Tl;dr: Poor service, decent pizza. I placed an online order for pickup, and when I walked in to get my order 20 minutes later, was told that they had just put it in. Had to sit and wait 20 minutes at a table. Took it out to the car, and realized they hadn't given me the extra sauces I ordered. Went back in to ask, and noticed, written in permanent marker on some machine and fully visible from the register "Don't f*ck with the knobs you dumb sh*ts." Way to keep it classy. Got home and tried pizza. It had a great flavor but the crust was under cooked. Next time I'm saying 'no' to Bearno's.

Staying at the Fairfield Inn. This is the spot to order pizza in for the weary traveller. Delivered hot and quick. This is pizza well made. Don't hesitate.

Every Bearno's has a slightly different environment. With more than a dozen flat screen TV's all playing sports and a crowd of middle aged men drinking beer at the bar on a Monday night it is safe to say that this Bearno's has a sports bar atmosphere. If there was a big game on this Bearno's would definitely be the place to watch. This evening we sat in the dining room rather than the bar and received very prompt and attentive service throughout the entire meal. I was very excited to see that I could opt for fat free cheese on my pizza and ordered a small pizza with fat free cheese and chicken. The fat free cheese came out slightly less melty than regular cheese but the the flavor was delicious. The small pizza was more than I could eat myself and I ended up taking half of it home. My boyfriend ordered spaghetti and meatballs. He was slightly disappointed because it came with marinara sauce instead of meat sauce but he really enjoyed the meatballs and I kept stealing bites of his garlic bread. Again, the portion size was huge and more than he could eat in one sitting. Overall this was a really enjoyable meal in a very laid back environment. I highly recommend stopping by to grab some pizza or Italian staples during the next big game.

I'm basing my 4 stars on the average of my 4 visits here so far. Twice, I've been there late at night to get my drank on. Once, I took the entire family for pizza and once I went with a friend and split pizza. Anyway, the food and drinks are good but the weirdest time was two Fridays ago when my boyfriend and I went. The bartender was slamming his phone against the wall and even messed up the flat screen tv by doing that. He seemed very irate at something and off his rocker and made me feel uncomfortable-ish. Besides for the weirdo, I like this place.

For a place that advertises 3AM nightly closure, one would not expect them to shutter their doors before 2AM on a Saturday night!! Rolling in there with 20 guys to cure our bachelor party craving was not smart on their part to close shop early... That was completely idiotic.

I went to Bearno's on the Kentucky Derby Weekend and found this place empty. Everywhere else was busy so I figured id give this place a world..plus it was recommended by a local. Me and my friend walk in and it took forever to get greeted--so I went up to the bar. I placed my order and was told it would take about 20 minutes. I ended up waiting 40 minutes instead. Seemed like the bartender was the only person on the floor too. Another person walks in and he doesn't even get greeted right away either. Let me mention--this place had one table and two people at the bar. I'm in the waiting area waiting for my pizza and hear the kitchen staff cursing up a storm. Didn't really care to hear that commotion at an establishment.. So I ordered their BBQ Chicken Pizza and a slice of the Derby Pie. The derby pie was amazing!! Absolutely loved it. I definitely recommend you order a slice of it. The pizza was okay. It didn't "wow" me. It was just another pizza, nothing special. It wasn't bad but it wasn't fantastic either especially waiting for 40 minutes on a dead night for them. Pizza Hut pizza can do better..I was expecting better, it's okay I guess. When I'm in town for business, I'll stop by for a slice of the derby pie and skip the pizza. I recommend this establishment has someone near the door to be greeted and recommend the kitchen staff to chill out with the profanity, seriously.

This place is "da bomb". Drove in from Nashville and not familiar with the area. Hotel and Yelp said do it so we did. Great atmosphere with lots of happy diners, $1 beer special was a nice surprise, understaffed but service was still great - the food earns 5-stars by itself! Dinner salad would feed a family and the pizza was absolutely loaded, hit and delicious.

As a Hoosiers fan I'm always appreciative of places that show the games. A place that also has great drink specials and even better food? A rare find. Bearno's on the river has all of that. You walk in and when your bartender or server comes to greet you it's as if you are old friends. Next time you want to get out of the house and have a couple brews this is the place to go with a variety of 20 draft brews, full bar, and amazing pizza you'll be sure to find something you like.

