This is the new location in Indianapolis for Ruth's Chris. Very elegant Decour and the food is fantastic as always. You can't find a better steak in Indianapolis and my wife loves the creme Brulé. I like the wide selections of drinks and craft beers on tap!

The food was great and so was the service. It was extremely loud though. It was honestly overwhelming due to the noise and the menu was not very clear. The selection for dinner doesn't have much variety. The sides are served "family style" and are not refilled when finished which for the price isn't worth it at all. Not exactly what I expected but it was just okay in my opinion.

The steaks are probably the best in town. The sides are good, but not the best. I was disappointed with the mushrooms. They were undercooked and had very little flavor. The service here is average for a restaurant, but definitely under for what I would expect at a steakhouse at this price point. I have recently been to Seasons 52 and Harry and Izzy's and both of those places were stellar. This just did not measure up. It took a while for someone to come to the table, forever to put in our order, and we were not checked on that often. This has happened before and if the restaurant is reading, PLEASE do something about this. When someone orders a beer and it is the end of the keg, come back to our table to get our order instead of waiting until the keg is changed. We waited nearly 15 minutes to put in our food order.

My family chose to go here to celebrate my Dad's 60th birthday. We had not eaten at Ruth's Chris in over 5 years, and we were excited to give the new location a try. Overall, the experience wasn't very memorable. I will start off by saying the service was excellent, and our waiter Sean was at our table practically the moment we sat down full of suggestions and very attentive throughout the meal. Our cocktails were great...I ordered a Moscow Mule and it came in the proper bronze mug which was cute! Really the only issue is the food quality...the steaks were both not cooked to the proper degree that both my mom and sister had requested. This resulted in my mom and sister both switching their steaks from each other's plates twice because the steak seemed to be cooked differently on each side. I ordered the Crab Cakes and, while they were tasty and had delicious lumpy crab meat, it seemed they were sitting in a pool of butter which was somewhat unappetizing. The meal had a pleasant ending with delicious dessert and great conversation while finishing a nice bottle of Plumpjack. If this new location of Ruth's Chris is able to step their game up and perfect their cooking methods and dish presentation, I do believe they will be up to par with the status the restaurant had in Indianapolis a few years ago.

First of all this place looks gorgeous! It's a huge improvement from the previous North side location. Your greeted with a large open lobby with a huge staircase, bright marble floors, and a huge sexy bar that seduces you in for a drink. On a rare occasion I like a fancy ambiance and Ruth's Chris has just that. If you want to impress someone this would be a great place to do it. Confession, I am not a huge steak consumer and steakhouses are normally not my pick for dining, but I was very impressed with Ruth's Chris. I came here for my company holiday party. We had a private room on the second floor. It was surprisingly really large with lovely views of the wine cellar and city. There were approximately 30 people in our group and our team of servers did an exceptional job waiting on us hand and foot. Top notch in my books! Lemme get two claps and a Ric Flair for them! We had a pre-fixed meal with choice of Ribeye, Salmon, or Chicken. I selected the Ribeye because why would you get anything other than steak at a steak house? It was cooked perfectly and it cut like butter. Amen. My negatives would be the side dishes. The creamed spinach was a bit under cooked and the starter steak house salad was lackluster. However, the dessert duo of fresh berries & cream and a chocolate bowl stuffed with chocolate moose was a delightful end to the meal. If I found myself in a fancy mood I would probably return with friends at the bar for Happy Hour (food and drinks) for $8 Monday-Friday.

Seriously, hands down...best Ruth's Chis in the country. After all, it's the biggest Ruth's Chris in the nation to begin with. It's so nice and modern, not your typical stuffy steakhouse. However, the decor still has lots of brown tones to it as well as the infamous leather booth so it still somewhat reminds you that it's a steakhouse. Convenience factor of this place is pretty good. Valet parking is available. Plenty of lot parking. They have an elevator for their second floor. Bar is right behind the hostess stand. Awesome outside space. As for service, it's just excellent overall. The managers have been there for years. Super prompt service. Very friendly and knowledgable about the food and drinks. Their lemon drop martini is amazing!!! Must try. Delish! My favorite is their ribeye. I like my steak marbled. My hubby likes his all meat and no fat so he typically gets a filet. Ruth'sChris seriously have the best steaks n town. They say it's the sizzle. They say it's the butter. Whatever it is, I can't go to other steakhouses anymore. Ruth's Chris pretty much ruined it for me because really do have the best in town.

