PF Chang's is so overrated.. Mediocre Asian food at about a 50% increase in cost from a Chinese takeout restaurant (not including tip or drinks). Ex: sesame chicken costs about $14 here, but usually goes for $9-10 at a typical Chinese place, AND you'd be getting more food at that place usually. Oh well.. cost aside.. Food - Pretty tasty. I do love their Chicken Wraps appetizer, and their Chang's Spicy Chicken. Really, the main thing PF Chang's does well is their beef dishes. Their chicken dishes can be hit or miss, but they do an excellent job on mongolian beef, schezuan beef, etc. They also have a huge gluten-free menu, which is nice for hipsters and people with Celiac disease. Service - not the best. As usual. This place is packed no matter what time you go, and they never have enough waiters working. We waited 10 minutes before anyone even came to get our drink orders, so we had enough time to place our food orders right then as well. The food came out fairly fast so their cooks are on top of things at least. Don't bother asking any questions about the menu though, their waiters and cooks are clueless. Atmosphere - Loud. PF Chang's is always loud and crowded. We only go to PF Chang's because they have gluten-free food for our relatives to eat. Their food is pretty good but the crowded restaurant, price and service isn't worth going back for.

This was my second time trying P.F. Chang's at Keystone. The first time the wait was too long so we didn't end up eating here. Tonight was a little different. Being Mothers day we made reservations for 6pm knowing that this place get's crowded. We arrived at 5:55 and checked in. We were told they were running behind and that it would be just a short wait. 30 minutes later we were still waiting and others around us were also in the same situation. I finally went to find out what was going on. Looking around there weren't any open tables and you could see that it was still going to be a while. The guy at the hostess stand in front of my who also had a 6pm reservation was complaining and they gave him a pretty poor excuse. I asked him how much longer and he said it was still going to be another 20 or 30 minutes. I then just handed my pager to the hostess and said I'm done and not staying. I then went to my Open Table app and made a reservation at Sullivan's Steakhouse next door. I walked over and upon showing up at Sullivan's I was promptly seated. I would suggest that P.F. Chang's management go over and talk to the people at Sullivan's or Maggiano's and learn how reservations actually work. The only thing that I could think of was the Seinfeld episode where Jerry goes to rent a car and made a reservation but they didn't have any cars. Apparently P.F. Chang's knows how to take the reservation, they just don't know how to hold the reservation which is the most important part of the reservation. Will not come back to this place. Not worth it when there are so many other good places around that know how to treat their guests.

My wife and I had had a quite long and busy week, and when Friday night rolled around, we were ready to enjoy a nice meal and relax for a bit, and just catch up with each other. We arrived shortly before 5PM,and were seated promptly. The hostess was pleasant and the decor was warm and inviting. After that, things kind of started to fall apart. Our waitress was a bit harried, and I got the distinct feeling that she wanted to get us in and out as soon as possible. We typically aren't ones to linger in a restaurant longer than is necessary, but this feeling of being rushed left me feeling a bit uncomfortable from the start. I ordered their house made non alcoholic Ginger Beer. I'm a big fan of Ginger Beer, and this is among the best I have EVER had. It was amazing. We looked at the menu, and decided on the two for one price dinner. This includes an appetizer, soup, main course, and dessert. For our appetizer, we chose the chicken lettuce wraps, and those were the highlightof the meal. Really, really good. I ordered hot and sour soup, and it was neither hot nor sour, sadly. For our entrees, my wife ordered a spicy chicken dish and it was indeed tasty. I opted for the orange beef, and it was sub par. The flavor just wasn't there for me, and the beef was quite tough with a lot of gristle in it. For our dessert, we ordered the chocolate raspberry won tons, but received the creme cheese won tons instead. I also thought the our meal was delivered was a bit "off". We got our soup, then our appetizer, then the main course, then our fortune cookies and check, and then our dessert. All in all, I left wondering why everyone seems to love PF Changs. Would I return? If someone else wanted to eat there, yes, I would, but it would never be a place I would choose.

P.F Changs is a higher end Chinese restaurant with a unique spin on traditional dishes. I absolutely recommend the lettuce wraps as an appetizer. The flavor is full, fresh, and zesty! The sauce is very flavorful and the meat, veggie, and cashew / water chestnuts combination is spot on. The General Tso's chicken is spicy and delicious as well. Sometimes the rice seems a bit sticky or dry and I think the place is a tad over priced but for an upscale version of Chinese dishes this is a good place to check out. Good for groups also!

The server was great. Called to get reservations and girl who answered hung up on me the first time called back and I guess I was a bother to her very RUDE! The food was awful don't plan on going back. Had to go to Cheesecake Factory to get take out it was so bad. Gave 2 stars cause our server tried.

Asian flare has been a staple here for some years. The menu has changed since they first opened and was very surprising. This location is typically crowded and loud so lick your time well. You can switch chicken or shrimp for any of the veggie dishes-just ask. The curry is not as spicy as some like but great for the milder tastes. We also had the dan dan noodles-a association favorite I'm told. Dishes are usually big enough to share and every thing was fresh and tasty.

