This place definitely has a lot going for it, both for good value and for offering a unique experience. First of all, and my favorite aspect, is that is has the cheapest craft beer in the downtown area on a consistent basis. They have a nice tap list with over a dozen good craft beers, including plenty from a wide variety of Hoosier breweries, and they are always $3 for 20 oz as of this review being written. They also solved the issue of finding cheap parking downtown, since they have something setup with the parking garage they are located under to get a discount rate with proof of purchase. Obviously the main draw of this place is the fact that that you can bet on horse races. Their room for this is located off to the side, and contains a large wall full of TVs that are showing the races, as well as a bunch of tables with TVs on them. There are a bunch of electronic bet placing machines that aren't too hard to figure out, but they also have a couple people in the back that you can place bets with like you might be used to at an actual track. The helpfulness of these people have been hit and miss, but they certainly have some that are very helpful and can do a lot of explaining if you don't know what you are doing. I have been in during the day and late at night, and it seems like there is always races on that can be bet on, even if they are being run on the other side of the world. It makes for a fun experience with a group of friends to put a dollar or two down on a race and have some rooting interest in something while drinking beers. The crowd in this area isn't typically a bunch of people who wandered in to just have some fun, but looks more like a room of people who do this as hobby. Not the most fun crowd, and not the most upbeat either. I have a feeling quite a few of them are gambling with money they probably shouldn't be, but to each his own. The bar area is where I usually find myself, which is a somewhat separated from their gambling room. The bar is pretty big, with quite a few tables in the room as well. There are TVs everywhere, and they have on more of the popular sporting events than the horse races like the other room, so this is somewhere to come get a beer and watch football or basketball games. The bartenders have always been good, and it is a nice and clean place. On top of that, they have an outdoor area as well. I haven't actually gotten anything from their food menu, but they do have both a lunch and dinner menu. This would probably be a 5 star place from me if it was just a regular sports bar, but the fact that they also have something unique and fun on top of their good prices and nice setup makes it hard to beat.

Surprisingly good food for an off track betting spot. The grilled shrimp appetizers are a must. You won't be disappointed.

For a small little bar this place is awesome. Cheapest Craft beer on tap!!! $3.00 20 ounce draft beer any draft beer they have. Food is good bar food. Club is made with boars head meats. Plus music duos on the weekend. Oh yea the beer special is everyday 7 days a week. Plus you might bet a pony and pay for your night out!!!! We love it there...

A nice spot to stop for a beer, $3.00 including some craft, a great deal. The staff was very nice and a pleasant bar. We did not go into the betting area. Lots of TV's for watching a sports game.

I ventured into the Winner's Circle Pub while waiting on the Megabus which is one block away. I didn't know it was similar to a casino. Sitting next to a gentleman he clarified that that it not a Casino, but where you bet on horses. The doorman did not give a friendly greeting. Looking super suspicious! I sat at the bar because I didn't know where else to sit. Ordered chicken quesadillas. On a scale... 5. Not bad at all. Looks like a wheat tortilla. OH... You will be sitting next to gamblers!!!! Patrons are drunk and betting!

I like it, plenty of TV's, beers on tap, liquor, and you can smoke your cigars here. Ohh and some gambling. Next to the Hilton Garden Inn, so I dodge the over priced beers.

Horses and great beer! The food is pretty good too. There are several different venues. Sports bar, dining, sports bet, private and VIP. I really like the bar during ball games. You can watch several games at once and keep up with the horse races too! Of course, my skills are WPS and yet I still always have fun with those ponies. Lots of local beer choices and the taps rotate. The price is terrific and the brew is cold. I recommend stopping in for a 20oz and a couple of races anytime.

Rally 3.5 stars because of the slow but otherwise polite bartender who was saved sometime by other staff jumping in.Good burger and you cannot definitely beat the good selection of $3 tall drafts. Good place to hang out for drinks, horse gamblers not bothering anyone,

Came here after a Pacers game. Good drink specials on game days, with $3 drafts. You can also get your parking validated if you park in the garage attached to Winner's Circle. Definitely an older crowd. Didn't try the food, but would definitely go back for another game day drink special.

Came here after a Pacers playoff game, around 11:15PM. It was nice that they had a "game day menu" with specials going on, we ordered from there and got an order of wings and chicken quesadilla and it all came out to around $15 - great for some late night food after a game

My boyfriend and I went for a nice dinner. We had the jerk chicken skewers to start off with on a bed of sweet potato chips with the red curry mayo (since they ran out of the raspberry dip that was supposed to go with the chicken). The chicken was well seasoned and the chips were awesomely crispy. They did get oilier the farther down in the bowl you went though but man, the star of the dish was the red curry mayo. I could have had that slathered on bread...oh wait, I did that with the complementary bread at the table. Yum. For an entree I had the shrimp and grits. The whole dish was completely mediocre. The shrimp was completely unseasoned and bland. The greens had some limp pieces of bacon in them and were so watery they basically drown the entire plate. The grits were a bit hard and needed some major salt and pepper work. My boyfriend had the filet mignon which was better than my dish though by no means anything special. The herbed mashed potatoes that came with it were alright, though again needed salt. For dessert we had the chocolate peanut butter lava cake (which came with ice cream on a dish so hot that I burned myself) and it was a letdown. It was messy and ill-presented. It was an overcooked mash of chocolate cake in a boat dish with a glob of peanut butter on top. The best part was the ice cream and that's saying something because it was just straight up vanilla bean. Anyways, go for the sweet potato chips with red curry mayo. That and maybe a drink. I had the angel martini made with vanilla vodka, amaretto, and whipped cream and it wasn't too shabby. Only $7 too so not overly pricey. Nice selection of $4 beers too.