The new location is large and beautiful! I have tried some other Ruth's Chris locations lately (Beverly Hills for one) and was disappointed. I was not disappointed here. The ambiance was a huge improvement over the old location. I got the cowboy (bone in ribeye) and it was perfectly cooked, juicy and one of the best I have ever had. The only problem we had was ordering way too much food. The chopped salad is so good but fills you up before the meal. Side dishes are also very large. You won't be disappointed with the cowboy steak!

There are a lot of good steakhouses within a mile from Keystone at the Crossing, but Ruth's Chris may just take the crown. Steak is all USDA prime of course and served a sizzling plate to keep it warm throughout your meal. My chateaubriand was a perfect medium rare, sliced on the bias, served on a bed of garlic mashed potatoes and accompanied by a delicious mushroom sauce. Excellent food aside, what puts Ruth's Chris ahead of the other steakhouse contenders is the space itself. The new location is killer. Housed in the brand spanking new IronWorks building, it has the prime location in the middle. The restaurant is huge. There are 2 floors with dining areas and bars on both levels. The first floor has a sweet outdoor dining area while the 2nd floor has cool views. Service is impeccable. Exactly what you expect (and pay for) when you go to a high-end restaurant. A neat 21st century touch is the drink and wine list that is on a tablet (an iPad I think). I don't know why more places don't do this (and not just for the drink menu; so many places change their entrees monthly/weekly/daily they should use it for their regular menu as well).

I love Tuesday nights in the bar. Half price bar menu & apps make it worth the. Live music helps the atmosphere. The only problem is the people who cone here. I think every asshole on the north side drinks here. I really feel sorry for the bar staff since they are all really nice and give excellent service.

This review is for the bar side of the restaurant: First, COME ON TUESDAY. Half priced appetizers, including the delicious RBar burger. Grab a table at the bar, order a cocktail (discounted because it's Tuesday), and order an RBar burger. Ask for a side of BBQ butter and drizzle it on your RBar burger. Delicious. Friendly service, classy atmosphere, complimentary bread, great cocktails, and the creme brulee dessert with fresh berries was a great way to enjoy a night out.

Haven't been to a Ruth's Chris Steak House in a long while so after hearing about the newly opened location @ 86th Street and Keystone Avenue decided on a Monday evening to hopefully not be crazy busy. Single diner dilemma: Sitting at a table in the bar/at the bar/asking for a table in the main dining room. The bar area looked fairly crowded for a Monday evening so after waiting less than 5 minutes seated in a booth. Surprisingly a mixed crowd in the dining room including a family having dinner with their teenager (i.e. jeans and casual shirts) to other tables with suits + ties having business dinner. All staff seemed terrific and my waiter was patient with my slow order method of waiting until after each serving before ordering the next. Lately I've used this slow order method at most restaurants just to be able to relax and not feel rushed. Started with seared ahi tuna which was excellent and surprisingly more tuna than expected for an appetizer. Next up decided on the salmon along with a fantastic side of sweet potato casserole (warning: extremely, extremely hot plate and the casserole is very very hot!). Dinner came with complimentary bread and butter which was very good. Enormous wine list which is listed in an iPad that describes all wines that available. Really, really wanted to try a dessert but was completely full after an excellent meal and had to pass on the dessert (but typing this review is making me want to head over there right now and try the desserts!). Didn't realize there was a very, very small bar (less than 15 seats) on the second floor - next time will definitely give that a try.

Nothing spectacular....people nice enough....servers were efficient but perhaps a bit undertrained (did not know what "neat" was)....wine selection was blah.... Food....steaks were just o.k.....I think better choices just down the road and in Fishers (Petersons). I found my steak (NY Strip) to be surprisingly not very tender...not a heck of a lot of flavor...and too salty. Others at the table were not overwhelmed with their steaks and also commented they preferred other places nearby as well. Sides were again....just o.k....certainly not worth the investment. Some potatoey cheesy concoction was just a pool of grease it seemed. Salads not incredibly fresh as one might hope for. No fresh ground pepper offered...no big deal...but ?? I personally don't care for the atmosphere of the downstairs bar....much like Lulu's used to be...sort of a group of not particularly sophisticated folks hell bent on impressing each other with their wealth and lofty social status. People were really LOUD ! The decor did not take any chances....pleasant enough...just nothing spectacular...but maybe that is a good thing when the decor does not offend or impress ?? Front staff were, professional, friendly and playful...graciously putting up with our snarky attempts at mostly juvenile humor. Unlike other restaurants of late....OUR TABLE WAS ACTUALLY READY !! Nice that RC is apparently not overbooking...although our names should be very familiar to their computers. Parking....EASY ! Of course we will go back again...as nothing was offensive...and I hope that their menu is expanded a bit....with more choices and more interesting items.

The chicken and steak we ordered was great and as always the staff was awesome. It was also easy to get a reservation even though it was a super busy time of the year being so close to Christmas.