I had not been at a PF Chang's but several of my friends love this place so I gave it a try. The first thing I noticed was that everything was overpriced. I don't mind paying a little more if the food is excellent but this food was bland and flavorless. The waitress cleared away our lettuce wraps that we had only half eaten before the entree was brought; she did not ask if we were done. We ordered dessert but it was still half frozen and had a chemical taste to it... Freezerburn? I wouldn't eat here again and it is a reinforcement of why I don't like major chains. It might be good where my friends live, but this site obviously relies on the brand recognition and not their own quality.

Not much new to report here - each Changs experience is consistently good. Our server this time was outstanding. He didn't break any of my Server Commandments: He didn't greet us as "Hey Guys", he didn't force me to ask for drink refills, and he didn't disappear once we finished eating, forcing me to beg for the check. I had my usually combo fried rice, which was great. I branched out and did a California Roll as an appetizer, and I was struck by how fresh it was.

So yea, it's a "fancy" chain Chinese. I had not been here in a few years but I remember my first experience having one of the best service experiences I have ever had so I was happy to go with some coworkers one night after work. Our server was nice and while it wasn't the experience I had the time before it was perfectly fine with me because my coworkers and I were super chatty and didn't mind being left alone. She was friendly and attentive to an appropriate level though so kudos to her. I really had no idea what to order so I just went for something I knew I wouldn't mind, the sweet & sour chicken. I thought it was delicious, the chicken was seriously the perfect amount of crispy under the sauce. Mmm, I want some more now. It didn't reheat super well so I'd recommend eating it all here if you can. I also had a couple lettuce wraps and those were tasty too. I love that you can get brown rice here! I also enjoyed a mojito that was good but maybe a smidge overpriced. One thumbs up from me they have a 2 person prix-fixe menu that seems like a great deal. I remember getting this when I visited years ago and remembering really enjoying trying a variety of items. Might have to make this a date night again sometime!

Had an opportunity to visit P F Chang's twice this year for special occasions (this most recent being our 11 year old's birthday - her choice) and have had wonderful experiences both times. Being plant-based for two years now, I am more conscious of places that have some nice options for "us." And this spot delivers. I ordered the vegetarian version of their famous lettuce wraps and they were just perfect. I didn't go away hungry, to be sure. My better half ordered their take on Pad Thai and found it to be just the right level of "kick." We also ordered their edamame starter, which also had just enough spice. All in all, we are big fans of P F Chang's. Consistent service, beautiful atmosphere and a nice variety of dishes.

I met someone for lunch at the Keystone location today around 11:30, which was about a half hour after they opened. There was one other table sitting down when I arrived, but they filled up rather quickly. We were seated within seconds and before we could even open the menu, our server came over to take our drink orders. We ordered quickly, and our food came out piping hot much faster than I've experienced recently at Pf Chang's. Our lunch-sized portions were plenty big, and even after skipping the salad/soup, I still wasn't able to eat all of it. My new advice: come for lunch, not dinner. You'll get great food, excellent service and it's a bit more budget friendly. Win win!

Hey guys.. I went with my friends yesterday.. The place was really amazing. The customer service was really good over here. We ordered mango ice tea, Ginger beer, coconut pineapple, and strawberry cucumber lemonade... The best one is the coconut pineapple drink. We ordered a hot and sour soup large bowl. It was really Gud for 3 people. Dragon dynamite appetizer was really superb here. We had a Pan Thai combo and shrimp with lobster sauce... Shrimp with lobster is Soo juicy and amazing to taste. The price is little high but we can go one in a month...

Expensive for essentially a take out place, yes but the ambiance and the food are worth it. Service is very good and the flavor combinations are wonderful.

Changs never disappoints! Tonight I chose something different from my "regular" and it was great. We also tried the fried green beans which I could have made a meal off of & hubs was shocked at how much he liked them. Hubby had Mongolian beef and loved it! Server was awesome! We choSe the 2 person, 4 course special which was reasonable for what we got. Love this place!

Chang's is my favorite Chinese place in Indy (although that may not be saying much because I'm not up for checking out too many hole in the wall joints for Chinese in particular). The food has consistently been really good every time I've gone. The crab wontons + plum sauce are great. I rarely buy appetizers but I get this almost every time I go! As others have said, it's busy during lunch and most nights (especially weekends) so be prepared to wait if you go during those times.

Wow, been going to this chain for years, and always look forward to fast service, good food, reasonable prices. What happened??? Waitress seemed okay but frustrated. Dinner time, good crowd and no line. Seated quickly. Waited, waited to order. Ordered dumplings - took 20 minutes. Ordered food - took over 30 minutes, arriving shortly after the dumplings. The food was ok but my chicken was all gristle (YUCK). Told waitress I was disappointed, she told manager who eventually (more waiting) gave her a coupon for a free appetizer to give me and NEVER came over himself. Why would I want more bad, slow food later? Ordered Sweet and Sour chicken to go for husband - sent with completely wrong sauces. Waitress tried to help by giving me about 10 fortune cookies :) 4 people, close to $100 --- so not worth it. This place used to be great - lots of better choices now.

