Nice people, great service, and SO MUCH better than the one on Franklin Street Michigan City. It's my to go place every time I want KFC. The service just makes the drive so worthy!

They fixed the menu! The employees were awesome. And the pumpkin pie blizzard changed my life! I love pumpkin and it was so good, it felt like Thanksgiving. Thanks for a great DQ experience.

I ordered from Albano's initially just because they are nearby. I'm really glad I did! So far we've tried the Taco Pizza (awesome!) and the Veggie Pizza and the Italian Beef. We enjoy those items so much we keep reordering them so haven't tried the pasta or other items (yet). Our food is always ready when they say it will be and pick up is so easy with the drive up window. I've reccommended it to friends and family and they have also been very happy with the food, prices, and service. Albano's Pizza Inc. deserves five stars.
They are getting 4 stars from me based on the quality of the food and convenience of the location. If it was based on service they'd get a 2 as our order was not correct and the young lady at the counter tried to send us out the door without one of the items we ordered. If you have had food from the location downtown before you should find this to be comparable. Their pizzas are a thin crust and quite tasty. My parents are big fans of the Italian beef sandwiches (they also order it with the au jus) as it is not something they can find in their area. Call ahead and pick up. It also looks like they deliver now but I cannot comment on that as we did not use this service.

Called a pick up order in at 5:15 pm and was told it would be ready in 20 minutes. We arrived slightly after 5:35 pm. Pizza was not ready until 6:15pm. Sitting in a car with my 2 year old waiting as my wife waited inside for 40 minutes became very frustrating. If the order was going to take 1 hour they should have told us one hour, not 20 minutes. The pizza is descent, but they need to place some focus on timing the orders.
Good BBQ chicken pizza. Good value for size. Ample seating. Chicken quality could use an upgrade. Great sauce. On street parking. Would have been nice to get a menu with my pizza so I can see what else they make.
Tried there pizza last night and it was amazing ! Reminded me of a pizza place. I grew up eating in Chicago ! Finally real pizza in Laporte ! Thin cheese and sausage was By far the best . We didn't care for the pepperoni maybe it's the way it on the pizza and they have great ribs . Defiantly a must try we found our new pizza spot

We came last night from South Bend and had a wonderful experience. Food was good and the service was excellent. Will return the next time we're in Laporte!
Food is not what is used to be, mediocre at best. Overpriced for the hit or miss meal. Used to come here several times a week. Busy or not the staff always seems to be disorganized and unfriendly. I have waited for a table with the restaurant empty because they couldnt seem to figure out which empty table to seat us at. Over the last few years food quality and service has been steadily decreasing. Last straw was watered down whiskey.
Was on a road trip when yelp helped us find this place. For signage made it difficult find but once we found it what a hidden gem. Great food and service!!

We visited my Dad, and I was craving Starbucks, but that is 30 miles away, so he said let's try this place called Rocky Mountain. I immediately rolled my big city slicker eyes and prayed they had some sort of pick me up coffee. Well to my surprise it was great, and everyone was able to enjoy their drink, including our 2 year old who wanted tea. We are going here from now on whenever we are in LaPorte.
One of the better coffee shops in the area. The staff is always friendly and anxious to help you with any questions/suggestions. The atmosphere is comfortable and outdoor seating is great. My only suggestion would be that they stay open later. I believe they close around 4-5p. There are not many options in the area to catch up with friends in the evenings besides bars. I nice coffee shop would be a big plus for the area.
This coffee shop is a nice little gem for LaPorte. My favorite is the BEAR TRACKS Glacier Latte - chocolate, caramel and macadamia. YUM! No need for dinner after drinking this one. The desserts are delicious as well and very original. I bought the Oreo Brownie before for my husband and he was in heaven. Today we stopped in for coffee and grabbed 2 cake pops. The cake pop flavors said Vanilla and Chocolate but the cashier didn't know which one was which so she bit into one to find out. Ummm.....okaay. The ambiance is very quaint with a few tables, chairs and a couch to sit back, read the paper or play a game from the selection of games they have on a shelf. They also have 2 tables outside if you should choose to sit out on their side deck. I was talking to the cashier about their Facebook page and she didn't even know they had one. Again...oh boy. They do have a website but the hours aren't listed but here is the page so you can see the selection of goodies. rockymountaincafe.com I did find their hours on their Facebook page. Mon - Fri: 6:00 am - 5:00 pm Sat: 7:00 am - 5:00 pm Sun: 7:00 am - 12:00 pm I wish they could stay open for the 9-5 working crowd. Maybe until 6pm? To bring in more business, I think it would be a great place for an Open Night Mic or Poetry reading.