Thought it would be fun to ring in New Year's Eve here, an impulsive move due to location, timing and convenience and the fact I had no plans really, being stuck outside my hometown due to work... After a very boring evening watching Ryan Seacrest, I just had to get out so we rolled in about 11:30 pm, and found two seats at the bar. Lucky us! Soon it got flooded with guests that had eaten dinner there. I also noticed some "beautiful people" types rolling in from other events presumably. Nice. Conversation flowed with fun strangers. The bar is very large and set up well, it was suddenly full with a variety of ages of people...interesting. They also have bar TV's and the Ball drop countdown was on, yay! I ordered a Cosmopolitan martini and it was true perfection...words cannot describe. The color was Ballerina pink with shimmery ice crystals floating on top, mmmm! One of the most amazing Cosmo's I have ever enjoyed and I have consumed hundreds of these martini's. Seriously. The best part was the service. I noticed a perky hostess approaching bar patrons with a huge box full of hats, horns, noise makers, tiaras...free party favors at Ruth's Chris!? Wow! My evening was getting better by the moment. After a lively discussion with the awesome bartender about the Chicago Bears, I saw bottles of champagne being set up on the bar.... a festive countdown involved the whole crowd and free champagne toasts were handed out plentifully...Wow, again! This experience truly exceeded my expectations. I did not anticipate a very fun or exciting New Year's Eve, but my visit here made it the best possible. Thank you to the staff and for the generosity of management for a magical night. Wish I had pics but I left my phone in the car...just go see for yourself how fantastic this place is.

Best steak I've ever had, but an extremely expensive restaurant. The kind where you have to be careful to ask for ice water, or they will bring you bottled water & charge you a ton for it.

Simply the worst steak ever. Ordered med- rare and it came out med-well, they quickly brought another, this time med. The meat was tough and grey colored. Wine list grossly overpriced. Never again!!

Wow!!! Last night was our first time trying Ruth's and we were very impressed. I have always been a meat and potatoes girl, so any steakhouse is right up my alley. As a famous and pricey steakhouse, I had high expectations. Boy, were they met. First of all, the new location is beautiful. I could have handled even more modern touches, but I can understand why they'd want a classic steakhouse feel. I always feel fancy eating at any restaurant that requires going up a beautiful flight of stairs We started with drinks and appetizers. I got the champagne cocktail which was not too sweet, but very delicious with St. Germain and Gran Marnier. For the appetizer we got the Lobster Voodoo. Oh my goodness! If you like spicy (sriracha specifically) this is where it is at. Lightly breaded (tempura?) and fried pieces of lobster with a scriracha cream sauce. We noticed that other tables had bread and we didn't know if we needed to ask for it specifically, but after we finished the Voodoo out main course was on it's way so we weren't concerned about bread. I got the petite filet (8oz) which was more than enough. Ordered medium rare, and it came medium rare. I often unfortunately receive my steak overcooked, but this steak was perfect. The steaks are served on a 500 degree plate (they told me at least 3 times) with sizzling butter. Being the butter lover that I am, I asked for extra. By the time the plate hit the table the butter had browned. Holy Crap! I love brown butter on everything, but on top of an already perfect cut of beef takes it to a whole new level. The sides are served family style and are definitely enough for two people to share. We ordered the mashed potatoes and asparagus. The potatoes were light and fluffy with a bit of garlic and a lot of butter. Butter and garlic! These are a few of my favorite things. The asparagus was steamed and came with a side hollandaise. The hollandaise had a bit of horseradish in it which was extra delicious. I don't normally order dessert, but the creme brulee was calling my name. Perfect crunchy, caramelized top and a creamy inside. So delicious! Overall the experience was great. My favorite so far out of all of the famous steakhouses in Indy. Shhh, don't tell St. Elmo!

Just a few nights ago. Service was very friendly and informative.. We were so busy talking that they very politely came back several times to wait on us. Excellent steak . So much parking valet isn't necessary.