I love P.F. Chang's at lunch - I work nearby, and it's really easy to call in an order and pick it up in a hurry. So my husband and I decided to try it at dinner. My work day ends at 4PM, so we were able to get in before the dinner rush. I like the variety of music and the combination of modern and classic decor. We were seated promptly, and then everything seemed to be off a little. Our waitress seemed pre-occupied, or extremely busy - despite the fact that there weren't that many people there yet. It seemed like she was a step behind all evening. I ordered a cup of Wonton soup (my favorite from Chang's!) and we shared an order of chicken lettuce wraps. For my entree I ordered Chang's spicy chicken, which I had not ordered before. It was exceptionally good! I wouldn't hesitate to get it again some time. We split the raspberry chocolate wontons for dessert...but they were the cream cheese ones instead. A little disappointing, but we weren't going to complain about it. All in all, the price for our experience seemed a little bit much. If I'm going to spend that much, everything should be top notch.

Went there a few weeks ago on a Saturday night and they were on about an hour wait. We decided to get the food to go and eat it at the food court. Obviously, no adult beverages, but it was nice. Way less crowded and much quieter. The food was pretty good. I had the Shanghai Waldorf chicken salad. Salad was way different than I have ever had before. It was good though, just read the description. My wife got the ginger chicken with broccoli. It was awesome. No mushy broccoli! We've always enjoyed PF Changs and look forward to visiting again!

Hit or miss. I ate here during business travel two nights in a row because it was within walking distance of my hotel. I was a single diner. The first night, I endured one of the worst servers ever. I got the impression he wasn't concerned about waiting my table since I was a single diner and he figured it would be a small check. (Though I ended up having drinks, an entree and dessert). Portion size was very small, which is not like other PF Changs. I also had a dessert - the salted caramel cake - and it was bad. I came back a second night, and are at the bar. This time I had good service, and the portion size was a lot better. I had a peanut butter dessert which was average. I normally love PF Changs but this one was the worst.

More like a 3.5. It's decent food, reliable but nothing special. I do love their fried rice, but you can't get it as a side for dinner. Go during lunch otherwise it's not worth the price!

Food was very good, service was even better had Chris as a waiter. Was one the best waiter I've ever had. Very pleasant man. Looked like the wait was long, but I made reservations, so I don't know. We had the sea bass and Kung pow scallops were very well prepared. Highly recommend.

I love everything about PF Changs but the prices. I also didn't like what I had seen on the news about their health code violations at this location the week I went there. I tried the Korean BBQ off the new summer menu and it was really good. My favorite thing is the crab wontons. We had a large party and our server seemed overwhelmed but was still friendly and helpful.

Curb side service makes takeout even easier. While in Indy working, I had the misfortune of enjoying the torrential downpours on Halloween night. The rain is the very reason all of the Indiana rescheduled Halloween for Friday, Nov 1st. Yes, you heard it right, Indiana changed Halloween to a dry day. Moving along to the real reason for the review. I was hungry, it was pouring and yet many of the Keystone Crossing restaurants were packed. I could not bring myself to fight with an umbrella and dry off just to have a meal. So, I pulled from the hotel parking garage and drove to PF's and my server brought it out. It was that easy. I recommend placing your order online. It is the sure way to request everything you want from utensils to chili paste. It is also worth mentioning that on Halloween they were offering 20% all online takeout orders. Great food, curbside service and a coupon... the perfect trifecta!!

There is a saying that if you have a high end shopping mall, you will find a P.F. Chang's close by, and the saying holds true for Keystone Mall. This Chang's always seems to be busy, especially during the weekends, so it is highly recommended to make reservations. This is by far one of my favorite chain restaurants because when you go to any Chang's, the food almost always tastes the same. One of the best things about this place is that they are very gluten free friendly, and they go out of the way to make sure that there is as little cross contamination as possible. Even the plates are different shapes and the sauces come out in different colored bowls. There is a wide variety of gluten free options, and there is no up charge for it. The service is generally fast and friendly. When I am in the more for Americanized Asian-Inspired food, Chang's is my go to fall back.

OK. First time at a PF Chang's. Came here because I was looking to steer away from the classic hole-in-the-wall chinese places that I typically love. I just was the mood for a classy vibe. Let me be honest, coming from a funeral and dressed to the 9s didn't make me want to go cheap. The decor is enchanting. Not that any of it is unique, I still love it. I'm trying to name another Chinese chain as famous as PFs but cannot.... It was lunch, and at keystone...so it was swamped. I went to the bar and he bartender was phenomenal. She was so attentive to all guests and I got my food within 15 min of sitting down... Overpriced, yes. Especially on the cocktail side....so i had a beer. They had some Asian styled cocktails which encourages me to me to come back when I'm rich. Food was decent. The tofu in the Buddha was very intriguing. I thought it was mushrooms most the time. Don't like chain restaurants? OK. Don't come.

Food has really gone down hill. Ordered orange peel shrimp, it was ok, use to be great, desert was a gummy chewy wonton, yuk. Service was barely polite, acted disgusted when we just ordered drinks and had to come back for order, brought us the bill and 10 min later the dessert. Lots of great restaurants, don't bother with this one, forgot to say that wonton soup was really good

This is a good location for birthday parties for young adults. They offer vegetarian dishes, and reservations for large parties. They also allow you to bring in cake. In this respect I fully recommend Changs for groups over 5. On the flip side, the service for more intimate groups has gone down in both service and food quality. The noise level is high and the baby/toddler ratio is increased significantly. This is why I say it is better for a larger party vs an intimate romantic dinner. The eggplant is an excellent dish! The Curbside is an excellent option if you are craving their signature dishes.

