I was so excited to find this Mr. Dan's location. I used to frequent the now closed one at Fallcreek & Keystone. I have craved a Mr. Dan's for over a year and was thrilled to happen by this location last night and beelined it here tonight. My visit started off with a very nice gentleman behind the counter welcoming and offering some of their new items like fish. I got my dad his first Double Dan's loaded and myself one of the extra huge tenderloins and 2 fries. Both my dad and I had leftover sandwhich for the fridge because the portions are so huge. My mental build up of my craving was not an exageration because I enjoyed every bite! Now that I know this location is there and Open, I can't wait to go back!!!

Big Hoss, that's all I have to say. With just asplash of mustard and it's breakfast sandwich heaven. I've been carrying on the tradition of being a Mr Dan's/Gay Dan's fan for nearly a decade and hopefully they'll be around when my kids walk on this earth.

Mr. Dan's Hamburgers might be the best, most happening place on Michigan Road! I absolutely loved this place and had a 100% wonderful experience here. Everyone was so nice, even the other customers eating in the restaurant, and the staff was even better. We ate outside on a picnic table and it was great. They have some eating room inside, but I get the feeling that most people get their food to-go. I'd say there are around eight tables inside and a bar top, and then the picnic table outside. I ordered two Chicago dogs and an order of chili cheese home fries and both were delicious. I highly recommend springing for chili cheese fries if you're feeling frisky. My meal was about $9.25. My friends ordered Mr. Dan burgers, chili, and home fries, and no one had any complaints whatsoever. I can't wait to go back and try more of their food. They have something called the Big Hoss and I desperately want to try it. I'll let you see the glory of Big Hoss when you go into the restaurant and see a large picture of it hanging on their wall. I had my standards low and I felt prepared. On a relatively empty stretch of Michigan Road, there's not much other choice. Mr. Dan's stands as a 24-hour answer to the biological need to feed. But it doesn't do much for our eating for pleasure. Mr. Dan's gave me the worst Chicago dog I've had in recent memory. And, at $3.66 (before tax), it was more than what I've paid in Chicago for a very good version. I'm really not that picky about it, but maybe I should have known better. No sport peppers: they put on peperoncinis. No pickle wedge: they use slices. I opted for no tomatoes, and I think that was a good move. You have your choice of "home fries" or french fries with the combo. I opted for home fries out of curiosity. Turns out these are not home fries but, rather, steak fries. Not bad, but I wouldn't come back for them. They had a lot of issues with my order too. Their computer was down and it threw them into a tailspin. I repeated my order to the different guys about five times over the plastic shield on the counter. They cooked the wrong thing at least once and poured me the wrong drink. But you shouldn't expect much if you're coming here.

Mr. Dan's is a convenient location along Michigan Road near Kessler Blvd. The place has a few signature items like the Big Hoss and the Big Dan. I have had good experiences with their service and like that they have Spot rewards. The dining room has always been clean when I've been here.