Darn it, I just hate having a bad enough experience at a nice restaurant that I feel compelled to Yelp about it. If I didn't have such high expectations for Ruth's Chris as set by previous dining experiences there, it wouldn't be as bad.... First of all, I will say the ambiance and decor at this new location are stunning! The staff are also very attentive and friendly. But for our experience yesterday, it basically ended there. We went on Sunday to celebrate my brother's 17th birthday and my 5-year wedding anniversary. We were there for nearly 3 hours, and not because we wanted to be! My brother had school at 7:30am the next day, and I had to be at work at 7:00am the next day myself. We did not intend to be there until well after 9pm (and could have been later had I not gotten my dessert to go) when we arrived at 6:45pm! My mom may have set a negative tone when she jokingly complained about the small wine pour. The waiter then took her wine glass AND mine and kept them for about 10 minutes, only to bring them back with basically the same amount of wine in them?? That was our first unnecessary delay. The next bummer was the amount of time between the appetizers and the salads (15 minutes maybe), all the while I am staring at my watch beginning to wonder how tired I will be today...which is pretty darn tired. My spinach salad was not that great but, who cares, it's a salad. The gumbo my husband got was amazing, and my brother really liked his caprese salad. The calamari was pretty good, although not crispy due to the coating of sweet-and-sour sauce. Everyone liked the fried oysters but me. My mom ordered fries assuming they'd be the usual shoestring and was surprised when they came out as standard fries (no clarification from the waiter when she ordered); they fixed this promptly and courteously though. Here's the worst part: my steak was WAY overcooked. I'm pregnant, so ordering a medium-rare steak is a treat I rarely get to do, unless I am eating at a very upscale place. To my extreme dismay, my steak was medium-well - I mean hardly any pink at all. My lucky husband ordered the same exact thing, but his cut was thicker, and that is why I believe his was properly cooked yet mine was not. But it seems a novice mistake, to misjudge cooking time based on weight and not consider thickness.... By this point in the meal, I was exhausted and uncomfortable from having sat there so long already that I didn't want to go through the process of sending it back, having the manager come out, and waiting for another one while everyone else ate their entree, so I just didn't eat it. My step-dad gave me some of his medium-rare steak, which he had ordered medium, so some of it was too rare for his taste anyway. I have not yet tried the dessert that we ended up taking to-go because it was so late, but it did look good! I suppose that's the gist of the experience. I don't know that our experience there was typical, but that's how the cookie crumbles sometimes.

Seating: A lot, but better of to book. Usually they are booked up on weekend. They do have outdoor seating (seasonal). Food: the BEST steak in my entree life. You do pay for what you get for. Service: Friendly, checking on us frequently Parking: Plenty pf parking Highly recommended to celebrate special occassion.

My first visit to this location was somewhat unusual because it was for a fashion show. Yes, a fashion show on their patio. Who would have thought something like that would work? Fortunately, it did! It was a bit chaotic and at times difficult to find a staff member to take our order, but it was totally understandable. The show was delayed due to the storm, so the staff was doing the best that they could to prepare the area once the storm was over. I was mostly in the bar and patio area. Both areas were beautiful! I mean this place is stunning! They offered $5 drink specials so I had to try the Bellini. Perfect except it was a tad messy because the flute was overfilled. I was uber hungry. Their bar menu was limited, so I ordered a burger. Wow! The burger and fries were delish! I'm not a huge burger fan, but I was definitely pleased even considering the $15 price tag. I was stuffed about half way through. All in all, I had a fabulous visit! Great food, atmosphere, and fashion show by Profyle Boutique. I can't wait to return for maybe a Happy Hour or hopefully they will participate in Northside Nights!

The dinner started off on a cold note, the AC was blasting on us the entire time and it was freezing. I asked for it to be turned down during the beginning of service, but I didn't feel the change until we left. The interior is nice, but since the space is so huge the service can be sporadic. I didn't really feel like we got attentive service especially for the price we paid. We had to wait awhile to even get the check even though our table had cleared out (granted this was on a Friday night, but if anything there should be more servers working). So in terms of food, the salads are about $10-15 and more of a single serving size. We got the Signature Chopped salad and the Caesar Salad. They were both underwhelming, I should have taken pictures but the Caesar salad was just whole romaine lettuce leaves with little flavor (DON'T ORDER THIS) and the chopped salad was more like upscale coleslaw (DON'T ORDER THE SALADS HERE). It was just ok. The steaks were good, supposedly the highest grade. However, it doesn't justify the price if it isn't dry aged. You're basically paying for the name and the 500 degree plates. Also, there are certain sides that should be ordered. Don't order the asparagus, it's bleh. I liked the interior of the place, but to justify the prices there has to be something outstanding. I've been to other steakhouses in Indiana and in NYC, the steaks are good but not worth the premium. Also: When we made the reservation, they asked us if it was for a special occasion and I told them we were celebrating a birthday and graduation. I guess they forgot or there was nothing of mention. Not sure if I have to remind them or buy extra dessert. Didn't really see the point of asking in the reservation if there was nothing as a result. 2.5 stars rounded down. Won't be coming again.

HAVE AGAIN: go to the bar and order the Filet Oscar (comes with crab and two asparagus) for $23. Just the right amount of food if you are not real hungry. Fast service and great for one or two people. Really good filet, probably about 5 oz.