Stopped by with my daughters for dinner last night. Started with the Ahi Crisps and Crab Wontons. The Ahi Crisps were amazing. Nice mix of tuna, cucumber and scallions on a crisp. Crab Wontons were soggy and tasteless. Our meals were somewhat bland. Chang's fried rice had a strange taste. Overall, just a ho hum...

My fiance has been begging me for months to go to P.F. Chang's & we finally got around to it a few weeks ago with friends at Keystone. We went for lunch and the place was packed, but we were seated immediately. The waitress was great and the chicken lettuce wraps were to die for. Hoping we can go back soon, because this place is delicious!

Went here on a date night because my boyfriend had never been! They have a very wide selection of more gourmet chinese food. Its not something you'll find at a buffet or other places. In most comments they've mentioned that its a chain so whatever, but as a chain they have stuck to what they do and they do it well. I loved that they had a special winter menu with other offerings that really stuck to their asian theme. Unfortunately we did not try anything off of that menu this trip. Of course we started with the classic Chicken Lettuce Wraps. I love the cold of the lettuce around the warm chicken and watercress filling. The crunch the watercress gives fits perfectly with the tender chicken and lettuce. Plus the little rice noodles are so fun, when I was younger I thought they were feeding us styrofoam so I still chuckle when I see them! For dinner we got the Chicken Lo-Mein and Orange Peel Beef. The lo-mein was delicious and not too many veggies. I sometimes feel like at buffets they overload the noodles with veggies so you don't really get many noodles. At PF they had a very good balance so every bite had tender noodles with crunchy veggies. The orange peel beef was by far my favorite dish of the night. The outside was crunchy while the inside was tender. The sauce was sweet, tangy and finished with a nice heat in the back of your throat. Definitely umami.

I had the lettuce wraps and spicy pepper steak. The lettuce wraps weren't awe-inspiring, but I enjoyed the pepper steak with brown rice. It's a little pricey, but good.

There is a high turn over rate. The restaurant is large. There are booths, tables, and a bar. Our server was pleasant (and surprised I asked him how his day was going) and the service was fine. The parking is in a private lot. The food is good. The friend rice meal was a large portion. We got a table quickly but waited for 45 minutes for food in the busy afternoon and everything was just OK.

I go to this place (not this exact location) once every few years either because my wife forces me to, co-workers force me to, or someone else forces to me. Then I'm reminded of why I only go when I'm forced by someone to go. The dishes here are "Chinese" in the same sense that Taco Bell is Mexican or Domino's Pizza is Italian. The food here is very salty and have very little resemblance to Chinese food. In fact, I would go out on a limb and say that this place is specifically designed for people who do *not* like authentic Chinese food at authentic Chinese restaurants (e.g., Sichuan). Look at the negative reviews for the authentic Chinese restaurants and you'll understand why this place exists and thrives as the authentic Chinese restaurants are: -too spicy -serve parts of animals that have bones, heads (of fish), etc. on them -have no ambiance -have rude/indifferent staff -have dirty restrooms -have bad service -have staff that barely speaks English -have too many dishes on the menu and is too confusing PF Chang is like the Vanilla Ice of rap or the Kenny G of Jazz - it's "Chinese" for people who don't like Chinese like Vanilla Ice is "rap" for people who don't like rap and Kenny G is "jazz" for people who don't like jazz. I'll probably go in another 3-5 years because someone forces me to, and then I'll be reminded (again) why I hate it.

After years of being a loyal customer, that has now ended. Once again, they've changed recipes on the lettuce wraps, Kung Pao everything, Calamari, and Orange Peel Chicken. They don't even have the little sauces on the table anymore. You have to ask. I'm sure that's not all. What the heck for? We went there for the staple tastes. Why the changes? Maybe they should change their name to P.F. Changed as well. Two stars only because the waitress was awesome.

Need a PF Changs fix but can't bear the thought of dealing with this location's seemingly every-present "45 minute wait" at dinnertime? Do yourself a favor and make a reservation online! That's what we did on our last visit and it was brilliant. We avoided lingering in the non-existent waiting area and being hit with chilly blasts of freezing cold air from folks coming and going through the doors. While you're making that online reservation, I'd also recommend doing yourself a favor and checking out the nutrition info online before dining! I was ASTOUNDED to see that the crispy green beans with sauce have 103 grams of fat! Um, yikes. There are some dishes that are tasty and nutritious -- so its worth a peek! This location also offers a super simple take-out option! Call and order in advance and pull up to the side of the building and give them a call to tell them you're there to pick it up! They run it out and save you the trouble of finding a parking spot! NICE, right? Frugalista tip: Sign up for their Warrior card online before dining (its free - similar to a myPanera card). I received a free order of lettuce wraps for my next visit!

Yes this is a chain restaurant don't hate them for it. My wife loves it so we go a few times a year. If you don't make reservations get takeout or you will spend a long time waiting. We usually get the lettuce wraps as an appetizer. Last time we tried a new sushi roll that had mango in it. It was really good, but even being good with chopsticks it fell apart. I ordered the Moscow mule for my cocktail and it was good. They didn't skimp on the alcohol, which means I got my money's worth. It is family style so my wife and I usually get 3 dishes to share and whatever is left over we eat for lunch the next day(reheats well). Changs spicy chicken is always choice #1. The Mongolian beef is always choice #2 and #3 is always something different. The food never disappoints. The dessert is the banana spring rolls. It is banana wrapped in like a spring roll and fried. It is served with berries and coconut ice cream. They did add new desserts, 2 different dessert wontons. We tried them and they were just okay. I will stick with my banana dessert.