Picture it: Bearno's Little Sicily, Friday after work and I show up with several co-workers for happy hour drinks and some pizza. The restaurant is pretty much empty except a handful of tables. The open floor plan makes it seem much more vacant than it actually is. I'd like to order a drink. Boy, howdy, would I! And I waited, and waited and eventually flagged down a server. But she wasn't over 21, so she went to go get the ONLY other person working the front of house on a Friday evening. Yes, they had 2 servers to take care of all the tables, cash out, deliver food and drinks and tend bar. 2 people. Needless to say, service was unacceptably slow. I would rate this higher if only the duo of servers were making every effort to meet their duties or apologized for the trudgery. However, we had to flag down the bartender a number of times to come over to our table and watched them chatting a number of times. The food at Bearno's has never impressed me. This visit continued its remarkable record unabated. The "on the river" part may intrigue one to visit because of the calming effect that moving water has on the human spirit, that primal and elemental stirring that a river evokes of life and opportunity. I'm with you! But it should really be called "Bearno's Close to the River" since the river is across the street and behind other buildings, not really visible or calming or evoking. And I could have used some calming after the poor service and forgetable food.

So after we checked into our hotel at midnight, our choices for a late snack were either Bearno's or Hooter's. Boy, am I glad neither my husband or I have any desire to set foot in a Hooter's, because Bearno's was an unexpected treat. Not that you could tell that walking in. The Friday-night crowd in Jeffersonville, Indiana is subdued and sparse, and Bearno's is a typical looking bar. No, the surprise came from the kitchen. The "breadsticks" we ordered were essentially a small, thin-crust pizza crust, brushed with garlic-butter and covered in cheese. It was delicious and if the crisp-chewy crust was any indication, the pizzas at Bearno's are well above average. But don't stop there on the menu! The real surprise of our meal were the wings. These were outstanding. Not fried, but baked in the pizza oven, they had been tossed in barbecue sauce, and then put back in the oven to set. The sugary sauce had charred slightly and baked into the wings, so that they almost tasted like they'd been grilled. The result was so delicious! They arrived piping hot from the oven, and looked so amazing we couldn't wait and nearly charred our mouths as we ate them down! Finally, I wouldn't be me if I didn't mention that the only thing hotter than the wings was the bald, bearded bartender. He was the friendly and attentive, and way easy on the eyes. It's our first trip to Louisville, and if Bearno's is any indication, this city isn't going to disappoint these foodies in the least!

Coldest beer in town! Least expensive beer in town! Wide selection of draft beer. Had the Build Your Own Lasagna, tasted great, and I got to pick my filling. I was there to watch a game. Lots of TV's so I was able to watch my Cubbies. Service was great.

It's a typical sports pizza bar. If you want to munch on a slice while drinking a beer and watching whatever game very loudly, this is the place. Pizza is a little expensive, and the stromboli was awful, but it's pretty much as I imagined. The staff isn't terribly professional but are very friendly.

Service is terriable, order was wrong, the wait staff never checks on you and you have to flag them down and they do not give you a fresh glass for your beer. It seems like they are too lazy to do the dishes. I would go somewhere else!!!! Food is not that great and over priced too many better places to go

I love Bearnos pizza-- my fav of all time. Love coming here after going out over in Louisville. Not too crowded, not too loud, and super fresh fast pizza. Service is attentive but not super friendly, which is whatever since the food is so good.

This was my first Bearno's and my first meal in Jeffersonville. And to be perfectly honest it didn't set the bar very high. Granted it was a Tuesday, but it was pretty deserted. The service was fine. They weren't excited to be there by any means, but not at all rude. We ordered pizza, we got pizza. I just wasn't impressed by it. Not at all. The part that was the worst to me were the canned mushrooms. Canned mushrooms. Just going to say this one more time. Canned mushrooms. I guess it just really shocked me. Even at Little Ceasars with my 5$ pizza I get fresh mushrooms. And this was not a 5$ pizza. I have since been back to Jeffersonville and it is growing on me. But I'll stick to my pizza on this side of the river. Unless someone has a fabulous suggestion that uses fresh ingredients (and I can cross the bridge in less than an hour!!)

This place is ok. It's more of a bar than a place to eat. HOWEVER the all meat pizza is HUGE! Do not get more than a medium! we got a large and didn't touch half of it! It was awesome!
