for the boxes and so should the customer. Also, the waitstaff is unfriendly.

Nothing much to say...typical Greek style restaurant. Overall pretty good food & fair prices.Avoid the biscuits & gravy unless you love ultra bland food. This place mirrors Christo's as well it should considering it's the owners.

Round the Clock is a nice place to stop in for a quick meal. Their prices are reasonable and their food is good for the price. I had an omelet prepared with egg whites. It was a good size omelet with plenty of potatoes and two pieces of toast. I was surprised to see that even with the extra cost of egg whites, my meal was still only a bit more than $6. Their breakfasts all look good as well as their sandwiches and soups. I wouldn't recommend the roast pork with the sage dressing, but their desserts also look great. Overall, a nice place for an everyday bite. P.S. It's fixed up like a train station inside which is pretty cool. Smaller parties can even eat inside a train car.

I have been coming here for a long time and usually the kids and I love it. Today it was not good! The floor was dirty, my server seemed overwhelmed and in the weeds, my Rueben was missing the 1000 island dressing and was cold. My daughters pancakes were cold. :( so disappointed!

I typically don't like the other Round the Clock locations, but LaPorte is the exception. I've always had good food and good service when I've gone here.

Being from Chicago where most restaurants take pride in the quality of their food, we have a hard time finding a decent restaurant in LaPorte. After not visiting this restaurant in many years, we decided to give it a go. After visiting two times w/in a six month period, we've decided to clear this one from our list. My fiance had the chicken and dumplings. I had the Greek plate. The chicken and dumpling sauce was like wallpaper paste, too thick and tasteless!. My fiance mentioned it to the girl while paying the bill. They didn't seem to care. My Greek plate was horrible as well. The gyro meat tasted like it was on the spit for days. It was so dry that I had a hard time swallowing it without water. Horrible meals. That was the last time we'll ever go to Round the Clock. I guess we'll just have to save our Mexican food appetite and go to Mucho Mas when we are in LaPorte. They seem to be the only decent place there.

Ordered the "barbecued" ribs and they were very disappointing. Not barbecued and the sauce was just poured over the top. The atmosphere is not very comfortable with table close together. Our table was near the kitchen and it was very loud.

The customer service was on point! We were seated under an a/c vent and asked to be relocated, the waitress just said she would turn it off since we were already settled in. The food was decent with huge portions, which is very important when you have two boys with large appetites. The restrooms were even very clean.

I Demand a Name Change! How about 1/2 way Around the Clock! When only open till 11:00 it dose not much good to have that name now dose it? The person that takes the phone calls could of been a little less rude also I was working late and from out of town and don't do fast food so I tried to make a to go order to bring back to my room and he wouldn't take it even to be picked up at. 10:55 I hate to say it but this town could use a Denny's!

I have been coming here for years and have never had a bad experience the waters are always grate and so is the food even the guests are nice here the atmosphere is nice old yet new look to it. It is nice for just two or the hole family with sitting for two in the box cat or the hole party in the back dining room.

So I decided to give this place another try, this time with my husband. I had no problems with the staff at all this time. Our server (who was a different girl from last time) was awesome. However, the food....the food was not right. I had ordered an Italian chicken sandwich with lemon rice soup and fries. A pretty simple order. I wasn't that hungry so I planned on taking my sandwich home, and to just pick at the fries and eat my soup. The lemon rice soup had an odd flavor. Like, a sugary after taste. It was not good. When I tried my sandwich later, I tasted swiss cheese, not mozzarella like one would think. It was just not right and tasted like feet. Sorry, Round the Clock. I gave you your last chance, but I will not be returning. Which makes me sad, because I really enjoy Greek-style restaurants. So if anyone knows of any in Laporte, I'd love to hear from you!

This is a quaint little restaurant with a welcoming feel. We enjoy coming here for breakfast. Their french toast is delicious. Their eggs and bacon are on par with other most breakfast establishments but I've gotten a lot more for my money elsewhere. Out of everything I have tried for breakfast here, the french toast is by far the best. I really like the old-fashioned train car that they have inside and can dine in. Another good aspect of this establishment is their assortment of pastries and desserts that you can choose from. They have an entire pastry cabinet in their entrance that you can choose slices or whole cakes and pies from. If you're looking for a family-friendly breakfast restaurant or are craving french toast, try this place. It's not the best place that I've been to but I'd recommend trying it.

My wife and I were antiquing our way back home from vacation, and found this restaurant by accident. When we were handed the menu, my first thought was "Oh Boy her we go again" because of the number of items offered. My wife had the Greek sample platter and I had the Mexican sampler platter. Both were huge and very good. We both would give this restaurant another try if we are ever back in La Port. Also they must have a loyal following as the guy next to us walked in and the waitress as him if he was having his usual and his reply was yes, which was the goulash special. When he left he told her "see you next week" so my guess is that he gets his goulash fix every Monday. Thumbs up for this one.

The last itme I was here was several years ago. It was about time for a return visit and I found the place competely remodeled. It was a pleasant suprise as it now has much more of a personality. We went here for breakfast the day after Christmas because the roads were not driveable out of town, so we had some time to kill and I am glad that we killed it here. Our waitress understood that we were going to be there for a while and made us feel right at home. I would love to get my hands on their recipie for sausage gravy and make it for myself time and time again. It was out of this world. I had a pork chop and eggs and it was outstanding! The prices are dirt cheap and I do not understand how they can charge so little and still deliver the quality deliciousness that they do