I had lobster roll and lobster fried rice. Something new on their menu. The lobster in the fried rice is battered. I think their crab fried rice is better since I can taste the crabs and not the batter Why do restaurants think cilantro is a great as a garnish. Not everyone likes them. If you don't make sure you always ask My fav is their ice cream with fried bananas.

Been a bit since I ate here. Chicken spring roll is not very good. The shrimp wontons are great. Barely eatable is my chicken pad Thai, chicken is over cooked and hard, the noodles are a bit done too. What a waste of money

One of the most lack luster experiences I've had in a while. All started well, got a drink at the bar and got our table while waiting for so easy friends. As I make my way thru my scotch I notice something at the bottom of my cup. After closer inspection... 3 gnats... Bugs.. Or something. I walk over to the bar and my waiter sees me. I tell him and he's like oh my... Go back to your table and ill take care if it. Few minutes later he comes over and asks what I was drinking he s bringing another. The drink finally shows up after 5 or 10 minutes... Bug free. Says the managing partner and manager are here one of them will probably stop by. They never did. Dinner comes out and everything is tasty.. Until we find a chicken bone in our chicken fried rice... Really? The bills come and they have charged me for my replacement drink.. Already paid $12 for the bug filled one. Not to mention they charged us for another tables wine. Good thing we caught it. Only took him another 5 minutes to correct it. Overall... The food was mostly adequate but the service and details just sloppy. Bugs in the drink and bone in chicken and we still paid full price for everything. Not a care in the world for good old PF Changs. It will be a while before we are back.

I like the portions and variety of foods available here. The service is fine. I always have something to take home. The taste is reliable, even if it isn't the best Chinese food - or even that authentic for that matter. I recommend the chicken lettuce wraps, egg drop soup, mongolian beef, green beans, and lo mein. I've never had terrible service, nor have I had a bad food experience. This place is reliable and has been for the 8+ years that I've been coming.

The nice decor is deceiving, as P.F Chang's is closer to McDonalds than the fancy restaurant it tries really hard to be. Starting with the huge amount of sodium in each dish, there really isn't anything healthy here and the components that make the food that way don't even make it taste especially good. The mu Gu gai pan we had was chewy and no reason to come back.

    (2)
  • Brooke K.

It's a P.F. Chang's. It's not bad for a chain, but it's nothing incredible. I wish my colleagues didn't love chain restaurants. There are much better and more authentic Asian (Chinese, Thai, etc.) restaurants in the Indianapolis area.

  • Leslie H.

It's a hit and miss depending on what you order at any PF Changs. My family and I visited this location and its a decent size branch. Pros: I ordered the chicken lettuce wrap which is always a hit. The egg drop soup was good as well. We also ordered the banana rolls for dessert. I didn't like the bananas. However, I enjoyed the coconut ice cream thoroughly. Cons: The rice. How can an Asian restaurant go wrong on their rice?! I ordered the white rice and it was dry. Also, don't bother getting the orange chicken and the crispy honey glazed shrimp. They were blah in my opinion. You're better getting them from a mom and pop Chinese restaurant.

No! No! No!!!! What a waste of time and money. Overpriced Americanized mediocre Chinese food in a chain restaurant....in a psudo fancy setting. Had a business lunch here.....I hope I do not have to come here again. if you like this place......get past the big concrete horse outside and their lettuce wrap...crap....and get out and explore the other restaurants in the area.

Just ordered lunch to go, Mongolian beef and hot and sour soup. Usually, it's very good. It's my mainstay. Today was a completely different day...I had 5 pieces of beef (which are not big at all) in the Mongolian beef which were dry and tasted like salt. The hot and sour soup was what put my order over the edge and forced me to leave feedback. It was the worst soup I've ever had in my life! It was all salt and no sour. I'm sure it was just today, but nonetheless, it was horrible. I will not be back to this location.

The Keystone PF Changs seems to do a very brisk business, and the food is good, reasonably priced, and the service is professional. The room is very crowded, so if you are trapped in the ocean of small tables crammed into the restaurant's heart you'll be bumped into from behind and sides by wait staff and other diners all night; the space is not at all quiet, so its not an ideal place for a quiet evening; and the lights are very low. The location caters to a lot of families, so if you want to share an evening with a host of ill-behaved bourgeois children this is indeed your chance; this is perhaps unpredictable on any given night, but we shared an evening with a circle of boorish kids. The food is good if not absolutely spectacular, and the prices for a high-end chain are actually pretty reasonable.

My entree of Mandarin Chicken without the black bean (apparently in the sauce) with brown rice was delicious. The spicy seasoning tasted more like Korean vs. Chinese. The service for our group of 20 was excellent. I am rating this review as a 5-star because of all this. However, because I am a picky eater and/or the cost seems pricey to me, I do not think I would return with the current menu choices.

Me and my girlfriend ate here a while back and had a great experience. The food was great! We ordered off of one of those three course menus, which was very reasonably priced and had plenty of options. The service was outstanding! Our server was very attentive and informative. We will definitely be returning.