Real quicklike: Maybe my three stars is based on the silly fact that I walked into a horse racing venue expecting casino slots - this is t-totally my fault. The food was mediocre - I tried the beef/veggie kabobs and chicken "tenders" - the skewers were very good. I appreciated that they used bok choy - never would have thought to add this in. Also enjoyed the gourmet mustard - seed intact. The manager in the betting room was very helpful. The betting room was soo intense yet humorous for we non-gamblers at the same time.

First off, upon entering Winner's Circle, I was appalled at the intense smell of smokers. Strike ONE. There was only one waiter in the dining room. Strike TWO. I ordered the slider breaded tenderloin. It was greasy and so salty that it was inedible. Strike THREE. Bar spectators were yelling at the top of their lungs. Strike FOUR. The bill took entirely too long after we asked the waiter for it. Instead of making change, he brought my $20 back broken down. I had told him how much I wanted back. I nearly pocketed it all not realizing it was still $20. Can see that he will get stiffed for the bill frequently with this method. Strike FIVE there were such a thing. Will I go back? Never!

Great, modern bar with tons of TV's packed into a small area. This would be a great after work hangout with colleagues. There is a small restaurant section to the left a soon as you walk in. Nice collection of beers available at the bar. I went for food and drinks (since they advertise their "pub & grill"). The food was extremely average. The tomato basil soup was over spiced with the asparagus poorly grilled. The meatloaf was dry. The bartender was extremely attentive and helpful. I would return for drinks but not for their food.

My first experience here was on the day of the Derby and so my review may not be helpful for others in the future. My experience was truly delightful but, as it was in the midst of the carnival-like festivities of gamblers excited about the Derby, it will likely not be reincarnated for a regular betting day here. There was a $20.00 entry but, with the entry, I received a cool glass, a betting guidebook, and credits to use towards some bets. As we were going to be there for some time, I didn't really explore the potential quality of the food options and ordered the cheapest thing on the menu. Partially thanks to a whiskey representative who was letting those around him, including me, enjoy the flavors of his company's fine spirits, I made many friends that day. As I only bet minimum bets and try to actually investigate my bets in advance, I won back a decent portion of my money and so the night ended up being very affordable fun considering the free drinks. I will have to learn what this place is like on a normal day. I look forward to it!

Let me start by saying, this is OTB, not the Chez Jene. As far as a bar / restaurant goes, this place is nice, and a major upgrade to the old location in Claypool Courts. The bar / restaurant area was modern and clean. The staff were friendly and helpful. The prices were reasonable, considering the part of downtown, and that you are at an off track betting facility. Now for the OTB part, this was a separate area from the bar, separated by two large frosted glass doors. The betting areas are all non smoking, which is great. No one wants to breath the crap that blew out of lungs of one of these peeps. There is a smoking area for the people who want to step out for a smoke. Excellent selection of local craft beers, a major upgrade from the last OTB location. I will return to lose more money in the future. This is a nice place for OTB!

Good food, bad waitress. Dressed in nice attire we arrived outside of the restaurant only to be laughed at rudely by a waitress (who just so happened to be the waitress to wait on us). My boyfriend and I are nineteen, We were seated, immediately carded. The waitress talked to us like we were five year olds, yet offered us alcohol. Our appetizer came before the bread (which was delicious). The appetizer tasted slightly burnt, but was okay. Before we could enjoy the appetizer our food came out, a wedge burger good but too much cheese and a caesar salad that Came as a half head of romaine. I had to cut it up myself... strange, messy. We were given the check ten minutes after receiving our meal, and were told no hurry no hurry, five minutes later she tries to take our plates and the check we hadn't even looked at. We felt rushed but the male waiter that brought us our freshly baked bread was wonderfully friendly and was well trained. The waitress may think her tip reflected a young couple that doesn't go out often, but in reality she sucked and shouldn't have treated "young" PAYING customers as children.

Doesn't get much better than this. Jeff at the bar, big drinks, betting on horses, a place to smoke. People were eating in the room off the bar, but what's the point. You don't go there to eat.

Atmosphere and amenities are excellent. Great place to drink and watch a game. Food could be improved. Burger and sandwich buns are thin so it gets messy halway though eating. Thicker buns are needed to help hold everything together. Make that adjustment and could be 4 or 5 star place.