What a find, the food was delicious. See my photos. Margaritas were mixed well. We will be back for sure, great customer service.
The order. Mango margarita, steak burrito three tacos and free chips. Chips tasted like bagged chips you buy at jewel. All plates including the burrito were pre made and reheated. Steak was chewy and some pieces were still frozen. You couldn't touch the plates for about 10 minutes since they were so hot. The burrito was wrapped by a 10 year old boy it seemed. Mango margarita didn't taste like mango nor margarita. If you think this place is good you haven't had good Mexican food.
Portions are good size. Food was decent, though a bit heavy on the salt. Salsa a bit runny and corn chips were forgettable. Bathroom was what you would expect to see at a run down gas station, very dirty. Person came out of stall and walked out without washing hands, not sure if they were an employee.

3rd Base Bar & Grill

Basically a bar, but with above average food. Burgers were done to order and beefy; no fillers. Clam chowder had more of a bisque consistency, but a peppery bite. Prices very reasonable. Service fast and cheerful. Seemed to have a good neighborhood crowd for a Sunday night.
We go to 3rd Base every week for lunch and have never been disappointed, never. I dislike sports bars but this place has completely won me over. Great food, service, prices. I am vegetarian and am in love with the portobello sandwich with roasted peppers and onions. Spouse is a carnivore extraordinaire and has gotten the hamburger (from local butcher, Sims) almost every time we go there. Spouse liked the tomatoes and mentioned that they tasted like they were just picked: waitress commented, "they were". Locavore sports bar in Laporte, Indiana? They make their own salad dressings. Try the French: it is great. Chardonnay is less than $5/glass and delicious. Many beer choices. Mostly regulars, but you can fit right in .Don't be turned off by all the trucks and motorcycles in the parking lot (newly paved!) I really like this place. Recommended!
Good.

we moved out of the Laporte area last year, so we haven't been back to Albano's much, but it's pretty damn good food. the garlic cheese bread isn't a difficult dish to pull off but honestly, it's great. just the right amount of garlic and cheese. the pizza sauce they serve with it is delish. it has to be for me to use such a ridiculous word. I mean, who says that anymore? anyway, the pizza is awesome. typically, I'm someone who orders pizzas with extra cheese because I love cheese and it will probably kill me LONG before alcohol (I love beer also) and I don't order it here. we aide their cheese cup runneth over; in a good way. big ole chunks of sausage are the best and they do it right. I haven't had any of their sandwiches but from what I saw on the tables of other patrons, I would like to try. they looked like big servings. service was great, kept our drinks full and no issues. we will return and I suggest you go check it out.
Albano's is like a home away from home. One time, my sister and I picked up Albano's the day that she got arrested for public intoxication when she was 14. Another time, I had a really good date. We were going to go to Enzo's but it was closed so we ended up at Albano's. Then we went to a corn maze and stuff. They have a really good salad here.
We have ate here for years. Best pizza in town. Outside seating is available in good weather. They have a menu with more then pizza.

My wife and I go to Laporte on a regular basis for dinner at a supper club that we just can't get enough of on E1000. We went to B & J's for the first time on a Saturday and it was so good we went back on Sunday. Let me just say we fell in love with this place! It was like I was a kid again in the local diner where everyone knew you by name. The food was VERY GOOD, eggs, sausage, waffle and potatoes were cooked perfectly! Nothing was greasy and the flavor was awesome. Service was also great, we waited for nothing and the cafe was busy. We travel over 70 miles to Laporte and we will be back here to eat every time we come. One more thing, the banana nut bread was fantastic!
Food was great, service was awful. We were there for breakfast and were the only ones in the restaurant that did not have food at the time, and it took over 30 minutes for basic eggs, bacon and french toast. Another guest arrived after us and was served first. Wait staff and other guests were homophobic and unfriendly. Otherwise, atmosphere was great, and it's a homey place. Perhaps we were just there at the wrong time. However, based on our experience, I would not return.
Good food, great service. I arrived with my family at two on a Monday afternoon not knowing that they closed at two. We were seated and our order was taken before I realized that they closing, I said something about this to our waitress and she said it was no problem, we didn't feel rushed or that she was in anyway put out.