Dont be mad, but I have been here a few times and I have yet to be impressed. I dont get what all the hub bub is about. The portions are small yet expensive, it is pretty loud because of the open concept seating and the dishes are not very varied. I would never pay to go here myself but if someone else is treating I would tag along.

I'm not really a huge fan of chain restaurants. They're typically lifeless and dull with every recipe and interaction with staff choreographed and bland. This past week, my family had an experience at this PF Chang's that really changed my opinion of this location. We went in to celebrate my birthday with my parents, sister and her family, that included her three kids, the youngest of which is 18 months old. Turns out that the youngest wasn't feeling so well, and just before our entrees arrived, she vomited all over my brother in law. The server was unfazed and cleaned up the mess that hit the floor. Thinking that the little one was feeling better, they stayed to eat their favorite kung pao and hot & sour soup (despite it all getting a bit cold after the cleanup). Unfortunately, she vomited again, and made a second mess on the floor, which the server took care of without issue. We were profusely thanking her with the manager came over to see if everything was OK and to commiserate because she had kids as well and wasn't a stranger to the occasional sickness. She asked us if we needed anything, and my brother-in-law jokingly said, "if you have a change of clothes for her, that would be great!" Total sarcasm. It so happens that another server had a pile of clothes in her car destined for Goodwill that were just the right size for the 18 month old. Even though we indicated that it wasn't necessary at all, she independently went out to her car and found shirt and pants and gave them to us. It's this above and beyond the call of duty type of mentality that I have never experienced, nor would I have ever expected from a chain restaurant. This location happily proved me wrong. It will be a birthday story that I will remember and retell for a long time. Thanks for the great memory, PF Chang's!

Not sure if I'm a huge fan of this new menu . . . PFs nearest to us is usually busy, so we called ahead to make a reservation. "Sorry, we do not accept reservation less than a hour away." Oh well, it all worked out. The place was less then half full at 6:45. PM! My wife tends to be a picky eat, and can't stand spicy food. She wanted to order from the Seasonal Menu, but all items seemed to be "prepackaged", and. them spice level is not adjustable. Does this ALSO imply that the items are not cooked fresh to order? I ordered the Shrimp in Lobster Sauce. I have been used to the large shrimp n the creamy white sauce with tiny pieces of pork. Not tonight!! My plate was filled with "salad shrimp" in a light brown sauce, and had a taste as if they had been grilled, not sauteed. The sauce was long on green onions and garlic, short in the tiny pieces of pork. Mixed in was an egg that was either badly fried or poorly scrambled and a hit rubbery in texture. The waiter forgot to bring my egg drop soup. When this was brought to his attention, he volunteered to remove it from the bill , and then brought a large Wonton Soup to-go! Good man! At least the level of service is still the same. My daughter order Honey Chicken. We've noted in the past that the Honey Chicken WS cloyingly sweet. Today's item was thinly breaded with a thinner sauce. A BIG improvement, in our minds. thank God they didn't s few with the Salt and Pepper Calamari or the Wall of Chocolate Cake!!! All in all STILL good food, be be prepared. for some surprises as some of your favorites may have changed.

It'll be decent, fast and consistent. Ambiance: like any large Americanized restaurant it's friendly, not too loud and incredibly decorated. Tables are a bit tighter than your average restau but ok Service: excellent. They were slow tonight in our order but I didn't notice. When the check came we'd been apologized to by managers, waiters... Even took a big chunk off the check. Very nice. Food: consistent. This isn't fine dining or your fancy mom and pop only you know about it and omg isn't it authentic. It's solid, it tastes pretty good and it's consistent. Sesame chicken never fails and the summer menu, with duck rolls and and tomato salad was actually pretty good!

Very disappointed with our experience at this location. I have visited the Circle Center location multiple times and have always been satisfied; this was my husband's first PF Changs experience and it was HIGHLY disappointing. It took awhile for our waitress to greet us; she almost didn't take our drink orders, spilled beer when she poured it, and disappeared after bringing us our drinks (food was not brought by our waitress). The food was very bad. My husband had salmon and steamed veggies. Salmon was overcooked, veggies were mushy and both were WAY too salty. I ordered almond & cashew chicken and it literally had NO flavor whatsoever. We noted that we could have made a FROZEN meal at home and it would have been better. This experience WAS NOT worth the $60 we paid for it.

Yes it's a chain, and yes it's always packed with visiting middle managers on training courses. But have you tried the duck? Everything aside, and the end of the day they kill that duck, and the chenadu lamb or however you spell it. So for what it's worth, large china bowls, a mixing bowl for three sorts of sauces on the table, and a very depressing crowd, I think for $35 bucks a head and that duck I'd go back again.

Undeniably good food, service was slow but really fair for peak times. Great atmosphere. Was a first time visit for me :) Food was a lil pricey though. Will go back again.

My daughter and I are gluten-free, so going out to eat is a rare treat...getting a full menu to choose from is even rarer. PF Chang's consistently impresses us, and has become a regular stop on our infrequent trips to Indianapolis. It's probably a good thing there's not one in Bloomington or I'd be be there daily.

Yeah it's a chain, it's noisy and crowded. But it's also tasty and reliable, with some creative dishes. It's like the Cracker Barrel of Chinese ... you know what you're going to get, and it will be decent, wherever you are. I'm hooked on the dry rub northern style spare ribs with the excellent seasoning on the side. I love that their fried foods are very lightly coated and crispy, not doughy and oily like many "traditional" Chinese restaurants. Is it authentic Chinese? No way! But it's not trying to be. (If I want real Chinese food in Indianapolis, I'll head to Sichuan in Carmel.) If I want to have a fun dinner with something for everyone, then sometimes PF Chang's hits the spot.

The food is up to par with other PF Chang's. Nothing surprising or different than the experiences I've had dining at PF Chang's in Chicago and San Jose. I like the chicken with lettuce wraps and the Cantonese shrimp dish. The service was also just so-so. I don't know why, but I feel as though the servers at PF Changs aren't really that interested in adding value to a customer's experience. Water cups were rarely filled. No one inquired about the meals (granted, everything tasted fine). If the food isn't as good as it is, I'd probably stop going to PF Changs. I get better service at Cheesecake and Bucca, and they also serve good food. Overall, two stars due to to the mediocre service and bland tasting hot and sour soup.

Went here on Saturday night with my man and best girlfriend. I used to be addicted to the Szechuan calamari, which is now missing from the menu, the Ahi Tuna appetizer left a lot to be desired, the server did her best, even got the chef to make me my calamari dish. When the :big enough to share" entrees arrived, they where hardly ready for sharing. They brought me regular calamari, and it was half the size of previous PF orders I have had. All the entrees were 1/2 the size and on an average, $4-6 more then when I was here last summer. Yes, its a chain, but one of the few I would openly be willing to frequent. For knock off Asian food it was decent and what it lacked in quality it made up for in quantity. VERY disappointed.

Freaking YUMM-O!!!!! P. F. Chang's is not your average "Chinese restaurant." They have a fairly broad menu, so nearly everyone can find something to suit their palate. It is pretty pricey (about $30.00/person) but the food is always delicious and the service rocks! Things to try: lettuce wraps!( chicken AND veggie are tasty!), Kung Pao shrimp, honey chicken, Mongolian beef. Everything I have ever ordered has been dee-lish! Grab a dish and fulfill your wish!!!!

As far as a chinese chain goes, this place is the cream of the crop. Its not mall chinese food by any standards, its pretty damn good in fact. They have some really good lunch bowl specials which come with rice and a chicken or beef dish and a cup of soup all for about 8 or 9 bucks. The rest of the menu is also very good, including the crab rangoons and dumplings for appetizers and the general's chicken an orange beef for main courses. The decor of the restaurant is awesome, it really makes it feel upscale even thoguh youl probably walk out spending under $25 bucks. The waiters are all very professional and attentive. Nice spot to go for lunch if you work on the north side.

Okay, I have to admit that Chang's isn't my most favorite restaurant ever mostly due to the location. This place is always packed! However, this place is consistently good. The food is excellent - I always get the chicken fried rice - and I love the Bomb Pop drink they have here. They do not have it all PF Chang's locations, so enjoy it here while you can. The Husband and I also like their wine flights. It is a great way to try several wines over the course of a meal and it is reasonably priced (especially if you order more expensive wines!). Do not miss the lettuce wraps either. I know everyone talks about them, but they are really, really good!

Going down! Salt salt and more salt! the green beans soggy mush...something new they messed up. Shrimp fried rice I had to special order mine because its in a batch all drenched with salt so I wanted to hold the salt...it's in the sauce and brown rice. I don't have high blood pressure and I'm not over weight a size 10 but I hate over salted anything! Not a Asian in sight! I have eaten at PFC in Lansing Michigan a few years ago it was better because they weer new! Love the decor always have, but that's it! The food doesn't travel well either 10 min. up the road the greasy spring and eggs rolls yuck! just thinking about it makes me wanna barf. I called and complained twice. I'm giving up! their losing it.

Love my PF Changs! I took the wife here for Vday 2 years ago. I called and had them put rose petals and some flowers on a table for us. It was beautiful and she was so shocked! Service has always been exceptional and the quality has always been awesome!

It seems almost cruel to rate P.F. Chang's on its food when its so clearly designed to be an "eating experience." So before I say anything about the food I'll say the service was attentive and very good, the decor was lovely, and the place was bustling. But the food...now again, its my own fault for visiting. But what's a downtown business traveler to do? The egg drop soup tasted canned and was unfortunately more like chicken soup than anything else. My dumplings didn't hold together. The outer wrapping was rubbery and cold, burned in places and gummy in others. The inner dumpling was ok, but just ok. My Buddhist delight was full of broccoli, which made me happy but the sauce was heavy and had a not so pleasant aftertaste. The free fortune cookies had a good fortune for me, which was nice. Overall, though, given the cost, I would have been happier at the food court.

You know, everyone complains about chains, and for some reason, many single PF Changs out to illustrate the description. I'm not sure why; maybe because it tends to have better and more avant garde food than its contemporaries, making some feel it's a bit too ambitious. I think it's good. I like that they change the menu sometimes to reflect healthy choices, or their latest Asian-American fusion whims, or the like. The sauces tend to be well-flavored and not overly goopy, and I like that they offer the brown rice as well. A bit pricey, of course--but then, it's never empty on a Friday or Saturday night. These times, my boyfriend and I like to snag a bar spot and just eat there.

We had a nice meal. For finding a good chinese meal in Indiana this is the safest choice. Even on a busy night we were seated quickly. The waitstaff was attentive but not over bearing. Service was quick and the drinks were excellent. If ordering olives with the cocktails avoid the blue cheese stuffing they taste like they are stuffed with blue cheese dressing straight from the jar.

Went here with my love a month or two ago, loved the lettuce wraps that are on the gluten free menu, but...well...i must go back soon to refresh my memory! I hang my head in shame that i forgot to write the review, oh how life sometimes interrupts the fun stuff.

I've been to the P.F. Chang's chain twice (including this visit and at different locations). . . The first time was years ago and I was on a date. Both the date and the dining experience were a bust in my opinion. So, when it was suggested my friends and I meet up at this particular P.F. Chang's I figured I'd be open-minded and give the chain a second chance as a few years had past and I knew I enjoyed my friends company. The Food: Once again, the food did not thrill me. Enough said . . . The Service: This is the reason I am giving three stars. Brent did a good job of taking care of us. Good enough to give the two extra stars. All in all, I will not be back to this chain EVER again. . .

Other than the lettuce wraps and the egg drop soup, I cannot find a good reason to return. My last 2 visits have been less than satisfying. I find the entrees to be bland even when marked as spicy and the meat is dry. I don't agree that the food is tasty...Very disappointing...

A little too much of a chain restaurant for my taste. Although, their food is consistent and not bad...perfect place to take people who truly aren't into Asian food....but want "Chinese". Their dumplings are good and most people love the lettuce wraps. I actually liked this shrimp, walnut, melon dish...it was surprisingly good.

The best taste Chinese food in America... I know it is a chain restaurant, expensive and is not totally authentic, but the food is great and well prepared. We love almost everything that they have in the menu. Our favorite is beef ala sichuan...try this one it's spicy and crispy... Share a bowl of egg drop soup before your main dish, and mapo tofu taste great too. There are many Chinese inspired starters to try. My kids always enjoy their food from the kids menu: lo mein, fried rice or chicken finger with honey sauce. Some of the cons are: 1) Very crowded in the weekend...waiting time can be 45 minutes or longer 2)Small tables and tight space - sitting too close to others. 3) Steam rice - often too dry and hard to eat. 4) Unusual desserts for a Chinese restaurants - tiramisu, chocolate cake, cheesecake... but delicious... The price - for main dish, soda and tip, you will need to spend at least 17 dollar per adult here, and more if you order specialty drinks and desserts. Overall, this place is great and fun. The service is great too.

It's not fair for me to judge Chinese food establishments as I am not a fan of the food to begin with, but this place is popular, and I've bben conig to PF Changsha in Phoenix since 1997. The quality of their food is very consistent and the ambiance is always good for large groups

Trendy, Pricy, but comfortable. Wine list not bad, but I like the hot tea for NA purposes. Lettuce wraps are interesting. I love the Sesame Chicken, kids liked the Lemon peppered shrimp. Its Ok...usually busy because of location mainly.. I prefer my local carry out for price and taste but this isn't carry, out although I think they do offer it.

This P.F. Chang's bites. I usually go to a P.F. Chang's in the SF Bay Area (Emeryville) and was largely satisfied with the food I got there. Not like mom makes, but no Chinese mother really makes most of the food you see in a lot of mainstream Chinese restaurants. I go to the one in Emeryville because my wife (a small town Indiana girl) has an inexplicable fear of some of the Chinese places I like to go. The food at this Indianapolis location sucked. The garlic snap peas were stringy and undercooked while the stir fried Budhda's feast was overcooked. The mushu pork (who doesn't like build-your-own food?) was also defective in some inexplicable way. How is this possible? This place is a *chain* with centralized kitchen control via the internets. Would be 1 star but the wait staff are friendly and attentive.

We have been to this restaurant many times and really enjoyed their food. Tonight our experience was bad. The hot and sour soup tasted terrible, the orange peel chicken was nasty, and the Kung pao shrimp looked very unappetizing on the plate and was terrible tasting. We are not super picky diners by the way. I hope they rectify the problem because I have enjoyed this restaurant for years but tonight they would have lost a taste test to Panda Express :(

This is just a decent place to eat. The food is nothing really to write home about. I like the spicy stuff which they do pretty well. The food generally is a bit overpriced. I happened to go here and they were having a 2 person $40 prixe fixed menu that includes (per person) a soup, 1/2 appetizer, an entree, and the mini dessert. That deal is what makes this place worthwhile. The whole let me show you how to mix the sauces is a bit played, not a very good "gimmick" for a restaurant. I may update this if I have a "Randy Marsh" style incident.

Yes it's a chain but very consistent, I like the downtown location much better than the north. Always good food and great service!! Changs spicey chicken is one of my favorites! We like to go in a group and all get a different dish and share with eachother. A great night out and you know it will always be good.

Great three times on my trip to Indy. When in need of some great garlic noodles, schezuan scallops or honey crispy chicken, PF always delivers. Sure it isn't "traditional" chinese food, but if you are in the mood for good portions, healthy options, and a decent wine list for a corporate mid range place (the FIllaboa Albarino was awesome with the scallops btw - highly recommend it with any seafood entree pairing). Staff was friendly but unobtrusive, and helped facilitate great dining experiences!!!

Chinese Cuisine

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.

Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.

There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.
